I had an appointment for a quick procedure at the CVS Minute Clinic. I had done my research beforehand and booked the appointment online. I arrived 40 minutes early. The cell service in the waiting room was poor, so I couldn't fully check in through the CVS website. I ended up using the kiosk instead. I was called back right on time. When I met with the provider, they told me they didn't actually have the treatment in stock. They explained that the product expires too quickly and that it's rarely requested, so they don't keep it on hand. The appointment was canceled, and I was advised to buy what I needed over the counter.I checked the price of the products on the shelf at CVS and it seemed fairly expensive. I then looked it up on Walmart's website and saw it was roughly half the price. Since no procedure was performed and I didn't need to buy anything there, I used the Walmart app to order what I needed with free delivery. read more

The customer service at this CVS location is abysmal, and practically nonexistent. Our daughter purchased a Dick's Sporting Goods gift card as a birthday present to me on the 8th of this month, with a prepaid amount of $150. A week or so later, me and my wife went to the local Dick's to use the card. Upon checking out, we were informed that the card did not read, and when we scratched off the section on the back that revealed the card number, a portion of the number was illegible. Long story short, it was a fake card. Apparently, scammers are taking real cards from store shelves and replacing them with fake ones with the same info. When a person buys a fake card, the real one that the scammers have gets activated, not the one that the customer just purchased. Anyway, once we discovered what had happened, we went to the CVS at 645 E. Palomar Street in Chula Vista where my daughter had purchased the card. We were assisted by a manager by the first name of Eduardo. Unfortunately, my daughter no longer had the sales receipt, and she had purchased the gift card with cash. However, it is well known that stores can look up sales transactions by date and time of day, and we provided that information to the manager, who went to a back room to follow up on what we had provided. Shortly thereafter, he returned and informed us that he was only able to look up transactions on or after April 13th, but that the store manager, whose name is Melissa, would be able to assist us further. He then told us that Melissa was out of town for a couple of days, and that we would be hearing from her after she returned to work. Needless to say, we never received a call from Melissa or anyone else at the store. We returned to the store today, and my wife spoke to Eduardo, at which time he said that he had talked to Melissa regarding the situation, and that she had told him that there was nothing that could be done due to the fact that they are unable to retrieve sales transactions that far back. The explanation provided was totally ridiculous and unacceptable, and it really felt like they just didn't want to help us. With today's technology, retailers ARE able to look up and retrieve transactions that go back several months, or even years in some cases. We've both worked retail in the past, and we would never have been allowed to treat a customer with such disregard. We were thinking that this is probably the way customers in Third World countries are treated, but nobody should be treated like that in this country. We have consumer rights and protections, and the saying "The customer is always right" was definitely not followed in this case. We are now in the process of elevating our case to upper CVS management, and we will not stop until we get our daughter the refund she deserves. In the meantime, you should avoid this particular CVS, unless you're in the mood for some terrible customer service! read more

When there is a cashier available they always remind me about looking up and using my coupons which I appreciate because I often forget The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because sometimes they don't have staff at the front to ring you up so you have to wait around for someone to assist you. read more

