First they had to figure out I indeed did have an appt for flu shot and tetanus (thank goodness I had a screen grab from their site). And after I filled out the paperwork I previously filled out online, I then waited in the newly formed line. After all that they realized they didn't have the shot to give me. They will NEVER answer phone calls in the pharmacy. I have been on hold for over an hour day after day. No matter the day of the week or the time of day, they will not answer the phone. It's been months since they've answered. I've even gone out of my way a few times to call the actual store and let them know the pharmacy doesn't answer. They gave my $80 pre-paid order to someone with a similar name, then refused to refund my money or replace the order. The other person's order (name two letters different from mine) was sitting right there and they don't check IDs, so it was obvious to anyone with half a brain what had happened. But no. After half an hour in the drive-through line with a grumpy toddler, then another half hour inside after dropping her off, I was told I had to take my free time tomorrow to drive from another town to talk to the manager when he's in. Worst customer service ever. I would give a 0 star if I could. Ordered my refill online on 7/19, picking it up on 7/24 and it's still not ready. This woman told me 20-30 minutes, and I checked back after 35 minutes and she said another 20-30 minutes after I waited more than half an hour ready. I called the pharmacy 3x. Each time left on hold for 20+ minutes (no kidding), just to be hung up on. I don't blame the pharmacy staff as much as their managers. The pharmacy must be grossly understaffed for such offensive service to be the norm. I hope no one needs their medication anytime soon. I had an appointment today for a flu shot. Not all pharmacies are doing appointments, so I made sure I found one that had them. When I got there, I was told there were 8 walk-ins before me, despite the fact that I had an appointment. I was told they were doing people in the order they arrived regardless of whether or not they had an appointment. I left. This store already had low reviews. I can understand why. Don't waste your time and effort and money there. There are other pharmacies respectful of your time and money. read more

Hubby needed his Blood Pressure medication filled. He goes into the store around 6:30pm to drop off RX and notices about 5 customers in line. The tech was quick to take the RX at the drop off window and quickly verified it was in fact in stock. He then informs Hubby they are busy and had at least a 30 minute wait. Hubby decides to return in a few hours to get his much needed medication. He gives this store over 5 hours to fill what was quoted as a 30 minute wait. Hubby returns to this Walgreens at 11:30pm and attempts to use the drive thru as he is tired and ready to go home and sleep. A woman pulls into the drive thru area but stops about 4 feet away from reaching the window. She does not pull forward, instead she stays right were she is. Realizing this is a Pharmacy, my sweet and more patient than me spouse waits on this zoned out woman for 15 minutes before he pulls around and enters the store. Immediately he realizes there is ONE PERSON IN THE PHARMACY WORKING. We assume this was a licensed Pharmacist, but with Walgreens you never know. Apparently Zone in the drive thru returns to her Earthly body and pulls forward to the window as the Pharmacist is stuck at the window dealing with her dumb ass. After 10 minutes, Hubby is finally acknowledged and told she will be with him shortly. Hubby's turn finally arrives. He is optimistic that his time at Walgreens was almost fulfilled as a bag with pills that had his name on it was produced. Then IT happens, the Pharmacist tries to counsel Hubby on his NEW medication. This wasn't a new drug for Hubby, simply a new RX for the same old Diovan HCT he's been on for years. The Pharmacist realized THEY FILLED THE WRONG DRUG!!!!! At this point she had to look at the RX and resubmit it to insurance. Then the Walgreens Curse continued as the computer gets no answer, not a yes, not a decline, but no answer. Now more customers are arriving for another round of understaffed customer service. The pharmacy phone is ringing, the clerks from upfront are paging the Pharmacist. Hubby was then given the options of paying full price for the CORRECT meds or returning tomorrow for it. He was completely out of his meds so after being informed a call to our insurance company would be placed AFTER she dealt with the line in the drive thru, the newly forming line in the store and don't forget the folks waiting on hold where dealt with! After waiting for over an hour to get the correct drug, waiting for the computer to start functioning she decided to try to run it through the computer one last time before calling insurance and it approved it! Walgreens needs to have more than one person working at night. They need to hire people who can put the CORRECT DRUG IN THE COMPUTER EVERYTIME. GIVING SOMEONE THE WRONG DRUG IS A BIG DEAL. THEY COULD KILL PEOPLE!!!!! I will NEVER return to Walgreens and plan to file a complaint with the State. read more

