I was at CVS yesterday at 4445 Mission Blvd San Diego and I have forgotten to pack an item. The assistant in the shop who was scanning the items and assisted me in paying made no attempt to correct that. She for sure saw that I forgotten to pack that item in my bag and just stayed silent. The item was $19.49, and after applying a coupon I payed $15.7 I feel really uncomfortable visiting a shop where I do not feel safe. read more

Thursday night late we need to go pick up meds. For friend who just discharged from hospital. So usual CVS is up the road but they happened to not have in stock 1 medication the Dr. Ordered. So CVS called and ask if they had this medicine they stated feeling it. So by the up it was waiting at this CVS storeE. H Street did. Thank you all who helped us. They were busy too. But it was quick and helpful and kind. Here I was so glad I was tried all day the hospital. I really like this CVS it had a nice selection of Halloween, and Thanksgiving lights I was in heaven so I even came back the next day to buy stuff on sale. And with all coupons it was a good haul. Had to go to Rady Children's Urgent Care unexpectedly today and opted to send the rx here since it was a short walk down the road. It was a bit of a wait to confirm that the doctor sent over the prescription, but the pharmacy tech was the only one manning the front with 5 customers waiting and the phones were ringing non-stop. I can't be mad at him if they're short staffed and he's doing a great job with same great attitude while helping all of us. Adrian said it would be 5-10 min wait for the rx to be filled, and that's exactly what it was. While in the store, I entered my number in the coupon kiosk to see if they had deals I could use. It didn't find me with my current phone number, but when I entered my old number, two coupons spit out, however I didn't need any supplements or vitamins. Oh well. Pros: Huge store Wide open aisles In house optical department, as well as the usual cards, toiletries, household goods, makeup, vitamins, etc. Cons: Further away from my house than another CVS Not a 24hr store/pharmacy I wouldn't mind shopping here one bit if I were in the area again. read more

This CVS is located off of "H" Street and Highway 805 in Chula Vista in the Terra Nova Shopping complex right next to Big 5 and near Smart & Final. There is plenty of parking, that has never been an issue as I've been here a handful of times. There are two (2) self-checkout registers one of which that allows cash and another that does not allow cash. This seems to be uniform in most CVS self-checkout registers I've used/seen. I've had good interactions with staff, with one time where an employee wasn't too sure about the over medications we were asking about, other than that staff has been friendly and accommodating. Will more than likely frequent this CVS occasionally as I have done in the past. FYI, the last visit, I overheard a lady customer inform another customer than no one is on a regular register that they "preferred" all customers use self-checkout. While this is not common practice in all CVS, I do know that most CVS have one person available on the register at all times, this doesn't bother me at all... but definitely upset one of the customers. read more

I went here 3 days ago and I must say I appreciated All the people I interacted with. They All had Great & Good Communication and Customer Service Skills. They are doing an Excellent job!!! However, I had to take 1 star out because of a Hiccup, of having to Return, & wait in Line again for my other Medicine.m that they missed Seeing it in my File. (As, I got a Text about it that it was Ready to be Picked up) Ny First trip there, I had Asked about it...But, there was some Confusion. When I had Spoke to the woman about This, Afterwards, I felt Heard & Understood. And, so was Happy with How I was Treated by All Staff, despite having to make 2 Trips. Get your hours listed correctly on your website! They acted like it was my fault that I was there to pick up a prescription before they opened. Two people in the store, no one at the pharmacy, and I was there at 9:15. The ensure says they open at 8AM. They just looked at me and said they don't open till 10AM. Terrible customer service in the pharmacy! Very disappointed having RiteAid closing and finding a new pharmacy. I like the drug store but probably finding a new pharmacy! I called around to several CVS stores to ask if they could print out large format photos until I finally found this location (380 East H Street in Chula Vista). I lucked out, they had a sale, and I used my Extra Care Plus Rewards to score an amazing deal! When I went to pick them up, Teresa, who doesn't work in the photo department graciously helped me out. My pictures turned out stunning, looking like they came from a professional studio. CVS only gets 4 stars because I had to call around to find this one. Love this store it's my new go to store ever since CVS on Broadway shut down. It's so organized and well stocked. They even have clean restrooms at this location. The staff is so friendly and attentive to offer any assistance if needed. Overall satisfied with the location and service and got my items for free thanks to their rewards program. Customer service needs improvement. I had ordered photos online and was notified by email that my photos were ready for pick up. I show up and realized nobody was in the photo section so I asked one of the employees at the registers if they could send someone over. I was just about to ask and the lady Jen rolled her eyes and didn't even acknowledge me. It was completely rude. The other employee ( male, curly med length dark hair) didn't say anything just turned around put away something and then walked towards the photo department. He asked for my name and pretended to look for my photos but had no luck or was just not really trying. He gave up in matter of minutes and said he would get someone else to help me. I stood around for a good 15 minutes and nobody ever showed up. read more

