This Location has amazing coffee and better (buzz) coffee. Malaya is a joy behind the counter and a great rep of this company.

Best cafe ever!!!! Was pretty overwhelmed by the big menu but the manager?? Helped walked me through it. Best drink ever!! read more

Just left better buzz. Expectations were already low. Been here once and wasn't great. Hi, can we have an açaí bo-- sorry we don't have that Can we have a fig jams sandwich- no we don't have that What type of milk is in a horchata cowl brew?-- it's premade. Okkkkk so what kind of milk is in it? -- rice milk. Things that all could have been offered and suggested if items are out of stock. A simple customer service skill to problem solve and sell. PERIOD. No napkins, a plain sandwich toasted on ONE side. Not your best Better Buzz read more

We came in to get some coffee and light bites during this visit. Once we saw the huge drive thru line, we opted to go in. It's a cute spot with plenty of parking and pretty spacious inside with tons of seating and photo opps. We got in line and just tried to navigate the menu a bit since we had roughly a 10-15 min wait while they rushed to get caught up on orders (to go, drive thru, online). They let us know this and did apologize. After some time, we got to place an order: Carnitas and roasted pepper egg bites, Nitro cold brew, and a Killer Bee. We got almost all of our stuff in quick time (Nitro Cold Brew and the egg bites)/under 10 minutes. But as we were waiting, we saw more people come up and order, few people that were there from when we arrived and got their orders, and we also checked around to see how many people seemed to get their orders almost immediately. My husband ordered the Killer Bee and it wasn't until we realized almost 20 minutes had passed that we inquired about the drink. I'm not sure if it was forgotten or what (all of the items we ordered had around the same time stamp. But literally they made it on demand after my husband inquired about the drink (basically a redeye with a different name). So, this rating would've really been: 4 stars for the food and coffee drinks (delicious egg bites full of flavor with the carnitas and bell peppers) 1.5 stars averaged out for the service (the food and my Nitro cold brew + the delayed time of the Killer Bee/redeye. I saw that possibly ordering ahead online may be the way to go, but judging by the wait times some guests had, it seems like it was slightly quicker by ordering online. I'd probably be willing to give this location another chance if I'm in the area in the future, just to see if they would've improved or changed in certain areas highlighted in my review. read more

I have been really wanting a banana coffee so I decided to come try this place out. Very busy on a Sunday morning, took about 25 min from start to finish in drive through. I ordered the best banana pudding drink. Hardly any banana flavor, honestly was subpar, the coffee itself is delicious tasted so fresh. I probably won't be back. read more

I love Better Buzz but didn't have a great experience today. I went inside to get a drink for my daughter. I pointed to the new cookies and cream promotion and told the girl at register I wanted to try that out. So I ordered what was on the photo - well, so I thought. I was waiting for a long time, so finally someone asked me my name. Come to find out they completely forgot about my order. I was wondering why so many employees were standing around chatting amongst each other & drinking personal drinks....and nobody was calling my name. So I knew something was wrong. So anyway the girl starts to make my drink like 20 minutes later. She hands me a watery blended drink with an oreo that sank to the bottom immediately. it didn't look like a well made drink with proper ratios. I asked her if it came with whip cream like the photo and she gave me a blank stare and said "you need to order that next time". And didnt even offer to give me whip cream on top for waiting so long. They forgot about my order and then had the audacity to give me a watered down blended drink. Horrible service at the end. Plus, the place was dirty with trash on the floors near tables. read more

Ordered ahead and picked up inside, thank goodness because the drive-thru line was down the street. Got the Caramel Buzz with oatmilk. Sweet and creamy, but tasted like a typical caramel blended drink...good, just not super memorable if I'm being honest. The cheese danish was pretty and tasted pretty good, but not my fav. Soft, slightly sweet and had a hint of lemon. Staff inside were extremely nice, super joyful and welcoming and they had really cute apparel too. Quick, easy stop...just order ahead. And maybe I'll order other items next time. read more

