Well, once upon a time, I WOULD have given this location a 5+ rating. Just absolutely loved it! Got all our vitamins, cold meds etc here. After 12-26-2012 I will NEVER set foot in this store again! Nor will any of my family!!If I could give them a -5 I would!!! I ran in to pick up some cough meds for the kids the day after Christmas and when I walked in, the dorr beeper went off. I ignored it because, well I had JUST WALKED IN! I hadn't even looked at anything outside! So there I was, looking at the sweatshirts, just inside the door, when the clerk came RUNNING up to check me out. 'Excuse me', he says, ' you set the alarm off.' I say,'But I just walked in..."and he goes on the say, 'Well. it might just be a tag in your shirt or something... We can fix that for you...' By that time I was uncomfortable, so I said 'We'll see' and went to get the meds. I was going to buy a sweatshirt, but decided not to after that. I brought the meds to the counter and went to pay for them, when sleazeball clerk called (really loudly) over the intercom for a BAG CHECK!!!!! Bag check my curvy pink you-know-what!! Unbelievable ignorance displayed by James Luu who claimed to be the pharmacist. I called regarding a drug recall i became aware of by a letter sent by Walgreens. He said no such recall was in effect - even when I read from the Walgreen's notice verbatim. Not only am I apparently a liar, he also said he could do nothing for me. Poor customer service and a total disregard for me as a patient. This is a level of ineptness that should not be tolerated. As long as he is the Pharmacist, I will no longer use Walgeen's for my prescription needs. I will also tell this story to all who will listen. read more

Pharmacist was kind, however, the store seemed understaffed and my prescriptions took much longer than expected as a result.

Long story short: I'm out of town and needed a prescription filled. As a long time Rite Aid customer I figured I would have no issues getting my prescription filled. They informed me they wouldn't fill it because I was out of town. I left angry and upset. Those feelings didn't last long because when I walked into this Walgreens and over to the pharmacy, I was greeted by the pharmacist with the biggest, welcoming, and genuine smile. She was so extremely helpful and kind!!! Such amazing customer service. I will never being going to rite aid again. This Walgreens and the pharmacist I dealt with have converted me to a Walgreens customer. I will definitely being switching all my prescriptions to Walgreens when I'm back from out of town! read more

Worst pharmacy experience ever due to Pharmacist Glen who works the night shift and his complete lack of people skills. He was rude and obviously hates his job because he went out of his way to be an obnoxious jerk. He greeted me with saying that I will have to wait while he takes a break. Who does that? This was at 2:30am without another person in sight. Well, I had to wait since I was just coming from the ER and needed my antibiotics ASAP. This morning I came into the store to have my passport photo taken. Victor took such care in taking my picture, fixing the lighting and he even made some adjustments on the computer to improve resolution before printing the photos. Worst experience at the photo department. Kevin stated he was the manager, but he appears to be clueless when it comes to his store. Moreover, when you ask for the corporate number he acts as if he does not know it. The place seems to be run by people that just do not care. They had our contact information but did not bother to call to inform us that their printer had been down for days. Yes, corporate will hear about this unwarranted customer service. I have come by here several times for my mom's prescription and it was never a memorable experience. Just come on in, pick up, and go home. This time though, a woman named Jessica was working the counter and she was awesome. Had a friendly smile, helped me out with no issues, and we even chatted for a few minutes about her Pharmacy school apps for a bit. Super nice woman and I hope to see her more. read more

Went here to fill a prescription. The pharmacist named GLENN B. was EXTREMELY condescending to me. He rolled his eyes when I asked him questions about getting the prescription filled out. He refused to here my questions or concerns. I've never had an experience like this before. They r usually nice and willing to help. If I had the option to put zero stars - I would. Very bad taste in my mouth. They should teach this guy a lesson in customer service or better yet should find his way behind a desk somewhere where he's not required to be nice for a living. read more

Ordered our photos online. Went to pick them up the next day and when I got home, half of the pictures were missing. Called and was put on hold and passed around from person to person. Finally got the photo department and it took them 20 minutes to find my order on the computer. They assured me that they would reprint them all and they would be ready in 30 minutes. We waited an hour. My husband drove down there to pick up the pic's only to be told they aren't ready and the machine is broken down. Really????? He has been there waiting for 45 minutes now because they keep telling him they will be ready soon. We won't be back. read more

