I had 2 prescriptions sent in from my doctor at 5 PM on Friday, so I knew they wouldn't be available for pick up until Saturday morning. I went there at 10:00 AM, no line at all, still waited 10 minutes, only to be told the Rx was not ready yet. I'm on a tight budget and with gas nearly $4 a gallon, running back and forth for this kind of thing is just not good. No wonder Rite Aid is going bankrupt. Customer service sucks! read more

Customer service has always been horrible. Not sure why i put up with it for so long. It's been horrible on new prescriptions and old. Text messages are cryptic. Counter personnel are surly and overwhelmed. Today was last straw. I was in hospital last night. Told hospital to send prescriptions to this rite aid in Monroe. I arrived at 9:45am only to be told it would be another 1.5hr wait. I called and asked if they could do anything for a special expedite. (Even thought they had effectively 3 to 4 hours to fill my script from hospital). They said no. So I'll just live with my problem and skip the recommended pharmaceuticals. BYE BYE RITE AID FROM A CUSTOMER WHO HAD BEEN LOYAL FOR AT LEAST A DECADE. I'd hate to have Pam Fs job. Can't imagine how this place stays busy. Must be a demand issue. I'll find another pharmacy for all my future needs. No need to refer me to customer service corporate number like all the others. read more

Unnecessary delay in health care. Rx ordered the day before and still unavailable the next day. Patients do not go to a Dr. Just to wait another 2 says for medications to get them better. Especially dangerous for breathing medications. read more

My family has used this pharmacy for years and up until a couple of years ago everything was fine. But now they don't answer their phones as I'm trying to track down my prescription, they told me on the phone that they're "behind by about 600 prescriptions", and entirely unhelpful. The pharmacist is so curt and unhelpful. I had RX to pick up after an ER visit and one of them is a pain narcotic (which I do not want) I asked if there is an OTC instead. He says take Advil (which is a complete no-no with my condition according to all papers received and Drs orders). I tell him and he just shrugs like "what do you want from me?" - what I expect sir is expertise and service. When I ask is there a coated Tylenol instead - he bold face lies and says no. Take what you have. Jerk of the highest order who is ok with telling patients to take something that will do more harm than good. He spent less than 30 seconds with me and just turned around and left. Rude. Short tempered. Arrogant. Dangerous! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Is there anyone who actually prefers Rite Aid to other pharmacies? This might be more of the company versus our local Rite Aid, but I have never once had a pleasant experience. Every single time I have my prescription filled here, there is an issue. Every. Single. Time. I have tried calling, I have tried refilling online, I have tried filling in the store... Every single freaking time I end up having to come back or wait for over an hour. Scheduled an appointment to get covid tested. It was annoying that I couldn't schedule more than one at the same time (I had to schedule one for my son at 4 and one for me at 4:30) which seemed inefficient, until I realized how long the process would take. There are two drive through lines but no sign on either, so I naturally got in the shorter line. After waiting for 10 minutes just to talk to someone, I learned I was in the wrong "covid testing" line, so I had to drive all the way around and get in the back of the other line. If there is more than one line, and one line is specific to a certain service, shouldn't it be labeled? I also saw another review of someone complaining there aren't separate cashiers for inside vs. drive thru and I completely agree. Every time I've gone here, there have been multiple people in the inside and drive thru lines, at different times of the day. They could definitely use one for each! Today was a reminder of why I drive out to Snohomish to get my prescriptions filled at Bartell. This Rite Aid is within walking distance of my house, but the drive to Bartells in Snohomish is worth it! read more

I have been using this pharmacy for years. The last experience was horrible. I called was placed on hold for 20mins so I called back thinking they forgot me. Was placed on another 20min hold. Spoke with a lady who said my 3 prescriptions will be done tomorrow. I waited 20mins in the drive thru only to be told only 1 rx was ready and to come back in 1hr. I came back then went inside to stand in line for 20mins. Finally got my prescriptions. I really enjoy the staff and coming here but I heard 3 other people in line said the same happened to them. this pharmacy should close seeing as how they're closed on weekends (who ever heard of a pharmacy closing on weekends) and Aileen is very rude and the slowest person ever. after waiting in the drive up line for 10 minutes I get to the window and I'm told they just closed for lunch. she should have taken care of those of us already in line and then closed window but to do that to people already waiting is very rude. terrible customer service from Aileen. This place is so slow. Rx called in at 1:00pm and at 4:00pm the next day they STILL hadnt filled it. They claimed however that they do their filling of prescriptions as they are received! Another incident they gave me the wrong prescription amd it was a CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE!. THE STAFF IS NICE AND I BELIEVE THEY ARE UNDERSTAFFED WHICH IS NOT THEIR FAULT. We love having Rite Aid in Monroe. Their service has always been very good. We can stop, shop and make our purchases so easily and my girls love shopping there for quick needs, gift cards, holiday treats, and girly girl make-up or hair care products. Cashiers are always friendly and helpful when you need help finding specific items. We especially like how consistently clean and organized the store is. I am giving five stars because of the exceptional service we received at the pharmacy when we needed their help on a complicated prescription transfer and change in dose. They went above and beyond and followed through as promised. Thank you!! read more

