I didn't go to the actual pharmacy part of the store so this is for the main drugstore, but I had such a lovely interaction this evening! I went in, mostly just for contact solution, but as I always end up doing when I'm in the CVS, I definitely roamed the aisles and ended up with way more than I bargained for! For one thing, and this is mostly across all CVS locations, I love the store. Some of their things can be expensive, but I live walking to a different location, and I find that when you're a consistent shopper, there are always an abundance of coupons and opportunities to save some dollars. And the convenience is worth it to me. For example, tonight my total was about $64 or so. By the time I had added all of my coupons and signed up for their monthly program, I paid less than $40. Sami helped me out and he was so lovely and kind! He helped me reactivate my ExtraCare membership. I ran in quickly initially without my card since they take Apple Pay, but I needed the physical card to activate my membership. It was truly no issue to run out for my card but he profusely apologized for the inconvenience. Sami was just so friendly and kept up the good natured conversation during our whole interaction whilst still maintaining good efficiency. Overall I left in the least amount of time but feeling completely taken care of. I feel like this is kind of across all locations, but specifically this store did not feel super well stocked. I don't really think that's their fault though. That kind of seems to be the model across most locations. But I will say this specific CVS had a lot more buttons around the store to call the staff since a lot of items are locked up now. My usual CVS definitely doesn't have as many as it needs and it can feel frustrating trying to get help. I needed something today and found an accessible button, and a staff member came very quickly to assist me. I had a very pleasant interaction with a cashier named Adrian. He was just so helpful and it stood out big time. He even pointed out coupons I could use if I wanted to. This was so impressive. In this day and age it's not often I come across someone going over and beyond. I thanked him, but when I got in the car and was leaving my wife a message about how great he was, I thought. Extremely rude workers. Listen, I know the economy is crap and getting paid hourly when you have no other life skills is a crapshoot, but be nice to people. I used one of their carts to transport a case of 24-pack of water. As I was leaving the store, I got stopped by one of their workers who was very rude to me. I explained to him it was a lot to carry to the car and I was going to return the cart when I was done. I even pointed out where my car was. Well, Cart Nazi promptly took out my items and handed me the case of water. Didn't even offer to assist me walking out to my car if he was that concerned. I complained with the store and also left a message with corporate. I know times are hard but pledging allegiance to a corporation who can easily replace you is not the look. read more

Virtual assistant for pharmacy is not good. I tried to find out when my son's prescription would be available and it would only allow me to refill my prescriptions. Shopping in Pasadena, California... I'm quite sure that I purchased postcards from CVS in the past. Wanting to look again at another CVS, I drove to the next store. This particular CVS (on the corner of Fair Oaks Avenue and Orange Grove Boulevard) is a stand-alone structure with its own parking lot. It was quite spacious and clean! I found the souvenir display... like the one at the first CVS that I visited on 7-11-24. I had an idea... and I hope it works... There are some stickers that seem to be the size of postcards. I got a couple and will mail one today. Hopefully, it gets delivered... to Germany. We shall see... Klaus: please let us know! I did stand in line and wait my turn. This review is only for the Pharmacy. The rest of the store deserves zero stars. I have been a CVS customer for a lot of years. This pharmacy is the best I have encountered. They are friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and courteous. They always return my phone calls in a timely manner. The pharmacy staff are great. The management or corporate needs to have the concrete outside the entry door cleaned. It is really nasty dirty with dried liquid stains and gum. It does not speak well for the store if the entrance is filthy. read more

If I could give this pharmacy negative stars I would. The store is under staffed and the strangest things are locked up, but the negative review belongs to the pharmacy. I understand that working food CVS is terrible (my sister worked at this location 20 years ago while she was in school). Customers aren't always friendly and CVS corporation didn't care about their employees, etc... but at the end of the day you go to work there because maybe you can't get hired anywhere else. Let's see one Sunday I went there at 3 to pick up my prescription and pharmacy was closed for lunch however all their signage says lunch is from 1:30-2:00pm so I can come back in one hour. My biggest frustration is my kid gets a medication that requires needles. My kid can't take the medication without the needles, yet every time I go pick up the medication the needles are never ready- EVER! It's stupid. I do not want to have to go to the same CVS multiple times in the same day. Today same thing. The tech said the needles will need ready in one hour which is a joke. Take it off the shelf, but okay. I come back in 50 minutes, bc I was done doing the other errands- still not ready. I finally pick up the needles and the stupid technician only put one of the three needles through. The pharmacist asked did you only want one needle? Why would I want one if the prescription is for 3? Every month I go through this. Went to pick up my medicine tonight & was in line for 25 min. The hours say the pharmacy close at 9 pm & I had been in line since 8:30. Then at 8:50 pm some curly haired short guy storms through the back room by the pick up window & yells at multiple