I was cycling on the Peter's Canyon River Trail from Back Bay heading to Portola on a 85 degree day last weekend, mile 30 and I was out of liquid--totally parched. This place is right off the trail. Popped in here because my friend from France Pierre said the best cycling recovery drink is Perrier! And it's also my favorite drink! And guess what? They have it here! I got the Perrier Lime. (Wished they still had the lemon one.) But here you have to pay the price for that level of recovery all the way from France on a hot day on the trail in Irvine: $2.63 Worth every penny! I powered it back to my car 8 more miles. They have ample polls to lock up your bike outside and you better do so! There were some suspicious people hanging outside smoking who I later saw pushing shopping carts from Ralphs on the trail. One guy was pushing a bicycle--don't let that be yours. Irvine today is not the Irvine of 10 years ago! Lock up! Anyway on the receipt it says "7-Eleven". But it does not say 7-Eleven on the front. It just says Food Mart. But as long as they have Cold Perrier they can call themselves anything--I don't care. Employees here were friendly and wished me well. It's also a Shell gas station--a brand I do not use. read more

To the staff working here: customers should never be touched under any circumstances. During my visit, I experienced an invasion of personal space that made me uncomfortable and felt unnecessary and intimidating. I made it clear after that I did not want to be touched, and that boundary should not need to be stated at all. I was simply trying to make my purchase and leave, not deal with behavior that crossed professional boundaries. Customer service should be respectful and focused on assisting shoppers, not creating discomfort. After reading other reviews mentioning rudeness, inappropriate behavior, and similar issues, it seems this may be a pattern. Management seriously needs to address staff conduct and training, because this type of behavior is unacceptable in any establishment. read more

I was a victim of fraud at this location . February 23, I was at the location to get gas and a few items . I gave the cashier Moni two forms of payment , some cash towards the transaction and the rest was to be paid on card. I was at the second register to the right when the incident happened. I attempted to use my Apple Pay and my cards were declining , this was weird because I had money in my account so then I decided to pull out my card and use a debit pin and it also declined. Moni mentioned to me that the particular system was having issues and that she needed to reset the system.. She reset the system and I use a different card and I got the food . Later on that day, I saw a dollar pending hold on my card. I contacted the manager and he told me I can come in this was February 25, by this time the full charge that was declined was actually posted to my account. Up on my arrival, the manager Muhamed was there, but quickly advised me that a refund will be sent back to my account and I had no need to worry that if indeed a refund didn't show up within 24 hours for me to come back. He also stated that other customers had the some issue but the credit refunded back to their accounts. Mind you, on this day he had upper management visiting at this location and I felt as if he was trying to brush me off, but I wanted to believe that he was being truthful so I returned back to the store two days later . Upon my return to the store to show him that the charge never left the account and there was no credit applied to my account. He provided me with the 800 number to call stating that he couldn't give me a refund that the customer service support would have to deal with it. I contacted this number that appears to be an outsourced number and have been unable to reach any form of Customer Service or anyone who would be able to actually assist with this matter . As a person that lives in the neighborhood and frequently visits this location, I wanted to make sure other customers are aware of my experience so that they don't also fall victims of fraud. I believe store manager Mohammed is well aware of the issues with the systems and uses it to take advantages of customers , he knows that dispute process with your bank takes a while, especially when you don't have a slip showing declined. Terrible service. The lady with the tattoos that works inside the 7-11 has such a bad attitude. I was walking around trying to find something and she kept asking if I was ready and I wasn't even in line yet. When I asked her why she was rushing me gave me attitude and told me it wasn't her fault I was having a bad day when I wasn't. She proceeded to follow me outside of the 7-11 and said something I didn't understand, when I turned and asked why she was following me and what she said she ignored me, crossed her arms and starred at me and watch me get into my car. This 4 star rating is mainly for their Car wash system. My car was extremely dirty with tons of dust and water marks and it came out looking brand new! I also liked that the car was used brushes to clean the car and not just water jets like a lot of other car Washes do. read more

