Really long wait for pharmacy compared to other pharmacies. Last time using this pharmacy.

Terrible customer service! Always a long line and short staffed! I called to update my family insurance today and was put on hold for more than 30 minutes! When finally was able to talk to someone the lady only updated mine and did not do it for my children and husband saying they are busy and I need to call again for them!!!!! It took only one minute for them but I was on hold for a long time! That just doesn't make sense! read more

There is always a very long line for the pharmacy no matter what time you go. Then, there are employees in the pharmacy just standing around doing nothing other than chatting with one another. Only one person actually seems to interface with patients. Plus they rarely have needed medications in stock--even those that are on auto refill. Any time you call, you are on hold for at least 20 minutes. read more

Find somewhere else! Been here 3 times and all 3 times were a disaster. Their system crashes constantly and if they can't weigh the pills they won't count them and give them to you. It's no wonder these places go under all the time. If you are going to be a pharmacy then you need to get much better at it!!! read more

This review is for the Pharmacy, which is seriously THE WORST. These days, I really like to give service workers the benefit of the doubt - low wages, no benefits, long shifts, understaffed, constant harassment from the public. I know, I was a pharmacy tech. But seriously the service is so slow (always at least a 20 min line to even speak to someone) and staff is rude. And often the pharmacy is crowded with staff! This staff doesn't even try to show any patient care. I had just left the ER and needed my prescription ASAP. I was in a lot of pain. I checked my app and it said my prescription was "in process." Great! I waited in line for 25 mins to even get to the counter only to be told that they def wouldn't even be attempting to fill it that day. I'd have to come in at noon the next day. Prescription wasn't ready at noon. Had to wait 2 more hours. In a previous visit, they flat out told me they wouldn't fill my prescription bc the doctor wasn't in Irvine. They said they were too busy to fill prescriptions from doctors or patients outside Irvine. WHAT?!? Mind you, I live in Irvine, a block away, had been filling Rx at this location every month for 3+ years, and my doctor is licensed in California! WTF Save yourself. Find a different pharmacy. read more

Regardless of the time of day, there is always a long line at this Walgreens! The biggest contributing factor is that no matter how much staff is working, they only seem to have one register open at a time... Maximizing the wait time for the people on line. If you are in a rush, do not come here. read more

Don't know her name but the older hispanic woman working as a cashier is so sweet and makes my experience at Walgreens 10x better :) i will say there is another older woman who stocks product always stares at me like i'm gonna steal something, i've been going to this walgreens for more than 2 years and i've never created any disturbance so i don't know why she seems so bothered by me read more

I have been very happy with the service at the pharmacy. They ran out of one medication reduce I needed. However, they followed by finding another pharmacy which had this, transferred the prescription and informed me. That was a great experience especially when you are dealing with being sickness on one side. read more

Never have I been to a walgreens so fucking bad. Went to urgent care in the evening for sinusitis and was prescribed meds that were ordered that same night. The following day I come in around 4 pm, waited 20 minutes in line to be told, "Your prescription still isn't ready you can have a seat and wait 20-30 minutes and it should be ready by then." I was actually shocked and asked "How is it not ready? It was sent in yesterday evening" because how is it logical that when I need to pick up the prescription the ready time is conveniently estimated to be only 30 minutes right?? So she responds with "Well let me go check in the back, have a seat" and goes to the back, returnining with some papers and proceeds to tell me "What they prescribed you was over the counter-medicine that you could go pick in aisle right down there, it's called Aleve, or you could purchase it from right here if you'd like." I said absolutely not and walked away. I returned to the Urgent Care pretty frustrated because I was under the impression they were who prescribed me something that I could've already been taking at home, but they told me they didn't prescribe me Aleve and that I needed to go to a different pharmacy to pick up the antibiotics and nasal spray to clear my infection because the pharmacist lied to me to get me out the door! This place really does not gaf about the wellbeing of their customers, save your time and go elsewhere. read more

I live in Irvine and I had a very bad experience with stores of Walgreens. I called the store near my home. (Zip code : 92618, Alton Pkwy) I confirmed that they are doing passport photographs. When I went there I was standing at the counter for 10 min. Nobody talked to me. Finally I asked how much time it would take for them to address my needs. That's when they told me that they do not do passport photographs. I told them that I had confirmed on phone, but they wont budge. Then I called a store on Irvine Center drive (5 miles from my home) and they said I can come by till 8.30 pm for passport photographs. When I landed there at 8:15 pm, an employee called Taylor told me that they cannot accomodate me. Passport photos stop at 8 pm. I told them that I confirmed over phone. But they wont budge. Finally I came back home. I lost time running from store to store after confirmations and missed my passport appointment the next day. Walgreens website says they do photographs till 10 pm. Phone call says till 8.30 pm. In reality they dont talk to me even at 8:15 pm or they dont tell on the phone if they stopped doing photographs. This has been a very disappointing experience. I wish I never have to go to Walgreen store again. I work in school management office and I recommend lot of chocolates for my school district from walgreens. I am going to find another store for chocolates and we will let go of Walgreeen's completely. The employees seem totally ignorant of any kind of hospitality. This lady "Taylor" at Walgreens on Irvine Center Drive, was super rude and questioned my judgement about going to the store at 8:15 pm. What gives her the right to be so rude ? Dont they have any training to your employees as to how to talk to customers ? Very bad day. read more

