I went with the breakfast burrito which was made with a Gluten Free Tortilla, eggs, sausage, cheese, hash browns, garlic, and onion. It was absolutely delicious. I really appreciated how the ingredients were chopped up really small. They also had chipotle mayo available on the side but I did not try that. For the coffee, I went with a decaf salted caramel mocha iced cold brew with oat milk, 15/10. So good. The service was great, the gals working at the register were so nice. In addition, the place was very clean. My total for the two items, including tax was $23.67. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely be stopping by. read more

Stick to what I know. They have great cold brew. Today I wanted to try the Cortado and it was a miss. Both my friend and I got one and they were bitter and burnt tasting. The place was jampacked to be fair due to bike the bay, but the service was still great. The ambience was very chaotic and we did not stay long because of that. I was drawn to Trident for it's symbolism...totally makes sense that it's located by the beach. I'm a health conscious person and was glad to find out Trident Coffee uses health-enhancing ingredients to foster wellness. Thankfully, it wasn't too busy in this naturally lit spacious coffee shop when I arrived. The staff was friendly and patient with me since I was a first-timer. Trident's wide variety of coffee was really unique...especially the combination of coffee and tea. When I saw cognitive mushrooms as one of the functional lattes on the menu, I had to order it along with an acai bowl which suprisingly took a bit to make and noticed it was in a cup. Overall, positive vibes. I left empowered to live my life full steam ahead helping to realize their vision :-) If I'm in IB again, I'll go back for another nautical journey but the next time by trying their popular nitro cold brew. A friend introduced me to this place, and I decided to stop by after a doctor's appointment in the area. The staff here has always been cool. The first time I came here I tried the flight which was amazing, and today I went with a cold brew and a keto friendly empanada. I love places that have keto-friendly options. El Capitan (super dark taste) 4 daily rations (for true sailors) Additional to that I had the following food: 1. Matcha/ strawberry donut (vegan non-protein) Very soft donut with a creamy frosting that covers the top and a very enjoyable morning breakfast or dessert. 2. Breakfast burrito Great mixture of egg and cheese. That's great for anybody. 3. Bacon, egg and cheese empanada Flavorful crust packed with bacon, egg and cheese. Trident deserves another 5 stars from me, they have improved since my last visit! They have a variety of cold brew selections, cold brew specialty drinks, espresso drinks, and even functional drinks. I got the mexican mocha with oat milk and it was delicious! The chocolate flavor was so delectable and worked well with the cold brew. They have upped their pastry selection! I got a lemon poppy protein donut (which they told us has 22-26g of protein!) and a keto bacon and egg empanada. The empanada had flavorful seasoning. Usually keto pastries aren't my favorite since there's no carbs but theirs was pretty good! The unique pastry selection and delicious cold brew sets them apart from other places. First time trying this place and wow... I'm honestly mad at myself for not coming sooner. I got the Old Fashioned cold foam cold brew and it was super good -- the bourbon flavor really comes through in a good way, and the caramel and vanilla balance it all out perfectly. The shop itself is spacious and really welcoming. They've got merch, plenty of seating inside, and a patio with a great view of the South Bay. If you walk the trail behind the building you can catch a beautiful view of the Coronado Bridge, Downtown, part of Coronado, and even the salt mines in Chula Vista. But honestly, the highlight of the visit was the barista, Xavier. He was super helpful, walked me through the different cold brews, and helped me pick the right drink without making it complicated. I live down the street, I have come here several times, I will continue to come here all the time. The place itself is kind of small, but they make it very spacious. There's a couple cute couches and a couple chairs and tables (with outlets). Outside, the beautiful air and sun, overlooking the water- perfect if you wanna get some fresh air. It's chilly, bring a sweater if you're hanging out outside. The coffee and pastry options are always all so cool, fun, and delicious. This place is known for it's nitro and specialty cold brews. There is a wide variety of cold brews and lattes available, as well as delicious pastries. The prices are decent and what you expect to pay. The workers are very helpful, friendly, and make the visit a positive one. The protein donuts here are bomb! They are moist, fresh, and pair well with their cold brews.