I generally don't do much shopping at Walgreens because I tend to prefer supporting local businesses. Hello, Bartell Drugs and QFC? But I found myself needing to come here one day because I happened to need some CR2025 batteries, and I had read online that Walgreens supplied such things for a low price. Of all the places in the world to carry these odd batteries, it had to be a drugstore... So I came in here and found some batteries right by the pharmacy window. They had CR2032s, but no CR2025s. I hung around there and waited in line to ask about it, and then they redirected me to customer service who pointed out an entire section of batteries right by the magazines. I hate it when stores don't put all their like items in one section. I never saw the point of having to search multiple sections to find what I'm looking for. Nevertheless, there it was. They had the CR2025 batteries in a one-pack for $5.99 each or two-pack for $8.79 each. I ended up buying two two-packs, so it was $17.58 or $19.25 after tax. I got what I came here for, although it ended up being more troublesome than I had imagined. On the plus side, this store is open 24 hours a day. They also have a drive-thru pharmacy! This 24-hour Walgreens is often very busy and because they're one of the few 24-hour pharmacies around, the wait to get a prescription filled can be long, especially if Overlake's ER has been busy. However, they do have a drive-thru pharmacy window which is fantastically helpful if you have sleeping small children with you or feel borderline in your ability to cope with people in the store. The drugstore has the usual collection of health & beauty aids, a bigger-than-average selection of food and snacks, and a biggish photo/electronics department. It's across the parking lot from a 24-hour Safeway, kitty-corner from a 24-hour McDonald's, and near an open-late Starbucks, so if shopping at the drugstore is not your idea of a good time, there are a few other options while you wait. The pharmacists are helpful and friendly and they definitely know how to cope with all the common insurance plans around here. If you're paying cash for your meds, you're way better off at Costco most of the time, but you should still price-shop Walgreens on their webpage; I was surprised that they had a few of my meds for less than Costco. The lost star is for those LONG waits. We waited almost an hour Saturday night for some prednisone and two Epi-pens after I had an anaphylaxis episode after eating peanuts. I fell asleep in my chair in the waiting area and it was fairly miserable to wait that long... and it's not the first time. Whatever happened to 20-minute turnaround times? read more

Standard service and convenient location. The employees in cashiers are kind and quick. Their cashier service can be quicker when a line forms up. There was another employee in the back was not checking the line and we had to wait for a while because the other cashiers was closed. I stopped at night around 8ish, possibly during the day there are more cashiers working. Still I would use this location for over the counter medications etc. read more

My son was sick with RSV. We needed to change the location where the prescription was sent from Kirkland to another Walgreens in either Issaquah or Renton. For over a day, we tried to call at least three times to contact this pharmacy. Each time, we waited on the phone for over an hour and was never connected. Even when the queue indicated that we were next, the staff let our calls ring on end for 7 minutes without picking up the phone. Eventually, someone picked up and hang up on us. No one answered or cared to answer. This is not the first time it has happened here. Another occasion, I had to drive there to demand my prescription to be relocated to another store. I am not disparaging all other Walgreens. I had good experiences with others at the Gig Harbor and Renton Sunset location. However, this is one of the worst Walgreens and drug store you can go to. I keep coming here for the convenience of the 24 hour drive thru window but everytime I sit in line waiting to be served I ask myself whether there's any better way..... There is no such thing as quick trip to this pharmacy. Even with 2 or 3 cars in front of me, I end up waiting at least 10 minutes to be served. The pharmacists and rude and rushed and unhelpful and really don't seem to like people in general. Other reviews have alluded to errors in prescriptions and YES. That is absolutely the case - especially when it comes to medication for small children that needs to be mixed - make sure you check and double check the dosage against what the caregiver provided. Went in here at 2 PM today to fill a antibodics and pain med prescription after dental surgery . My dentist was like it's just amoxicillin and extra strength Tylenol so they should fill it super fast be sure to get the antibodics down ASAP (I had a tooth that had been badly infected ) and then go to bed . I was in a ton of pain so went to the pharmacy in this store to have it filled since it was right by where my partner lives and I was staying there to rest after the procedure . The pharmacist told me it would be reaoy in 30 mins . Then as I was leaving they were like no wait come back after Four . I was like ok I need to get these meds in me but my partner gets off work then so sure . Came back at 4:15 there was a seven car deep line in the drive tru but said screw it . By the time I got to the window it was 4:39 and my partner was already late for catching a bus he needed to catch . Got to the window and they are like oh it's not ready 15-20 mins come back . I was raging mad and was like you told me 30 mins at 2 then you told me after four and I came back after four and have been waiting almost 30 mins in line . And they were like sorry it willl be ready on 15-20 . So drive my partner home at this point I'm in crying mouth pain from the surgery and the pain meds they gave me at the office have worn off . Wait in a 5 person deep line for another 15 mins finally get up there around close to five thirty and another girl is like oh I don't know they they told you they'd be ready they didn't even finish entering this into the system yet - come back in 20 mins . So now I'm crying in the Walgreens bathroom in pain waiting another 20 mins , while my partner might be locked out of his house since I took his keys to just run up here real quick . I'd hate to know someone desperately needed some meds or anything . read more

