fml... i just filled my small car, and the bill came out to be about 45 bucks. 0_0. surprisingly this place is cheaper compared to the the other gas stations around irvine, which would make sense cuz its usually crowded around night time. i feel like its 2-3 cents cheaper. its tucked away from the major street intersection. its on main street between harvard and jamboree. the store is clean and have your typical gas station goods. snacks, smokes, lotto, drinks, alcohol. there is a burger king right across the station, so if you get hungry just walk over and treat yourself to a whopper. :) read more

It's cheaper than a lot of the other shells and it's conveniently located right across from my apartment. Their selection inside is bigger than most gas stations but doesn't have a really good selection on prepared goods. The gas machines are also really slow... read more

First time coming to this location, and I can honestly say that they have one of the worst employees EVER!!!!!! Walked in today and waited 2 minutes before I was helped by 2 employees that were finishing up their conversation with no customers inside. Then when I was helped I asked for a fill on my pump, then the cashier asked "How will you pay?" in a very heavy indian accent. I replied card...and then he looked at me like I didn't answer his question and repeated it once more but this time I didn't quite comprehend what he was asking me...and I said I'm sorry? He did not like my response, which he proceeded to yell at me saying one single word at a time...HOW!...WILL!...YOU!...PAY?! I don't like confrontations or being rude but this guy straight up yelled at me...in which I responded in defense...Like I said before...with my F******* card. I don't think he thought I would speak up for myself but he then calmed down. I'd would have gone to a different location but I really needed gas and needed to get to work....(why didn't I pay with my card outside you say?...Well 2 of the pumps said unable to take card payment...so I decided to go in) Will definitely not be coming back after this first impression. read more

This is my first visit to this call shell gas station in night looking for hot coffee and I found the coffee it's cold so I tried the coffee Machines guess what I tried all of them and I didn't got nothing put just hot water, and the other part is the cashier guy was sick not wearing he's uniform because I don't see the shell logo on he's shirt, he's not shaved , and the cashier guy moving to slowly.... This place gets negative stars. I mean, come on! All we are looking for in a stupid gas station is... Gas of course, and the occasional air for our tires. This place is the only place ever in my life, where the idiot working the desk asked to see my gas receipt in order for me to get air for my tires.!!! And on a Monday night at 8 o'clock in the evening, when it was not even busy. Oh well, I guess I really can't blame the guy, as he is working at a gas station and that is possibly his only power trip! Lol. But seriously, we really don't need More idiots going around making the world a more miserable place. So next time, gas station guy, don't be a jackass. Just push that air pump button, and see a counselor to sort out your psychological problems. Don't take them out on others. You have done this seemingly impossible: Made this location a total... This is my FAVORITE SHELL gas station, and I often visit this shell station. The customer service, with the cashiers, have always been lovely. TI had the pleasure of meeting RON the other day and he was extremely kind and friendly. One of the better prices gas stations in Irvine. Good entrance and exit. Plenty of stations. It can get busy but there is plenty of room to maneuver around. read more

Terrible service. I filled up today without topping off; however, the pump malfunctioned causing gasoline to spray over my face, hair and my clothes -- reeking of fumes, causing a headache. It was necessary to go home, wash thoroughly and change clothes before returning to work. If I was commuting any distance, this would have posed a hazard indeed. It was bad enough feeling nauseus and headachy and worried about exposure to flame. Jovani, who calls himself a manager, showed no concern when I told him what happened. He casually said he would "check it out; expressed no concern towards me. Gasoline is highly flammable. Last month, needing air in my tires, and not knowing how to work the pumps, I requested assistance. Although there were 3 employees available, I was refused help. I called the manager to ask why customers were treated so badly. He promised to follow up but he did not do so. This station is convenient to my work but based on these experiences, it is not a reputable station. read more

The pumps are slow for both fuel delivery and transaction processing. Otherwise a great gas station and great staff. Fix the pumps.

Worst customer service. Stand in line forever, getting helped by clerk who decides to help the next customer in line because he didn't speak English well enough to know what I was asking for. Pretty lame. read more

This gas station makes me want to set myself on fire like from Zoolander. The most frustrating gas station I have ever experienced in my life. The gas station is ALWAYS busy but only because of its convenient location, not the service it offers. The frequency of Out of Service pumps is outrageous. One should never expect to get gas at the first pump and instead play an infuriating game of pump roulette with the other patrons who are equally as frustrated. Half the time the broken pumps aren't even labeled as such so you get excited to finally not have to wait in a long line to find out through trial and error that the pump doesn't work. If you inform the inside staff they will just have you pay at the register and then never put up a sign for future patrons at the pump. At this point I dont know why they don't have half a dozen laminated Out of Service signs at the ready. They should have diverted their money from the remodel to fixing their pumps. read more

Every single time I come here after 10pm whether it's 10pm or 2am whoever is working is on a break and leaves a sign on the door saying "be back in X minutes" but is gone forever. People line up and wait and then give up and leave. This isn't once this is 10 or more times I've stopped here at night to find a sign. Hire someone who is willing to actually work at the store and not abandon it for hours every night. This is the only convenience store nearby. Right now on 8/3 @ 10:55pm sign is up and store is closed. read more

Good Shell Gas Station. There is a car wash place next to it in the same plaza and a Burger King if you need a quick pit stop. The convenience mart is kept clean and has a lot of food/drinks/etc. Average customer service and it also has a big lot to drive around. However, one thing that i do not like about this location is that to get water/air you have to pay. Normally if you go to Chevron it is free. It definitely helps pass the time knowing that there are installed TV's at each of the gas pumps so you won't be bored just chillin' waiting for your gas to fill up. This location tends to be quite busy because it is the one place in Irvine that has relatively cheap gas for a Shell because the Chevron/Mobil is more expensive. read more

so, this morning ... my car was stolen. not only was my car stolen, the culprit used my credit card i made the mistake of leaving in the car at one of your shell stations located at 3090 main street, irvine, ca 92614. i called them at 949-553-8543 for assistance. they were absolutely no help, and completely unconcerned that someone drove through there with a stolen car using a stolen credit car...d. i was absolutely shocked that this behavior would be in any way condoned. the "gentleman," term used loosely, would only tell me to call back monday, then hung up. how ridiculous. when a stolen car is mentioned, one would think this would be a matter of some urgency. shell should be ashamed at this behavior. read more
