Although the automated response advised replies could take 3-5 business days, I received a response the very same day within just a couple of hours. I've never been in person in this Pharmacy but today because i missed delivery window i ended up stoping by. Ive never had any problems with this pharmacy and i always got my med on time. I walked in and first i was looking for pharmacy and then they told me there is no traditional way pharmacy and im supposed to ring the bell next to window. A nice person welcomed me and brought my med. it was very fast & she also answered my all questions. I love Alto Pharmacy...our connection every time is stress free. Very great service after my doctor called in for Rx in LA location, but I could pick everything up same day in different location (Irvine) close to me. They able to apply any coupons if they are valid to meds I ordered. They are open on weekends, Sat/Sun which is very convenience for the last minute called in Rx. so I started using this pharmacy about six months ago and I really liked them. Deliveries were always on time. Prices were reasonable. People were friendly. They had these great little caramels that they put in the deliveries that were delicious ! I'm not sure what has happened.... I get a medicine from a telehealth provider. It's the same thing every month. It's kind of medicine that if I don't get it, I can end up in the hospital. Alto has always provided me with this medicine. There has never been a problem. last Tuesday or Wednesday I get a message from my provider saying that the pharmacy can no longer fill telehealth prescriptions. So since my prescription is almost out, I reach out to alto pharmacy and I explained to them that it's going to take me a little while to get something else lined up - some of you may know that a lot of don't do telehealth so it can be difficult to find one quickly .. so I am honest with them about that and I ask "is there anyway that you can fill one last one to allow me to make other arrangements?", that's the message that I've attached here. They said that's fine as long as you fill it by November 1. Today is October 27. I waited till the last possible day to refill this prescription so I am completely out of medicine if I don't have it I end up in the hospital. It is scheduled to be delivered by today between 1230 and 4:30 PM. I scheduled it I believe on Friday. Again after double checking with them and getting confirmation which I have attached here. and again this is a medication they know I need and it's not like missing your cholesterol pills. At 10:30 this morning I get a text message from them saying they've changed their minds and that now they won't be able to deliver this prescription to me after all and I need to make other arrangements.- I have already taken my last dose of this medicine and my delivery is scheduled to be here in two hours... The point I am making is that if you are taking something that you absolutely rely on do not get it filled at alto pharmacy . They do not care.. They know that this last-minute decision could very well land me in the emergency room. I called them and pleaded with them and I told them what the possible repercussions could be and what my difficulties were with finding an alternative and they don't care one bit. The ladies name who called me was Zara. the guy who talked to me before her seemed a lot more compassionate, but this Zara lady actually seemed like she was enjoying telling me that I was just out of luck like I've done something wrong by needing a prescription that I've been getting filled there for six months... This is the worst pharmacy I have ever used. They charged my credit card $2000 because they said my insurance did not cover the medications. When I tried to talk to Alto they said they notified me via the app and my daughter accidentally approved the delivery, (I admit that) but really you would think they would have the courtesy to text or call me to say they were billing my credit card on file for $2000. My usual co-pay for this medication with Alto has been $25. I confirmed with my insurance, who documented payment in full to Alto. When you try to call Alto they tell you to use their app (not really appropriate for my case) and they blare static - yes literally static - while you are on hold, for a minimum of 30-60 minutes. They are still telling me they did not receive payment from insurance and I am still trying to recover my money from them. They also do not tell you when their meds are not in stock until the day they are supposed to deliver them, so we have been stuck without medication at all. Highly unsatisfactory and not at all the friendly, helpful pharmacy they claim to be. read more

Buyer beware. Do not under any circumstances give this place access to your bank card information. If you feel somehow compelled to purchase here, be sure to use a credit card so you can dispute bogus charges and hopefully get your money back easier. I wish I could award less than 1 star... The issue: I ordered my meds based on their quote on the Alto app. After I ordered the meds on the Alto app, the price increased with no reason given. It was the old "bait and switch", used by unscrupulous used car salesmen. After 1 hour on hold and a call back, and then 3 text messages I was finally able to get someone on the phone, they apologized and assured me that they would launch an investigation, honor the original price and get this all straightened out. The next day, with their assurance that everything was resolved, I tried to place an order yet again. They pulled the old "Bait and Switch" AGAIN. I cancelled the order AGAIN. After another day spent trying to get ahold of someone, they flat out told me the price was going to be $482 higher than what their site originally said. After all this back and forth, I checked my bank account and I found that nearly $2,700 was missing out of my account. Without them ever shipping anything at all....! They had our money and nothing had left their facilities. Now, mind you, I'm a factory worker and we allocated that money for medicine by eliminating some foods from our families grocery budget. Right now ow because the money is floating In bankers limbo, we can't even get these meds from another pharmacy. They did assure us that the funds would be returned and that it might take a week or so to get our money back. Whatever you do, stay away from this place, you have been warned....!!!! read more