You will never see this place staffed. Always busy 1 person to do everything and at least a 15 minute wait. They close in the middle of the day completely at 1:30 even if there is a line of people who have already been waiting in line 5-10 minutes. It's awful how they run this pharmacy. I like this store. Trying to talk to someone is very frustrating. The phone tree is less than intuitive, and I ended up having to go thru a call center before they could tell me how to "work" the phone tree to get to a staff member. Sure - walk-ins for Covid-19 vaccine are welcome, but subject to availability. So - one needs to ask if the vaccine is available before doing the half-hour round-trip drive. This process is very frustrating. It would actually take much less time to drive to the store, ask, and drive back home - negating the purpose of being able to communicate using modern technology. I'm now almost to an hour of working the tree, getting cut off, holding, being transferred, cut off, and listening to that stuff you call hold music. It's 2021. OK - one hour. I'm done. read more

Convenient and has most of the necessities needed for a quick shop!! I enjoy coming here because it has easy parking and is near home. I'm the type of shopper to just go in, wander, grab what I need, and check out. Little to no interaction with employees. But that's just me. They do greet as you enter and is helpful at check out. Prices are affordable. They have anything from beauty, medicine, pet supplies, cleaning supplies, alcohol/wine, jewelry, etc. Wide range of options, which I like. They now have two kiosk for debit/credit check out. This is much faster than waiting in line. But if you don't mind the wait, cashier check out is an option of paying cash. This is my preferred pharmacy only because it's minutes from my house. It's convenient. Gets me in and gets me out MOST times. Their staff just isn't that friendly at all. They don't greet you with a smile, like ever. They're very dry in the way they talk to you. This is unfortunate because people are sick, coming in for their meds, may be feeling down, and the last thing people want is a not so helpful/friendly attitude from the staff. Most of them have been there for years. Maybe they don't like their jobs or are over it, but that's not the customers fault. read more

The staff in the store are great. the pharmacy though! Never have I ever dealt with such lines. No matter what time of day. It's ridiculous! One person working the line at all times, and everyone has an issue with their prescriptions! There is even an express line. With the same person working THAT line. What do you suppose happens there? This is by far the worst place to pick up your medication! Every time I go pick up medication they only have one person helping the customer with a line of 3 or more people. I doesn't matter if you do the express pay, because you still need to wait ( not good)! The pharmacist and his tech seem to have their head up their ass to not want to come and help! I was there this morning , the clerk was helping a customer who was on her personal phone talking and looking at meds and asking clerk question and talking about what was going on in life, after 15 mins of me waiting , I approached the clerk and asked if there was someone else that could help us ( the people that were waiting in line) she finally moved the person over so she could help me and also called the pharmacist and tech to come help with customers. It took me 25 minutes to get my mom's prescription. This is not good! I do not recommend this place! read more