I've been to this cvs once about every month for the last several years. I don't use the pharmacy. I usually use the self checkout. I don't normally but here, I do. Today I decided not to use said machine, so I was helped by a person who I'd say was hating his boss or job. I'm not a big people person anyway. Anyway! The roll out of the 2023 Covid Vaccine was a fiasco at CVS. As soon as the news announced the Vax was available, I called CVS and confirmed with the Pharmacy Dept. they had it in stock. I was advised that I had to go online to CVS website to make an appointment. I immediately made a "Group" appointment for 3, including myself for Sept 28, 2023 at the Eastlake CVS at 10:15 am. Group appts are time consuming as all information needs to be provided for each individual. Those appts were made over a week in advance. We received text messages confirming the appts. The day before the appt., CVS sent a text canceling all 3 appts and encouraged us to reschedule. I went online for the second time to reschedule the "Group" appt for Sept 28 at 5:30 pm at the East Palomar location. Two hours later we received another text cancelling those appts. That text said, "Due to unforeseen circumstances" the appts were canceled and encouraged us to reschedule. For the third time I went online to reschedule a "Group" appt. This time East Palomar did not have any appts available, but Eastlake CVS had appts at 10:45 am. The day of the appt, I received a call from CVS Pharmacy stating they ran out of the Vax. I complained that I already made 3 separate "Group" appts. If they ran out of the Vax, why does the text messages encourage me to reschedule? I also indicated that their website needs to be updated to block off appts when they run out of the Vax. She didn't even apologize for the inconvenience and simply said, "you'd have to ask our IT dept". Worst customer service! One of the individuals in my group also needed a flu vaccine, so he went to the Eastlake CVS and got the flu Vax at 10:45. Around 1:30 pm I received a call from the East Palomar location inquiring if the one individual needs the Covid Vax & the Flu Vax. I indicated he got the Flu Vax that morning and said we received a call earlier indicating CVS ran out of the Covid vax. He said, "It's first come first serve". Why does CVS request that customers make appts if you're not going to reserve a sufficient amount of the vax for those appts? Why was I advised that I had to make an appt to begin with if it's first come first serve? The guy said we are about to run out, so if you can get here quickly, he might be able to get the covid Vax. We rushed to the East Palomar location and literally got the last covid Vax for one individual in my group, then they ran out. There was a guy behind us in line and when they announced they ran out of the Vax, he was understandably upset and quite vocal about it because he had an appt. Unfortunately I know exactly how he feels. I'm frustrated and disappointed in the way CVS handled the entire situation. One star as that is the lowest rating you can give. My niece went by there and now CVS has a sign indicating that they are no longer taking walk-ins ... too little too late. read more

CVS pharmacy treats patient on legitimate opiates Like we are all strung out and lying about what we tell them. The only nice ones are Tina and Mason. They are managers of the pharmacy. I am on a fraction of the dose of what I could be on of this particular medication. I travel for work every weekend many times longer. So It's important to know when I can get my prescription so I make sure I am in town that day. It is so disrespectful and condescending. Pharmacies are part of the reason we have this opiate epidemic. Remember they used to hand out Vicodin like it was candy! Now they are going to make sure the patient knows who's in control of the meds and they will give it to you when they want . You can call twice 5 mins apart and the answers to simple questions are different ! It is condescending and disrespectful. If they were not the least expensive I would transfer my prescription for sure? I would give them 1 star but the app will not let me take the second star away. But all in all IMO 1 star!! I didn't want to post this review. It's for the CVS on East Palomar in the Chula Vista/Eastlake area. I avoid dealing directly with the pharmacy personnel because they are rude, unprofessional, not helpful and way too busy for the paying customer. The tone, attitude and condescending demeanor of the female I just got off the phone with is unacceptible, but I've called before (once) to speak with management, and the person who took the call, impersonated a manager. They seem to resent deliveries. That particular delivery was supposed to be for anti-biotics that I needed because I was sick. The delivery never came. When I called back two days later and asked to speak to the female manager, I was told they didn't have a female pharmacy mgr. So what was the point in not delivering my medication? There is something very wrong with the people who work there. It's time to change pharmacies. read more

