Coffee is really good and the girls that work there are sweet. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you have somewhere to be or on a time crunch. I went on a Friday morning about 9 am and waited 40 minutes for 2 coffees. Hopefully they are able to come up with a better system because it was just too long of a wait. read more

amazing drinks. every single drink was so good. the matcha itself was really good but the flavor we got overpowered the matcha but i still really enjoyed the taste. you could tell the matcha was good quality too. the coffee itself was so yummy. the flavors we got complimented the coffee really well. the cookie butter latte was my favorite and the marzapan was so good. there were marzapan pieces in the drink so could use a bigger straw to get the chunks. the cloud foam was so good in the cookie butter latte and would recommend for every coffee. the service was good. the cashier was so kind and i found out from my friend that it was actually the owner. she was patient with us and even the customer before answering all our questions and even giving suggestions. shoutout for the cloud foam suggestion because it made the drink even more delicious. the store itself is so cute. i love the chalkboard menu and the variety of seating. very cute place and would definitely come back! read more

I've been back to this place twice since my first time which has been less than a month. I drive a good 25 minutes on the freeway to get here. First experience with service was okay. I still love the tiramisu iced coffee. Second time I tried the mazapán and was not a fan it was super sweet to me. Third time, which was today the iced horchata. It was just barely okay. I brought my daughter and her fried here. Sat for a while trying to drink the iced horchata. I was not satisfied so I went to the counter and asked for some cold foam to add some taste. The worker looked at me like she was confused. I told her I needed to add cold foam showing my cup 3/4 full of my drink. At that point , to me a good barista would ask any kind of question..if I liked it or if she could remake it. She literally looked at me like I was a problem. No questions from her about my full drink that I brought to the counter. I paid $2 for cold foam because I was unsatisfied with my drink. Which I'm okay with, but the service was just not there. I've been here three times, the service is barely mediocre. I don't get the super friendly sweet service others say they get in reviews. I've had three different iced coffees here and love only one so far, which is the tiramisu. Tiramisu 5/5 Mazapán 2/5 Horchata 2/5 Service really needs improvement . So underwhelmed with customer service, I'd rather try other coffee spots and support small businesses. read more

I was not a fan of my drink. I got the strawberry horchata latte and it did not meet my expectations. The drink was basically a shot of coffee, whole milk, cinnamon powder, and strawberry syrup. It also was way too sweet. There is also a surcharge for credit card transactions. I will do not recommend and will not be coming back. read more

The Coffee Machine - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Chula Vista, California

I've came here a few times due to me going next door to the Empanada spot & it's a cool ok little Coffee shop. It's a local owned business & many people like it & should continue to support it. As for me it was just ok but everyone is different in their likings of Coffee, they do use Mexican beans which is cool. To me the cold coffees were a bit too sweet, not bad but just to sweet for my liking so if you have diabetes make sure to shoot up your insulin that morning to be on the safe side & you should be ok, I'm kidding, kind of. And I'm a big fan of Cafe De Olla but I wasn't a fan of how theirs tasted. The customer service is really nice, tho at times it can be a bit of a wait especially on weekends but they are friendly. The place is real clean & has a cool, chill vibe with seats inside & outside. The drinks were nothing special but not bad either I'll still pop in here & there & hopefully find a drink I like. Some people do love this place & if you are one of them good for you & continue to support them. Might try that Horchata cold drink next. read more

The Coffee Machine - Cookie butter was nice & iced white mocha with banana soft top - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Chula Vista, California

Had been hearing a lot of good things from people about this coffee shop and as a coffee anytbing lover I finally was able to make it out to try it. Drinks were so good! They had the option of adjusting your sweetness level which I liked. Most places when you order substitute milk you can taste how weird and different it makes the drink and here? could've fooled me that there was regular milk because it was so balanced. The mazapan was perfectly sweet and strong, I loved that there were mazapan pieces inside. The Mex-Mocha was also surprisingly good, usually its a very universal flavor no matter what coffee shop you go to but here it was unique and still the same flavor you know and love. The place itself is cute, I enjoyed the minimalistic/nature vibes. There is a bit of seating inside and some outside. The staff was helpful and ready to help make any suggestions suggestion. I cant wait to come back and have some of their other drinks read more

The vibes inside are really cute, they had specialty flavors for February and even decorated the inside with some hearts. The workers were also very nice but unfortunately I think I'll skip this place the next time I'm craving matcha. First, from the color it looks like the matcha might not be super fresh and it's more of a dull, brownish green. The matcha also didn't really have much flavor and tasted very watered down. It also didn't seem like it was mixed in very well since the drink was a bit gritty and I had to keep stirring it since there would be sediment on the bottom. My boyfriend got an americano and he said that was pretty good though! The pastries inside also look pretty yummy so I might try that if I come back. read more