I needed a prescription transfered while vacationing in San Diego. After calling a location near my timeshare in downtown San Diego, they told me to give this location a call as they had the med. The pharmacist I talked to was very nice & had it ready the next day. The entire staff was wonderful & had it ready in a timeley manner. This is an average CVS - plenty of parking, lots of sales and deals to be found, but next to no store associates around to answer questions you may have. I came in here with a massive migraine and wandered around for ten minutes before I found the tiny aisle in the back for pain medication. Usually the aisle with Advil and Tylenol is one of the first you see so it's not good if I can't find it amongst all the random seasonal chotchsky items cluttered about a large part of the store. read more

This is THE very WORST pharmacy I have ever been too!! Attitude, rudeness, making people wait for no reason. This LAST visit, which I an still here waiting for, is the last straw! Cvs calls to tell me my prescriptions are ready, get here, nobody in line, still 10 minutes before being acknowledged! They told me it was ready, but, I they only had 3 medications and I knew there should be 4.i told them that. They said they didn't have the prescription. FINALLY, looks in the computer and there it it, my 4th that was called in with the rest. They just missed it. Then told me to wait another 15 minutes for them to get it together. I'm not shocked about the two stars this place has as of the date I am writing this review. I came to this pharmacy yesterday because I was picking up prescription glasses across the parking lot. I needed some rx for sinus and congestion for myself and my two sons (ages 11 and 14). We are a family who struggles with allergies and sinus issues, especially in rainy seasons so we are familiar with the rx that helps alleviate our symptoms. The children's Sudafed was easy to find. However, I knew I needed to talk to the pharmacy tech for the Sudafed Congestion. While the pharmacy tech was grabbing the of Sudafed Congestion box from behind the counter for me, I asked her if I could also see the Advil Cold and Sinus. She clearly wasn't too happy that she needed to get a step stool to reach the Advil for me. I was comparing the ingredients when she abruptly says, "they are the same thing". I replied, "No they are not, one has a pain reliever". She commented about the Aleve I had also, which I explained was for my husband. Then I said to my teen, "Maybe I should get both, the Sudafed for me and the Advil for you". She said, "but you're also getting the Children's Sudafed", which I replied "this is for my 11 year old". Anyway, I felt she was giving me a hard time. I trust and respect the advice of a trained professional but her attitude was more geared towards I was wasting her time or why I was I buying so many meds? She had my ID too! She ended up leaving me at the counter and someone else rang me up, no questions asked. I hope the first lady that helped me was just having a bad day because with that being my first experience at this pharmacy it has deterred me from returning and giving them my business again. I must add when I walked into the store and left the store, I was greeted by customer service with a "hello/goodbye" and a smile. read more

Just went to the pharmacy to ask a question regarding some things I needed to pick up for my husband who just had surgery. They looked short staff and I expected to wait a little longer than normal due to COVID-19. So I waited at the counter for about 7-10 minutes for some assistance which again not the issue. The problem was another lady walked up who was a little "lighter" than I walked up and was greeted and assisted. It took everything in me not to make a scene because I'm sure that's what they were expecting me to do. Very disappointed and disheartened by this experience. read more

