Worst Walgreens to go to if you expect the Walgreens digital coupons to work. They don't work. Maybe 10% of the time, but if you go to any other Walgreens location the digital coupons work. If you want to edit your order, the cashier has to start all over and rescan everything again. Waste of time. Improve the Walgreens software system, so they don't have to do this. And the cashiers get annoyed too. The cashier that works here in the beginning of the week is not friendly and gets annoyed when the digital coupons don't work. Their clearance items sometimes don't ring up right, so of course, the male cashier calls a manager. The big guy comes to get the price check. Oh but wait! The manager's friend arrives so he stands and chats with him while all the customers in line are waiting for the price check. Really?! Chat after dude! The staff always have to call the managers for any little thing. Might as well have one of the managers work the cashier checkout if you have to keep calling them and waiting for them. Not a good Walgreens to go to plus you have to go back and tell them to give you the weekly advertised points. Their system misses the rewards points too. Awful! read more

Pharmacy is the worst customer service. Not only did I have to call 4 times on hold for over 40 minute, I was charged a copay over $60 for generic medication. I should not have had to pay a copay but I just bit the cost cause it took forever to get the medications. Never have had this type experience at any other Walgreens but this location on Eastlake Parkway in Chula Vista,CA. read more

Was in line at 4 p.m on a monday, waited an hour in line at the pharmacy only to be told that they were closing.

Choose another pharmacy- I have used this pharmacy for years based on the simple fact that its close to home and work. But 3 or 4 times they have tried to give me substitute medication w/o calling to let me know beforehand to make sure I wanted to go through with the pick up. They send me texts and calls saying its ready only to find out its not correct. Mind you, I asked for a notation to be added to my acct stating no substitutes. I will be moving to CVS or Rite Aid down the street and stop being lazy. Fingers crossed! The store itself is OK, clean and fully stocked for the most part. I can usually find what I need. Parking lot is weird, so many almost accidents here. Love that they have Redbox outside. I probably go there more than the store read more

Nice, clean Walgreens. The customer service associate are very nice and well groomed. This location is always incredibly clean, well stocked and organized. The aisle are continually clean and free of trash/ debris. At time when the lines are long, they call for extra staffing. This location is completely staffed. I can always find an associate. If you need something through the drive through in a 2 hour time frame, you should plan on getting there 4 hours prior. These people move slower than any DMV. These people are unsure if they are at work or at a snoop dog concert. The pharmacist was just begging for money on the corner of East lake and Burch. If the founder of Walgreens were to see how poorly this location is ran, he'd probably close all of his stores in embarrassment. I checked into the pharmacy at 9:55 am for my 10 am appointment for a COVID vaccine. There were maybe 3 people in front of me either picking up a prescription or checking in for a vaccine appointment. I heard the guy in front of me say he was there for a walk-in COVID shot. When I finally got to the front of the line it was 10:25 am. I checked in and sat in the waiting area. They don't really honor appointments at all here as the guy who was in line in front of me for the walk-in appointment was called back to receive his vaccine before me...if they just take whoever is in line first, what's the point of making an appointment? I finally received my vaccine at 11:20 am. Waiting almost 1.5 hours after your appointment time is completely unacceptable. I just recently moved here and had planned to use this Walgreens as my main pharmacy, but definitely will be going to the nearby CVS instead. read more

The Walgreens located on Eastlake Parkway, Chula Vista has only one person working in the pharmacy. There are 10 cars in line. My friend went inside to see if it would be faster. There were 8 people inside ahead of her In the pharmacy line. She told me that she only saw one person working behind the pharmacy counter. Definitely , there are not enough employees to serve the public. It is like waiting in line in a 3rd world country. read more

This particular Walgreens Pharmacy drive thru is by far the slowest and unprofessional drive thru pharmacy I have ever experienced. There were 2 cars in front of me and it took 25 minutes before I got to the window. Once I got to the window, I was asked to please wait a few minutes. The few minutes turned into 8 minutes and the young pharmacist not only did not apologize but seemed to not even care. There were 4 other pharmacist there and there were no customers waiting on the inside. I the whole experience was very surreal and frustrating and as a customer I felt very pushed aside. read more

