Que Rico! The food and drinks are so delicious! And the service was amazing too! Andres was welcoming and kind! I love the decor. The place is small but cozy. Since it's so popular it can get crowded, but they do a great job with the waitlist and accommodations. Thanks to the server/baristas and the chefs! BRAVO!
Initially I discovered this spot on Groupon as a newer business that peaked my interest. At the time they actually had a different name. They were once called Dolce Cafe, and apparently the partners had split, so the name was changed here. Dolce cafe still exists, though now at a different location in Chula Vista. (Been there too) They prepare a very good cafe de olla here, with cinnamon and piloncillo(basically brown sugar. The last time it was way too sweet, and I even let them know and asked for drip coffee to top it off. Portions are not large but adequate. Flavors are very good from the items I've ordered. The place tends to draw nicer dressed locals, and even those who just pop in for coffee or espresso beverages. The location itself is a little odd, with a really steep downhill parking lot adjacent to a Burger King. It is also pretty cramped inside with small tables and chairs, though they have an expanded patio area outside. I have had chilaquiles, breakfast platters and sandwiches and was never disappointed. One thing to note however, the service and wait times might challenge you. So on our last visit, it was 15 minutes to order and 20 minutes more for our plates to arrive. I typically would have the patience for this but since it is practically 30 minutes from home I tend to get hangry..
The food is delicious and flavorful! It is a tiny little hole in the wall but you can't miss it because it's pink. The interior is quite small, as is the patio however, it is nicely decorated with comfortable seating. They get super busy and have a lot of pick up orders. Thus, there was a pretty long wait time for food and drinks, but it was honestly worth it once received. The juices are freshly made juiced on site, the beans have so much flavor. Nothing compares in Fresno. The salmon omelette was plentiful and fresh, the avocado toast was exceptional and I really like the bread they used too reminds me of cheesecake factory, but in a loaf form.
My sister in law came to SD and surprised us with her visit, so we were looking for a brunch place nearby. I chose this place and it looked unassuming from the outside. Luckily the wait wasn't too long! I ordered the Monte Cristo, which was one of their specialties. It came with turkey, ham, and Jack cheese inside French toast. It was delicious. I loved that it was sweet and savory, but also different from Monte Cristo sandwiches I've had before. Other items ordered were the green chilaquiles, red chilaquiles, and the steak and eggs. Everyone enjoyed their food as well as the cafe de olla, which comes with a couple of cookies. Rose D'Amour Cafe is pretty small inside, but there is also outside seating. It's definitely a hidden gem in Chula Vista!
Stumbled upon this place randomly before the wife and I had to spend the day car shopping. The atmosphere was small yet homey feeling. They had an array of coffee drinks and fresh pressed juices. My wife loved her ginger/carrot/oj. As far as the food, it fell short in both of our opinions. My wife has the chorizo toast, it lacked flavor. While my crane asada was tough. The server forgot to bring our banana crepe, but glad she didn't since other items weren't too appetizing. I'd consider coming back to try something different, as maybe the items we ordered weren't something the house specialized in.
Look for the little cute pink building! Parking lot is right after the building, turn right down the hill (sometimes it is full if busy). It can be very busy on weekends for brunch. Seating is limited because the building is very small so you may have to wait. I dined in once and ordered to-go once. Service is attentive! I waited 15 minutes for my to-go order. I highly recommend the d'amour breakfast burrito! it has hash browns, egg, bacon, pico de gallo, plus a side of beans. So flavorful and tastes homemade! My boyfriend enjoys their juice and cafe de olla. I got an americano but thought it was too watered down once.

I'm not sure how many times I've been here, but everything so far has been spot-on in hitting the spot! Today I had the Chori-torta, including yummy seasoned fries, and a seasonal Cookie Butter Latte. Oh my word, it's a lot of food, but it will be delicious for breakfast and lunch today! Perfect proportions of chorizo and egg with jalapenos, piled high on a buttered, grilled bolillo. The latte was 10/10 (she made it like she knew me well, even though she doesn't haha).