This store is full of snobby employees who run around the store and think that they're not noticed spying on you as you shop. I spent almost 2 hours going through each isle getting things I needed/wanted as I had time to kill in the area. I made my way back to the restroom, set the basket down about 20 feet from the door because I knew they were pretending they were stocking but really they were watching me. Now mind you, I had no purse with me, and my clothing which was leggings and a tank top, would not be a hiding spot for whatever it is they think I was taking. I used the restroom, washed my hands and as I was drying them and fixing myself before going out, there's a loud knock and a man literally yelling that customers were waiting... so I open the door and there's one lady who obviously came to use it the same time I did if she was waiting because I was not in there long. So I come out, walk over to where I put my basket and it's gone. My phone was in there underneath things so whomever took the basket, dug through it to retrieve my phone. I go to the front and these snobby employees lie to my face and say a customer brought my phone up and left... so the lady dug through the basket and took my phone just to turn it in? These people collectively have no integrity. So after going back and forth with this super snotty man I knew he was lying. I was standing towards the front of the store getting ready to write this review before leaving, and I hear, "Is she gone?" To which I answered, "No she's not". Then this chubby, sweaty little blonde man approaches me at a sudden loss for words and he informs me that, hey what do ya know, they actually DID have my basket behind the counter. Directly beside where the other snotty man was standing when he proceeded to lie to my face. I informed this sweaty person that I don't appreciate being lied to or having my personal belongings touched. He says he will ring me out. So I go to the register, he was treating me like a child now not allowing g me to touch anything in the basket when I was trying to put things in order because if the total got too outta hand I would have already gotten what was most important. This spaz yanks the basket away fro Me and yells that he doesn't want my business and to just leave. I was prepared to spend up to $300 in that store. I had it budgeted in , I was buying my daughters face soap, toner masks, some make up and that stuff could get pretty pricy so that price seemed reasonable to me. Again I had on clothes that hugged my body and no purse so what exactly did this sweaty little unpleasant man and his spineless minions think I was going to take? Unlike these people, I actually have integrity and I value it more than anything that store has to offer so they read me wrong. I'll go spend that money at target later on and from now on I will steer clear from this store as I learned today that there are a bunch of employees who get a paycheck to stalk, yell at, and blatantly lie to and disrespect customers all while not allowing more than 3 minutes in the restroom before getting barked at and told to get out. They were the most unprofessional group of integrity free individuals I've ever experienced dealing with first hand. Unprofessional, cowardly, and outright mean. I was only going to proceed with this shit show and see it through to the end just to see the look on his orange chubby face when I whipped out my phone, you know, the one that he took it upon himself to hide behind the counter, to purchase $300 worth of stuff from his precious store. True self esteem can only come from esteem-able acts and that is why I don't steal. Looking in the mirror and truly being cool with who I see is a bit more important to me than nail polish. So steer clear from this place.... If possible. There are plenty of other stores within a couple miles that have the same stuff minus the little person version of Johnny Bravo with a DIY tan and sweat stains.with sweat stains. If I could give zero stars I would!! COVID test My son and I trusted Cvs to do our PCR test for Japan travel on Sunday. We paid what they asked for and our results were supposed to be delivered one to two days. We had planned this trip for months on end, and it was a trip for my son's 18th birthday. Cvs never delivered my sons PCR test, and we missed the flight!!!!! Never ever rely on Cvs to get your PCR test done on time! Probably one if the best run pharmacy's around town. Very clean and well stocked. My favorite place to run in and out for beer or a nice bottle of wine for dinner. The staff is always friendly despite the Civid-19 restrictions and protocols in place. Be glad when this is over. They always have such a nice variety of stuff so the aisles are cool to peruse. It is also located in a very clean and safe neighborhood. I have a membership here so the perks like a dollar here and there and discounts on real stuff I buy do come in handy sometimes. As for the 7 foot receipts! I just think that is hilarious, but I do look at them. Great place overall. read more

5 Stars: for being able to schedule my Covid Test within 2 days. I thought this is great! 1 Star: Had to self administer test and was not notified in advance. Very nervous and felt bad it took me a while to gather the nerve to complete the process. 0 Stars: Testing turn-around time. Was told 6-10 days and it is listed as so on their website. Well it has been 11 days. Called in and did get connected to an associate. Awesome! I asked what is the longest turn-around currently and she said an additional 5 days....so 16 days total where people who have taken test but no results. Yikes! Appreciate being able to get tested but clearly scheduling way more than they can handle. My children were tested the day after via their Drs office and they received their results 4 days later. Reduce testing to adhere to published turn-around or be honest and provide actual turn-around times. Update: Finally received my results back. Took 18 days or 12 business days. read more

