Even more impressive, by the time he was discharged and made the 10-minute drive home, his prescription was already filled and ready for pickup. The level of efficiency was incredible. What really touched me was that the prescription label was printed in my dad's native Korean. That small detail speaks volumes about the care and respect they show their patients. My parents tell me this isn't a one-time experience--they receive this same exceptional service every time. As the daughter of elderly parents, it gives me so much peace of mind knowing they are cared for by a pharmacy that is not only fast and professional, but also thoughtful and compassionate. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE at the front counter for the general store…read more Went in this evening around 7:30pm. Was purchasing several large cereal boxes and an electric razor. The cashier, Eddie, was extremely ARROGANT AND HARSH. He charged me for 2 bags, which was fine because I was using EBT for the purchase, so it would come off and it did, and then he charged for 2 more bags because the other 2 bags came off for the EBT. That means he manually charged me for a total of 4 bags. When I brought this to his attention, he said that since I was also purchasing an electric razor which is not a food item, he was completely justified in charging for the bag charges, even though I was purchasing 2 large boxes of cereal. I told him to cancel my whole order, as I was completely frustrated with him at this point, and he did not even inform me he was charging me for additional bags. To make matters worse, the assistant manager-Jeff was standing there and did not intervene in what was clearly a very bad customer service experience. I was so frustrated, I called the store back when I got home, and Jeff was very apathetic to me. I told him that I was extremely upset about what had just happened and also that he did not intervene, as Jeff has seen me there a few times and knows me as a regular customer there. Jeff did not want to take any proactive actions as part of the managerial staff there, and instead told me to call back in 2 days and speak with the store manager, David. This is actually the 2nd time I have had a horrible customer experience with Eddie. 2 months ago I purchased some food items and a battery for my smoke detector. Eddie charged me twice for the one single smoke detector I was purchasing. It was an ordeal to have him fix his error, as he insisted he had made no mistake at all. Then when he finally took off the extra charge, he was extremely ARROGANT AND HARSH, and made no apology for his mistakes and HORRIBLE ATTITUDE.

Unlike the west-side of Los Angeles, Orange County unfortunately does not have a plethora of compounding pharmacies to choose from, so it's nice to have "King's Pharmacy & Compounding Center" in Irvine. If you need a specialty hard-to-find medication, or an alternative dosage that's not readily available at most pharmacies, or an allergen-free medication, King's can customize medications to suit your individual needs. They can even change formulas from a pill to a liquid, & add your favourite flavour to the medication to make it easier to take! Bonus!!! Although the new location on Red Hill is smaller & a more difficult to find (enter through the back) compared to the (now closed) Newport Beach & Sand Canyon locations, the staff at the new location are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, & will go the extra mile to coordinate with your medical providers to make some difficult situations a bit smoother. They even have a small section of unique gifts available. Tip: When deciding whether or not to seek out a compounding pharmacy, keep in mind that some insurance carriers may not cover the expense of some compounded medications. However, you may find that it is still worth paying out-of-pocket for customized medications to suit your individual needs from these highly-trained pharmacists. If you have unique medical needs that the "big box" pharmacies (&/or commercially manufactured medications) cannot address, try "King's Pharmacy & Compounding Center."

At approximately 8:55 PM, a pharmacy staff member in a blue uniform approached me and informed me that the pharmacy was now closed and that I would need to return another time. I was given no opportunity to be served, despite the fact that: 1. I was physically present and in line BEFORE the closing time. 2. The excessive delay was caused by the transaction ahead of me -- not by any action on my part. 3. I was not warned at any point during my wait that I might not be served. 4. No reasonable effort was made to accommodate a customer who had been waiting in good faith. This is not simply an inconvenience depending on the nature of the prescription, a refusal to dispense medication to a patient already waiting in line can have serious health consequences. Turning away a customer who arrived before closing, due to a delay the customer had no part in creating, is both a failure of customer service and potentially contrary to your own service standards.