Drove 40 minutes out of our way only to enter the restaurant and not be greeted or spoken to, we had to approach a server who looked annoyed we were there. He told us to just sit anywhere with an annoyed tone, once sat we waited over 15 minutes before we decided to leave. No one came over, took our order or even offered drinks. It was obviously not overcrowded, the place was empty plus the place is small and only fits about 4-5 tables. Would not recommend to anyone, good reviews are obviously fake.
Yelp brought us here! Cute little pink cafe.. We were greeted with a welcoming and inviting vibe. The menu wasn't overwhelming. Had the Mole Chilaquiles and iced pumpkin chai and iced pumpkin matcha latte. The Mole Chilaquiles was delicious! Never had mole before and it was very flavorful. It was sweet but savory, tasted chocolate and cinnamon, flavor was complex and delicious. The beans weren't mushy or greasy and not heavy at all. And the potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The lattes were refreshing and not too sweet. Never had pumpkin spice with matcha and it was very nice. Definitely will be back to try their other menu items.

Is Not grease at all the cooks here really know what they are doing..I had the Chori & Papa it was so delicious the potato were cooked with the skin on and crispy a little but soft too Chilaquiles with mole poblano was spicy and delicious I loved there mole I'm coming back to try more mole And Chia pudding was fresh fruit little on the sweeter side for me because the fruit was sweet too And it has honey I loved the cool vibe going on here..I'll be back to have more delicious goodness here
** The name has changed to Rose D' Amor, same great menu just a new name. If you drive too fast you'll speed past this gem and not even know it. There's plenty of parking in the back. The staff was extremely friendly and make you feel welcomed as soon as yo walk in the door. I tired the Avocado toast amen marshmallow latte, both were delicious. The only thing that kept them from 5 stars was it was a little confusing and difficult finding the place due to lack of signage.
Crepes are so delicious. We shared the Tentation. Came to us warm straight from the kitchen. So tasty. Also had the frappe toffee nut, not sweet but tasty. Great match with the crepe. We'll definitely be back to try other menu items. Cozy place to eat with your spouse or a friend. Parking a little tough but we parked next door.

I just have to share my experience at Rose d'Amour Café because it truly deserves some love! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt calm, cozy, and full of charm. You can tell a lot of care goes into every detail--from the beautiful décor to the welcoming smiles from the staff. The food was so delicious! The chilaquiles were perfectly done--crispy, flavorful, and comforting--and the molletes were very tasty and fresh. I also tried their crepes, and wow, you can tell everything is made with care and quality ingredients. The guy who served us was incredibly friendly, personable, and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. It's rare to find such great service paired with such good food and coffee! And just to be clear--this is not a paid or sponsored review, just an honest shoutout from someone who truly enjoyed the experience. I ordered Banana Crepes and a brown sugar latte to go. I received strawberry, banana and Nutella crepes, not what I ordered but ok. I should have specified Banana FOSTER crepes, or they could have clarified too. Well, the crepe itself was a bit too thick and the bottom of the crepe had several hard "charred " pieces of something, not quite sure, almost seemed like a plastic material. It was an ok crepe until I chewed on the material in my crepes. I am unsatisfied, I spent $56 in total with the 2 drinks, burrito and crepes. I will not be returning. Please pay more attention to the quality of food you serve your customers, it should be edible and safe to eat! read more

New management and it shows! Rose D Amour is a new cafe name & owners but is still delivering on their food. Ordered the D'amour burger cooked medium & it came with fries. The Dragon pitaya fruit refresher which had ACTUAL dragon fruit was amazing! Not overly sweet which I appreciated. Staff is very polite & attentive but with a very small location they can get very busy very fast, especially during the weekends! Plan ahead for a visit but definitely worth it. read more

