I own a business and had a minute before going to a project and decided to stop at this 711 to grab a couple things (which they didn't have) when this strange elderly man with odd glasses, working behind the counter was staring at me then accused me of putting something in my front pants pocket. He seemed disoriented and I was caught off guard by the accusation considering you could see the suspected pocket was visibly flat after insisting I show him the contents of this pocket and then left without purchasing my Gatorade . I don't feel comfortable going to this location any more and will let my community know that this not a place to shop. Being a member of a local neighborhood watch group in communication with several other neighborhood watch groups,I am obligated to let people know when to avoid people, places and or situations that don't align with basic professionalism, common courtesy and the safety concerns of the community. *This picture shows the same pocket used for the alleged attempt until being exasperated i showed him the AirPods in that pocket. (711 does not sell Apple products) It's possible the individual In question is suffering from a learning disability or visual impairment in which case the owner ( him being the owner??)..may consider revising the employee's scope of work to fit there special needs and potentially improving employee/customer interactions.

    Big bite with cheese

If I could put a negative review I would, the customer service at this place SUCKS. There is a short oriental lady who is rude as heck. I got a big bite and went to put nacho cheese on, she didn't say anything put hovering over me like I was going to steal it. At the register the guy asked me before I even walked up, did you put cheese on your hotdog (this is not the problem). I answered yes and he charged me for the cheese, But this lady left her customer at the register to keep talking crap to the poor guy at the register. HE ALREADY CHARGED ME, move on lady. This is not the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd time she has been rude.

    Nice entry way.

I stopped in for a quick slurpee on a hot day. All of their slurpees were functioning (no red lights), which is rare for a 7-Eleven on a hot day. They had about 5-6 flavor choices. The store was organized and relatively clean. The cashiers were very friendly! The location is also a gas station, and although the parking lot is small and a bit awkward, it is in a low traffic area, which makes this location decent. Red box outside if you're feeling like a movie night as well.

We parked and noticed nearly all the lights were off. The pastry cabinet was empty, the tables were taped off. But people were inside and customers were in line. Emotions and energy were low, it was quiet and dim vibes all around. We walk in and see just one man working the cashier and making the drinks. He looked puzzled, a bit lost. We get in line behind someone ordering 4+ drinks and see that this guy didn't really know how to make the drinks. He was misplacing the ingredients and wasn't fully confident operating the payment system. The back counter was cluttered with miscellaneous gadgets, appliances, and syrups. It took nearly 20 minutes for the customer in front of us to get from ordering to receiving their drinks and we just watched in slight awe. The guy was apologetic and upfront, he was trying his best in a bad situation. They made some small talk and hinted that they were closing due to supply chain disruptions in Hawaii. I feel for them and wish them well. The coffee itself was ok. Flavor was decent but somewhat unremarkable. They offer different caffeine levels, up to I think 400mg in a drink. I just got the 200mg coffee. Don't know if I just built a tolerance but I fell asleep right after. We did want a pastry but with the baked goods cabinet empty, we weren't sure what they had left to offer. There was a long sign listing everything sold out between the pastries and coffee flavors. Overall the experience was odd and left a slightly bitter emotional taste in my mouth. They've acknowledged that they weren't in the best condition at that point and I do feel unfair to judge them at their worst. If they turn it around, I'm opening to revisiting. But for now, I don't feel compelled to go out of my way for it.

The ambiance inside is so nice, with a long velvet/velour bench and some comfortable chairs and solid stone looking tables, they have put some thought and effort into their aesthetic. But of course we come for the food and drinks, right? So they do have a pretty good selection of sandwiches, salads, and pastries. Their drink menu is also quite good and they also have their signature drinks and food. The place is always clean and neat, and so welcoming. My favorite sandwiches are the grilled cheese and the roast beef. I would have the roast beef more but I have to watch what I eat or i get gout. I love this place as they are so accommodating and also listened to some of my suggestions. When they first opened up they would just serve their sandwich with no side, just the sandwich. But i will say that they do charge a fair amount, and for that amount it would be nice to have something else on the side. So my suggestion was to either derive a little house salad or some chips to fill out the plate and to add some texture to the meal. And to my surprise the next day they had added a little salad to the meal. And might i add I really don't like salads, but this one is very delicious, and adds a bit of different texture and some acidity to your meal. The drinks are nice and are made right there. They are always served in nice glassware if you are drinking there. I am not a big coffee drinker so I usually will go with a chai or some tea. I love that they will make it either hot or cold to your liking. I was a bit worried when they started up, as i thought that this was not a good time in the economy to open up a business. But they are doing remarkably well and they are quite busy most of the time. I love to see a place doing well, so when we climb up the stairs to go to work, we have a nice start to our day to see all the happy people inside eating and drinking. I wish they continued success, but I know they have found their niche and a good formula for success.

My husband and I both love ube, and Cafe 86 is known for its variety of ube desserts. It was fairly quiet when we visited on a Saturday afternoon. Since we had already eaten lunch, we decided to stop by for dessert. The inside was pretty nice -- I especially liked the lighting, which gave the place an industrial vibe. There were couches and tables for seating, making it feel comfortable overall. We were greeted by a younger employee who could've been a bit more energetic and welcoming. The dessert case also looked a little sparse and underwhelming. My husband ordered the Ube Monster shake, and I got the ube cheesecake. The shake was pretty good, though not as creamy as I expected, and I wished the ube flavor was stronger. The ube cheesecake, on the other hand, was fluffy and not overly sweet, which I really liked. It also had a thick cookie crust that was delicious. Still, I would've loved a more pronounced ube flavor in that as well. I'm a huge ube fan, and when I make ube desserts at home, I usually add extra flavoring to really make it stand out. Overall, I'd come back again. Next time, I definitely want to try the flan!

Overall, it tasted okay, but I wished that you were able to customize it somehow (i.e add jellies, change slush flavor, etc). Maybe I could have asked but what made it challenging was that the menu did not clearly show everything they had to offer or it was hard to decipher which price went with what item. The cooler was pretty good and it was part of their $3 drink specials. Keep in mind though, it was not advertised, I just happened to know because I almost did an online order and saw it. I plan to go back and try some more things but there really needs to be more transparency about the menu and the prices clearly displayed.
