Store looked clean, worker was mopping and parking was easy. Biggest downside is the drink selection was very small !! Coolers are to the back left when you walk in. It's always a pleasure to talk to "NORMA"on our morning coffee run's before work. It's clear that Norma takes great pride in her work and genuinely cares about providing a great service to ALL of her customers. Whether stocking shelves, managing the register, or assisting with any other duties Norma is always on top of things. And her smile is very contagious!!! The coffee is always fresh and hot, the cups and creamers are always stocked along with the other supplies. She never skips a beat and this is why I come to this 7-11 during the weekday. I'm not satisfied with my service, I won 54 on a lottery scratcher and he scanned it and said it wasn't a win when it clearly was, I was also told that even if it was a win no cash would be given to me? This is my closest and favorite 7-Eleven that I go to. You don't have to worry about homeless people asking for money and throwing things all over the place. This is my go to place for snack for movie nights. Their staff are always in a cheerful mood . They got a big selection of drinks and snack.I also love the fact that the Redbox is right in front of it. This is a great place to get snacks for Netflix and chill or Redbox movies. read more

I attend Southwestern College, I visit 7-11 practically every other day. There has been several occasion that I see cashier NORMA being rude to customer who use EBT, she makes faces, she is frustrated, and gives off a sense of grandiosity. Her name is NORMA, I had to ask for her name just to make sure. I have seen her snap on customers for paying with both EBT Card and Debit Card, she seems short tempered and makes it seem like its the customer fault for her not taking the proper actions for both transactions back to back. On an other occasion a gentlemen tried to purchase water and Pedialyte, he asked is he could enter his card number because the strip was not working. She said no, he said I've done this before and other cashiers have done this for me here many times, she refused, and all though he was asking why she couldn't help him, she kept getting louder and louder, and he wasn't raising his voice. She was pretty much yelling at some point, telling him its a government ID and she could not do it. First off, it is NOT a government ID, its a government program for food. Someone even afford to pay for him. He said no but thank you. She was awful and she humiliated him. Again with an attitude toward people who must be already going through a difficult time. A lady swiped her card 3 times and it was not working, most POS (point of sale) systems, you swipe with strip facing inside down toward the POS, well this one was facing up and this lady's English(cashier) is not the best and she gets frustrated that her instructions are not understood because she lacks communication. NORMA told the customer "WAIT" and took her card and said "this way" and she huffed and puffed in front of everyone as if to call the customer stupid without "calling the customer stupid". I believe its just as important to be fast at the cash register, but even more important to be able to work in a fast past environment with out having to humiliate anyone due to financial status, age, color, or any type of disadvantage. We are in 2023, with such advance technology, I have seen cashiers being able to enter EBT card numbers or credit card numbers when the strip is bad, but I honestly believe she did not know how. She lacks training. It is sad to see people act out on other people due to their own inferiorities. read more

This location does not honor 7-11 rewards or promotions so don't bother trying to use them. Which is very disheartening since it is so close to a community college and we all know most students could use a financial break now and then! When I questioned why they did not honor the promotion price in the 7-11 app, the cashier pointed to a tiny sign posted on the soda machine saying they did not honor app promotions. This has been my 7-11 for the last 15 years. And all I have to say is average store. They have good and bad employees. At the end of the day is a very casual store that even if we get treated bad we will stop by because it's super close from where I live. They have improved what they have. They have been adding a lot of things. You can easily find whatever you need there. They have good donuts when they are fresh and new. They added a lot of Mexican candies and bread cookies and all that. Which is really nice. They have a variety of hot food like pizza, hot dogs, and much more. The prices are better than going to vons or Ralph's which are Infront of them. There's always parking around it. That's why overall I'm giving it a 3 star maybe in the future I can go up to 4 read more

