They are so nice and helpful here! I love that they have the nasal flu vaccine because I don't like needles but still want the flu vaccine. The parking is mostly in the back and there is always a few empty spaces. It's easy to get into and out of. It's also pretty easy to find and it's on a main street. If you enter from the back, just keep going straight and you'll be in the pharmacy. Don't go up the stairs! The inside is nice, clean and bright. It's a little small but there are usually only a few other people in there so it isn't really a problem. read more

I found myself in the need for a compound prescription for my kitten so Kusler's it was. Who would have thought? New to me. Apparently, compound pharmacies are scarce for animals since my vet only uses two. Kusler's was the closest of the two so I chose them over the other option. My vet called Halfdan's RX into the pharmacy. The pharmacy called me to verify if I would like to have the RX mailed (2-3 business days) or if I would like to pick it up. I chose pick-up since I was anxious to get him started on his RX. Kusler's ensured me that they would put a rush order on Halfdan's RX so that it would be ready by 5pm on the same day that my vet called the RX in. When I arrived at Kusler's at 5:02pm, I was greeted by friendly staff members and Halfdan's RX was ready for pick-up. The pharmacist took the time to go over the RX administration with me, the same way a pharmacist would do with a human RX. A 10-day supply of Metronidazole was $35.82. I had no choice, but to go to Kusler's for my prescription. I needed a cream that did not contain alcohol so my regular pharmacy pointed me to their direction. While my pharmacy had contacted me several times to make sure they took care of me (forwarded my prescription, went over the ingredients and followed up if I was able to pick a tube up from Kusler's, etc), the staff at Kusler's didn't really have any compassion. The 3 ladies were busy chatting when I came up to the counter. I waited a little bit until one asked what I needed. The pharmacist went through the prescription with me, but her voice was so loud everyone could hear our conversation. That made me feel a little uncomfortable because I didn't want other people to know my business. Good product, but service could definitly be better! read more

Sometimes as you're driving through suburbia, seeing strip mall and shopping plaza after strip mall and shopping plaza, all anchored by massive, faux-Georgian temples to the worship of goods, all featuring a chain drug/variety store of one brand or another, you might have one of those wistful, nostalgic moments in which you ask yourself, "Whatever happened to the friendly little mom-'n'-pop drugstores that used to be on the corner of every small town? The charming ones that used to have soda fountains and comic books and Perry Como crooning on the radio?" And then you go to Kusler's, and...oh, look, here's the answer to that question. You're reminded why you go to Walgreens or Bartell's for just about everything else except prescriptions that require compounding. I've been here about six times now for a pet prescription. Service ranges from perfunctory to chilled. You don't get "hello, how can I help you?" You get a look that says, "Why are you interrupting us?" My vet called in the prescription Saturday morning. It was a renewal, not a new prescription. Kusler's is open until 2:00 p.m. Saturdays, but apparently, no action was taken on the prescription. At 1:58 p.m. Saturday, intentionally waiting until the end of their day so they wouldn't have to deal with my response, they called me and left a voice mail asking me if I needed the prescription now. What the--? Why would I have the vet call in a prescription if I didn't need it within the next couple of days, at the very least? Why would the vet call them with a prescription that he would not want filled? Why would a pharmacist think a prescription can wait? Wait for what? I called them back immediately, but of course, it being 1:59 p.m., nobody picked up. I left a message stating that yes, I need the prescription now. They called Monday morning and said they'd have the prescription ready Tuesday by noon. Three days to get a refill, for the love of Pete. Good thing I still had a few days left of my pet's meds. They're only open until 6 p.m. weeknights, and since they couldn't be bothered to even touch the prescription on Saturday, this meant taking off two hours early from work on a weekday so I could be back in Snohomish before Kusler's closed. When I picked up the prescription in their drive-thru area, the blonde pharmacist who opened the back door said nothing. No greeting, no smile, just a look on her face like, "What do you want?" If she hadn't been wearing a white lab coat, I'd not have thought her an employee, to be honest. Someday, Kusler's probably will close permanently; maybe Bartell's will start offering a compounding service, and that will be the end of Kusler's. Somebody from Kusler's will be in the local press, lamenting the end of the "small, family-owned drugstore" and the indifferent, thrift-minded consumers out there who choose those "big-box chain stores" instead. Color me unsurprised when that happens. read more