It's very nice to see this young husband and wife team expanding their dream. Their second coffee shop: "The Coffee Machine" has recently opened up in Chula Vista. I did not have my ordinary cortado this time, but a matcha latte with a touch of honey and a cuernito de azucar. I ordered the matcha hot and it was excellent. They did not have honey so they put a touch of brown sugar to offset the bitterness of the matcha. The matcha was smooth and rich in matcha flavor, not to mention pretty, too. The cuernitos eas very good, too. It had a good flavor. I do recommend they acquire a heating element to warm up the pan dulces. The matcha was great and I can't wait to try their cortado here. The service was very friendly and inviting. They offer inside and outside seating. They offer a variety of espresso based beverages and teas. It's great to see a small business like this one expanding. read more

What can I say besides a such an awesome add to the Chula Vista area!!! So many great choices and my favorite is the Irish crème coco latte! It's so good that me and my toddler became daily customers ! He is a fan of the chocolate milk- - I do wish they would consider having smaller cups for little ones- although there is a white cup that's smaller they do say they would charge me the same - but overall such a great place!!! And great service ! Very welcoming I must say ! read more

I'm a fan! My sister and I came to The Coffee Machine last week and had a great experience. Our drinks came out super quickly - I had their seasonal cookie butter latte, while my sister tried their strawberry matcha. Both drinks were tasty, and we liked that they gave us an option to reduce the sugar and ice levels. The shop itself is spacious and feels very modern. There's a lot of parking too, which is a huge plus. We will definitely be back! read more

* Spacious spot * Great parking (huge plus for this location!) * Outdoor tables *Great service Finally came out to try this spot and it was packed, but we patiently waited outside on their cute tables. John was super helpful and made the experience even better. We wanted to try their most popular drink, so we ordered the Mazapán coffee such a great choice! I loved that they have a sweetness meter so you can customize it to your taste. We also wanted a caffeine-free option, and John recommended the strawberry milk tea, which was also delicious. Definitely a must-try spot in Chula Vista! read more

The Coffee Machine - Choco tiramisú latte with cold foam - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Chula Vista, California

Coffee Machin is a great addition to the area. I ordered the café de olla and it was excellent you can really taste the difference knowing they make their syrup in-house. I love the location too, especially being right next to the empanada spot. Makes it an easy stop if you're grabbing bites and coffee with friends. The shop itself is sleek, modern, and very clean a nice place to hang out and actually enjoy your drink. Service was outstanding. The girl behind the counter was super sweet, helpful, and welcoming, which always makes the experience better. Really glad this spot is here. We need more places like this for casual hangs and good coffee. I'll definitely be back. read more

I have been passing by and wanting to check this place out for some time. I finally made it was WORTH the wait! The coffee is freshly ground, service was exceptional, Danna was amazing and friendly. The Mexican Mocha latte is HEAVENLY! Omg! There is no bathroom (that I saw) so working from there may not be an option for some, but there is adequate space and tables inside and outside for working and enjoying your coffee! percent recommend!!!! read more

Great place to grab coffee and more. Service s excellent, vibe is a hidden gem of Chula Vista. Iykyk Worth the trip.

Place is pretty small so not much seating room but perfect to grab and go. Menu is pretty broad but not overwhelming. The coffee is good and you can alter the sweetness level which is perfect. Chai was not my favorite and service can be a bit slow because they're so busy so be patient! Specially on a weekend. read more

Usually never the type to leave a review, let alone a negative one. I've been a regular customer at the Coffee Machine, ever since they' started on Palm Avenue. I visited today 09/05 in the morning with my sister, as we always do as this is one of our regular & favorite spots. We decided to try their new fall menu as we both love pumpkin drinks. Unfortunately, we both didn't care at all for the drink we ordered. It had a very bitter, battery-like taste to it. I approached the cashier very kindly even mentioning I hate to be the person to ask for a remake but we both didn't like the drink at all and honestly couldn't even fake it to drink it, let alone enjoy it. The cashier refused a remake, and even said it was our fault for letting it sit out too long.. mind you it was less than 5 minutes as we visited the liquor store next door to quickly grab just a chocolate milk. It's disappointing that after being a loyal customer for past 2 years, they handled this situation very poorly, especially after spending $23 on two drinks & 1 bread. It truly could've been a quick fix, and more importantly handled with kindness, understanding, and overall better customer service. They definitely lost 2 loyal customers after the way this situation was handled. read more

They were busy, but we got out of there in plenty of time. They were also so very friendly. The coffee shop is not too small and very clean. We will be going there more often:) read more

This coffee was way too sweet for my liking. My second time here i got the vanilla ice coffee, hoping it would taste like coffee and a tad bit of sweetness but it was extremely sweet for a vanilla ice coffee. The biscoff was obviously way too sweet. I couldn't finish it. It felt like I might get diabetes. The ambiance was okay. It gets really crowded and hot inside. read more
