All of the employees are very polite, they always greet me, and are consistently helpful. I've been helped by Adonis, Ronald, and Deedee, and they are all incredibly kind and patient. This store does get busy at times, but it's honestly not a huge deal, especially since the self-checkout is very convenient. This location is also on the smaller side compared to other CVS stores I've been to. Mar '26: - Service really is slow here. More because of the clientele than the staff. Lotta ppl come through here with time-consuming questions, and only one employee serving everyone. If you're doing self-checkout, it's no problem. But doing photo pickups, expect a wait. . Wish CVS photo pickups were self-serve. Feb '26: -The CVS staff are not paying attention to the quality of their photo prints. One came out scratched and text overcropped. So easy to schedule, electronic records automatically provided, check in is easy and Miranda (the tech) couldn't have been more awesome. This is my local CVS so I'm in here at least once a week, picking up a prescription, toiletries, or snacks. The staff at the pharmacy are super friendly and keep the line moving efficiently, even when it gets pretty long. On this recent visit, I was getting my Covid booster and annual flu shot. It's easy to schedule on the app, even for multiple people. When you arrive, you check in on the app but there's also a vaccine check in counter. The staff at the counter directed us to wait at the minute clinic. We only waited about a minute before the pharmacy intern arrived to administer our vaccines. He was efficient and made the process as painless as possible. And we got free popcorn for getting our annual jab. Why don't all pharmacies do this?? As for the checkout, it gets a little hectic when there's a long line, especially when there's multiple people waiting for the self checkout. I wish there were a few more self checkouts, especially since sometimes one is out of service leaving just one functional checkout. read more

I was mistaken by the hours when I arrived at the pharmacy at 7:07 PM, just seven minutes after closing, after working overtime (as well) and rushing over because I urgently needed my medication. I made it a priority to get there as soon as I could, knowing how important it was. The store hours listed were 9 PM. Despite there being no line or other customers, I was turned away because the pharmacist said he was already working overtime for a whole 7 minutes. I understand time limits, but it was frustrating to be refused over such a small time difference, especially when the pickup process is usually quick. I had received a notification six hours earlier that my prescription was ready, meaning it had already been prepared. Not everyone has the ability to come as soon as the pharmacy opens, and I did my best to make it before closing. Overall, I was very disappointed with the customer service. I went to pickup a prescription at this CVS on Friday morning, 10:30ish. I needed to consult with the Pharmacist. When she came over so I could ask her my question, she seemed bothered and in a hurry. Her answers were short and hurried. I asked her how often to use the cream, she told me "the instructions are printed right here". She then walked off. I had a follow up question for her. She returned even more unhappy than before. She answered my question and off she went. I know she was busy but I am a paying customer that had a few questions about a cream I was using for the first time. On Sunday morning, while I was paying for a prescription at the pharmacy counter my wife was browsing, looking for something to buy with a 40% coupon we had. She was followed and harassed by a store employee and made to feel like she was doing something wrong. We have shopped at this store many times but will never go back. I didn't have too much issue when I was physically there...be it drive thru (which can be slow) or walk in. That said, I am quite annoyed by the fact that they used AI that took me good 15 minutes to leave a message to someone so he/she could call me back. I picked up a prescription that I never took thinking it was something else. It was not l an over the counter medication. I called them 5 minutes after when I realized the mistake. Their policy is 'once it leaves the pharmacy there is no return". So $15 went into waste along with my unused medication bottle. The problem is CVS in general, not specifically for this location. I will consider changing my go-to pharmacy. Since I'm paying for my prescription & insurance, I deserve better experience. read more

The workers here at this location specifically were extremely rude we tried to just be nice and not cater to their attitudes but make sure you're aware of how they treat customers here. The only reason I'm giving it to stars is because it has multiple soup options in case you are sick and want to get soup for a live one. That's why we had to go here. I don't know if CVS pharmacy is actually a franchise but it seems that every single CVS I go to honestly all the employees act this way. There were 2 prescriptions ready but I only needed 1. She took the one I didn't need back without hesitation or question. It was a pleasant surprise. Went to this CVS at Harvard/Main in Irvine to purchase Freestyle Libre 3 CGM that my doctor prescribed for me. My insurance would not cover this because I do not use insulin. The pharmacy has all the relevant information and I expected the cost to be a little above $100 for a pair of sensors but the quote I got from them was $200 for one unit. I told them the number must be wrong but that lady working at the computer couldn't care less. I told them the number was wrong and I couldn't afford it and went home. I went home, did some more research and found out that it would cost about $235 for a pair of sensors. CVS was off by 50%. Even at $235 for a pair, I still could not afford it. But the point is that CVS made blatant error and they didn't spend just one extra minute to correct the mistakes. I can't wait when AI and robotics take over and there will be no more lines and mistakes at CVS and other pharmacies. They (perhaps with the exception of pharmacists) are easily replaceable. For next year I am going to switch to Walgreen. Also, you get Stelo on line for $99 a pair. read more

