    Iced salted maple latte
    Noriel O.

Came for the first time on a weekday before noon to grab a coffee and food with my mom. The place is super spacious and it has the modern decor, but it was packed in there with people studying or hanging out. It was really loud and overstimulating when we tried to sit at the stools near the bar. We ordered a drip coffee, ice salted maple and a couple of chicken empanadas. They had already sold out of the burrito and beef empanada which I really wanted to order. Maybe next time. The coffee was great, not too sweet. Empanadas were standard nothing too special. We ended up sitting outside which was super nice and way quieter. I think this is a nice coffee shop for the neighborhood. Maybe there other days where it's more calm & we can enjoy the inside. Hopefully they can be stocked with their popular food items past noon. It would great to have during lunch.

Really good vanilla latte!! Will be coming back again!

Coffee and matcha was amazing! Workers were quick and friendly. Outdoor chairs and tables was relaxing .

I absolutely love the Casita located in the Millennia community. The little Casita is so easy and convenient to get to. I feel like the parking and accessibility is perfect. I love the coffee. The vanilla bourbon latte is chef's kiss! The service is always great. They sometimes have pastries at the Casita, but if you want more breakfast options, you can go over to the big Casa right down the block. The Casita is perfect. It also has that cool machine that they can put fancy decorations on your lattes, so give it a try! Locally owned, Black woman owned in our community, and they're making great coffee at a better price, so it's just a no-brainer to support this business. Great coffee, great flavor, great experience.

I have to say that their bourbon vanilla latte is pretty special. It has assertive flavor from the bourbon vanilla, which imparts sweet and smoky flavors to the latte. Great option in Chula Vista for a latte!

My husband and I came here on Friday morning while we walked our dog. This shop is quite hidden from the main street, as it is located within the neighborhood. If you are driving, I would recommend parking in the lot near Common Theory and Sura BBQ. There are photos in the reviews for both locations, and this location is outdoors in a shipping crate on Optima St. If you're looking for the location with indoor seating with more coffee shop vibes, you'll need to visit their location on Metro Ave. I ordered the Café de Olla which was described to me as a brown sugar latte. This latte was definitely on the sweet side so if you like sweet drinks, this one is for you. However, I definitely underestimated how sweet it would be. The coffee itself was good and I liked that there was a strong coffee flavor. Though I don't think this is something I would order again due to it being extremely sweet. I had to water my drink down with ice to dilute the sweetness. For my next visit, I plan to order a latte without any sweetener. My husband ordered the cold brew but unfortunately they were out. The barista recommended the iced americano which was a great alternative. Prices are on par with the current prices around San Diego. There's a ton of seating so you can sit down and enjoy your coffee. I also saw they had some pastries but I didn't get a chance to try them. Overall a great shop and I love that it's located in the neighborhood.

I came here because I had seen it on social media. I wanted to get drinks with designer on it. I wonder if you have to ask for that- I don't mind paying extra for it. It was a very busy and there was a line. I came and grabbed drinks to try. I got the bourbon vanilla and the banana matcha. I really enjoyed the banana matcha- lots of flavor and loved the banana flavor. Actually now that I remember for the coffee I got the salted maple but it honestly kind of just tasted like vanilla. It was really good tho. Cute aesthetic. Good spot but limited parking. I parked by a park and walked a block and there was lots of parking there so not bad. In the pics I see a lot of photos of a blue like trailer- it's an actual building not a trailer. My mom really enjoyed it and she's not a big fan of coffee from coffee shops she prefers to make her own.

I haven't ordered a coffee from a cafe in years because of my tree nut allergy, but I decided to change that today! I called ahead and the lady I spoke to reassured me their coffees would be safe for me to drink. When I arrived, the person I spoke to was not there, but the three people inside were kind and patient. They allowed me to read the ingredients of their oat milk, and were careful to not use the stirrer they use in all drinks in my coffee. I safely enjoyed a delicious iced vanilla latte with oat milk!

The place is clean and big, contemporary design. I'm very particular with my coffee. I ordered large hot mocha with whole milk. It was served hot (. The chocolate in it was dark . The coffee was served with foamy design . In short, i'll definitely come back. My daughter ordered cinnamon roll and iced chocolate drink, she loves it. The staff are friendly and it was a fast service considering it was packed. My only issue is the parking. Very limited parking for a business area. But i will still come back cuz of the ambiance and the coffee itself. Support local non-comercialized coffee place.

This is the best coffee shop in Eastlake! This place is amazing! They just opened a new location with plenty of space and room. It has so many tables and chairs to sit and enjoy your coffee and food. It has inside seating and outside seating. They also sale merchandise! Beautiful flower bouquets. My fav drink so their vanilla bourbon iced lattee. It's delicious! Very unique flavor! Never had it before anywhere else. My another favorite drink is their matcha is very tasty and delicious. They also have hot food available. The avocado toast is to die for! And their casa de otay toast is even better. Customer service is amazing! Very friendly and polite employees! You have to try this place is a 10/10! Highly recommend it!

