Amoxicillin is an oral antibiotic that you can buy over the counter in any apothecary in Europe and most likely Asia. I have a gum infection below a tooth & this drug would make short work of the infection. But not here in the U.S. without a prescription. That means you have to visit a doctor $$$$$ which may not be cost effective for many. We also found a lot of doctors will want to run a bunch of tests, most just to make money for the doctor and no help to you. Do a search on Drugs.com and you will see it truly is a generic drug. I picked Walgreens simply because they probably have more clot as they are located in a hospital. I did a search of Canadian drug stores, could spend a week and get no where. I am not sure if contacting your Representative would help, I never got a response in the past from any. Remember they are in the pocket of big business and they don't give a rats about you. I know, I tried in the past contacting our Representatives and our Governor, you know that guy that has warmed the chair in Olympia for 12 years, and now thinks he is ready for a bigger chair in DC. Don't waste your time with his office.

The environment was very relaxing and there was almost no line inside (though I believe there were a few cars in the drive-thru). The lovely pharmacy assistant that helped check me out was very nice and helped set up my prescriptions to auto-renew. Heaven knows I'm horrible at remembering to call in my refills until it's too late so hopefully this helps future me! Mind you, I have been to SEVERAL pharmacies in the area--usually grocery stores (several Safeways, Fred Meyer, QFC, Costco, Walgreens--you name it) and average spending at LEAST a half hour in line in a severely understaffed pharmacy with a single stressed out pharmacist juggling multiple tasks. I got none of these stressy vibes at Ostroms. The shop was super cute too and I will definitely find something here next time I need to purchase a gift. The only thing that sucked was getting in and out of the parking lot during rush hour-ish time. That was a nightmare but not Ostroms fault by any means! Looking forward to my next pick-up and exploring the store even more.

Am I supposed to be ashamed of buying gifts? For the door to say "We're hiring smiling faces!" She sure is far off from it.

Throughout Covid 19, they were…read moreour go-to stop to get vaccines as everything was generally pretty painless and the pharmacists that actually administered the shots were very very good with children. Much better than other locations in town, for sure. Unfortunately, I had a pretty rude experience recently and I feel its worth mentioning as I now agree with the review below that mentioned "It depends on who you talk to". I didn't get the name, but she sounded like an older lady and she was simply unnecessarily rude when I inquired about getting a Covid 19 test. At this point in time, I do realize that Covid 19 tests are de-prioritized quite a bit. If you wanna be vaxxed, you are vaxxed, the mandates are lifted, cases are down, etc. But just the same, my son has symptoms and a fever and so I called around to figure out where to get a test. Naturally, I called my "go-to" place to do this and was first told to go to the website to schedule the appointment. Okay, no problem! So I do that, and there was no options to do so. I clicked on "today" and it said there was no available appointments. So I then clicked on future days and it wouldnt even let me click on them. So I called back and asked what I am doing wrong, because while I understand appointments may be filled up for a couple of days, the inability to make ANY appointment for ANY point in time for the entire month was confusing. I was told, shortly, that "We do not do tests on weekends", and I responded with, "Yes, I understand that, but..." and was interrupted for the woman to say "I WILL JUST LOOK AT THE SITE" in a huff. So I tried to continue with what I was saying, "Yes, I understand you don't make appointments on weekends, but I can't click anything for the entire month of April..." and she snaps back at me with a "LOOK, I CAN'T ANSWER ANYTHING UNTIL I LOOK AT THE WEBSITE MYSELF". Lady? Are you having a bad day? Because literally all I am trying to do is take care of my kid and get him a test. I don't need your rudeness and I don't need to be snapped at for asking basic questions. 3 months ago there was all the resources we needed in order to get a test and now they are all gone because apparently everyone has put Covid 19 in their rear view. Try to be more patient with people who just have simple questions to ask. And if you cant handle it, let someone else answer the phone. "Alex", who I spoke to first, was significantly nicer than you. I hung up on you because I do not have time to be spoken to like that. Happily, I was able to find a test site. If anyone else is curious and finding nothing but dead ends, simply go to Providence Monroe. They will get you in for a test with no BS, no website seemingly created in 1996, and no appointments. Just walk in. I will think twice before coming back to Pharm-a-Sav.

First of all, it's impossible to get a hold of this pharmacy. They never answer the phone and it always goes to voicemail. You have to leave your number on the voicemail and wait for a call back. No other way to contact them. So yeah if you're in a pinch and need your meds or you need to talk to a pharmacist...good luck. Wait times I came on a Friday right before the lunch rush around 11am and there were 2 people in front of me. I thought the line would move quickly but they only had 1 kiosk open out of 3 and the guy at the kiosk was someone in training. After about half an hour, I finally got to the kiosk. I had 4 prescriptions to pick up and the pharmacy counter looked like a zoo. He couldn't find the meds and was looking one by one in different baskets... it was like a kid on an Easter hunt. He even had the audacity to say "wow these things are hard to find." Idk why cvs would put all my 4 meds in different baskets... why can't it go under the patients name? I was literally there for another 20 mins waiting on him to find my meds. Meanwhile I turn my head around and the line is now 12 people in line...... It was so ridiculous. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to.