Just checked out the new Better Buzz Coffee Roasters location and they absolutely nailed it. First off, the space feels fresh, clean, and super welcoming. You can tell a lot of thought went into the layout and the vibe. It already feels like one of those spots that's going to become a go to for the neighborhood. Food and drinks were on point. I usually go with the Better Breakfast Sandwich and it did not disappoint. Great flavor, cooked right, and actually filling without being heavy. Paired it with the lavender blueberry lemonade refresher, which sounds a little out there but is honestly one of the best drinks on the menu. Super refreshing and not overly sweet. What really stood out though was the team. Service was fast, friendly, and just genuinely positive. Nancy is doing an incredible job leading this crew. You can feel the energy and organization the moment you walk in. Huge shoutout to Malaya and Keanu. Both brought great energy, were attentive, and made the experience feel personal while keeping everything running smoothly even during busy moments. For a brand new location, this place is already operating like it's been here for years. Definitely worth stopping in if you're anywhere near Imperial Beach. read more

I really enjoyed my visit to this new Better Buzz in Imperial Beach, San Diego. The employees were hoot and friendly. It was April 1st and they were not short of April Fools jokes. I had the Feta Avocado Toast Deluxe with cortado. I was skeptical at first on the cortado, because the last time I ordered a cortado at the Better Buzz, they made me a cappuccino. This was a touch heavy on the foam but much better than the previous one. This just had a thin layer of foam and a great 50/50 ratio underneath. The espresso had a great robust flavor and was smooth to drink. Well done. The avocado toast was good. Although I prefer freshly sliced avocados, the avocado spread the place on this toast is pretty good. The thick cut multi-grain bread is quite good. The toast came with sliced cherry tomatoes, crumbled up feta cheese, and butter on the bread. It is perfect for a light breakfast or lunch. Like I said, the employees were quite the festive bunch. They are all very welcoming and friendly. They offer good conversation if you engage them. This location has a large inside and outside dining area. and a well organized drive thru with employees helping things along. read more

The highlight Imperial Beach needed! Brand new location with all the cute decor and aesthetics that all Better Buzz spots have. I'm so so so happy they opened this location, it really brings the right vibe to IB. We went on a Saturday morning and it was PACKED! Drive through had cars lined up on the street so we opted to park and go inside. I'm glad we did! I was captivated by the banana bread and ordered a slice it was delicious! They even warmed it up Drink selection is awesome and ALWAYS tasty [this review was written in connection with a Toast promotion] read more

this is a cute store with loads of seating indoors and outdoors! love the variety of specialty drinks, merch, and pastries. the banana pudding best drink ever was delicious! we also got the horchata latte, but it was too sweet. the latte tasted more like cold brew and the best drink ever (cold brew) tasted more like a latte. however, the flavors were unique and fun, and they're a good sweet treat post bike ride along the beach read more

Two weeks ago I came in and waited five minutes for someone at the register to acknowledge me, then after ordering coffee, I realize there was a group of people waiting with their arms crossed. I walked out without my coffee because I couldn't wait 15 more minutes for something that takes 10 seconds to make, an iced coffee. Weeks later, I came back, and tried to park my car in the back parking lot. They had put a sign and cones out in the public street, to create some kind of drive-through queue. Because the cones were too tight to the curb, my Fiat 500, a small car, could not squeeze between the cone and the curb. I popped a tire on the curb which now cost me $250 to replace and three hours out of my Saturday. There's absolutely no reason for cones and signs to force people into hitting a curb. read more

We had a large order for our large family and appreciate the patience rotating through each member's desires. The food was delicious and fresh. Each item was reasonably priced and I felt especially surprised to see that drinks could be made with varying degrees of sweetness. (A sign was placed on the pastries case). I had the Avo toast and Moroccan-spiced ice coffee. Yum! The restaurant and restrooms were clean and properly maintained. We noted an outdoor area for seating but needed the tables to accommodate the children. I'd definitely return to try more! read more

Great Customer service! Alissa was very helpful and kind. The coffee is fantastic and the vibes are great!

