Target curbside makes errands feel effortless. I always use their curbside pickup and it's been such a game changer. I'm not a fan of how they made the entrance and exit from the curbside pick up, but it will do. I place my orders super early and it's usually ready in about 2 hours or sometimes less. The Team members who bring out the groceries are always nice and gentle with my fragile items. There have been just a few little mix ups like a missing item or a dented can, but the app can take care of that if you log on and report "fix an issue!" I love how convenient and easy it is to pick up from here. read more

Of all the Targets, this might be my favorite one. All the workers and customers looked like me and as we know, representation matters. The staff were smiling and felt very warm. Selection was best I've seen from a Target in a long time. There were a lot of different items I haven't seen at other targets in the area. The men's section was a bit disappointing, but the ladies I was with found a treasure chest full of goodies at discounted price. Staff were plentiful even though it was 40 minutes til closed. The parking lot was packed and so was the store. Not sure if that's the norm or if it was just everyone needed last minute things. It's not a particularly big store. I used to like this location because it's in a nicer area and is usually quite clean and organized but that has changed lately. The employees at guest services are always rude and dismissive. Today I went to get a new book. The shelf only has room for about 2 copies which is a poor decision so I wanted to ask someone if there were more in the back. There was an employee at the tech table but she said she didn't work for target so I'd have to find someone else. I looked around for 10 minutes and couldn't find anyone. Then I pushed the "need help" button by the music section and I waited. After a couple minutes the tech lady came over and asked what I needed help with and it's like.. still looking for that book. And she replayed "yeah, I don't work here". Yeah, I get that. Why did you come over then? I just left. I know the money I would have spent on books isn't significant to a huge company but overtime I hope this store realizes it's still important to help people. Why advertise new books when you only put 2 out? Why put non-target employees who do nothing there? Why don't the "need help" buttons do anything? When I worked at target those had to be answered within 60 seconds. It wasn't optional. I won't be inclined to come back after today. read more

My wife and I were walking through the baby aisle when she stepped on a large thumb tack that went through her shoe. We found one associate but the manager was unresponsive to the radio call. No urgency to help she directed us to go to customer service. We came over and no one was here so I requested an employee at a register to help. The manager, Alex Walker came by and said he will start an incident report and showed no interest in helping us. Quickly handing us off to Alexander Sanchez, Alexander Sanchez helped us fill out the incident report, he was patient and truly interested in our well being even with a small incident as this. Alex Walker should show more interest in safety hazards being a manager and should take ownership and more interest in these cases. If this was my store I would seriously look into the work ethics of Alexander Sanchez as a role model for the rest of the store since he, again, was the only one to show any true interest and help us. read more

