Amoxicillin is an oral antibiotic that you can buy over the counter in any apothecary in Europe and most likely Asia. I have a gum infection below a tooth & this drug would make short work of the infection. But not here in the U.S. without a prescription. That means you have to visit a doctor $$$$$ which may not be cost effective for many. We also found a lot of doctors will want to run a bunch of tests, most just to make money for the doctor and no help to you. Do a search on Drugs.com and you will see it truly is a generic drug. I picked Walgreens simply because they probably have more clot as they are located in a hospital. I did a search of Canadian drug stores, could spend a week and get no where. I am not sure if contacting your Representative would help, I never got a response in the past from any. Remember they are in the pocket of big business and they don't give a rats about you. I know, I tried in the past contacting our Representatives and our Governor, you know that guy that has warmed the chair in Olympia for 12 years, and now thinks he is ready for a bigger chair in DC. Don't waste your time with his office.

Pharmacist Halle L. is a miserable non-professional. If I could rate her 0, I certainly would. She…read moreworks evenings (The day time male pharmacist is WONDERFUL!). Unfortunately I must recommend forgoing all prescriptions at this Walgreen's location for fear you may encounter Halle L. Yesterday I called 3 times to get automated updates. First one told me scripts would be ready at 11:30am. Second update was they'd be ready by 2pm. Third update said by 6:30pm. I arrived at the drive-thru at 7:30pm (30 minutes before close). The assistant told me the scripts weren't ready and to come back in 15 minutes. I drove up to the window again at 7:46pm. Assistant told me they still weren't ready and to come back again in 15 (more) minutes, which, by then, would be after close at 8pm. I told her I would just wait there, thank you. Unprofessional "pharmacist", Halle L. got on the drive-thru phone and told me no one is allowed to, "block my driveway". I replied with, "I am not blocking anyone's driveway. There is no one behind me and you close in 12 minutes. If a car pulls up behind me, I will drive around, as is standard protocol." She then told me, "I have the authority to refuse service to anyone and I will not fill your prescriptions today." Up until then I was calm and understanding - even after waiting all day and yes, being told to come back, "in 15 minutes..". I asked her if she was serious. After she affirmed, I told her she was a miserable human being. I didn't yell, rather stated the fact in a less calm tone, maintaining volume control. If you want professional and prompt customer service, do NOT go to Walgreens and I warn you, stay away from Halle L.

And when I made my purchase he literally apologized TO ME for sitting. Like what the actual fuck. I cannot believe that someone high up probably made him feel like he could not sit and rest and then he has to say sorry to me. That is a disgrace. Ya'll gotta take better care of your hard working employees because that is disgusting.

In the back of the store is an old school soda fountain diner. Like Woolworths used to have when I was a small child. It took me back to being a kid and asking grandma to buy me a sundae or a bag of Fritos with a scoop of chili in it. All I wanted to do was look at the menu so I walked over and opened one up at the counter. As I was perusing an older gentleman told me about the Saturday special. Burger and fries for $4.75, $4.95 if you want cheese on it. His arrived as we were talking and it looked so good we decided to stay. I'm glad we did! We both had cheeseburgers. I never have onion on mine, it's too sharp of a flavor and takes away from the burger. Bun was lightly toasted, plenty of smatterings but not too much. The beef was grilled on a flat top and had a nice crispiness to it but still juicy. It's a thinner pattie but was plenty for the sandwich. You get a couple of leaves of lettuce and a thick tomato. It made me think of a Dick's deluxe if it wasn't mass produced. We had lunch at Lunchbox laboratory the day before and I have to tell you I liked this better! The fries were to die for! They are thinner like McDonald's fries but come unsalted. Which I liked because I'm an adult and can decide how much salt I want. Beautiful crispy fries served piping got. So darn good! The whole meal was perfection in a plastic basket. We really struck gold by chance and we are so happy for it. Definitely coming back!

I have generally had great service at this Pharm-a-Sav in Monroe. Throughout Covid 19, they were…read moreour go-to stop to get vaccines as everything was generally pretty painless and the pharmacists that actually administered the shots were very very good with children. Much better than other locations in town, for sure. Unfortunately, I had a pretty rude experience recently and I feel its worth mentioning as I now agree with the review below that mentioned "It depends on who you talk to". I didn't get the name, but she sounded like an older lady and she was simply unnecessarily rude when I inquired about getting a Covid 19 test. At this point in time, I do realize that Covid 19 tests are de-prioritized quite a bit. If you wanna be vaxxed, you are vaxxed, the mandates are lifted, cases are down, etc. But just the same, my son has symptoms and a fever and so I called around to figure out where to get a test. Naturally, I called my "go-to" place to do this and was first told to go to the website to schedule the appointment. Okay, no problem! So I do that, and there was no options to do so. I clicked on "today" and it said there was no available appointments. So I then clicked on future days and it wouldnt even let me click on them. So I called back and asked what I am doing wrong, because while I understand appointments may be filled up for a couple of days, the inability to make ANY appointment for ANY point in time for the entire month was confusing. I was told, shortly, that "We do not do tests on weekends", and I responded with, "Yes, I understand that, but..." and was interrupted for the woman to say "I WILL JUST LOOK AT THE SITE" in a huff. So I tried to continue with what I was saying, "Yes, I understand you don't make appointments on weekends, but I can't click anything for the entire month of April..." and she snaps back at me with a "LOOK, I CAN'T ANSWER ANYTHING UNTIL I LOOK AT THE WEBSITE MYSELF". Lady? Are you having a bad day? Because literally all I am trying to do is take care of my kid and get him a test. I don't need your rudeness and I don't need to be snapped at for asking basic questions. 3 months ago there was all the resources we needed in order to get a test and now they are all gone because apparently everyone has put Covid 19 in their rear view. Try to be more patient with people who just have simple questions to ask. And if you cant handle it, let someone else answer the phone. "Alex", who I spoke to first, was significantly nicer than you. I hung up on you because I do not have time to be spoken to like that. Happily, I was able to find a test site. If anyone else is curious and finding nothing but dead ends, simply go to Providence Monroe. They will get you in for a test with no BS, no website seemingly created in 1996, and no appointments. Just walk in. I will think twice before coming back to Pharm-a-Sav.

There were none in the greeting cards aisle and none near the souvenir t-shirts. I asked the Security Guard and he suggested Aisle 4... Nope. That's the beverage aisle. I thought that I should check Aisle 1 since I looked in every other aisle... Of course the post cards were there! The last place was the winner! I grabbed a bunch and waited in line to pay. The customers ahead of me didn't have their wallets out and one woman had questions about a gift card. I give these store clerks credit... challenging customers test your patience... LOL! Maybe it was the appointment I made with the pharmacist for a vaccine and when I showed up the pharmacy was boarded up and there were 14 people waiting and the pharmacy assistant screamed "there's no pharmacist! Apparently one will eventually show up." Spoiler: they didn't. Or maybe it was today when I tried again to get a vaccine. I made an appointment, showed up early, checked in and there was so much spit on the plexiglass between me and the pharmacist that she was literally blurry. At one point an assistant made eye contact with me, made a gun out of her fingers and pretended to shoot her self in the head. So yeah - this place is a stain on the Walgreens brand and our downtown. I'd rather drive to another pharmacy than walk to this one on my neighborhood.