Absolutely the worst pharmacy I've ever used. Everything is difficult with these folks, they don't value the time of their customers, I've had to go back as many as three times to pick up a simple prescription because they can't be bothered to call when there's an issue. The VA hospital pharmacy is better, and that's saying a lot. read more

Staff state that they have been advised by corporate not to enforce Washington state face covering mandate due to fear of offending customers despite signs outside store stating that masks are required. Pointed out coughing customer with no face mask to store manager. I would hope that rite aid would prioritize the health and safety of customers over the fear of offending people who refuse to follow the state mandate. We will not return to this store. read more

Contrary the other limited reviews, I've had great service from their pharmacy! Although I'm frequently filling Rx for my husband, I'm treated with nothing but respect when calling/dropping in. I can't say I've had that same respect by others here in Monroe, but maybe it takes awhile. I'd recommend this Rite Aid to everyone! read more

Horrible. Worst pharmacy we've ever been to. After my husband sat there for over an hour waiting they decided to finally inform him they lost his insurance card and would like to charge him 1/2 of the full cost and then later reimburse him when they "find his insurance card". Worst photo center ever. Last year I tried to print some pictures for Christmas (In Nov) there site said my pictures would be done in 1-3 hours go down there and they hadn't revived them. Tried 3 days in a row after that each time it said 1-3 hours. Rite aid received nothing. Then I get a phone call on the 4th day that my pictures printed out 50 times!!!!! This year they did not receive my pictures after the web site said they would be done in 1-3 hours.... They told me there web site was down. Go figure seems to always be done. Didn't bother trying again since the web site did not say it was down... Just paid more to go to Fred Myers and avoid the stress. read more

Great customer service and clean store. The sales clerk ran out to my car when I forgot my receipt. She wanted to make sure I had it in case I got the wrong size shoe inserts and needed to make an exchange. I smiled and told her its kind gestures like this one that made me choose to move to Monroe, WA. The MONROE RITE-AID has the WORST Management and cashiers, terrible! The last several times I have been in, they talk smack, always make me feel like I don't belong there, and talking behind me and in front of me, even commenting on my purchased items with each other as if to embarrass me. Well, I have been a LOYAL rite-aid customer for many years! I have never felt so uncomfortable in a store where they make you feel so unwelcome as a customer!!! I recently moved out to the Monroe area, and I miss the lake stevens store where I can look around, shop freely there and get true help, and care when I need it. You can plan on picking up a prescription in the drive thru....and it taking at least 20 mins! It's so wrong! The pharmacy is awful and the staff is unknowledgeable and dangerous. They have tried to give me the wrong prescription twice now, insisting I take it. Luckily I know better and did not. I fear they could harm someone with their ignorance and neglect. I don't recommend getting medication filled here. read more

This pharmacy is the worst for filling prescriptions in a timely matter!! When I have called in a script that does not have a refill. They typically don't even call my Dr. for two day's leaving me to go without my meds for 1-2 days. This is totally unacceptable in my book. read more

I first became a customer a year ago. It was awful. One of the clerks in pharmacy rolled her eyes at me when I was trying to explain why I was there to pick up prescriptions that they had told me they had received only to say they didn't once I traveled from Gold bar to Monroe to pick them up. Later that evening they called and apologized and admitted the mistake. Everything has been great until the other day. I don't know if it is the new employees or if it is the new flux of Haggens clients, but they lied to me again. Told me my doctor did not send in my refill scripts after I said it was electronically and by fax. The gal looked at it electronically but not at faxes. So I told her that this has happened before who can I talk to so I can make sure it wasn't there before I bother my Doctor needlessly. She sends me down the counter. Another woman says they are not here. I then point to the fax machine full of faxes. She goes through them and near the bottom finds my prescriptions. No apology or anything. The waiting area is full I haven't a place to sit and I have 30 more minutes to wait for my meds that I need for my chronic pain condition. So do I give them a second chance? Not this time, I've gone In with my niece at the Fred Meyers Pharmacy and never see the slip ups and laziness I see at Riteaid. I was in a lot of pain my last visit when I was finished. read more

To each Rite Aid their own, and so this location (I have tried a few) comes in middling, which is actually unfortunate. Now, I am speaking of the pharmacy, as the rest of the store is comparative equally to all others, but dealing w prescription medication -this is extremely important and timely matter. Each instance on the phone especially, I had to lead the answering pharmacist to what, where, how, and when; obvious and necessary questions to the state of my medications. If not prodded, I'd be without medication now. It is a higher calling than many services, and if the personnel are not up to it, they should choose another job. read more
