I was recently in the Imperial Beach area and stopped by Trident Coffee. I went with the breakfast burrito which was made with a Gluten Free Tortilla, eggs, sausage, cheese, hash browns, garlic, and onion. It was absolutely delicious. I really appreciated how the ingredients were chopped up really small. They also had chipotle mayo available on the side but I did not try that. For the coffee, I went with a decaf salted caramel mocha iced cold brew with oat milk, 15/10. So good. The service was great, the gals working at the register were so nice. In addition, the place was very clean. My total for the two items, including tax was $23.67. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely be stopping by. read more

A nice coffee place just outside of Chula Vista in Imperial Beach... Heading out early in the morning for meetings and usually drive out to the area early to have coffee somewhere and relax and check emails and do some work.... They do roast their own coffee and it wasn't too bad I do prefer a much lighter roast at times but I was fine with their coffee since it is better than the BUX.... Employees were nice and friendly...I tried a little of their Nitro Cold Brew as well and not bad (I'm not the biggest cold coffee drinker).... I do prefer hot coffee overall... My friend and I decided to visit while we were in IB and we have no regrets. Got here around 9:40 and it wasn't crowded and the staff were super nice! My friend's order was messed up and they remade it with no issues and were very apologetic. The coffee was good and the food was delicious! I love that you get to see the water from the shop. I ordered the midnight vietnamese and it was heaven! I was drawn to Trident for it's symbolism...totally makes sense that it's located by the beach. I'm a health conscious person and was glad to find out Trident Coffee uses health-enhancing ingredients to foster wellness. Thankfully, it wasn't too busy in this naturally lit spacious coffee shop when I arrived. The staff was friendly and patient with me since I was a first-timer. Trident's wide variety of coffee was really unique...especially the combination of coffee and tea. When I saw cognitive mushrooms as one of the functional lattes on the menu, I had to order it along with an acai bowl which suprisingly took a bit to make and noticed it was in a cup. Overall, positive vibes. I left empowered to live my life full steam ahead helping to realize their vision :-) If I'm in IB again, I'll go back for another nautical journey but the next time by trying their popular nitro cold brew. A friend introduced me to this place, and I decided to stop by after a doctor's appointment in the area. The staff here has always been cool. The first time I came here I tried the flight which was amazing, and today I went with a cold brew and a keto friendly empanada. I love places that have keto-friendly options. The vibe here is super chill being next to a gym and a bike spot. I see a lot of riders congregate here. I've never had an issue with parking, and there's a dedicated spot for Trident customers. El Capitan (super dark taste) 4 daily rations (for true sailors) Additional to that I had the following food: 1. Matcha/ strawberry donut (vegan non-protein) Very soft donut with a creamy frosting that covers the top and a very enjoyable morning breakfast or dessert. 2. Breakfast burrito Great mixture of egg and cheese. That's great for anybody. 3. Bacon, egg and cheese empanada Flavorful crust packed with bacon, egg and cheese. That's easily shareable since everyone wood want a bite. To top it all off is in an amazing area close to the beach, walking distance from a small kids playground and a beautiful view. Trident deserves another 5 stars from me, they have improved since my last visit! They have a variety of cold brew selections, cold brew specialty drinks, espresso drinks, and even functional drinks. I got the mexican mocha with oat milk and it was delicious! The chocolate flavor was so delectable and worked well with the cold brew. They have upped their pastry selection! I got a lemon poppy protein donut (which they told us has 22-26g of protein!) and a keto bacon and egg empanada. The empanada had flavorful seasoning. Usually keto pastries aren't my favorite since there's no carbs but theirs was pretty good! The unique pastry selection and delicious cold brew sets them apart from other places. My friend recommended this place and right off rip I can tell this will be a regular stop for me. The shop itself is so serene and has plenty of seating. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. I live down the street, I have come here several times, I will continue to come here all the time. The place itself is kind of small, but they make it very spacious. There's a couple cute couches and a couple chairs and tables (with outlets). Outside, the beautiful air and sun, overlooking the water- perfect if you wanna get some fresh air. It's chilly, bring a sweater if you're hanging out outside. The coffee and pastry options are always all so cool, fun, and delicious. This place is known for it's nitro and specialty cold brews. There is a bike trail at the corner with a nice ride along silver strand. There is cool merchandise for purchase and cold brew in cans to go. There is a wide variety of cold brews and lattes available, as well as delicious pastries. The prices are decent and what you expect to pay. The workers are very helpful, friendly, and make the visit a positive one. The protein donuts here are bomb! They are moist, fresh, and pair well with their cold brews. I love their hot and cold lattes, and the cold brews have great flavors. My favorite donut is their coffee cake and the horchata latte is on point. I have a few t-shirts and the material is soft and comfy. I love the Trident logo, and the designs of their shirts. They give a 10% military/LE discount and dog friendly.