customers in different cars & says they close at 9 even though there was still 10 more min??? There was only 2 more cars left. He gave us a dirty look & waved us off. A woman, her daughter and I, walked in at the same time, at 8:48. The pharmacy closes at 9. I'm assuming it's not going to take long & they didn't say it was too late to line up. There's only one other person in front of us. At 9:03 a 5 foot man child with curly hair starts barking at us loudly as he is handling money that they are now closed and whoever is behind the woman and her child will not be helped. A man who is 2 people behind me starts asking for clarity on which group, in which the short man child yells at all of us "WE CLOSE AT 9". All of that uncalled for and unprofessional. I understand your frustration but this is how cvs allow their pharmacists to speak to their customers. A shame rite aid closed down, they never acted like this. I've also have picked up from this location even though it's not the closest to me, but always has the items I need in stock. Had an amazing interaction with Yolanda! She was very professional, informative and hospitable! I had questions about coupons and she patiently explained everything to me in full detail. I made a second purchase right after what I came for originally because of her! This really makes stores like this shine! I will be coming back to this location. I ordered some photos online via the internet like I have done dozens of times. I waited until I could use the frequent 40 % off coupon. Imagine my shock when I got to the store I had a charge of nearly $36! I had already paid a "deposit" of $12.... I discovered that I had been routed to a third party vendor "Picta" who CVS works with.... I had never been routed this way online. "Picta" is a scam... the markup thru Picta is very very large!!! It appears that you are on CVS's website, but no... you are on "Picta". I complained to Keith and Sami who work at this CVS. They also agreed that the charge was high. Keith and Sami told me that instead of cancelling the order, that they would just charge me two dollars and some change, what I should have been charged. CVS corporate gets a ZERO for associating with third party scams terms like Picta! The Pasadena Orange Grove CVS gets five stars for resolving my complaint right away. CVS PHOTOS VIA PICTA IS A SCAM! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! This might be the worst pharmacy in America. The staff is so rude and genuinely doesn't care if you live or die, the apathy for their patients makes me SICK. Carol is vindictive and rude and has made me feel threatened for being upset that she is incompetent and mean. Haig (manager) is condescending and doesn't listen to concerns. I asked that he not call me (which he directly defied) because he threatened to hang up and not treat me if I said a curse word. I had said one (not directed at him) and he IMMEDIATELY interrupted me to lecture me about the way I speak for several minutes. Get over yourself. People may let one F bomb slide when they are concerned that they won't have their insulin, after it being promised to them. On that note, Michael, and many others have promised MULTIPLE TIMES that my medication would be ready and it has not been. They have told me that medications (without which I would be in extreme medical danger) would be at the pharmacy on time, only for them to send a message just before pickup time that it isn't there. When they have not had my medication, and find it 20+ miles away, they expect to be thanked profusely for doing their job, which they didn't actually do in the first place. I haven't left because the pharmacy is convenient, but at least once a month I am on the phone with them for over an hour, and have had to complain to corporate about egregious behavior more times than I can count. I am done. DO NOT GO TO THIS PHARMACY. I won't even go myself (have to send family) because I am afraid that the pharmacists will retaliate for valid complaints I have left. Listen, I NEVER CALL A MANGER I THINK ITS ICKY and I dont even leave bad reviews. But this pharmacy and its staff is incompetent at best and malicious at worst. I'm leaning toward malicious. If not, then DANGEROUSLY incompetent. It's at the point where I want to warn every living person not to go to this pharmacy. it is not worth the legitimate risks and inevitable detriments to your health. My recommendation for improvement? Replace the entire staff or close. I visited this CVS for staples in the stationery section. Unfortunately no bite. What surprised me was the staff member who I asked in the front wasn't even aware if they carried staples, and they did not run a quick check in the system. I was told if they're there, they're there... Otherwise they don't carry them. I'm surprised that there are binder clips, paper clips, tape, etc. but no staples. Guh! I am actually in tears writing this. I have a simple question regarding my elderly father's medication that I am trying to get for him. CVS app says they have contacted the doctor's office, the doctor's office says they have repeatedly put the refill through, but CVS is not showing that. I need to get this very simple medication urgently to my father and have spent the last hour dealing with CVS' STUPID, LUDICRIOUS automated system in which my only option is to leave a voicemail- and of course no one ever calls back. The worst part is that CVS does not need to provide good customer service because they are partially owned by the insurance companies who require us to use them. They know we have no other option. When I think of the amount of pain, stress and time wasted that this company causes people on a regular basis I am infuriated. Especially for our senior community who deserve so much more than this. Dropped if a prescription for my daughter yesterday. I was told that it would be ready in an hour. I told the young lady that I would probably be back the next day. Fast forward to today. Went back to the drive thru and informed them that I was told it would be ready yesterday but I hadn't received a call or text. I was then told by