It's been a while since I've gone to a cafe that will put effort into making their latte's. So when my girls suggested we go here, I didn't really have any expectations. Not bc I heard anything good or bad about the place, but based on a bunch of spots popping up and just having a cute aesthetic and not great coffee. When I say I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED when I took my first sip, I literally wanted to jump for joy and hug the baristas I ordered a salted maple latte and I've been fixated on it ever since. The place is really popular and they do sell out of the specific drink I like pretty quickly. And the place is a bit of a drive so I am not able to get it as often as I would like, but this is once Coffee shop I would recommend to anyone if they're willing to drive down south or are in the area. read more

I came here on a whim to get some coffee + get some work done since I was near this area already. As soon as I walked in, I noticed that everyone working here had a positive and welcoming vibe - which is HUGE for me. I really appreciate when employees at a spot actually care about their work, it says a lot about the ownership/management. I ordered an iced PSL and their Avo Toast. Both were absolutely fire. The drink didn't taste like it was loaded with sugar, which allows you to actually taste the coffee and notice the quality of the beans. The avo toast I had was drizzled with this chili oil they make in house and it was 10/10. I wish I lived closer to here, as I'd likely visit daily. First timer! I ordered a banana matcha which was a bit sweet for my taste. My friend got some vanilla coffee, I tried a sip and it was WONDERFUL. Casa De Otay is one of my favorite spots to grab an iced matcha, I especially love the banana matcha! So glad they changed it from being seasonal to now being on the regular menu. I do admit I like my matcha on the sweet side , that being said , if you don't like it like that it might not be for you from here. I love that I can over from the app and have it ready for pickup (but I prefer when they used to keep them behind the counter and added the ice when you arrived). The building inside can be VERY loud , so it's not exactly the coffee shop where you'd come to study, more like for a good yap session. Parking can be hit and miss, just make sure you don't park in the apartment parking as to not get towed. read more

Cute spot in the middle of apartments and business fronts! Loved how open space and enough tables for everyone to get cozy too. I absolutely love how they have a little couch area and coffee toy bar for kids (I'll take a picture next time). So much room to get work done, coffee dates, and even outside seating. What a gem for everyone who lives upstairs and close. We got the iced salted maple latte and I loved it. Sweet, strong, and yummy vanilla cold foam. My bf also got a cortado. Came on a weekday afternoon. Pleasantly surprised by the lattes here. Aside from their usual menu, they had a seasonal summer menu that was lemon-themed. It sounded good too, but since it was my first time I ended up going with an iced Cafe de Olla. My sister went with an iced Salted Maple Latte. We both enjoyed our drinks. Customer service was friendly. The interior has a clean, minimalistic aesthetic. Plenty of tables inside and some outdoor patio seating as well. Now that I have gone back a couple of times, I also know their empanadas are delicious too! As far as drinks, I've had their iced matcha w/honey and their salted maple latte - both customizable and outstanding. Staff are nice and helpful with drink customizations. The space is clean, with ample of seats indoor and outdoor. This will become my go-to spot for a quiet, chill afternoon to read a book or catch up with a friend. This is for the actual building location, not the one with the blue building. This location is cute, I can see people come here to study. I got the iced salted maple vanilla bourbon drink and it wasn't bad. It does taste a bit bitter but I honestly only taste the vanilla portion. I think it's just a cute place, I didn't try their pastries because they all looked a bit dry in the display case. They do have a lot of merch on sale, but a bit pricey. This is a very nice place to come for espresso based beverages, tea based beverages, and baked goods and eats. I had the iced matcha latte with oat milk. It was delicious indeed and came with ceremonial grade matcha. I had them add a touch of honey and the matcha and honey flavors came out great. I had a large oatmeal cookie with it. The cookie was tasty and chewy. The acoustic are loud in this place. Voices bounce of the floor and and window covered building. However, it is a very nice trendy looking place with comfortable seating. The service at the counter was very nice. All the workers appeared in high spirits and good moods. My cup didn't have their logo sticker either, so it just looked plain, which was kind of a bummer since I wanted that Instagram moment. My friend liked her drink and rated hers an 8/10 - hers was on the sweeter side. I'd give my drink around a 6.5/10. If you're into sweeter drinks, this place might be more your vibe. We both ordered the Salted Maple Iced w/ oat milk. Price-wise, my drink was $10, which felt a bit pricey for what I got. I think I could find something better for the price elsewhere. Service was fine! They shared their most popular drinks, but when I asked about the specialty cold foam art I always see online, I didn't get a direct answer. The regular matcha was a little bland and didn't taste any sweetness at all. The coffee shop was spacious and beautiful. The guy taking my order looked like he had something better to do. There is a large open space where you can sit here and work or simply catch up with a friend or just simply enjoy your coffee. I love that Chula Vista is coming up with some aesthetic coffee shops. It could be the cute, open, high ceiling spot, tasty empanadas and avocado toast, or even all the visually appealing merch, but I do like this location better. As I mentioned, their avocado toast and empanadas are good! That is all the food I have tried, but the pastries look healthy and delicious too. I'm so ecstatic there's a local family owned Cafe in the area. Parking might be a challenge but so far cars have been coming and going in the area. Beautiful aesthetic and a great meeting spot or even to study but you'd need some AirPods or headphones because conversations can echo. But lots of space inside and outside. The coffee and refreshment selection is great. I love the Vanilla Latte and pay a little extra for Oatmilk. I've ordered GreenTea Matcha before and both are tasty. I have yet to try the Soyrizo Burrito because they've ran out, but the Empanadas are excellent. The avocado toasts are perfect and filling. The staff is friendly and fast.
