Was looking for a boba place around the area and came across Denkis boba. Walking in, the place was pretty awesome! It was anime themed with an emphasis on Naruto! I ended up using the kiosk. There was only one worker that was working and she was super sweet when I had a question about what the tarochimaru drink was, which I ended up getting and my partner the Chamango. Right after ordering our drinks, many more other people walked in and the wait time for the two drinks were pretty long, 15 minutes since there was only one person working. Now the part that they lose points is the PRICE. It's super expensive and pretty average for the flavor and SUPER small, not even a regular size at any other boba shop . Nothing out of this world and tastes like any other boba place. Upon the tax they also charge a service fee. For the two drinks we ended up paying 19.02!!!!!! If that was the I would have (and should have) gone to a different boba shop for more flavors, better service and better flavor for the price point. read more

Service was nice here! The staff was friendly and helped answer a few questions. My drink came out pretty quickly as well. I was happy to hear they have non dairy substitutes. I got the Thai tea with oat milk and boba. Part of the reason I ordered it was the staff said it was sweet, and I love my drinks sweet. And it was really good! My drink was sweet but you could still taste the tea flavor. The boba pearls were also really delicious and the right amount of chewy. I look forward to trying more drinks here! read more

Much anticipated in the Eastlake area and it's finally open! TBH, I waited a bit because I knew that when it opened, the lines would be crazy long! I love the anime theme since this helps this boba stand out from the rest. Another plus, spacious with multiple areas to sit! I like the various drink options and I tried the Crème Brûlée. This was the right amount of sweetness and the boba was chewy and sweet. While we relaxed in the front seating area, a line started to form at the cash register. I can't imagine how busy this place is when Eastlake High gets out. Cons: Website not yet updated to reflect that it's now open. Unable to order online as a result so you need to come in and place an order. Tarochimaro is the most priciest of all the drinks at $7. Yes, you get a "free" sticker but this is incorporated into the drink price. It's a nice looking drink but I'd rather just order something else. A fun place to have some boba and relax. read more

Stopped by after a grocery run at Vons and discovered this as I was passing by and saw the decor was pretty awesome. Who doesn't love a little demon slayer and anime while you drink your boba! I ordered a Thai Tea and Ube drink. We waited by the claw machines for my tasty treat ! If you are in a hurry this may not be your boba rest stop, but if you have time to lounge and hang this is where you want to be. It's also nice that it's got a late closing time. I stumbled across Denki's Boba while in the area and am sure glad that I did. This location is located in a strip mall with lots of other eating establishments and is perfect for an after dinner treat. I was surprised at how popular and crowded it was and loved the anime decor which makes this boba shop unique. They also had claw games and cute seating areas. The menu was very appealing to me with a variety of options that I like. I decided to go with one of the popular drinks, Taromochimaru and was probably one of the best taro bobas I've had in SD. One thing I do wish they had more than 2 sizes, particularly a larger size for those that are sharing. Additionally, the prices were pretty much in line with other boba places, however I had to add boba to my drink for an extra charge. This is probably the best mango, peach tea I've ever had! I come here every Saturday. I usually get a matcha, strawberry smoothie, mango smoothie. Everything I've tried is so refreshing and tasty amazing! The staff are so nice and generous! All the anime decor is pretty amazing too. All of my favorites. Not to top it off their claw machines! All the prizes are anime related. So far I won three times. They are not hard to win like other machines. Overall this boba place is pretty amazing. I was really disappointed with my visit to Denki's boba shop. While the drinks were okay, the claw machine games are a total scam. They advertise Pokémon cards as prizes, but when I won some, they turned out to be fake cards. This is super misleading and unfair, especially to kids and fans who think they're getting something real. If you're going here for the boba, fine--but don't waste your money on the games. Very shady practice *UPDATE* 8/31/25 I want to give credit where it's due -- after my review, the owner, Nick, personally reached out, apologized, and took immediate action by contacting the third-party company responsible for the machines. He acknowledged the issue and made it clear that this kind of thing isn't acceptable. I really appreciate how seriously he took the feedback and the steps he's taking to prevent it from happening again. It shows he genuinely cares about his customers and the experience. Denki's just opened in eastlake and is a very cool and unique local business. The interior is decorated in elements from different anime like naruto, dragonball, one piece, and demon slayer which is a fun addition for fans of the series. It's been busy the last few days but the service has been very swift and efficient despite the lines. Only waited about 10 minutes for 3 drinks on the two occasions we've went (7:30Pm on a friday and 9pm on a monday) We've tried the Oreo Smoothie - really enjoyed this, it's a very good drink! It's light and has a nice mix of cookie and cream flavor. Tastes like blended oreos and milk and is rich in taste Signature Milk tea, Jasmine Milk Green Tea, Thai Milk Tea- all pretty good. little milky but they all still preserve a good sweet tea flavor. also really light and refreshing Tarochimaru - creamy, sweet drink if you enjoy on the sweeter side! I also didnt get the free sticker they advertise. 9$ for a regular size milk tea with boba that isn't different than another boba is not justifiable. The seats are comfy and there's a lot of space and outlets which is cool. The anime walls and statues are unique and it's nice vibes inside.