My wife and I ordered separately she ordered a turkey sandwich hours a ham and cheese croissant and a pastry strawberry cream my croiisant burnt. My pastry dried out hard as hell and a smear of jelly. hers barely had two little slices of turkey. Both horrible. since they opened when everything was wonderful they have gone downhill. I left a voicemail and a text message on my app and got no response for making it up so we will never be back. Goin cheap and zwro quality control. read more

Great, friendly service. My order was made quickly and tasted great! Perfect for grabbing coffee and breakfast on the way to the beach.

LOVE how close this location is to my house. I come here at least once a week. Drive through is usually quick w/ good service. They've been short staffed a couple times I've been here, but they do the best they can. I make sure to give them grace and tip them extra. My go to Hazelnut Divinity has always been delicious. The only time I've been given a drink I didn't like, the manager was quick to offer an alternative at no extra charge. I will continue to visit this location. read more

While I do enjoy their drinks, the customer service at this location is insane. I ordered ahead since their line takes insanely long and went inside to pick up. I stood at the cashier while workers frantically worked in front of me and no one acknowledges me. I see they're busy but it's also awkward to be standing there so long and so close (facing each other 2-3 feet away) with them purposely not looking up to ignore me. A lined formed and at no point did anyone say "hey I'll be right with you" or "are you picking up a drink? What's your name?" etc. I had stood there for 15 minutes while other people came and left with their drinks before I decided to ask a worker if a drink that had been sitting behind the counter was mine- and it was. No apology. No greeting. No smile. And I even tipped on the app! This was the final straw for me. I'd get McDonald's coffee before I came here again. read more

Unfortunately it's always a hit or miss... wish it was more consistent. Ordered a best drink ever and received black coffee.. ordered a late and it was half empty. I love better buzz. Tried this location for the first time this morning. My coffee tasted great as usual. The blonde male barista that took my order in the drive through was not very kind and seemed unenthusiastic. When I asked if I could give my phone number for the reward program and asked if I could wait until the end of the order to give it to him. He then asked my name and order twice and never asked for my phone number again. The woman that took my payment at the window was nice enough to add my phone number for me. Service was also slower expect since there was only a few cars ahead. There is also a large pot hole or dip in the drive through that can really cause damage to cars that should be addressed. read more

I really don't want to write this, but since it was for my supervisor, I'm frustrated. I ordered an açaí bowl and received this instead. My coworkers went afterward to show me what it should have looked like. I spent $50 plus a tip, and I wish I had seen this before tipping. This happened on Wednesday, August 12. My neighbor in Coronado who works on base around the corner from this location just told me he had a bad experience as well with the time receiving his food. read more

The new Better Buzz just made Imperial Beach complete (well, if we could make the water clean so we could surf regularly, THAT would make IB complete). We now have the perfect mix of old IB and newer/modern spots in town. Was in with the family and the experience was exceptional. Keanu and team were friendly, fast, and answered all our questions with patience. There's lots of options on the menu board - sometimes too much for a non-regular - so don't be afraid to ask about milk modifiers, getting things 1/3 sweet, 1/4 sweet, etc. read more

I stopped by before work and Alyssa provided excellent customer service. Also the coffee was great! Better Buzz W

Went to this location and the drive thru was out to the street, so I decided to walk in. I went to the counter and none of the employees acknowledged me. I said good morning to one of the baristas and still wasn't asked if I needed help. I waited patiently for 4 minutes and still none offered any assistance. I know they were busy, but not one employee even looked my way. I walked out and went to McDonalds across the street. I have been to better buzz in several locations and have had awesome service. The imperial beach location looked like a sweat shop because no one behind the counter had a smile on their face. Looks like quantity over quality at this location. read more

I went in and couldn't believe how clean it was and the vibe of the cafe. Folks were hanging out, laughing. A real hang out spot!