Went there this morning just before 7am and the doors were locked but I can see people inside. I realized there was a sign that said "on break, be back in 10mins". I thought that's odd because why would you close the business during the busiest time of the morning?! I and a couple of people walked away shaking our heads in frustration because in the morning when you only have 5-10 mins to spare before starting work, you expect a business to be open and available during their "normal" business hours. I also noticed that there was a public notice for a change in ownership which this location is being sold to 7-11. This location is supposed to be open 24 hours a day, but they will frequently lock the door at random times and put a sign on the door that says "CLOSED, WILL RETURN AT -:--" As the time for them to return approaches, they change the sign to a later time. Hey if you going to come to this gas station, just come and get gas. Don't bother buying anything to eat. I keep on finding expired food and mold on the food. Yes gas station looks nice and clean like nothings wrong with it but beware of the food. Oh I told the gas attendant Rakesh that there was moldy bread for the hotdogs he just sat there and kept on looking at his phone. It's a standard gas station when it's all said and done. I have only been inside a handful of times and that's when the machines were acting up. With that said, I do remember inside being pretty clean and that's all I can speak to. Most of the time I am just there to pump and go, occasionally wash my windows. Which I will say, they do keep a good stock of towels and solution. Big plus! I stand there as the kid behind the counter is typing away on his phone. After about 45 seconds I say can I pay and he just looks up and says. What do you need?! I tell him I'd like to use the air pump and get $30 on 4. I ask him to turn the air pump on first. He says fine. Walk to my car and he never turns on the pump. This is one of the cheapest gas stations in Irvine close to the Jamboree/405 ramps. Plenty of pumps and next to an ok car wash. Warning: Do not come here during afternoon rush hour. No star if that was an option. I literally just filled my car with gas at pump 3 around 5:30am, 03/05/3019. I payed exectly $46.31 at the pump and did not want a receipt. I then started my car but it did not start. I was going to just walk across the street because my friend was across the street, but I decided to inform the person working in the gas station that my car wouldn't start and that I was going across the street. She asked if I needed a tow and I informed her no. I told her I was going across the street because my friend was across the street. She proceeded to tell me okay 10 minutes and if I could move my car. I repeated again that I was literally going across the street to my friend because my car won't start, so it can't move. She then changed it to 5 minutes and told me to that I had to hurry because more people were going to come for gas. I darted across the street and got my friends car and drove back. I watched as I pulled up, that the lady was watching my car. Of course she didn't know that it was me in my friends car and she just went back to sit down after I got out of the car. Daniel that works at this gas station is seriously an angel. My car ran out of gas not a 2 minute walk from the gas station. I walked in and he greeted me immediately and I asked him if I can buy a gallon container. He physically showed me where it was at in the store, not pointed. Showed me how to use the gas container, without me asking him to show me. He then filled it for me, walked with me to my car and put the gallon in my car for me, all without me even asking for his help. After having a hard day at work he showed me the pure kindness that I desperately needed. The other workers seemed rude and unwilling to help or care. I want to give this place a better review, but I can't! It is conveniently located, thus lines to the street! Price is comparable to other gas stations (you also need to be careful when you get cheap gas because you get what you pay for, cheap additives, and fillers). The worst part of this station is the service! Most employees there are actually helpful and friendly. I have run into, on 3 separate occasions, 3 different employees who have been unpleasant! So you know how the saying goes "One rotten apple spoils the bunch!" Well, 3 is my limit! They are cheap and they will nickel and dime you everywhere they can! This last employee I ran into was the worst! Either he was a complete moron, or he was purposely trying to rob me! You need to have at least a quarter tank of gas if you're trying to get some during prime hours! The wait is ridiculous, not because of so many cars, just that it takes so long for a car to get out of there! Their fountain soda is watered down. So $0.69 for any size fountain sounds like a good deal, however, like their gas, watered down. However, don't take my word for it, go in and check it out for yourself! This shell is very conveniently located as it's kind of isolated away from other busy places so it doesn't ever get super super crowded and you always have a route to exit once you're done! It's nice because it's right across the street from Ralphs, Chase, some food places, and other places that might be helpful to have closeby when you grab gas! THIS SHELL CONSISTENTLY HAS LOWER GAS PRICES THAN OTHERS IN THE AREA! My go to spot when I don't know there is another place that may be cheaper and close. Normally, there is very little need for someone to review a gas station. I highly doubt that one searches yelp for a gas station nearby with the plethora of other apps and resources out there to complete the same task. So, why might I be giving 4 stars to a chain gas station? That would be their awesome selection of energy drinks inside the store (namely Rock Star). I know that I can't be alone in my excitement about this considering the number of people I've seen patronizing the refrigerated section around the 5 o'clock hour during the week.