I'm not a big fan of the pharmacy that they have at this location only because the line takes forever for them to get you the things that you need. Plus the people that were working in the back did not seem like they were overly excited about assisting me and my family when we came in to get the stuff that we wanted to purchase this location is in a really good spot when it comes to tons of stores being around it so it's easy for you to get a lot of other stuff that you may need also read more

Selected store 6316 IRVINE BLVD, IRVINE, CA I don't know what is the problem. I choose to get my medications delivered my, one of them from the app and the other one when I received the message to tell me it's ready for pick up. I chose 1 to 2 business day and everything was ok then from no where it's changed to be ready for pick up. Called the pharmacy and the customer service the number you provided in the app and they transfered me to different people it took me more than hour and no one could help me and the only answer was that the medications are ready for pick up. The technicians who answered the phone from home do not do anything, you are wasting your money by paying them. thank read more

I'm not sure how to rate this visit. Mostly it is the couple in front of me who are at the register. The guy really liked to talk. The cashier was courteous by responding but not extending the conversation. There were some issues with the price because it was not automatic. The guy had to say something for it to be applied. And then more bantering. By this point there are 7-8 people in line. So no fault of the cashier. I think she did a good job. I guess I knocked out a star because I think the store should recognize another temp cashier was needed. I was second in line the entire time and still not serviced. Probably 12 people by the time I got to the cahier. I foresee having to return several times in the future so hopefully it'll average out this visit's rate. read more

Always long lines at this location and only one technician works and one pharmacist that is on the phone! And both are covering the drive-through, and the customers in the store! If your coming here expect to wait over 45 min in line! So if you are sick don't come here!! Also they had called and asked to call them back and it toke them 23 minutes to pick up the phone!! Line when I was leaving was almost worst! Also the lady next to me was sick and coughing! Thankfully she was wearing a mask! Walgreen, you really need to hire more people read more

I can't believe anyone goes to this Walgreens location. The service is beyond terrible. A few times I've gone here because it's closest to my home, but each time I've walked out very frustrated and finally have vowed to drive as far as needed to go anywhere but this location. read more

If I could give a negative star I would. This store is horrendous!!!!! Rude, inefficient, the workers don't know what they are doing- bunch of young girls who seem to all be friends or related. They can't even accomplish the simplest tasks like PRINTING A RECEIPT! I witnessed them passing the phone to one another when talking to a customer. What the heck! The pharmacy is even worse. They don't answer their phones- even when a prescriber is calling. Totally frustrating when you have a sick child. CVS doesn't even want to be bothered with this location. They are THAT bad. And getting worse. I'll never go there again even though I live close by. Transferring all prescriptions and photo orders to anywhere but this location!!! read more

Store had what I needed - razor. So that's all I needed. There was only 1 register open with 3 people in line. Customer service was slow which is the reason for the 2 star. Employees didn't seem happy or engaged and seemed they were forced to be there. I usually go for prescription. The pharmacy is good. Lots of activity and customers at the pharmacy read more

This pharmacy is horrible! Not only have I placed an order at 8am and they tell me it will be ready in a couple of hours, 9 hours later, I wait in line for over an hour just to find out my meds aren't ready! They take lunch breaks from 1:30-2 on the weekends but actually don't open back up until 2:20! I understand being short staffed but they move like molasses! Also, The pharmacy techs do not know their medications. They don't know how to pronounce them, they don't know what they're for, they don't know the generic and the brand.I'm in healthcare and I'm just shocked at how horrible this pharmacy is! Hey Walgreens, fully staff your pharmacies! The only reason I still get my meds from here is because there's no other place around!! But I'm about to go to Costco to get my meds. read more

Under staffed or under-urgent. 11 am appointment for a vaccine, took until 11:50 to be seen, over really quick but threw off the day. No signage or instructions for where to wait or check in, so had to wait in pharmacy line. read more

Worst pharmacy. I worked at a pharmacy for years, so I know their service is just terrible. The pharmacists working here don't want to do their job and when they do, they do it poorly. Please consider getting new employees for this pharmacy.. read more

World's slowest pharmacy. Average 20 min wait time in line, and if another 2-5 hours wait for them to dispense. If you call ahead of time, wait 15 minutes on the phone and you might be lucky enough to get your medicine in 24 hours. read more

Three words I can say for this pharmacy. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Yes, I repeated the same word three time. And my response is incongruent with other reviews you have seen regarding this place. I consistency in rules regarding pick up. Unpleasant personal who does not want to answer any questions. Way too long lines because of not enough staff. The staff behave as if they are forced to work there. The list will not end. The irony is that it seems like the management does not give a damn about the reviews and has no plan of improving because people keeps coming here despite the bad reviews. read more