Finally, our neighborhood has a locally owned coffee shop! The moment you step inside, you're greeted by sleek, modern decor and a trendy, inviting atmosphere. Theres plenty of seating, making it the perfect spot to work or catch up with friend. There's also seating outside. Their menu is simple, featuring a variety of unique drinks. They offer seasonal specials like the lavender matcha! Favorite new place!

Iced matcha latte with soy milk and vanilla + iced latte with oat milk and honey

I'm happy that there is a little specialty type of coffee place in the area because I would much rather support small and local. I love the concept of a cargo container in the middle of the neighborhood! I got an iced matcha latte with soy milk and vanilla, and my boyfriend got the iced latte with oat milk and a little bit of honey. We went twice and the drinks were consistent and pretty good. We've had better coffee and matcha elsewhere, but this place definitely has some quality to it. I would like to try their special drinks and pastries, as well! I understand that during the summer it is hot and there is no A/C (but I'm hoping they have a fan in there), but the workers that I have encountered have been pleasant. I definitely plan to keep visiting!

Love a community coffee shop. The line wasn't bad at all and they have 4-6 seats to enjoy a morning coffee. I ordered - LATTE W/ ALMOND MILK, HONEY & CINNAMON: My go to, it was delicious!! Super flavorful even with almond milk. You can taste the quality :)

The staff was genuinely friendly, and we were able to find a seat inside without too much trouble. We expected a bit of a wait given how busy it was, but the timing ended up being a bit off. Our food arrived first--we had the avocado toast and the mini green chilaquiles. Both dishes were delicious, though the chilaquiles verdes leaned a little heavy on the garlic. (Seriously--hours later, even after brushing, lunch, and multiple rounds of mouthwash, that garlic flavor was still going strong.) We took our time eating, hoping the drinks would arrive, but they didn't come out until much later. We ordered a cappuccino and an iced churro latte. The cappuccino finally came out right as we finished eating--it tasted good, just a bit lukewarm. About five minutes later, the iced churro latte was ready, so we ended up taking it to go. That one was actually really good. Overall, the food and drinks were solid, and the staff made a great impression. I'd definitely like to come back and give it another shot. I love supporting small, locally owned businesses, and with a little adjustment to the flow--like pausing mobile orders during peak times or dedicating a team specifically to them--this place could really elevate the experience.

Each cup is smooth, well-balanced, and never overpowering. My husband and I both love ube, and Cafe 86 is known for its variety of ube desserts. It was fairly quiet when we visited on a Saturday afternoon. Since we had already eaten lunch, we decided to stop by for dessert. The inside was pretty nice -- I especially liked the lighting, which gave the place an industrial vibe. There were couches and tables for seating, making it feel comfortable overall. We were greeted by a younger employee who could've been a bit more energetic and welcoming. The dessert case also looked a little sparse and underwhelming. My husband ordered the Ube Monster shake, and I got the ube cheesecake. The shake was pretty good, though not as creamy as I expected, and I wished the ube flavor was stronger. The ube cheesecake, on the other hand, was fluffy and not overly sweet, which I really liked. It also had a thick cookie crust that was delicious. Still, I would've loved a more pronounced ube flavor in that as well. I'm a huge ube fan, and when I make ube desserts at home, I usually add extra flavoring to really make it stand out. Overall, I'd come back again. Next time, I definitely want to try the flan!

We parked and noticed nearly all the lights were off. The pastry cabinet was empty, the tables were taped off. But people were inside and customers were in line. Emotions and energy were low, it was quiet and dim vibes all around. We walk in and see just one man working the cashier and making the drinks. He looked puzzled, a bit lost. We get in line behind someone ordering 4+ drinks and see that this guy didn't really know how to make the drinks. He was misplacing the ingredients and wasn't fully confident operating the payment system. The back counter was cluttered with miscellaneous gadgets, appliances, and syrups. It took nearly 20 minutes for the customer in front of us to get from ordering to receiving their drinks and we just watched in slight awe. The guy was apologetic and upfront, he was trying his best in a bad situation. They made some small talk and hinted that they were closing due to supply chain disruptions in Hawaii. I feel for them and wish them well. The coffee itself was ok. Flavor was decent but somewhat unremarkable. They offer different caffeine levels, up to I think 400mg in a drink. I just got the 200mg coffee. Don't know if I just built a tolerance but I fell asleep right after. We did want a pastry but with the baked goods cabinet empty, we weren't sure what they had left to offer. There was a long sign listing everything sold out between the pastries and coffee flavors. Overall the experience was odd and left a slightly bitter emotional taste in my mouth. They've acknowledged that they weren't in the best condition at that point and I do feel unfair to judge them at their worst. If they turn it around, I'm opening to revisiting. But for now, I don't feel compelled to go out of my way for it.