Clean, well stocked convenient store. Staff is ok. Average customer service. This location is constantly well staffed and gets the lines moving. This particular location is located in an extremely hectic strip mall. It's located right accords the street from Southwestern college. During the morning and lunch rush, parking is a nightmare. 7-11 continuously offers in store specials. I purchased 2 gatorades for $2.50. Great deal! A big bite hot dog and big gulp $2. One of the better 7-Eleven's I've been to, and I've been to a lot - all over the country, and all over the world. Well-stocked with plenty of goodies and drinks - including national and local micro-breweries. This place has a pretty heavy throughput, but what's great is that they almost always have a second cashier opened up and the line flies. We love to get small slurpees from 7/11. This location is right across from Southwestern College in the Eastlake area. We were nearby and it was getting warm so we went to claim our free small slurpees. We had a few coupons given to me back on Halloween as a treat. So cool. As we walked in, we headed to the back. The flavors here were good. I got cherry and sugar free strawberry. There were other flavors like blueberry, piña colada, Coke, etc. The store was clean and things were easy to find. They also had fountain drinks, sandwiches, doughnuts and so much more. I love stopping by any 7/11. It is a quick way to get slurpees, snacks or drinks on your road trip. Parking was easy to find on a Sunday afternoon. Just be careful for in and out traffic. People tend to speed coming in the area. 7/11 is shared with other businesses nearby. Out of the possibly hundreds of 7-11's I've been to in my life and all over the country few things surprise me. Pros: Redbox, cheaper cigarette's than most convenience stores from other parts of the county, very friendly staff, nice and cold store temp. Cons: Deep into East County and not as visible (you will see the sign, but not know where exactly it is), no gas station, not the greatest parking situation due to cross traffic. Not that great a selection of newer drink options, not as stark in brightness of lighting as I'm used to. The store is about average if your comparing to the older generation of 7-11's with the crappy brownish tile versus the newer suprbreight one's all decked in fluorescent lights and shiny fixtures. It's in a pretty good spot close to neighborhoods, schools and restaurants versus being stand alone. Chula Vista/Otay/Eastlake isn't a big hub for testing so I didn't see anything I'd never seen before. Come for the service and selection, not the size or amenities, except for the double wide redbox. Prices are par for the course of every other 7-11 in San Diego. read more

This store is usually fairly clean and well stocked. There's always a ton of options for snacks so if you're fixing for something cheap and fast I'd make this the place. I love slurpees and this location seems the be one of the few that has all their flavors working constantly. Which, I know doesn't sound like much, but is an incredible thing considering you'll almost always find a broken slurpee dispenser at other places. There's nothing worse than wanting a flavor and it being broken but that doesn't usually happen here. There's also a wide variety of swishers and cigarettes if you're into tobacco but that's off the record for all the kids out there. My only issue with this place is that the parking lot of the plaza it's located in is always packed and full of awful drivers. But I know it's not the stores fault so four stars it is! read more

Great place to grab quick snacks in between my classes. It's a walking distance from my school, perfect! Usually I get the arizona teas and hot cheetos or coffee if Im about to fall asleep. Staff here are pretty nice and welcoming. Also, I love coming in here when its HOT!! they blast their ac, hehehee. One more thing, they have red box right outside of this store. Watch out when you walk in the parking lot, people tend to drive crazy here even though theres speed bumps...Probably either super impatient drivers or people who are late to their classes. I went here for A cup of coffee. I only buy coffee from 7-Eleven. It's the Vanilla cappuccino that I love. Well, it was coming out like water. Maggie and Patty worked the machine. They cleaned it thoroughly and added the vanilla powder mix to the machine. They were very patient and diligent in getting the machine to work. They both displayed great customer service and went out of their way to get the machine working. I was a happy camper because I got to leave with my cup of coffee. They both were very friendly!! This place is one of the most awesome and friendly local neighborhood 7-Eleven store I have ever been too! The folks that work here are super friendly and actually take the time to remember their customers and make them feel at home if they are regulars. This same treatment is given to the folks that also are new to place, which is definitely what I was. Most importantly, check out the new product that they have out called 1HourBreak! That stuff is way better than the Marley Mellow Moods. Those things put a person to sleep, must be all the melatonin. 1HourBreak sprays puts you in relaxed calm state, but not to the point where you can pass out. They sell for the same amount as a 5-Hour Energy, but instead of one shot, you get 15 servings = which is 80 sprays. The owners here are pretty dope, they definitely are just as friendly as their staff. If you're in the area, this is definitely the 7-Eleven to visit. The one down by Bonita, is a pretty big store, but not as friendly and definitely doesn't have as much good stuff. Watch out for the 1$ Maple Pancake Sausage Rollers. This is a freakin trap! 7-Eleven hired some stoners and made some really yummy stuff. How do I know, cause when I was promoting the 1HourBreak, this is the snack I got to eat for free.