Have you ever thought to yourself "I'm not a big fan of being alive"? Well, then the Walgreens Pharmacy off Sand Canyon is perfect for you. Have your prescriptions delayed for weeks and when you tell them "I need my insulin now" the best they can do is shrug their shoulders. If you want the ineptitude of a Trump administration mixed with your medication and to be unalived faster than a visit from Dr. Kevorkian, then look no further. This highly incapable staff is excellent at failing to attain the medication you need, understand prescriptions, or take any initiative whatsoever. read more

absolute worst walgreens and store on the planet. understaffed, management doesn't manage, everything takes forever and feels like the storage, the pharmacy just puts you on hold instead of helping you, the app mentions prescription delivery which you have to pay for then they don't follow through. it's ridiculous. read more

Worst pharmacy in the history of earth. This store cannot communicate at all. I constantly receive emails, texts, and phone calls that my prescriptions are ready but when I go to pick them up they have no clue who I am. It's a 50% chance they tell you to come back the next day because they're not ready and then the next day it's another 50% chance they tell you to come back again. I'm not pharmacist assistant but it seems easier then working at McDonald's. Literally walk to the shelf, pick it up, and slide it under the window. But no, no one that works at this store can figure out how to do this simple task. I think everyone at this pharmacy should consider a different career because they fit very poorly into the one they chose. read more

Awful operation. The lady keeps telling customers they are busy, all pharmacies are busy but keep delaying and missing prescriptions is a serious issue at this location. They need to be audited and just a matter of time, lawsuit is on the way. read more

It's a shame that this pharmacy is allowed to stay in business. Please either replace the manager or go bankrupt to allow capable people to run it. My elderly mother required antibiotics for each of her 3 oral surgeries. The doctor sent over the prescription electronically hoping that by the time we arrive home it's ready. The first time, the staff failed to find the original prescription, fail to find the resend, the doctor called and was placed on hold indefinitely. In between all that the girl handling the issue left for the day without transitioning me to another person. When I finally talk to the pharmacist to get her to pick up the phone, she told me the prescription had always been in the system and should have been filled. It took 2 hours to pickup a rush order of generic antibiotics. The 2nd time, the doctor gave me a hand written prescription in case the electronic order could not be found again. This time the staff submitted a rush order and asked me to wait by the window. After waiting for an hour within direct view of the pharmacy and not be called, I inquired. I was told there's no indication my order was being processed. After a while they apologized citing miscommunication within their team. They then filled the antibiotics in one minute. The 3rd time, both doctor and patient refused to work with this pharmacy, where picking up basic medication takes longer than medical surgery. It's sad because this pharmacy is within walking distance from me. Our community deserves a service provider that is up to par. read more

Lines are way too long. Don't bother coming here at any time of the day. Walgreens badly needs to get it together.

No matter how many times I call HDQ this place never changes. Sometimes they don't open the drive-thru on time, they text you that your prescription is ready but it isn't ready when I get there, understaffed, and they don't process prescriptions in a timely manner. On July 3rd, my dr. called in a prescription at 3:30. It showed as processing. I looked to see if they were open on July 3rd. It was vague saying they might be open. They weren't open and my raging infection got worse. read more

WORST PHARMACY LOCATION I'VE EVERY HAD TO DEAL WITH! The few times I've had to check or transfer to this location have been a nightmare. The pharmacists are extremely rude and insanely incompetent with the phone system. I've sat on hold for 20min, next in line to talk to someone, and they kept incorrectly transferring me then HUNG UP before ever answering, when I have talked to people they've been rude for no reason and have hung up on me when they don't want to answer simple questions after I had to sit on hold for more than 30min, and have actually told me to go in at a time WHEN THEY WERE CLOSED!!! Even calling the store manager to have them connect me directly to the pharmacy didn't go anywhere, the connection just rang continuously then hung up. I HATE THIS LOCATION!!! Extremely frustrating EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! DO NOT GO HERE!! read more

WORST PHARMACY AND PHARMACIST EVER. I've had THREE diff docs now tell me they've never had the issues that the pharmacists at this Walgreens creates. Literally will have pharmacy tell me NO for prescriptions that are valid and my doctors have written. NEGATIVE STARS, if I could. AVOID THIS PLACE, IF you have other choices. Too many chances given and EVERY TIME there is an issue. I've called... been on hold for 45+ min, they picked up 3x's to return me back on hold, the third time they just hung up the line. It's unbelievable how this location been functioning with such long wait every single time I visit the pharmacy. Or almost every time I call. I just wasted 2 hours on hold and was hanged up on when it was my turn. Extremely frustrating to have to wait so long. Not sure why they don't hire other staff. The staff a lot of times don't even know how to operate their own system. Always long wait on the phone or in person. Just know that it will be a long wait 90% of the times. read more

I don't understand what people's issues are with this pharmacy. Lived here for 3 years and have been using this pharmacy for 3 years. Not. One. Issue. Stay on top of your script dates/refills and don't expect help when a business is closed. If you have ever worked before, then you understand that difficult concept called "operating hours". There are also these things called policies and procedures. Inventory must be taken and with scripts at play, I imagine there are strict guidelines. Have an emergency? Then go to the ER. Allegedly, they write scripts there and will assist you. P.S.- I work in an ER. I've seen them do it. read more