I've been a customer at this pharmacy for a while and the last two times I've tried to pick up my prescriptions have been terrible experiences. I was standing at the counter for 20 minutes with 5 people behind the counter and wasn't even acknowledged, so I left and decided to come back another day. This time they helped everyone in front of me and even one person behind me in line and the Claudia the manager told me they were closed. I told her my experience and said I'd like to take my business elsewhere and she said she didn't care if I did. It actually took longer for her to talk to me than it would have to just grab my prescriptions. Estimated 15 minute wait to fill a pre-packaged antibiotic prescription (no pill counting required). Just passed an hour, and have been the only person waiting for most of that. Apparently the pharmacist can't take the time to glance at it and verify it matches. Meanwhile the 4 (!) people behind the counter are chatting and socializing. repetitive horrible experience with pharmacy staff. unacceptable business behavior with phone calls and put me on hold multiple times after being on hold for an hour. when you call the location's number and ask for pharmacy it puts you in a queue line no matter what time of day it is, and you're stuck in that with "3 callers ahead waiting" for a good 35 minutes until it starts to minimize. when you finally get to your turn- the associate mistook us for an insurance agency and then said "oh you're not insurance- hold on" then left me on hold again. he came back and said "who's this? have I helped you already?" and I said no, and he said "ok I'll be right back." he never came back. instead it went from the waiting line to just ringing for 30 seconds before it hung up on me. after an HOUR of dealing with this bs. on top of that, they are completely incompetent on fixing RXs or communicating at all, with patients or with providers, and with insurance. I love Walgreens's medication management abilities which is why when I moved here I chose this location as its closest to my house but I've never experienced such horrible customer service with a pharmacy before until this location. extremely disappointed and when reading the other reviews for this location, I see that other patients are also having similar experiences and it makes me sad that people who rely on medication for health concerns and overall well-being are not being treated properly by the one place that is meant for that. absolutely ridiculous read more

Went to collect my prescription before October 28th as they stated and couldn't collect them because apparently the prescription had expired one day after they sent me an email to collect it? The app said to collect, the email said the same. They cancelled one for some reason on the day I went in and it said 2 refills remaining. So how was this expired? Worst service ever... I truly believe they messed up and wouldn't admit to it. Told me they needed to get in contact with my provider for new prescriptions. I won't be dealing with this store again. Very poor experience. The cashiers had no idea what they were doing and it was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I had coupons to use but the cashier had no idea how to apply them. They had to call the manager up 3 times to void the transaction and then rescan everything in just to have them not do it right again. For the most part, this Walgreens location is just your typical Walgreens. A place where you can show up at 3 in the morning when you're in desperate need of having your prescription filled or juts looking to stock up on the latest "As Seen on TV" items. The reason I'm giving this particular Walgreens four stars instead of three all surrounds the late night cashier that was on duty, Austin. He was the most polite, professional, phone transferring multitasking cashier I have probably ever encountered in my life. I've worked in customer service for many years, and have never experienced such a well mannered and professional young man working at any grocery store or convenient store that truly impacted my experience as a customer. Sometimes it's the great customer service given by people like Austin that makes you want to continue shopping at that particular location, even if it might be out of the way in comparison to a store selling like items. read more

They get 3 stars because they are a 24 hour pharmacy. They have good coupon specials (if you want to wander inside and wait) . So instead of perusing the aisles for 2 hours while you wait (and stick $50 worth of crap in your little itty bitty cart) you can go to the 24 hour Starbucks up the road to buy a latte to keep you awake while you wait 2 hours for a RX to be filled that you needed 3 hours ago. Pharmacy: This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. They constantly do not have my prescription,I have to call multiple times to ensure my prescription will be ready in time. They are understaffed which results in long waits both at the store and when waiting to talk to someone on the phone. The staff seems to not know what they are doing at times and I feel like I am having to explain situations to multiple people to get to someone that can actually answer my question or alleviate my problem. The actual pharmacists are great, knowledge and helpful. The other workers are pretty much useless. ~~UPDATE to previous review~~ I previously wrote a very poor review for the Walgreen's pharmacy, but something significant has changed over the past 10 months and I feel the need to give an update. Their customer service has *vastly* improved. It seems they have most of the same staff, so I'm not sure what caused the change. In any case, it is much appreciated. They have been much better about communicating delays in filling prescriptions and are just generally much more polite when I stop in. It's been a while since I've been made to feel like I'm being a nuisance for having the gall to pick up a prescription (which, by the way, is what their business is all about...). Anyway, now I feel a lot more confident that if I need a medication, it will be ready; or, if it won't, that they'll actually let me know so we don't both waste our time.