As with many of the pervious reviews posted here, my experience involved good product with poor customer service. Kustlers' have lost or ignored faxed prescription requests from my Vet more than once causing me to go days without needed meds. They take days to contact my Vet concerning refill validations causing me to go days without meds. They take days to contact me for arrangements for newly prescribed meds causing me to go days without meds. When confronted with these obvious oversights, they refuse to make it right by paying for overnight shipping or delivery. If you rely on your meds being shipped in a timely manner with respect for the health of your animals, look elsewhere. read more

I am pretty new to this area and have engaged with plenty of pleasant people here and the surrounding area. This place is the exception, these people are cranky all the time. They are not serviced oriented maybe because they don't have a compelling reason to be nice since they are the main compounding pharmacy in the area, except good old fashioned manners. Nope. I can not thank the pharmacy staff enough for how amazing they've been. Due to some recent health things I've had a few rx's to fill and very little patience. They were lightning fast, came and found me once it was filled and the pharmacist had a private room to discuss them with me. No embarrassing, counter front, scripted rx consults. He took time to review my questions and was very informative. And the store to walk around? Icing on the cake. I could spend way too much time there (and money!) given the chance. I know where to go now for gifts and specialty kitchen items. I've left every time now with some of their chocolates. Delish! My only disappointment is I didn't discover this Snohomish gem years ago. This place has the most friendly pharmacist and staff. I came in about 15 minutes before they closed on Saturday with a much needed prescription for my kiddo. The pharmacist got the staff right to work on my Rx and allowed me to wait inside while they closed up the shop. And of course I shopped around while there. It took about 35 minutes total (20 min passed closing time) to fill my prescription. They ran the insurance to be sure that I didn't pay too much and then sent me on my way. I have never been treated so rude in my life as I was this afternoon at Kusler's!! I realize that today was a hardship on the employees with a big sale going on as the store is closing ~~ but when I went in at 3:30 PM the store was open. I no sooner entered and employees were all wining rudley that they wanted to go home, time to close, etc.. I had several items in my hand to purchase and asked a flippy little spiked red head a question. Got a nasty look and she threw her hand in the air and said "we are closed" and walked off from me. Well, I guess you know I put all my stuff down and left with a not so kind remark to her! All the customers were complaining about the employees as we shopped...all of us walking on egg shells you might say. I understand from my friend "Annie" that the red head bitty has the wine shop in Snohomish. I am glad to know that!! I would not set foot in that wine shop for anything. I had honestly never even heard of a compounding pharmacy until about a week ago. I was online researching ways to help my child take medicine. We had tried EVERYTHING...he could not tolerate antibiotics or even over the counter medicines. I tried all the tricks in the book (hiding in food/drink, crushing pills etc) and time after time I saw my 6 year old vomit the medication back up. I felt so helpless that I could not help my child, or even bring his fever down from dangerous levels. I ended up giving him suppositories once or twice and was in desperate search of a better way. Enter Kusler's pharmacy. I called and spoke to the pharmacist Ryan and asked if there was anyway to make ibuprofen or acetaminophen in a chewable form. He was so kind and asked many questions about my son and our situation. He suggested a "gummy" type chewable and said he could make it there on site. I was overwhelmed with gratitude and the possibility of this working for me. He corresponded directly with my child's pediatrician and called me to let me know he was working on it. From our first conversation to pick up it was less than a week. I feel forever in gratitude for this pharmacy and will be a client for life. In the store they were so sweet to my sons and me as well. I even found some of my favorite sunscreen to pick up there, which is very hard to find (due to the high quality). They offer everything from prescriptions and over the counter medications, to cooking supplies, gifts, gourmet chocolates, games, teas, a variety of pleasing options for kids to the"more mature". This is my "go to" shop. Seems like I can't stay out of Kusler's . They have a outstanding pharmacy staff and the wait is never long. Or maybe it doesn't seem long because there is so much to look at here. Love the kitchen shop...loads of kitchenware as well as gourmet foods, books, soaps, etc. And then the home decor! From setting up an appointment over the phone to sitting down with our pharmacist the whole experience was fantastic. What I was most impressed with was the customer service! Due to their location from our current residence we had to drive several miles to get there and my partner