I am so disappointed in my neighborhood Bartells. This is the closest drive-thru pharmacy to my…read morehouse. With a family of five, that means they have to totally screw up over and over to lose my business. And that is exactly what they do. The bulk of my complaints are due to the actual pharmacy. They have got to be the slowest pharmacy in Snohomish County at filling medications. I've learned over the past few years that if my urgent care phones in my prescription, you know, an Rx I need quickly...hence the descriptive name URGENT ...that I might as well treat myself to a lunch out and some shopping because it'll be at least 4 hours before they even look at the Rx. And four hours later when I do roll through the drive-thru, I will wait an average of 20 min as they hurriedly try to process my order that they haven't touched for the past 4 hours. In addition to being inefficient, their staff is lacking professionalism. On one occasion, I decided to go inside to fill my prescription hoping for a better experience. While standing in line I heard two female employees gossiping about another female employee. They made no attempt to keep their voices down as the store was bustling with customers. When I made it up to the counter, the young guy tried to make small talk with the older gentleman ahead of me. His opening line was "Have you heard about the plastic bag ban?". Not reading the non-verbal cues the customer was giving, he continued "Yeah, I'm so glad. Plastic bags are nasty." Again the customer was silent. The current proposal is quite controversial right now and is probably not the best way to initiate small talk. Stick to just asking the customer how they're doing and leave your politics out of it. The store itself is bright and well lit. I can easily find what I need on their shelves and the staff working the check out lines are always friendly and polite. I was especially excited when I saw that they were carrying my favorite face serum "Hey Honey Good Morning Serum". I had previously only been able to purchase online, so having it stocked at my local pharmacy was a happy surprise. However, when I went in a few weeks later to purchase again, I had to ask where it went. It was no longer on the end cap I had found it on in a previous shopping trip. The store clerk took me over to a locked cabinet where my beloved face serum was stored with all the cigarettes. Ewww. I understand they felt the need to put the product in locked cabinet presumably due to theft risk, but to store fancy skin care products with nasty cancer sticks, is just dumb. So like many other Yelpers, I am taking my business elsewhere.

So, I stopped in at Fred Meyers in Snohomish yesterday. Here's my review…read more.. I was INUNDATED with...wait for it...nice and helpful employees. Yep. Okay, I admit, this is not exactly breaking news for those of us who shop here on a regular basis but that doesn't mean it doesn't need to be noticed. For example, let's talk about Kathy at the seafood and meat counter. There was this lovely customer in one of the little motorized shopping carts who needed assistance and Kathy was incredibly kind and helpful. I know, I know, that's her job, but she did it with a smile and a lot of patience. How cool is that? She also made sure to acknowledge me, and other customers as they approached, to make sure we knew she saw us. Like they say, it is the littlest things that are so appreciated. My checker, May, was a sweetheart; helpful, friendly and super-efficient. We got through almost the entire order, and I realized I had forgotten my ID in my truck (apparently 60-ish is the new 21 Hahahaha but having owned a C-Store I have no problem with following a protocol that can be quite expensive if not followed). She could not have been more understanding, pausing my order as I dashed outside to fetch it. No rolling of eyes, no judgement, just a "customer-first/no problem" attitude. And, as I was heading out with my wildly full cart, I couldn't help but notice this gal (I found out her name was "Bella" from Elly, another delightful employee at customer service) who was happily dashing between checkout stands helping bag groceries wherever she was needed. It goes without saying (but it shouldn't) that their produce is fantastic. Their fresh flowers are gorgeous. The Copper River salmon I bought from Kathy was incredible...I could go on and on. Oh, and the lavender plants they had out front for $8.99 a piece? WOW! YAY! I know I can forget how much work it takes to make a big store like Fred Meyers run well. I also believe it is proof positive of great management within that store when it does. Employees who trust in their bosses work harder. It's just human nature. We are blessed to have this particular store in our town. Go there, you will agree.

Be Aware of Fraud here…read more I have not had an issue with this pharmacy until today. I went to pick up a prescription that my doctor put into this specific location. I had gone earlier in the week to retrieve said prescription but was told it wasn't in the system. I received text messages throughout the week stating my prescription was ready for pick up so I tried a second time today. I was told that it was already picked up but they couldn't verify who it was because they are not having anyone sign "because of COVID". The pharmacist told me there was nothing she could do and she'd need another prescription from my doctor to give me the medication. For context, my prescription is for codeine due to a severe back injury and is a controlled substance. I was appalled at the lack of accountability at this location and am greatly concerned of how they do business here. I have never had someone pick up my prescription and told to return with a new prescription because there was accountability at other locations I've gone to. I do not trust this pharmacy and have requested my doctor send my prescription elsewhere.

You can tell the pharmacist and assistants from Bartell had to come here. Terrible customer…read moreservice! They hang up on you. You get texts that your prescription "should be ready by" date and there is nothing ready. I am an insulin dependent diabetic and placed my insulin order over a week ago, 8 days later nothing.
