On the road back from Ensenada, we stopped by here for a restroom break and to pick up some refreshments. Since it was very early morning, we were worried that this place might be closed, but thankfully it wasn't. The restrooms were well maintained. The snack and drink options weren't too shabby either. I opted for an espresso drink to carry me the rest of the way back to LA. There was one guy on staff, and he was pretty courteous, although there was a language barrier. The gas station itself is fairly large, and located across from the airport. Whenever I make the journey back form Baja, I'll be sure to stop here again. read more

This place is the worst. I went there to get gas (3x a day with my work trucks) I gave the clerk $30 to get gas, it wouldn't work. After 3 tries I went to another pump, the clerk said I already pumped $16. I hot the supervisor, she argued, swore up and down that I already paid. I called the police, chevron corporation, never hot helped. The clerk lied and produced a $16 receipt from a half hour earlier, used with a credit card, from a different. That person should be fired, she lied and produced a false receipt Corporate told me the manager would call me and resolve it, 3 weeks later, not a phone call. All my work vehicles get gas elsewhere. Well if you've got to return a rental car and you forget to fill up you can either accept the $7/gallon charge the rental car company is going to get you or you suck it up and pay the nearby station which hurts but not as much as the former solution. Stopped to get gas and it was tolerable. I got a pump fast and it worked just fine. Convenience store had an average selection of products and I bought a cell phone charging cable and some water and the cable was horribly expensive, something like $12 which seemed unreasonable but it was either that or find some place else and I just wanted to get on the road and go home. Pretty sure this is one of the best/worst gas stations around. Pro: It's next to the airport. Con: It's the only gas station near by, which means it is BUSY... and you know what, being BUSY isn't the only CON. The gas flows slowly here. YES. The pumps are re-dic-u-lus-ly slow. REALLY SLOW. I mean, you should expect the pumps to be quick at this location, since t's next to the airport, but it's the slowest pumps around. If you can avoid this gas station, do it, if you can't, be prepared to fight your way to the pump, as it's always 405 traffic, on the driveway to the pump stations. read more

I like that every time I need to put gas there's always pumps available. People put gas and go and it makes the line go quicker if there's a line. But there usually isn't a line. So you can get gas and be on your way out very fast. read more

I then ask the lady at the counter & she told me there wasn't anymore. I then asked her if they only order one cause it don't make sense how you guys are out. Man, fuck this place and the rude employees who work here. I put in $65 worth of gas into my rental before going to the airport and didn't have a problem until I went to throw away some garbage so I could clean the rental car up a bit. I threw away some receipts and had a styrofoam cooler I used during my visit. I took it out of my car and immediately I could see the three employees inside (who were doing absolutely nothing but standing around talking to each other) start to eyeball me. My plan was to break down the cooler into small pieces so it would just go into the garbage easily. As soon as I go up to the door one of the employees walk out and ask me what I'm doing with the cooler. I explained I needed to throw it away and planned to break it apart (once again, it's just styrofoam) and throw it in the garbage. He started giving me shit for it and I explained what I was going to do. What is the big deal anyway? They have like 10 garbage cans around the area? I ask, "so I don't get the problem, it's garbage and I'm throwing it away, it's not going to take up any room at all? Can I not throw it away?" And he just replies "well whatever, you already made that decision..." yeah? Well go to hell. He tells me to throw it away back by my pump I used to pump gas. So I did. The whole time they're watching from inside eyeballing me. So I condescendingly turn around and break the styrofoam lid in the air so they can see from inside how easily it breaks and do it again with the bottom piece. I threw it in the garbage can and it didn't even make a difference as far as space it took up. Yeah, this place is convenient since it's right outside the airport but do yourself a favor and get gas somewhere else. Apparently garbage is not allowed to be thrown in garbage cans here. I came in here for the sole purpose of buying two gift/gas cards in the amount of $50. The man behind the counter advised me to grab two gift cards near the register. He then advised me to swipe my card. I did so, he then proceeded to have me swipe my same card three more times with NO success in getting obtaining the gift cards. I found myself in Irvine last night for business. I was located just outside of John Wayne Airport and I needed gas for my work vehicle. I spotted a Chevron in the distance. I pulled into the lot and was pleasantly surprised to see that gas prices for 91 Octane were $3.99, work was paying but I was pleased to see that Chevron was not jacking up prices just outside of an airport. I will say that the Gas pumps are strangely placed/staged. The furthest gas pumps are at an angle that if you are attempting to line up your gas tank to the pump you actually block the exit from the Gas station to the street which I found quite odd. This gas station had an extra mile Food-Mart attached that was stocked with wine, beer and your normal junk foods and prepackaged items. This Food-Mart & Gas station is right next door to a large Hotel and during my time in the parking lot I watched numerous people walk from the Hotel into the Food-Mart so a majority of the items stocked inside are based on what a Hotel buyer may buy. I did see that this Food-Mart serves Seattle's Best Coffee. It is pretty normal in Southern California to have it almost impossible to pull into lots unless you happen to be lucky enough to be on the right side of the street, not this lot. You are able to turn left, turn right or make a U-Turn to be able to hit this spot without time restrictions. 3-Stars based on the placement of the Gas pumps, very strange. read more

