The next day, I received a message that my prescription was ready. It was after I showed up that I learned, unfortunately, the price had gone up from 70-something to 111, out of pocket cost for me. I would have expected to be notified of this before committing to it or even making the long drive. I didn't appreciate the ambush. I spoke to the pharmacist who was kind and apologetic, who explained that they weren't able to procure the one they quoted me due to market availability issues. To me, however, the disconnect was that I was not informed and given a choice ahead of time. I felt boxed in and didn't want to create a bigger morass so I went ahead and reluctantly purchased it. I still don't know who the culprit was, which is why I feel compelled to follow up with this review. The pharmacist agreed that it was a learning opportunity. I would have liked the person who did it to personally 'fess up for her unilateral decision-making. Also, while I was in there, and luckily sitting far away, a couple came in and the woman was hacking her lungs out. The woman then left while the man conducted his business. It's common knowledge that immune compromised and ill and healing people are forced to conduct their business at pharmacies, and the protocol should be (posted) that coughing/contagious people stay out unless absolutely necessary and then WEAR A MASK. That is common sense and should be proactive policy for any pharmacy or medically-related facility to protect their vulnerable customers. I mean, COVID should have taught us all something, after all! I highly urge all pharmacies to post a reminder for entitled or ignorant people up so they don't rudely inflict their condition upon others needlessly. And no, I don't expect perfection. I'm not perfect either. But accountability and proactivity go a long way!

They're very polite and always professional to me. They fill medications I can't get mailed to me or that I want to pickup right away. I am very thankful to have them nearby my home. They are helping to get my health back on track. The only thing I can say that would improve is the removal of the cardboard endcaps with various non-pharmacy related stuff which are acting as crowd chokepoints. The store usually has the same trouble, but people are always doing their level best to help. Deeply appreciative to have you in the neighborhood, thanks for doing what you do.

Told us to come back in 15 minutes we show back up & that very two pharmacist & tech that told him to come back & it would be ready no problem looked us in our face and said we never told u you can fill it! "You probably took all your meds of 90 day supply in 30 of your heart medicine" "You're crazy! We don't want you hear! Go away! You are crazy! Loud & ghetto! We think you lost it!" I was baffled at the comments which are all recorded on my phone via audio as they were yelling at us gaslighting us, telling us we are "crazy in the head" the overweight brown haired white young woman then proceeded to tell me I'm fat & look at u!" When I tell u I was floored at this disrespectful mouth the both of them had all because they have a old none accurate medication on file they claim I took to much of!!!??? My daughter has several different prescriptions on file that are all active i recently moved back in the area this week, I use a few other Safeway pharmacy locations due to hardship & transportation issues! My son & I were so confused so we're a few witnesses who were watching while hearing them berate us for 10 minutes straight on camera!!!!!!!! They finally admitted they could fill it however said I have no refills, we show proof of the refills then they screamed at my son and I saying "fine then pay cash then!" I said huh?! I don't understand why we are being treated like this over a heart medicine! They then threatened to call the store manager we stepped out while waiting for the prescription that they said would be done a hour before no problem! My son comes back in to grab it, a large security guard & Safeways store manager confront my son & say "you guys are not allowed back here for treating our staff badly yelling at them! My son said "excuse me it was actually the other way around, they screamed my mom & I called us names, said we are crazy! Screaming my mom's information all through the back of store causing a seen breaking HIPPA law" the store manager looks and says "is that a threat? You're gonna tell on me" directly intimidating my minor son all while not backing the customer at all! The tech with the terrible nasty mouth refuses to give me her name & the pharmacist yelled behind her I'm not giving you my name either!! Then I was told by the tech "I will call the cops & u will not like that! Don't want to be like recent people in the news" I am a person of color, specifically a black woman! Her saying that and a customer hearing that really made me sick! We all know what she's referring to! It has been national news! This was terrible! I am filling a lawsuit against her & the store corporation, the direct store manager, the pharmacy, pharmacist, & the two techs! You as a store manager didn't even listen to the customer! That's ok I have it on video & so do you! Let's play hardball! That was terrible! The pharmacist who was there has a problem with customer interaction via the reviews about her say it all! Costco prescribed medications are generally cheaper than the other pharmacies I have been. And even if you don't have insurance, you can ask if they can apply the Costco discount for you. The staffs are also willing to help you to find alternate generic brands to save you money. The only downside is that sometimes the line could get long as it gets crowded at Costco at times, but that's normal as Costco is such a popular retail grocery store.

I get several meds here- couple for my blood pressure and one called suboxone, which is for opioid addiction (it's been a staple medication that has kept me stable, sober, and a contributing member of society since 2008). I have had bad experiences from other pharmacies in the past regarding this medication due to the stigma associated with it. Like, just plain rudeness and inappropriate comments from the staff. I haven't had that here and I am glad to have this place as my pharmacy! So, yeah, thanks. Got there at 7:30pm (30 minutes before the 8:00pm close on Friday 4/22). Waited behind one person that already had been waiting at the counter impatiently (must have been there a while already). While I was there, it took them over 30 minutes get to her (we were their only two customers) , so I ultimately reach the counter 2 minutes after the 8:00 closing time. Without saying a word, the assistant walked to the other side of the counter and started wiping down the CC machine. After I stood at the counter for a while waiting, the assistant looked up at me and said curtly "you know we are closed". No, I didn't... I could see the difference. Then I started to laugh to myself about how bad these same two have become at this location. This was all too familiar....yup.....I saw it on one of Carol Burnett's skits (and I think Candid Camera). Ultimately, I didn't leave the counter and the Pharmacist had to finally come over to get rid of me. I was checked out in under 60 seconds, thank you. A regular Pharmacy could have found 60 seconds someplace in the 30+ minutes of doing what appeared to be nothing (and with no other customers around) ....but like I said....I've been coming here a long time so nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Two Pharmacy employees, two total customers, no phone or computer activity with a half hour of time seeming to be doing not much, not exactly overload conditions. Will say, the memory and the later laughing about it all, almost made it worthwhile. If it wasn't for the convenient proximity and GoodRX prices, it wouldn't be worth the laughs. Can't wait for the next episode there.

No matter how stressful or busy it gets in the pharmacy, he always has a smile on his face and is very pleasant. He makes sure everything has been taken care of before the customer leaves and always tells them to have a great day or some similar goodbye. He really deserves a raise because I will continue to get my prescriptions there because of him. Great customer service is very hard to find anymore. The front desk explained the insurance allowance and gave us a quote, but once a frame was chosen, multiple extra fees were suddenly added. The final price was nowhere near the allowance we were originally told. None of these additional costs were explained upfront, and the information given by the front desk was misleading. On top of that, my partner had a scheduled contact lens appointment, which was canceled only one hour before because the clinic suddenly claimed "training" was required--despite him already being a contact lens wearer. This requirement was never mentioned when the appointment was scheduled. Between the hidden fees, last-minute cancellation, and lack of clear communication, this experience was extremely frustrating and a total waste of time. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone expecting transparency or professionalism.