This pharmacy sounds so good, and for the first delivery it was soooo good. But over the past year I have used them they really struggle with keeping medications in stock, and not notifying me of any shortages until the day they are supposed to deliver my medication. In addition, they won't transfer my rx, so if it is out of stock I have to go through the hassle of having my doctor send a new rx to a new pharmacy. I also have to say that the customer service is not great. Any time I have tried to call them I have been on hold for at least 45 min. Their email response time is typically 72 hours. I went back to my old pharmacy, it may be less convenient than Alto, but at least it is consistent and the communication is much more timely. read more

I was so happy with this service when I first started with them. The convenience of delivery and not having to go pick up my medication. My prescription was cheaper than other pharmacies. For my latest prescription order, they let me know a day before delivery that my copay had gone up to $140 instead of the prior $25 copay. When I contacted them to ask why there was a change in price they responded late in the day to say that the coupon had expired and my new copay would be $140. I responded immediately to cancel the order given the insane price increase. They replied the next afternoon saying it was too late to cancel the order. How am I supposed to have time to cancel an order when the company is so delayed in their responses?! I proceeded to ask for a refund or the coupon to be renewed and if this had happened I probably would have stayed with the company but instead they just said to contact my insurance and maybe they could give me a reimbursement. Absolutely appalled by the service with this company giving me a days notice in a $125 increase on my prescription. Will Never be using them again. read more

I was really cheering for Alto to be an amazing experience and a cost effective alternative. Sadly, for me it was not the case. My fertility medications were a mind blowing $4200 at a pharmacy I've used for years. In the end, Alto wanted $7,700 for the same meds. A friend told me about Alto and I quickly requested a quote from them. It took almost a week to get an accurate price quote; it was the most frustrating, mind-numbing experience I have ever dealt with using a pharmacy. I felt as if I was going in circles. Whenever I called or messaged someone I spoke to a new person each time. There was never anyone that was assigned to my prescription, so I had to constantly repeat and explain myself over and over. Originally, I was quoted $2100 for my medications from Alto which was a dream come true (literally half what my pharmacy quoted me). I was told that I would have to switch some fertility medications for other medications, and I would be able to benefit from the lower cost that Alto was offering. My fertility team was great in writing a completely new prescription for me to reflect Alto's price. My nurse sent the new prescription over to Alto three times, and nobody received it. I would call (wait times were extremely long, I opted to have them call me back, and they never did). So I emailed instead, and every response was "we're waiting for your doctor to send us the prescription". I wanted to pull my hair out lol. Finally, someone said fax it to us, but they never included the fax number lol. My sweet nurse finally tracked down a fax number, and sent it over. Unfortunately, after all that, the quote I originally received from Alto was wrong. Whomever typed it up said I need one one quantity of the main medication, but it was actually three. So the price they originally quoted me at $2100; ballooned to more than 3x.I was devastated and worn out from the experience. Alto also added in two medications that were never needed or requested (Novarelle and Progesterone). I had to share my experience to avoid the confusion for another patient. This took me a week to figure out. Here is the end result: Alto does not offer a competitive price for Follistim or Garnirelix; they do seem to work with Gonal F and Cetrocide. Save yourself the time and headache. I did find that everyone I spoke/chatted/emailed at Alto seemed really friendly, and that they wanted to help. But for whatever reason, they just couldn't get everything done in a timely manner. It took 7 days for me to a quote. Other clinics gave me a quote the same day. When it comes to medications; time is of the essence and so is accuracy. I've attached two picture; the first is the $2100 quote, and the final picture is of the ACTUAL quote when Alto was able to get my exact prescription figured out: $7,700!!! I'm pretty sure there are some sort of business dealings going on between physicians & this pharmacy. On one hand, a very expensive med I was recently prescribed by a physician seems to have no issues being filled. The doctor sends from the office, and within minutes it's been processed and ready to go! This seems to good to be true. On the other hand, a plain old run of the mill antibiotic is sent to the pharmacy. It's "being reviewed" and hours after being sent, there is zero progress. Customer service is contacted, and they can't even provide any updates. This is a med that needs to be started ASAP, so I request the Rx be transferred to my local pharmacy. Bam! Within minutes, "your Rx has been transferred successfully!". I'll keep using Alto for the one Rx, but I'll stick with the usual corner drugstores for everything else. The customer service also needs to step up their game. read more