This spot must make lots of money for the owner as there are lines waiting to get gas almost 24/7. Today, I fill up the fuel tank of gas from here $86 worth. They do have sales on soft drinks(Monsters in particular) for 2 for $4 which I like. +3 stars for that! They also serves Seattle's Best Coffee which was really fresh coffee in the mart. However, as a customer, I dislike this gas station for many reasons. Because its facing the airport and right off of the 405 freeway, the gas prices are by far the most expensive in the area. The lines are so long and the lot is so small that sometimes the lines go out into the street, potentially blocking traffic and aggravating drivers into starting a honking war. read more

This is probably the worst, most congested gas station I have ever been to. I only come here because it is close to my work and literally the ONLY gas station in the area. It is always crowded and you have to wait at least 10 minutes for a pump. One of the biggest issues is that there are no direction signs to tell you where to enter and exit, which means cars are driving up to the pumps in all directions and you can't tell who got there first. I have been here a few times now and every time I cross my fingers that no one hits or backs up into my car. There is literally no room to back up, or turn around. Also, there is no room on the sides of the pumps to pull away. I am sure people get in fender benders all the time here because of the bad lay out. I avoid this gas station and make it a point to never come here. There are almost no gas stations in the immediate area so it's always busy and everyone is always angry and mean here. I probably haven't been here in 5 years. I'd been driving a different car all week and when I had to take my car to an appointment this morning, I didn't realize how low the gas was. I didn't have time to stop before the appointment so I had to hurry here after with my fuel light on. As usual, long lines for every pump, everyone looks pissed, cars pointed in different directions so you can't tell who is waiting for what, some cars are pulled in between pumps with cars fueling on either side, so you can't even drive between them and out the other side. I was waiting and waiting behind one car with no driver for forever, I assume he was inside. I see a different pump that's further away open up and worry that by the time I get over to it, someone will be there already. I hurry over and of course, right as I get to it, some guy in a Porsche is there just pulling in off the street. I pull into the spot and there he is shaking his head at me, mouthing the word "a-hole". I try to signal that I have absolutely no gas, but again, more head shaking and "a-hole". I guess he assumes that the spot "belongs" to him because he's in a Porsche, never mind that he wasn't even close to pulling into the spot. 1 of many entitled pricks you might encounter in this area at any given time of day. There's nothing worse than a busy gas station that's set up without enough room to maneuver around. This place is set up well. The gas isn't super cheap, but it isn't supposed to be when its this close to the airport. A person might have a problem figuring out how to get to this place if they can't navigate. Slow pumps? I agree that CA gas prices suck but this review is based on the perspective of a hotel captive looking to escape the price of eating at an in-hotel restaurant. It looked like a two block hike from the Hilton across from SNA Airport on the map app but you only have to walk through the parking lot, past the Atrium hotel and there it is. If you're not looking for fancy, they stock everything a typical convenience store does except for hot food. But if you book a room with a microwave, you have a few options. I'm a Cup O Noodles junkie so I'm more than happy with 7-Eleven's and Wawa's in a pinch. They also have a modest selection of beer and wine for much more reasonable prices than $7 for a bottle of imported ale. The staff were very nice as well which lent a pleasant tone to my brief overnight for a morning meeting (which wasn't nearly as nice). read more

Dishonest business practice. All Chevron Gas stations I have used from Los Angeles County to Orange County clearly displays two range of gas prices: if you use cash or chevron card the gas rate is less than if you use other credit cards. THIS gas stations does not. There is only one price range for regular, plus , supreme. After I purchased the gas for a set amount of dollars I asked the the people behind the counter about the price rate for cash / chevron card vs other credit card . They brushed it off and a woman adamantly stated behind the counter that there is only one price range in this whole area. Obviously she was lying. Informational item :,the gas price was about 30 cents more per gallon on each of gas type regular, plus and supreme.This is extremely bad business practice and ruins Chevron's reputation. Chevron company needs to be apprised of the owner of this gas station. Basically gouging the public with deceptive practice Please avoid this gas station at all cost. read more

i think this may be the WORST gas station ever. and lucky me, it's the only one near my work, so if i'm going home and i'm about to run out of gas i have nowhere else to turn. it's right across from the airport and in between a bunch of business centers so traffic is heavy. once you're inside you can only turn right, if you need to go left you have to go through about 5 stoplights before you reach an intersection where you can make a u-turn. and i've never come in contact with so many mean people in one place. the employees are mean, the customers are mean, and everyone just feeds off of each others meanness to perpetuate this terribly mean atmosphere. the other day i came here to get gas and when i got to the cashier i realized that i'd forgotten to look at my pump number. so i came up and said i was sorry but i didn't know what pump number it was, but it was directly behind #4. they said, "it's not our job to look for your pump number. go look at it and tell us, it's really not that hard." and then both the cashiers exchanged a smug glance as if to say i was stupid. it annoyed me SO MUCH. i felt totally condescended! they wouldn't even turn their heads to look. i know they have the pump numbers memorized, since there are only 6 pumps at this gas station... you know, IT'S REALLY NOT THAT HARD! just a couple days later i went to get gas again. i was waiting forever for a pump to open up. finally, when the one right in front of me opens up and i go to back up so i can move into it, some guy just turns into the gas station and takes my spot! the guys were laughing because they got it before i did. then when i got a spot next to them they saw me and tried to apologize. i don't know why... because they realized i was a girl? who knows? and one of the guys had the nerve to shoot me flirty glances! ughhh. avoid this place at all costs, please. read more

After done paying a realized I forgot something, the worker was mopping the floor and the door had been locked, not to mention I had just walked out!!
