The barista (I think his name was Ramsey) was a really cool dude and the iced coffee (the stash) was delicious. I'll be back for sure. I'm always for support your local coffee shops, especially this one.

Ramsey, who is the barista today was way too nice. He's so friendly and I love that he had me tried to drink before I left for any adjustments. perfect pick me up after yoga.

I came in debating on getting coffee, but luckily, the barista, Alex, let me know they have just a LITTLE bit of matcha left & influenced me to get what I really wanted. He also let me know I can add flavors to it, which I added banana and it was delicious! The chorizo potato burrito was also really good too. I had to knock off a star due to the parking situation because I was driving around multiple times before I found a spot and luckily I had some coins with me to pay! But other than that, I had a great experience and I will be going back! TikTok: m.Albright IG: rs.albright

I was looking for a coffee place to get my mom and I coffee while she was doing bloodwork nearby. We both hadn't eaten any breakfast (I had not eaten in solidarity since she had to fast lol) so I found Dame Mas Cafeina. I am all about small businesses and anything Chican@/Latin@ owned so needless to say the pink and name won me over!" To my surprise ..this cute coffee shop surpassed my expectations. The owner i forgot his name (dammit) lol ..Was so nice! I learned from a "regular" that it's part of the family (wife's salon) business! Thats what you call a power couple! I got the iced mazapan latte and ordered the Samoa for my mom! I also ordered a chorizo and papas burrito...which was stupid because my mom was like..."where's mine?" To which i replied...well I didnt know if they were going to be good... lol Stupid. Because spoiler alert ..they were lol ... and I only had one that we had to share. I love finding these types of places ...raza ..go check them out ... Cute little hole in the wall with good music, vibes and corazon making your cafecito. ...and yes..SD based ....go Pads! Happy helping mis amigos.

I have now been a regular here since November of last year. If you stop by sometime you will most likely see me on a stool a few times a week in the morning. That's because Ramsey is not only a great barista but also an all around good guy. He'll remember your drink. Ask you how your day is going. Crack some jokes. Oh and he will also pull a mean espresso shot. His featured menu is creative and changes with the season. Even though I'm a black coffee kinda guy, I have tried several of his drinks. All are hits. The Buh-nana is the most popular. The Love Bird is the newest edition in his arsenal and has become my go-to when I feel like having some sweetness. He also makes a great matcha with a variety of flavors. Ask him about the Cumberland. My ultimate, every visit drink though is the Whipped Iced Americano(secret menu item). The first time I stopped by I ask for an iced black coffee or cold brew. He asked me if I ever tried a whipped Americano. Of I hadn't. His next words were just "I got you." Life changer. 5/5 stars. Try it out. See you there.

Great little coffee shop off 3rd street in Chula Vista. Metered parking right out front. Can pay with coins or I think there's a QR code to pay online. If u don't want to pay for parking and don't mind walking a few blocks. You can park in the parking garage located behind THe Gym. Not too sure but there might be some free street parking if u drive around but I just pay the meter. Ramsey owns the coffee shop and I think his wife owns the hair salon it's attached to. So you can get your hair done and grab coffee too. Great customer service by Ramsey- he remembers you and your order. If there's something you want, not on the menu- just ask as he can probably make it or offer something similar. There's a little seating area. One size cup for the coffee, great price. Def recommend this place.

    Cortado and Soyrizo Burrito
    Jack M.

This is a cool little coffee spot. The main building is a salon and in front is a small coffee shop. It is run by a husband and a wife team. I had a small cortado and a couple of items to eat from local vendors. I had a small soyrizo breakfast burrito from Nando's Shot Box and a local empanada baker. The cortado was good. It smooth up front with a slight bitterness towards the end. The soyrizo breakfast at $4 was a skinny burrito. It was tasty, but I would recommend less potato and more soyrizo and eggs. The empanadas were good, too. The cheese and jalapeno one was good, but more peppers inside mixed with the cheese would have been grand. The ground beef and potato empanada were very tasty, too. The meat inside was well seasoned. The exterior of both empanadas was crispy. The gent, Ramsey, was very nice and offered pleasant small talk. They offer a small amount of seating outside.

    Chai Latte
    Estefanía C.

First and foremost this chai latte was not good :/ I completely understand wanting to be environmentally friendly but to serve a latte without a lid is just not efficient in my opinion. How am i supposed to drive without spilling my latte? Plus labeling the plastic cups and lids as "not eco friendly" is also just making your customers feel guilty. How about considering environmentally friendly lids instead of putting the blame on us. There are a lot large corporations contributing to the increase in carbon emissions and im sure a lid isn't going to significantly contribute to it. Lastly, I thought it would be cool to support a latinx business pero yall don't take cash which i find a bit classist. This is next to a hair salon and the ambiance just isn't there. It's in an awkward spot and looks more like a small pop up coffee shop.