Always clean, organized, and the staff is incredibly nice! I mostly come here to shop for makeup as I do at any drugstore. I just find that drugstores have good deals at times and get newer products way before Walmart or Target. The makeup section here is average but it's organized pretty well. You can find your standard brands such as Maybelline and Covergirl but you can also find some lesser known ones such as Jordana. Walgreens also carries the hyped about Rimmel Show Off lacquers which you can't find at other drugstores or stores like Walmart or Target. Apart from the makeup, the rest of the store is well organized and clean. I've come here a couple of times to get a birthday card or pick up some medicine. I also find that checkout is a breeze! So if you don't want to deal with all the fuss at Walmart just come here. read more

This is based on one particular experience I've had here. Being in the health-care field and constantly being in contact with patients, I try to make it a point to update my flu shots every year, and have been going to this Walgreens for that purpose (if it is not offered by my employer). So 5* stars for their pharmacy department. So it is rare that I come here unless it's to get a flu shot or to pick up some occasional meds. I came here to pick up some batteries (specifically to support their business and I didn't want to give my money to Walmart for every little thing), so upon entering, my girlfriend went straight to the makeup section while I headed towards the battery/specialty electronics section. When I saw that a pack of 4 generic batteries were more expensive than I had expected, I went back to my girlfriend to see what she thought...so as I was doing this, these 2 women that happen to be working there abruptly stopped their conversation, stared at me the whole time, and one of them even followed me walking literally one foot away from me as I walked back to my girlfriend. It was pretty obvious that they THOUGHT I stole something and they were not at all discreet even in the slightest. It was very uncomfortable. Ok, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, this Walgreens is close to Eastlake high, and maybe they get a lot of dumb kids that try to steal stuff, but after that experience I try to avoid this place unless absolutely necessary. It's just so unfortunate that one bad experience can ruin it for someone. read more

I wasn't asking him to shop for me just to point me in the right direction. The only complaint I have is they run out of Walgreens brand cold medicines pretty quick! Several times I have had to stand in the aisle all woozy whimpering under my breath trying to figure out the name brand to buy instead... Positives Close enough to my house I could walk if I really needed to. Good selection even if the store is a bit on the small side. None of the Wallmart nonsense :) Nice pharmacist who helped me out in mid allergic reaction what meds I could take and not worry about driving to a family dinner in North County. This review is for the Pharmacy specifically. I've never had SO many issues with a pharmacy, in the many years I've been having monthly prescriptions filled. I've seen it busy as well as not but still encounter the same issues. I have had them not fill a prescription because they mixed up the refill request with a similar prescription (same pills- birth control, different name, there are many & they refill with whatever they have) even though they had just received the authorization. Thankfully it wasn't a needed, necessary pill. There might be nobody in the waiting area, but I've never not had to wait at least 10 min to be tended to. Just last week when I was attempting a refill, I kept getting the "hold while we connect you to the next available...", then taken off hold, sent to ring a ton, then back to hold & eventually hung up on, THREE TIMES. Took a half hour to place a 10 second refill. When I finally did go pick it up, I sat in the drive through for 27 minutes, to take all of 2 min to pick up and drive away. At the 15 minute mark, I attempted to call to verify they weren't on a lunch/closed (this was Tuesday around 1pm) and never got through to anyone in the next 12 minutes that I sat there. Unfortunately, it gotten consistently worse to the point where it's quicker to refill in Vons/Walmart/Costco or any of the other pharmacies in the area... I really don't recommend this Pharmacy. read more

Don't have your FedEx package held here. I was on travel and ask my husband to pick it up. He could FaceTime me so I can show ID. Per FedEx customer service, my husband could pick up package as long as he shows ID with same address as me. Alex from the store would not release the package and even told me they will return the package to FedEx. I don't understand that clearly, the contents are mine but he sounded like I had no right to that package. Instead of apologizing for his behavior, he repeated his message numerous times as if I didn't understand it the first time. They are inexperienced, granted. They could have handled it better with their customer service. read more