This place is absolutely adorable! We came in for coffee and a sweet bread and were surprised to see a full menu with delicious items. We'll definitely have to come back to try the mole and menudo. We ordered 2 conchas (fruity pebbles and cookies and cream), a regular coffee and a cappuccino. Everything was delicious. The ambiance is so cute. Very comfy and cozy atmosphere. You'll feel so good whether you're relaxing outside on the patio or inside. Everything is priced very well! Must try if you're in Chula Vista. read more

A friend recommended this place, located next to Burger King. It's a small place, located on a hill. I wish I took a photo of the parking lot. It's like on a hill/steep slope. There's a small indoor seating area. Not good for groups as there's a small tables inside maybe good for 2-4 people each. There's an outdoor patio area but it's literally outside and to the side, so I didn't see it. The cafe is located right on 3rd ave. Service was slow and unfriendly. We weren't greeted upon arrival. I think actually cos no one was at the register. I think we sat ourselves. It took a long time to get our orders in, in which I saw the servers go in and outside to the patio quite a few times before finally tending to us. There was a bit of wait on the food coming out as well. I ordered chilaquiles- it lacked flavor. Portion looked promising and the prices were in the higher side, so I was expecting better. My friend seems to like this place tho. Maybe I'll give it another chance and try something else next time. I went on a weekday during lunch. read more

So I had a couple of things let's start off with the good points to this place the is good is very good it's tasty the fruit waters are very refreshing the waiters are very nice . Now I had my time visit which is on Mother's Day Mexican Mother's Day . For it being my first time I really enjoyed myself an my friends . Now if you don't mind these few things then by all means you will have a great time But the tables the menu the the seating even down to the pillows were very dirty . Now sitting inside i notice it was rather better but it being such a small place tables were only for two people . The bath room is kept clean which is good . The wait time to being served took 1 hour and 30 mins the silver wear is given to you when served and napkins are limited I felt bad for the waiter because he was really busy but he did his best food is good but i won't recommend if your looking for a good place to eat an entertain . read more

I visited this establishment during covid when it had a different name not sure if it's the same owners or not. So I was excited to come back. I love that it's a very intimate place. The servers were bilingual and very welcoming. The food was really good, only thing we weren't very big fans of were the potatoes- they under seasoned and you could tell they had been sitting as they were hard and somewhat cold. But regardless the food was very good. Loved the presentation on the plate. Now, personally as a icee coffee drinker their Mexican Mocha iced coffee was incredible, it was slightly sweet with a bitter hint (which is a great balance). I really recommend giving this place a try, cute place with lots of options to choose from. read more

It is not hygienic at all, my husband asked for a late and they used a butter knife to make the design which is okay I guess but then the table next to us asked for a drink and they needed to grab ice and they use the same butter knife to crack the ice, then grabbed the ice with his bare hands and it's also a bag of ice that is left open and even the gallon of milk. Their installations need some fixing, food is good but I don't want to even imagine how their kitchen looks read more

Found this hidden gem on IG the ambience was nice and chill really cool decor. I ordered an oatmilk mocha which was delicious and went with the steak and eggs over easy. Everything was really tasty and delicious except for the potatoes as they were under cooked. Over all 7/10 would definitely come back! read more
I ordered from DoorDash their chilaquiles and the churro French toast for brunch and I ate half my meal and saved the other half for next meal. I usually do have to add extra sauces to my eggs like hot sauce but the salsa verde was plentiful and so tasty, I loved it! The churro French toast was good. Good portions for the dishes priced and I was able to have some leftovers. I have not dined there in person so next time, I will update review on the service and ambiance. Overall, great brunch choice and I would order here again. read more

This is a very small local Chula Vista cafe. Only a few tables inside but they have few tables outside as well. They do a super job with their chilaquiles. I love their green and red sauce. It comes with two eggs any style you want with refried beans and potatoes. It was delicious. The Mexican coffee was delightful and not too sweet. It came with a couple of cookies, which you can dip in the coffee and was so good. Place was quaint. Customer service was great also. Since it is a very small place, there was a line when we left. If you are in the south bay area, support this local spot. read more