and I ended up being a few minutes late. Once we arrived they greeted us warmly and never made us feel bad for running behind. On top of that they recommended a few places to go to while in the area since we drove so far to get there. I never thought I'd be writing a review for a pharmacy but here I am! This is the second time I've been here and the staff goes above & beyond for their customers. What brought me here is my vet put my 15 year old beloved kitty on meds. This is the only pharmacy that does compounding for this particular medicine. The staff really is outstanding. They explained what I needed to do for my kitty and how to administer the meds. The second visit was so positive too. They call you to let you know the time the meds will be ready. They even call you if they are ready early! The staff greets you with kindness, empathy and really makes you feel like you are an important customer. I contacted 2 area Pharmacies, one being Schriaz in Everett, and the other a place I recently reviewed in the Seattle area. I think you would be able to see the review on my profile, and I recommend that you do if you live in the Everett area. And use compound medications. If you do, I highly recommend Kusler's for both prescriptions for yourself but also for any compounded veterinary prescriptions. Kusler's has the best customer service. And the best prices for what I have been given. The medication they fill has changed my life. I suffer the effects of Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. This disorder is resistant to most treatments, and the medication filled allowed me to give back the Class 2 opiate medications that I was given. In a week, so I think whatever it is, is less important-being given the gift of something as simple as a Class 3 Nasal spray to use, and one that is so effective that any Class 2 medications are not necessary, I think that treating the patient like a criminal for what others have done, it's unacceptable. And it only shows how ignorant that even "professionals" can be. If you like a professional staff, and the convenience that Kusler's has to offer, and the safe, but also convient and the improvement in price was a wonderful surprise. For something to have such dramatic results, but not covered by insurance, it's a good alternative to use this pharmacy. They stock the medications and creams for a reasonable price. And they treat you in a kind and professional manner without the level of discrimination I have been subjected to. I have been a customer here since 1995, and now plan to exclusively use them for both the pain cream that I have been prescribed as well as the spray that has been so dramatically helpful to me and many friends through RSDSA. I am grateful for the opportunity to share such a positive experience, and will continue to use them-also what is a pleasure when I am able to get out of the house and fill this in the store, is the very nice shop that they have attached to the pharmacy. I could spend a fortune there, and often enjoy just looking. What I did find last year that was a blessing were hand and leg warmers that actually fit me-I wear children's sizes and often find that gloves, and so forth are just way too big. The warmers that keep my hands and legs warm prevent the level of pain from getting out of control. When my circulation shuts down, the pain intensifies. Ten fold. Called Kuslers phone # Saturday and talked to a gal; SURPRISE it was Rite Aid. Then a phone automated message from Rite Aid saying welcome. WHAT? I stayed at Kuslers as a pharmacy customer despite mistakes, no price matching or limited matching (when they remembered) because I want to support small town! Janet Kusler sold out all her pharmacy customers to Rite Aid, with no warning (well I found out later a letter in the local paper? who takes the paper?) Rite Aid in turn could not get their system working to transfer prescriptions and it has a blooming nightmare. 5 days of waiting, had a medical emergency due to this - forced to go to a pharmacy out of the way and out of several meds because of all the confusion! Janet claims no other place will give customer service like Kuslers did. REALLY?!! that certainly wasn't customer service for selling out and not letting long time customers know. RUDE! Way to go out with class! She has every right to close her shop but a little heads up or a note to say so long given when picking up scripts would of been thoughtful. This pharmacy has been an absolute lifesaver for me! My kitty Tiger is diabetic and hypothyroid and I should add, nearly impossible to pill. My veterinarian recommended this place and every day I thank the Lord for that! Being diabetic, the levothyroixin needs to be compounded sugar free and they were right on top of it. I have never stepped foot in the place, all our correspondence is by phone, but they have never failed to deliver Tiger's medication asap. read more

I will never use this pharmacy again. I had a prescription filled, no problem with my insurance. Kusler's is under new ownership and has lost their status with the insurance companies. Now, 30 days later, my refill isn't covered because of how the pharmacy provided the information for me to send to my insurance. Claim denied and no help from the pharmacy. I paid them and they could care less if I get reimbursed or not. read more