Rude and lazy workers. Called at 930am and was told they'll have to call to get my medication approve and to call back in one hour. I call back after an hour and the guy told me they don't call for approval. My medication was suppose to be ready by august 14 and not they're saying 24-48 hours from today (8/15) I'm out of medication so the guy pretty says in shit out of luck read more

The pharmacy team has horrible customer service especially Ann. She is rude and tried to make me angrier than I already am. Every time I came in to pick up medications there is some issue that they could have fixed before I got there. They even have the audacity to blame my doctor for not cooperating with them and yelling at them. On top of that, I have to argue with them before they help me. I should be able to pick up my medication without the attitude and hassle. Horrible I do not recommend CVS go somewhere else Someone should teach them how to deal with customers/how to talk to people. read more

I have had prescriptions filled INCORRECTLY, and have even had prescriptions filled they were not even my dosage! Lisa and a Chinese woman named Thuytien T 'tina' Du the so called 'Pharmacists' is extremely unprofessional and rude. So much in fact I am filing a report to the board of California Pharmacology. The attitude I received from her was so uncalled for. They need to have an RX audit. The workplace is always messy, pills on the floor and even the technicians all look like they hate their job. I arrived today for my appointment with the minuteclinic and was turned away because I had two symptoms of Covid: fever and sore throat. They offer covid testing here so I thought they would just test me right there as #1 I had an appointment, and #2 no one was scheduled after me, and #3 they offer covid testing. I was turned away on the spot because of the two symptoms listed above. I was told I needed to make an appointment for covid testing. Uhm, I HAD an appointment so what was the deal? I went to my car and cried. I've never been turned away by a physician before. I can tell I have strep throat and not covid but I have to return with a negative test result for covid before I can be seen. Which is confusing because why couldn't I have been tested right there when they offer it??!! read more

I don't remember the exact price but let's say it was 2 for $5 for a certain nail polish brand, $5 was marked on every color of nail polish for this brand. When I went to pay, the nail polish came out to be $7 for 2, their register was wrong or the pricing on their shelves was wrong. Either way, they should've given it to me for $5 since that's the marked price, but the cashier just went 'oh well maybe it was a sale and the sale is over' & charged me for $7.. read more

Went here to pick up some items. We walk in and we were greeted by the lady at the cashiers. Great way to say Hi to your customers. I like this location because it's clean and people here seem to be friendly. This location seems a bit bigger, more organized and clean. I needed to pick up some blistex Chapstick and some hot and icy cream for my arm. I type a lot at work and get pains in my forearm in my muscle. It was on sale. Two for $9.99. Not bad. I also got my daughter a stuffed animal. She remembered the one she lost and had to replace it. You can find a lot of stuff here. There's parking in front. The only thing I didn't like was there's guys hanging around in front of the business soliciting stuff like those bootleg CDs. He wasn't harassing me just trying to sell CDs. I have been using this CVS for a long time it is our neighborhood one. So most of the cashiers I know and have a very nice relationship with them, until today. I had cashed in some coins and have do e it before so I know the routine. I hand the receipt to the cashier and then they hand me the money. So on my receipt it says the cashier is AMTUL, seem to be a younger tall woman. She said the total and put the money on the counter not a problem I picked up. But on the little kiosk thing where we pay is asked if I wanted the receipt printed or no receipt, I pressed no receipt.Oh my gosh she screamed at me telling that was for her I shouldn't have pressed it, I always do. WHY would it be on my screen? She then rings up my items I had a coupon and was using a gift card not a problem. Then on the screen it asked if I wanted the money back or on the gift card. She told me to answer I stopped and said are you sure it is asking me? She did not see the humor in that but at point I was furious. read more
