The boba is always great and everyone is super nice and fast when getting your order.

I came here after I got my hair done and I haven't had anything to eat. I ordered two Roasted Brown Sugar Matchas. They didn't have any alternative milk, only low fat and whole milk options. I also ordered half sweet but it tasted like full sweetness to me. Drink was powdery, I had a grainy feel in my mouth after every sip. Also the drink was warm, so it wasn't as cold as I would like it and most of the ice was melted. Not sure what was supposed to be roasted but didn't detect any roasted flavor at all. Boba was soft and chewy though. There's so many great boba options out there, I was disappointed with this experience. The cute little ear lid is a nice touch but I'd rather have a smooth matcha drink than cute packaging to be honest. Also, with so many matcha places in SD, this drink really falls short. Service was okay, the cashier seemed confused when I asked for alternate drink options and I had to repeat my order a few times, because he was getting the two matchas confused. Came In this evening around 7:30PM. I had the shooting star boba. Shop was clean, spacious and comfy. Staff was alright. Didn't get a hello when I walked in girl was just standing there waiting for me to order my drink. Drink was aiteee. I was expecting more flavor options but it seemed like they mostly are green tea and coffee based. Green tea isint really my favorite. Will I come in again? But my excitement faded as I began to order:( They did not have any caramel for their salted caramel drink, they didn't have any hot cups for a black tea. What a disappointment. I stopped here when I was next door getting my nails done. This is a very cute place to go and have boba. They have a large variety of options and the employees were very friendly. They also offer different snack options, like potstickers, but I didn't have time to order and try. I ordered the Shooting Star tea which was very tasty. So excited to try Daboba! I've been wanting to come here since they opened! The staff were cool and helpful with any questions we had. My husband got the Vietnamese coffee with boba and I got the Shooting Star with boba. The shooting Star is a fruity, citrusy tea. And it was absolutely delicious! Had a great balance of sweetness and flavor. I was a little disappointed at first when I saw the amount of boba in my drink, but it ended up being a perfect amount. But wait the drink was still good after i mixednit wel amd the boba still soft! They have a large menu, similiar to the kearny location but they try to make each shop indovidual by location amd it works. The only boba shop in CV that was open a little later on a Sunday night-closes at 9. Friendly staff, and clean location. Their milk is tea is one of the best, hot or cold and their boba is fresh! I wasn't able to finish my large hot milk tea. I took it to work the next day and warmed it up. The boba was still gooey and fresh ! Let me start off by saying that this location of Da Boba has immaculate customer service. Despite the crowd of customers, the employees were all level headed working quickly and efficiently while all still maintaining quality service. Loved that the interior is clean and has a very chic and simple interior design. I went during their soft opening and at the time was honestly disappointed with their tea drinks. Ordered a few drinks and my party all noticed the lack of tea essence and flavor in the tea drinks, however the other drinks were great and quite enjoyable. The owner was there and I had given my honest opinion about the lack of tea flavor in the tea drinks and he apologized and hoped our next visit would have a better experience. Sure enough 3 weeks after their grand opening I went back. I wasn't planning to order any pure teas or milk tea at first, but to my surprise the owner recognized me and informed me that they adjusted their tea drinks recipe. So I went a little crazy with my party and ordered a pure seasons tea (really refreshing and fragrant), classic green milk tea (had strong tea flavor with a wonderful floral taste and loved the hint of honey), cheese roasted oolong tea (had a really nice roasted and earthy flavor that paired really well with the slightly salty cheese foam), mango frappe (had this last time and knew it was good it's sweet, tangy and so refreshing). Safe to say with the immaculate quality care and service, alongside their newly improved drinks, Da Boba will certainly become one of my regular spots. read more

They always take the time to explain about the drinks they offer and always make a recommendation based on your taste and preferences. What I love the most is if you're not happy with your drinks. Went back again after their soft opening and tried the Japanese roasted milk tea (50% sweetness level). It had a very pleasant tea flavor and definitely tasted better than some other boba shops I've tried because I could actually taste the tea! Also, the decor that they have for the holidays is so cute! Even though it was a bit busy the day that I went, the staff was friendly and apologized for the wait time, which I appreciated. My fiance and I are regulars now (we come at least once a week) :) We used to go to tapioca inside Seafood City next door until this one opened up and it has been our go to since then. I really enjoy how much you can customize your drinks, it really does make it special! I always get the roasted milk tea with half sweetness and 25 percent ice while my fiance gets the brown sugar series coco with boba with 25% sugar and ice and those are the only two drinks we get but every time I go there,i look at everyone elses drinks and want to try them next time but I always play it safe lol. Came here on grand opening day (10/27) around 4:15 pm and this place is absolutely amazing! Although it was busy everything was worth the wait. The staff are friendly and hardworking, their drinks are top tier, and overall the ambiance of the place is very minimalistic. I plan to come back! During the rush there was a small girl with pigtails who was absolutely popping off with the drinks despite of the rush, wanted to give her huge props on that as well as the owners who were there. A sad counterpart of the DaBoba in Kearny Mesa. I always order the milk tea with boba and cheese foam, but I have never received an ounce of flavor in either the drink or boba. The drink tastes as if you're sipping milk, and the boba is bland and chewy. This does not mean the store cannot stand on its own; but when in comparison to Kearny Mesa, it's disappointing. Otherwise, the service is nice yet somewhat slow, and the ambiance is relaxed. Three stars because I cannot help but compare the two locations, though it's an alright store. read more