Worst experience at the pharmacy EVER... I have Medi-Cal and I'm covered yet I still paid $$$ for my prescriptions??! Ridiculous... I just moved here and already had to take enough trips to the ER for my complications.. I already went through enough pain and suffering and I just needed a break and thought I was going to have an easy trip to the pharmacy for my meds and it was the opposite of that.. she didn't want to do the extra work to confirm that I'm covered so she just said I have to pay for it.. sorry it's an inconvenience that i don't have my medical card but I'm giving her my info to look me up and nothing.. I even called my Medi-cal and they said I AM COVERED! I went the extra mile to make sure and she just sat there pushing buttons at a register saying I need to pay.. and I really needed my meds so i just paid... someone needs to give her a talk or hire someone else who actually cares about their customers and does their job.. she does not deserve a job there! read more

I absolutely love going into Walgreens & this is my local one. It's a great place to get the neccesary things you need for everyday. When I forget to pick up a present or a card, I can find it here. When I'm craving ice cream, there it is. I come here mostly for the photo proccessing, which is fine as well. The staff is pretty cool as well, a couple of them already know me & my sister. They're very friendly & try to strike up genuine conversations. I also like going in to check out crazy cheap things that come through the seasons or holidays, it's so fun! read more

Had an appointment at 2:10pm for a flu shot. Did not get my flu shot until 3:30pm. It only took about a minute to actually receive the injection-- so why did I have to wait so long. It's flu season, they should have vaccinations pre-prepared. On top of that, all the people in front of me were walk-ins, my appointment should have been honored. Additionally, 3 people who received their flu shot before me, were behind me when I waited in line. read more

It is funny how one little detail brings the whole show down.. I have been in and out of this one store in Eastlake as it is a few blocks from me, love the store location and all.... but there is always a but.... Last night I had a very bad experience as I attempted to purchase a Money Pack, first of all I did not know where it was located after searching around I came a cross the store manager as I later found out, and she pointed to a general are not one in particular, so I did some more searching and I was unable to find my item, I asked her again and she appeared bother some, but I did find it at the end. NOW... as I approached the counter the cashier requested the managers assistance, (person who I have been dealing with). first thing she said, ....you need to pay cash for this, holding back the Money Pack Card, I replied ...Do I have to pay for that separately? and she said no... I need the money, so I gave her 20.00 dollars and she brought out her counterfeit pen and tested it and she put that money away along with the card and placed it them under the counter (gave me the impression she tough I was going to steal it) then she proceeded to ring up items up.. and never smiled and again she acted bother some.. All I have to say if that is procedure at least be nice.... and don assume people are there to steal from the store which give patron a bad costumer service impression. specially coming from the store manager, who is an African America, with black dread locks bleached out at the tips, messed up teeth and creepy looking...... If I was to profile her as creepy as she looks I still would not treated the way she treated me. This one star is for the one nice cashier at the entrance who tried to help me with my return from an online order. He couldn't pull it up on the computer so he called over a manager or something. She's a young lady with purple hair and she was just rude from the start. She said I needed my paper receipt because my email order confirmation wouldn't work. Also, because I don't have a rewards card with them and they couldn't look up my item that way, I could only get store credit. Why would I need a rewards card with you to get a fair return?? Nowhere else does that. Plus I had my email confirmation... proof that I actually bought everything and it should have been simple. I found my paper receipt in my car (which I had been told at another Walgreens, that the paper confirmation wouldn't work...) and came back and a male helped me and said I could only get store credit due to it being past the 30 days. I respect the deadlines but the problem was that I had been to a Walgreens days before (before the 30 day mark) and some lady had told me "I would be fine past the 30 days" and she's also the one who told me my paper receipt wouldn't work and that I had to go back when her manager was there because she couldn't do it. That was at a different Walgreens but overall both experiences were awful. When I told this man that someone "assured" me it would be fine past the deadline, he cut me off very rudely and said he couldn't override the system. I'm only upset about everyone's attitude and condescending tone. Not asking for exceptions or special treatment I just don't understand why the lady from the first Walgreens misinformed me so much! Also don't understand why my email confirmation wasn't enough like it should be and like it is at so many other places. Won't be shopping at Walgreens anymore, that's for sure. read more