I was walking my dog and decided to try this cute coffee café which I've never patronized before. I believe I arrived during their setup to get started for the day. I met Ramsey, the cafe's owner, who prepared my espresso shot. We had great conversation and they really have a nice spot there! I can't wait to return, and maybe grab a pastry the next time I stop by. My espresso was DELICIOUS! Service and hospitality were great! And the café is on my dog walk! I believe I've become a regular after this morning. Kudos to Ramsey & Dame Más Cafeína!!! If visiting Fri-Sun, and they still have any empanadas available, definitely order some! I had my first one today and it was AMAZING!!!

The biggest flex of this place is the fact they had a dj playing music the moment you step in. I already knew this place was going to be fun because of this reason. Chili Crisp Bacon, Egg, and Cheese (4/5) Nice and light for a breakfast option. Not too heavy, which I appreciate. The sauce adds a nice flavor profile to the sandwich. I just wish the sandwich had a little more of the chili crisp so I could taste it in the meal and really bring the whole thing together. But still a great option and tasted delicious regardless. Tater Tots (5/5) Tasty and crunchy. There's a specific seasoning to the tater tots that really elevates the flavor, but i can't pinpoint. Really pairs well with any dish that you order from this place, really! Highly recommend and would come back the next time I'm in the SD area!

Despite no cold foam it was still over 8$ plus tip ended up being 10$ for a small matcha. It was delicious, but the whole cup was filled with ice i barely had much to drink. IMO no matcha is worth 10$, especially when you run out of a main ingredient (cold foam) and barely any drink. I typically like to get hot drinks for this reason, unfortunately that wasn't an option Probably won't be back, way overpriced for what you get

Lets talk about the vibes first...amazing decor and vibes, decor and walls and atmosphere is very cool and unique I truly love it so much. The staff is very nice, offering suggestions on drinks with big smiles and welcoming energy. Now the drinks and food: the drink I got last time was an iced mocha (no picture but I remember it was very good). This time I went with my mom and we both got the "Moon" drink.. a Chai/Matcha which was such a good drink, I want like a 40oz of it to take with me home for the week. I also ordered the pesto turkey sandwhich to share and I can not express how good this was. Perfectly crispy, juicy and fresh. Took the first bite and literally gasped because not only was the bread toasted to perfection but the veggies and turkey were so flavorful. The veggies and pesto and turkey were also layered in a way that made every bite delectable and that to me is art. Loved it, want more of it and I WILL be back to try more drinks and sandwhiches.

It's third ave I mean if you are from San Diego you know it's either neighborhood parking or the meters. Not a big deal though. I am greeted by Karely and her big smile, one of the baristas. It is tiny location but long, they have two gender neutral bathrooms at the end. A few tables to sit down inside and out. A cute bench with the view of third ave traffic. Interior decor is super cute I loved, one of my favs was this board they have which is a basically you pay a coffee forward and you put the sticky there for the next person to get their drink. I totally don't work there so I would just reconfirm what can be redeemed. Drink: I get an iced dirty chai WITH banana cold foam. 10/10 must try. They also offer matcha for you matcha lovers. Grind house has found a new customer and yes, I've already brought so many friends here. My only suggestion would be to maybe have a phone charging station, that's all! :)

The staff was genuinely friendly, and we were able to find a seat inside without too much trouble. We expected a bit of a wait given how busy it was, but the timing ended up being a bit off. Our food arrived first--we had the avocado toast and the mini green chilaquiles. Both dishes were delicious, though the chilaquiles verdes leaned a little heavy on the garlic. (Seriously--hours later, even after brushing, lunch, and multiple rounds of mouthwash, that garlic flavor was still going strong.) We took our time eating, hoping the drinks would arrive, but they didn't come out until much later. We ordered a cappuccino and an iced churro latte. The cappuccino finally came out right as we finished eating--it tasted good, just a bit lukewarm. About five minutes later, the iced churro latte was ready, so we ended up taking it to go. That one was actually really good. Overall, the food and drinks were solid, and the staff made a great impression. I'd definitely like to come back and give it another shot. I love supporting small, locally owned businesses, and with a little adjustment to the flow--like pausing mobile orders during peak times or dedicating a team specifically to them--this place could really elevate the experience.

My husband and I both love ube, and Cafe 86 is known for its variety of ube desserts. It was fairly quiet when we visited on a Saturday afternoon. Since we had already eaten lunch, we decided to stop by for dessert. The inside was pretty nice -- I especially liked the lighting, which gave the place an industrial vibe. There were couches and tables for seating, making it feel comfortable overall. We were greeted by a younger employee who could've been a bit more energetic and welcoming. The dessert case also looked a little sparse and underwhelming. My husband ordered the Ube Monster shake, and I got the ube cheesecake. The shake was pretty good, though not as creamy as I expected, and I wished the ube flavor was stronger. The ube cheesecake, on the other hand, was fluffy and not overly sweet, which I really liked. It also had a thick cookie crust that was delicious. Still, I would've loved a more pronounced ube flavor in that as well. I'm a huge ube fan, and when I make ube desserts at home, I usually add extra flavoring to really make it stand out. Overall, I'd come back again. Next time, I definitely want to try the flan!

Maybe I could have asked but what made it challenging was that the menu did not clearly show everything they had to offer or it was hard to decipher which price went with what item.
