The previous employee then said, "Oh, that's my fault," but honestly, if she had asked one clarifying question or explained the process, I wouldn't have wasted my time waiting unnecessarily. Everyone is busy, I completely understand that -- but a little clarification and customer service would have helped a lot. I was a long-time patient of Dr. Nowak -- I first saw him when his office was on Third Ave (I was…read more19), and again years later at 32 when I had one of 2 of my tattoos lasered by him. Over the years I also visited his new office for fillers and facials, and always had great experiences back then, which is why I decided to return at 42 for another tattoo removal. Unfortunately, the experience was completely different this time. The front-desk staff were unprofessional and unhelpful. During a fall promotion for tattoo removal, I confirmed with both Dr. Nowak and his medical assistant that I could purchase two packages under the special. When I tried to pay, the receptionist couldn't process it correctly, and the MA reassured me it would be fine and noted in the system. Later, when I came back to complete the purchase, they denied the agreement and treated me as if I had misunderstood -- even though I had clarified everything from the start. On one of my treatment visits, a staff member even made an inappropriate joke during my session. I had used stress toys to manage the pain, and when I apologized for accidentally damaging one, she replied, "Next time I'll hand you a rock," right in front of the doctor. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional -- even the doctor seemed taken aback. Instead of resolving the billing issue respectfully, a staff member later called me to refund part of my payment and told me I could no longer return as a patient. I was shocked, especially after being a loyal client for over 20 years. The atmosphere has changed drastically -- there's tension among staff, and the overall energy feels negative and disorganized. It's not the same caring, professional office it once was. I went to this clinic for Dr. Nowak himself -- not for the rude and ignorant staff who now act as his gatekeepers. He's an excellent doctor who deserves a team that reflects his skill and professionalism. Unfortunately, the people currently representing him are doing the opposite. I've since read other Yelp reviews from patients who noticed the same lack of professionalism and customer care, so this seems to be a growing pattern rather than an isolated incident. I'm truly disappointed and wouldn't recommend this office anymore. Patients deserve honesty, consistency, and respect -- not confusion, hostility, and indifference from those representing such a talented doctor.

She is kind, compassionate and truly cares that her patients get the best results possible. I had a dual fraxel laser peel and she made sure I was comfortable the entire time.