There was no choice in giving zero stars so I had to give one to be generous. This morning I went through self checkout and was having trouble with the system. There was one cashier available and after helping me twice she had to assist again and began to get annoyed. She stated "uh this lady " as she was trying to help someone else. She was referring to me. I am sadden to see such sad customer service. I am an assistant manager in retail and been in the business for two years. Never have I ever experienced such a rude employee that was annoyed because they had to keep helping me. First of all it's called multi-tasking and sustaining a friendly demeanor when assisting customers. The cashier women could've said "oh no worries I'll be right there to help" instead of saying "oh this lady" with an annoyed look. Very disappointed and felt very offended. If this is the manager of the CVS then that's even more sad. Please do not bring your inappropriate behavior to a work place as this is suppose to be a professional friendly environment. The main store is decent. Sales are great right after the holidays. However, the pharmacy is a complete joke. If your MD sends a Rx here, make sure you call to verify that they have the exact meds. I called and they said they received my Rx. Then I asked when it would be ready and all of a sudden they said - Oh, we don't actually have it! I asked them to transfer a Rx from their other store, and they were too lazy to do it. They lack incentive, personnel and inventory. Send your Rx's to the CVS at 555 Broadway. I love the cashiers at the front, but I was discriminated against by a female pharmacist after a snafu with their automated systems. My prescription was not filled, it should have been, had the automation worked, I was in need of more (if you go off this medication there are bad side effects and more bad stuff) and the pharmacist refused to give me any more because ... She asked me what it was for. Since when do pharmacists have the right to know why you take medications? And when I said no, she said she couldn't give it to me because it was 'high risk.' That's funny, I went over all the symptoms with my doc, just had my followup to check the dose, he said he'd refill my script, and now this pharmacist won't do it for reasons that apparently my own doctor doesn't know. "What's so high risk about it?" I asked, going over all the symptoms discussed with my doc. "It's also a psychiatric medication, so, it's black box, so, under certain conditions, I can't give you enough to tide you over." I'm paraphrasing, she wasn't that eloquent. This took a while, it was a waste of a trip and half hour of my time, and now I have to leave for my trip, so, guess what? I'd really like to hear from the management and I'll be following up with others as well as to how legal this all was, and the risk to my health because of discrimination --- yeah. I'll up my rating to reflect what I think of the whole store in general (4 stars) once this pharmacy issue is made right. How freaking humiliating, and stunning, actually. Do I now need to broadcast the details of my dna to any random stranger? Great. read more

Very unfriendly service at the pharmacy counter every time I go to this location. Bought 2.5ml of 0.2% Oleopatadine eye drops and wound up paying the pharmacy $TWICE$ what the over the counter price is. You would think the pharmacist would point this out, but I guess they're not trained to provide customer service, just to charge as much as they can for product. When I realized they had overcharged me I went back to do a return, but I was told NO RETURNS even if the box was sealed/unopened, and suggested I should take up the price issue with Medicare. read more

This is one of my favorite places to come get drugstore makeup because of the CVS weekly deals. You can often find buy one get one 50% deals or can get cash back in the form of CVS ExtraBucks when you spend more than $15. I really love that because you can essentially get almost half of your money spent at times and can get another item on another day. This store is not the nicest looking one especially compared to the new CVS locations in San Diego county but it's not a bad one. The store is clean and everything is organized well. The only thing I don't like is how the price checker is right in the checkout lane which seems kind of dumb. I usually don't leave negative reviews... because I actually don't remember much about bad experience. Of course I get upset sometimes but when I go to sleep and wake up next day, all the bad memories are gone. BUT I was quite unhappy with this place, it made me even think about calling CVS customer service or the store manager, so here it goes. One Saturday evening, I stopped by this CVS to drop off 2 prescriptions, one for myself the other one for my 2yo daughter. I waited at the counter for 5mins, I could see 2 pharmacist working, one man answering the phone, the other woman attending other customer. The male pharmacist eventually hung up the phone and came up to me, asked how he could help. He seemed he's really busy. Nonetheless, I explained the situation and gave him 2 prescriptions. Then he said "Okay, that's too complicated." and gave me back the prescriptions, went to the back and started working something else. What? Too Complicated? I waited another 5 mins, and then finally the female pharmacist finished with other customer, came up to me and asked me exactly same question. I had to repeat myself again. I understand that pharmacy at that time seemed really busy. But why couldn't he say something like "I'm sorry but I'm little busy so please wait till she's done with other customer" or something? Or why did he came to me and ask how he could HELP!? There are many Pharmacy in Chula Vista, I'd never go back there. And neither should you. Exclude the bad service at the pharmacy, the CVS store itself is quite large with very large selection of products, and check out service is always friendly and quick. read more

Went to get my Photos enlarged from my Thumbdrive. The employee running the cash register helped me out with my photos and I got a 8x10 photo enlarged, waiting 2 minutes for it. The quality was great, the worker was courteous and helpful. read more