Update below: Pokemon related, 100% resealed from their in store cards. This was weird, really weird and i don't even know who's at fault or if it's even a manufacturer error. Literally just bought Kleavor Vstar box 2 of them, first thing i pointed out to my friend was the Lost Origin packs in the front of the box. Idk why, but the top of the packs had a slight vertical cut, but i just assume its bc its an old set? I was pulling my last Fusion Strike and it came with an extra card that was MESSED UP and it was behind the QR code lol Resealed? Or manufacturing error? Update: Yup i was looking thru some community reddit pages and asked some friends and i got the same response of what i should look out for when it comes to resealed packs. Target does not sell this pack, its thru a 3rd party vendor. The glue was super think when opening this product which is super odd bc it never is that thick and the glue isn't supposed to stay on the product, its supposed to come off with the piece of the box you ripped off. The service was horrible a cashier, stole my items once I left and arrived home I noticed I was missing items about 20-30 dollar worth so I did what every person would do, called this target location and they would not answer. I think the employee who checked me out stole our snacks because they thought we wouldn't notice. It was Christmas Eve so it was very busy. We waited 45 minutes for the phone technician to arrive. He was scheduled to be in at 10:00 AM. We left at 10:45. He did NOT arrive. There was another couple as well who came and left. We understand they contract their work out but someone should show up. We asked the Manager of Target for the phone number of the company he worked at. He said he would get it got us and that we would be waiting outside of the Starbucks. He agreed. Well after waiting 15 minutes and left. Thats just wrong especially being a Manager. I was going to purchase a suitcase for my daughter for Mother's Day and I found the American Tourister suitcases on sale. I was happy when I saw them and they were also the size I wanted to buy her since she will be traveling abroad soon. When I went to pay, the suitcase came up at regular price, so I let the cashier know and she told me to speak to the customer service desk. When I did, I was told she would need to call someone for a price check. As I was running late, I told her I would go and take a picture of it for her. When I returned, she said only the "white" suitcase was on sale under the sale advertised. Obviously, I was surprised as nowhere listed did it state a color, other than it said, American Tourister at 50%. I asked her why she wouldn't honor the sale that was advertised, especially since I was showing her what they posted, and she kept saying no because the bar code said "white only." I was furious because I based my entire shopping experience on this and didn't have anymore time to buy my daughter anything else for Mother's Day. This is my favorite target to go too. Their is never a huge line and their staff is amazing. I find everything Im looking for in this location and definitely beats fighting lines like in their other location. I have been coming here for the past 15 years and would not change that. One of my favorite parts about target is they price match with no questions asked. They have never given me a hard time or have they every game me a hard time. You guys know Target always has long lines , and with that being said Claudia kept her composure and didn't pressure me about my returns. They say Target is normally better than Walmart....well when you go to this store you may beg to differ. When you need help, normally you look to the employees to be the experts...right. Well here it's hit or miss. I asked the same question to two different employees and received two different answers. After I asked the first my gut was telling me different so I decided to ask someone else and thank goodness I did because this employee was willing to help. That's a terrible feeling as a consumer when one person can steer you off on the wrong path....and you could have left without what you came for just to know it was actually there all along. On a postive note, they have WINE! I am excited about this because some states do not allow Targets or shall I say grocery stores to carry alcohol. So I was pleased. Their flower selection was pretty decent as well. Now one other thing they should work on is either the morale to help calm the workers or just simply more training. The checkout can be a disaster. It is passed 12 midnight and I am documenting the struggle I experienced specifically at the TECH (by Marketsource) of the Electronics department of Target. I wouldn't give even 1 star if not because of 1 staff named Leandra who stayed with me and patiently coordinated with her district manager Jose Torres on the phone and Target Eastlake manager Vanessa from 7:40 pm...that I literally finished the troubleshooting at closing time of 9:55 pm. The dilemma and the huge inconvenience would not have happened if the TargetTECH staff named Saul did not lie, if he did not upsell and gave false promises to iPhone customers. I was shocked to know that he is even a team lead, because he doesn't know their products and accurate services. All he wanted, together with his coworker London, was to persuade walking consumers to get an iPhone upgrade at the expense of misrepresenting Target as in-partnership with AT&T and that they have this legit promo. He has told many lies, and before I even mention, upon getting a hold of him tonight on the line with AT&T corporate store, he did not apologize and continued answering back at the AT&T official sales rep, saying: "I don't know why they changed policy now. That's what I know they used to do and it's not my fault they are not accepting your previous iPhone unit". When I said, this is very disappointing and acceptable that all he committed were not the truth and I would make a report about this incident, he arrogantly remarked: "Fine! Do it!". The situation began when I was approached by Saul and quickly and confidently said: "Target Tech department partnered with AT&T with this promo that makes upgrading to the IPhone 15 Plus or Pro-Max for free and limited time offer only so hurry." I said that my iPhone 14 Pro is still very good and i don't want to spend. Saul said "it's Free, you'll only pay tax today". He assured that I'll only be paying around $27.00. He said iPhone will come out with iPhone 16 at the end of this year and my phone will be obsolete and not work anymore.after spending a long talk and I thought I'm okay with the offer, he was so quick to make me choose color of the titanium designs of the iphone 15 Plus and Pro Max. Just when I expected to pay $27, Saul now said: "Oh, you still have a balance with your existing iphone. Not communicated prior to me being at the cashier and feeling I didn't want to waste time. Saul convinced me that it will only be a small amount added to my monthly bill. The worse with the commitments was that Saul said, I could bring home the iphone 15 pro max now, it will have its service ready and I have 15 days to bring my old phone to "ANY AT&T STORE" and they will accept it. I was even the one making sure not to leave Target without surrendering my old phone but Saul just kept guaranteeing that it is an easy process. He said, Target has this promo with AT&T and once I get the new unit, I don't have to do anything, just return my previous iphone 14 to the AT&T store so I did. It is definitely upsetting learning that AT&T's process is to fill up and get shipping label and box. Saul was on speaker phone and admitted saying: "I don't know why. They used to get your old phone". This made me convinced as AT&T sales rep said, next time, only go direct to AT&T. The fear even set in when I was at Target and Tech staff Saul & London were no longer around. Only Leandra gave me a bit of comfort while talking to tech support. Almost gave the scenario that I might need to leave the new iPhone and not have a service until SOS, and complete refund and cancellation of upgrade is done but it is late night and not sure if we will resolve the problem. I had so many problems to mention but the main situation that I wish no one else experience was documented now. I will not want to deal with this untrained staff ever again and I just want to thank Leandra for providing great customer service. I will await my refund back to the credit card I used, hoping even the insurance I paid for and the system works...eventhough I checked and my iPhone still cannot send pictures to android/Samsung and google pixel, which is another story but I am just exhausted and do not want to transact again. read more