LAST Sunday 7/28/13 went to fill NEW prescription (because my usual Rite Aid, does not carry BARR / TEVA products anymore) so I decided to switch to WALGREEN, talked to manager Juan & girl on the counter, she made a phone call & said "yes" we can get that brand for you - i was happy, WALGREEN to the rescue TODAY Thursday 8/1/13 back to WALGREEN to pickup, paid for Rx, and I always check before leaving - they gave me wrong meds / from another company - I asked for the Asian girl - she gave ATTITUDE "we don't have it !" we don't have it !" ... I said, I was here last Sunday & they said they CAN get it ? More ATTITUDE from Asian girl "we don't have it ! ". .... 10 mins later the Lady Asian Manager "HAVE IT" in her hands the brand, BARR / TEVA, the brand I ask for.. instead of apologizing to the customer, she tried to SSHHsh.... me & said "are you going to continue criticizing us?" .... I didn't want to give a bad review for this store. Workers are nice and they have a lot of the brands I need for a very picky senior (unlike the store that rhymes with Allmart); however, every time I walk in the store, the place smells of pot. Maybe it's just something in the lotions aisle straight in from the door, but once I smell it, it doesn't go away. Musty, earthy, "am I at a Phish concert?" smell. I had hoped it was a one time thing, but I often shop at 8am and it is there no matter when I go. I hope they fix it so I can make this a regular stop. read more

I will never shop at this walgreens again. My friend came to visit and she is over 21. She went to buy a bottle of wine for where she was staying (not with me) and they denied her service. I am under 21 and was next to her discussing how she looked young for twenty one with another customer (she had her birthday a month ago and was visiting me). The cashier listened in on our private conversation and then would not even look at her ID and denied her service. I understand if this is a store policy but frankly, the cashier was unkind and a bitch about it. It is also not anywhere in the California State Law. Very ridiculous, very demeaning. I understand we live in a college town but this cashier had no right to deny her service, we were very respectful and she was simply trying to buy some wine to relax before her early flight. I live just around the corner and it's in a very convenient location next to an ice cream shop and a deli as well as freeway and soon a coffee shop so I go there every week to pick a beverage an snack. Literally the worst pharmacy ever. Not kidding, I've been coming here for over three years and I would say they messed up my prescription in someway at least 70% of the time. I promise you I am not exaggerating. One time they gave me prescriptions that weren't even mine, another time they charge me for prescription I never received. Another time they told me that my prescription would be ready in two days l, and when I arrived they said that there is no record of this even though I was in the pharmacy in person speaking with one of the staff members about this. I'm not sure if it's they don't train their staff very well, or if it's a pharmacist issue, or if they really are just that dysfunctional! No matter what the case, I highly discourage anyone from going to this Walgreens. It is never a pleasant experience when coming here. I have decided to move all of my prescriptions to the CVS pharmacy. While this will put more work on me, in the long run it will save me so much time and grief from all of the issues I have received here. Good riddance to this pharmacy!!! read more

This Walgreens has the slowest pharmacy I have ever experienced. They have a lot to learn about speed and customer service from the location at Grand and 17th (which is amazing!) I understand they are busier but they have twice the staff. I have been coming here for three years, I get a prescription every month, and they still don't recognize my face or name. I'm pretty sure I could go back to the location on Grand, after 3 years of not being there, and they would still know me and smile. It is completely unreasonable for somebody to have to wait 30 minutes in line when there is only two cars. Figure out how to manage your indoor and drive-thru! read more

I started going to this Walgreens in 2012. I was at first impressed and joined the Walgreens Rewards program. But everything seemed to change in the Summer of 2015. I don't think the people working here want to be here. And, as other reviewers have noted: Service is hit and miss. Today was a tipping point. My daughter and I took in some old print photographs that we wanted to digitize. The middle aged guy working at noon said that we can use their scanner and digitized them ourselves; and that the story did not other any special services. We both looked up at the two signs on the wall featuring two "digital specialists," who were not working on a Sunday or who were not available to help anyone in reality. I would have paid to have digital copies made, and I probably will take the photographs to a place staffed by professionals. I probably never return here. read more