5 stars for the convenience of delivery. I no longer have to wait in line at CVS. They also will call your doctor for refills and their customer service reps are friendly. However, if you need a prescription immediately, this is not the place. Some times they respond to my text messages right away. Sometimes it will take a day. A few times they have not responded at all. One time I was at my doctor's office and I wanted to make sure they had a medication in stock so that the doctor could forward the prescription to Alto. I called Alto and the wait on the phone was going to be for at least 40 minutes, so I had the doctor send the prescription to CVS. I will continue to use them for prescriptions that I don't need immediately. read more

In many ways, I'd rather be a cash patient here than go to Kaiser (and Kaiser Pharmacy is already miles above your local CVS). They're prompt, responsive, and have great service. They constantly reschedule your delivery to the point that they cause a delay in care due to your meds running out. Or they say they are out of stock. I am so grateful that I transferred to Alto. My regular pharmacy stopped delivering for free so I tried alto. I realized this morning that I needed my medication and was able to request it and receive it this evening. They also give you a delicious caramel with each order. Using Alto is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I had been going to CVS for years, and as a person who takes 2 controlled substances, it was always an issue. I have plenty of horror stories I'm not going to go into. It was a hassle and a half. One time, I was venting about this to my doctor, who proceeded to recommend I switch to Alto. He was never more correct! Everything is so simple and easy to use. The app is wonderfully designed. Their customer service is amazingly friendly. When I did have an issue, and had to have a medication filled in another pharmacy, they handled it with no questions or prodding me to fill it with them instead. Multiple problems with the web site and the app. I tried to schedule the delivery, including added the payment method. I entered the card number, code, expiration, zip code; then, tried to press "Add" nothing happened. Apparently, you have to add the payment method first from "Accounts". Also add the address. Only then could I schedule delivery. Today, I am writing after call the 800 number. I am getting the stupid hold music for the last 30 minutes. Reason why I am here is because NowRX sent my prescriptions to them when they transferred ownership now it's under alto . If I would have known this I would have transferred to another spot ! They are incompetent . Could not even verify my insurance saying it's expired . Come on! I know what I have ! NOWRx in Irvine went out of business, transferring all of their customers to Alto. Neither of these idiots informed their customers. I've been waiting on my Rx for over two weeks and counting. Phone lines are jammed and the app is useless because you must wait 24 hours between each message. I still have no idea when it's coming because their is NO COMMUNICATION. They just keep automatically rescheduling for the next day...doctor's office says they can't do anything until I reach Alto to "reverse the Rx"! Madness. read more

My local pharmacy didn't have my medication in stock so my doctor sent my prescription to Alto and I thought I'd give it a try. I have been extremely pleased with their service. Alto Pharmacy is the best. Their app/website is incredibly easy to use. They are incredibly convenient since everything is handled online and their same day delivery is a lifesaver. Their customer service is also very responsive. When I made my order, they let me know over text/messages what time frame I could expect my medication to be delivered and alerted me when it came close to delivery time, when my delivery arrived, and when it was dropped off. The drop off model feels very similar to food delivery apps like Postmates or Grubhub. My medication came delivered in a box with all of meds, syringes, needles, and alcohol wipes included. I also love that they included a Sharps container for me since they saw I had injections. For my local pharmacies, I would always have to buy a sharps container or they would give me the wrong sized needles or syringe barrels. Love them and would definitely recommend them! read more

Used to be amazing. I think I gave a 5 star review not too long ago and recommended them to so many people. Now, the customer service is atrocious and it leads to not being able to get prescriptions for days, regardless of how important they are. Wait times to speak to someone are around 2 hours on a good day. Doctors have to call the same number and wait just as long to speak to someone as a patient does. No doctor is going to sit on hold for hours to clarify something that takes 30 seconds. Messages don't get answered for days, if ever. The last "pharmacist" I spoke to gave me blatantly wrong information and when I asked to speak to a licensed pharmacist (her pharmacy license was suspended) she hung up. On one hand, they're the only pharmacy that carries certain medication (probably because it's so expensive and stocking it is very cost prohibitive) and having it delivered is super convenient. But on the other hand, if there's any issue whatsoever, you're basically stuck not getting your prescription because it's impossible to talk to anyone. The hassle doesn't seem worth it anymore. If you're considering transferring your prescriptions there, I would just stick to a local pharmacy until they can figure out how to answer phone calls effectively. read more

One of the medications I was supposed to get wasn't covered by insurance, so I asked Alto to hold off on it. Someone from Alto messaged me right away and asked why, and I said it was too expensive for me, so they offered to call my doctor for a more affordable alternative and said they would file a claim with my insurance company. I called my doctor myself and got a new prescription, but the next day, the price for my original medication became $0. I was in disbelief and messaged them asking if this was a mistake. It wasn't! Alto really came through and got it covered by insurance for me, saving me over $120! Also, they offer same day delivery during 2 delivery windows if you place your order by a certain time, which is amazing!