Target is the spot for everything that is needed. I appreciate the way the Target App is so well linked to the aisles throughout the store. The way it gives you a real time location of you inside the store and where the product is you are looking for. I really appreciate the vibe that there is inside of target. The reason for the four stars is because of the drive up order process that they offer. Target says order will be ready in two hours but that is farthest form the truth. when you arrive it rarely takes less than 10-15 min to get your order. I really hope Target can stream line their process better, potentially putting the location close to the entrance exit doors. read more

I went to target this morning to pick up a few items when I over heard you could say, a worker yelling at her employees and talking to them as if they were dogs. This disgusted me. I'm constantly shopping at target for my family of five and always seeing this kind of behavior, the staff at this target does not treat there employees well. I asked for the name of the woman who was yelling and disrespecting her employee and leads name to complain,because no matter what you do,do not scream or even speak to your employees how this woman was. Target is better than Walmart. There. I said it. Change my mind. This is my go to for things that I don't buy online or through Amazon, and when I need something ASAP. They have almost everything, and at decent prices; and, the employees are, for the most part, friendly and helpful. FYI they do price match competitors, so you can't really say Walmart has lower prices lol They often run promos with rotating products on sale and offering a Target gift card with qualifying purchases. The store is clean, well stocked, plus they have a Starbucks in-house. Use the self checkout if you don't have many items- you will usually save some wait time. I did not realize how terrible the customer service and inventory/stock at this Target was until recently. Also, I go to the Kearny Mesa one almost every week and they never fail me. On Thursday, 12/12, I placed an order for a Christmas sweater. I selected the "pick up from store" option and selected Eastlake, and it was scheduled to arrive by Tuesday, 12/17. I thought to myself, "PERFECT! My work holiday party is on Thursday, 12/19!" Come Tuesday, I don't receive a confirmation email. I look at the tracking information and it states that it's been delivered and last seen in Chula Vista. I go into the store around 5pm the next day and inquire about my order. So the worker tells me that my item is in the store. I ask for elaboration, and she radios her supervisor for further clarification. Her supervisor states how the inventory team has not gotten to it yet because they are so busy. So she tells me that it is, "In the back, in a box somewhere and has not been processed." I asked when it would be processed simply because I purposely ordered this item with a plan. She further mentions that the store closes at 11pm and I will probably get a confirmation email before then. I ask if she is positive I will receive an email, and she claims, "99% sure" multiple times. I did not receive an email. Come Saturday, the original scheduling of Tuesday, 12/17, to a time frame of Tuesday, 12/17-Saturday, 12/21, turns into Tuesday, 12/17-Wednesday, 12/25. WHAT. THE. HECK. I can't even cancel the order yet either because you have to wait until the order is available for pickup before you can do so, which is pointless. I call on Saturday, 12/21 and got disconnected 3 times. I had to keep calling back and it was pretty frustrating. Over the phone, the guest services worker told me that my item has not been shipped to the store yet and it is a matter of when the store that currently carries it is going to ship it. She told me she has no control over this, which I understand, but I told her what the original workers told me and she claimed to have called a supervisor, but the call kept getting disconnected so I didn't get an answer. I go to the store later that day and explain to the worker my situation. He tells me that they currently do not have the item in store, and reiterates what the guest services worker told me. I reiterate what the original worker told me. He said he did not know what to tell me and mentioned that I could get my money back. Then moments later, he told me he couldn't cancel the order or give me my money back yet. I asked if it was because it's not available for pickup yet (per section 5 of this review), and he said yes. DO YOU KNOW POLICY? On the last day of scheduling, Wednesday, 12/25, I receive an email stating that my order has been canceled. Though it was a simple Christmas sweater that was $10, it was the principle. This was the most frustrating experience. There was miscommunication as the workers were telling me different answers, and some did not even know what to tell me. Then my order gets CANCELED. I ordered a Christmas sweater BEFORE Christmas for a reason, Target. And what if this was a present!? This location is the worst. read more