JULIE that they sent me a text and she proceeded to give me my home number. I told her that was a land line. After telling her that, she seemed to get an attitude. She then said that they left a message. Again, I told her THEY DID NOT. She then proceeded to give me a time of 3:40pm. SMH I AGAIN told this lady that NO ONE called. At this point I guess she was really bothered because she just walked away. The pharmacist ended up coming to assist me. CVS you need to do better with hiring folks. I ran into grab a few little basics. When I asked the various employees where I might find these items, they were not much help. One of the employees told me that what I was looking for would be down one aisle. It wasn't. Then I asked where I might find a few other items. I got nothing but the run around. I would not have had to ask so many questions had the aisles signs kinda matched the contents of the aisles themselves. Goodness. It looked like they were moving all kinds of things around. What a huge mess. Luckily this isn't my neighborhood or regularly frequented CVS. Yikes! Parking was easy, not to mention free. The one thing I will say is that the employees were easy enough to approach and ask them for what I was looking for . . . but it was terrible that they didn't know where anything was either. Ok, it's been years and while this is by no means a wonderland CVS they have definitely cleaned up their act. In good conscience I can't be nearly as scathing as I was. It's absolutely not fair with the hard work people have put in turning this place around. The pharmacy was also redone and has completely new staff. IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH, AVOID THIS "PHARMACY". I had not heard from them in days regarding my prescription so I called and navigated the labyrinth phone maze until I got a person on the phone. She informed me that the drug was in but they didn't call me because (and I quote) "I didn't think you would want to make the co-pay." I informed her that there are laws against a pharmacy making medical decisions for a patient and she then grunted and said "well, anyway we sold out of your medication now". I asked when it would be back in stock and was told "we never know until the truck drops it off". This is a place for everyone who got a D- in their pharmacy exam and, judging from the response and conversation on the phone, they are dipping into their own supplies. They are incompetent, passive, and utterly useless. CVS should fire everyone in that pharmacy and start fresh. Covid Vaccine Alert!!!! Don't get your vaccine here!!! I went to get my vaccine from moderna and the lady who administered it my vaccine came out with a bunch of vaccines... do they event know that they should only come with 1 ONE vaccine at the time per patient? I came into the Pharmacy yesterday and needed some meds to help alleviate pain due to a neck injury. The girl at the front was "nice" enough to say "Your medication isn't ready yet, I will expedite this, just have a walk around." I trusted that she was doing her best for me so I sat and waitedwhile in excruciating pain. 45 minutes later I asked the same girl when my meds would be ready. She said "For who?" Like she's never seen me before! Another pharmacy tech found my meds and she said it's been ready! UPDATE: stupid me. I came back and received the same treatment! Last night I was one of those terrible customers who show up as you are closing the doors. They let my Girlfriend run inside and get the one item she needed. I used to hate when people would do this kind of stuff when I worked in retail. But it makes a world of difference when the person doing it knows exactly what they need and move quickly. You should never walk into a store around closing time and shop around. Anyway, the service was good. I find this to be a good and convenient location, I just wish they were open later. They know me by name, they know what i need, they do their damndest to get through complicated medical perscriptions in a timely fashion. On more then one occasion they have worked with Me and My medical teams over the phone, juggling the right formulas for Me in realtime. I'm sure they make My health better, despite my own personal issues. The best. read more

Hands-down the most incompetently-run pharmacy I've been to in the US or Mexico. At least two prescriptions that were submitted to them were simply never filled, no call, no explanation; I had to get my providers to re-send them. (Providers, plural; I'm pretty sure the issue is with the pharmacy since this has happened with both my doctor and my cat's vet, who both played nicely with the pharmacy near my old apartment.) Other prescriptions, it turns out, were filled, but the pharmacy just never called me (and yes, they have my correct phone number on file; I checked) and so they just sent it back when I didn't pick it up on time. Whenever I call to ask if my prescription is ready, I have to navigate an extensive menu that doesn't let you skip the recordings by pressing the right number as soon as they start talking, the automated system rarely provides an answer, and I have to wait on hold for several minutes to talk to someone who's invariably short-tempered at a patient having the temerity to inquire. I've had good experiences recently with other CVS locations; I can't understand how one branch of a chain could be so much worse. read more

The 4 stars is relative to other CVS locations. It's big and very friendly. It's clean - not SPARKLING clean like some of them, but not gross like some of them. Staff is always right on top of things, will always ask if they can help and will escort you to find it. However, they don't always know about the product. However, be fair... they probably have not gone through arduous CVS-school to learn details about every product. They will share what they know, if it's a good seller, etc. The organic / cruelty-free section is small, unfortunately so that's not a reason to come but the pharmacy is. They are super-friendly, remember you and expedite things as much as possible. The drive-through is a godsend. read more