I've been to CVS Locations all over the country and this one consistently delivers a terrible customer experience. Understaffed, impolite staff and incompetent staff. Today I visited for a few items, the cashier rang up everything before asking if I needed a bag, then bagged all but one of my items. After returning home to unbag, turning my car upside down to find the much needed pain medication, waiting on hold while they "watched the video" to confirm my claim that the cashier failed to bag my item and driving all the way back to the store, I'm finally taking medication for a headache that has now morphed into a migraine. I was looking for a particular blood pressure monitoring system and they had it in stock. My only concern was the lack of help in the store.

Almost robbed me of $24. I bought an at home QuickVue Covid test for a friend who wasn't feeling well. When we get home, we discovered the vials in the box did not have testing fluid in them, likely because they've been sitting on the shelf for months and were dried up. I went back to the store to either get another box, or get a refund. I learned that CVS has a policy of not refunding COVID tests, even if they're defective. Understandably, I was upset. Ryan, the shift supervisor, stepped into the picture and he wasn't okay with my demand for a refund. He made it sound like I was trying to rip him off. So I opened up another box, in the store, and showed him that other boxes were also dried up....he became quiet. Then they give me the CVS corporate 800 number, which is the new corporate way to say, "go blank yourself." And that's exactly what I did. I took the bait, called the toll-free 800 number, got transferred 4x times through the Philippines, South America, and back to the States. I met some really nice people in other countries, but no one had an answer, and no one could help. $24 loss..... until I spoke with Ricky Hernandez, the store manager. He provided an acceptable solution, and although I'm not happy with the process, I'm happy with the outcome. Even though some of these team members were not nice, it's not their fault. They're trying to make a living, and enforce corporate policy. I blame the the Company, but I also thank Ricky, the Store Manager, for fixing it. read more

I have been going to this location bec of proximity to my home, but I have decided to switch to another pharmacy. the prices of drugs are much higher at CVS, they do not check if there are cheaper/ discounted , like good ex or single care, saying their system is not set up to check for discounts. another big pharmacy told me they always check bec sometimes the insurance covers very little, eg; Rite aid filled the same prescription for me twice for half the price CVS charging, saving me $40 each time. the general merchandise in the store is more than 30% higher too, anything from batteries to wipes., everything is hugely overpriced. it is a matter of time before they will lose so many customers and wake up to a nightmare of store closures. as for me I am done with them, transferring all my medication to another pharmacy. read more

This was a convenient CVS Pharmacy next to a Ralph's Grocery store and situated in the middle of several hotels and business parks in Irvine. It's small compared to other CVS stores but the items needed were available and in stock. I needed Tylenol in a travel size pack and what worked in my favor was the day before, a 40% off coupon appeared in an email. As I stood in line, a employee called me over to use the self-check out and I wasn't sure my online coupon could be used through self-checkout. She explained that I didn't need the coupon since it was already in my account and as I processed my item, it appeared on the screen. If I could give this pharmacy a ZERO star rating, I would - I have used CVS for years only because of it's location. They are without a doubt unorganized as someone mentioned below. They also frequently don't have common medications on hand and I have been on the waiting list for a shot for over a year. Only because they are close to my home that I have overlooked their constant mistakes over the years. However, after recently going through surgery and waiting for pain meds, I find out that they just didn't tell me that they could not fill the pain medication / prescription they received. When I told my doctor that I seemed to have had a lot of pain, we figured out that this pharmacy didn't fill the prescription nor did they tell me that they didn't fill it. This particular CVS pharmacy on Harvard in Irvine is just completely inept. Most of the time, I end up without prescriptions, the wrong prescriptions, substitutions - you name it. Each time they are reminded it is "oh I am sorry". Several times I had to drive back over there to pick up the correct prescription. Find a different pharmacy - I don't think this staff could find it's rear end with both hands and a road map. read more
