This location is close to mama and papa dukes. There is always more than enough parking, although, getting inside is another structure. I like going through the east side to avoid going through that 3 way stop (by Island's). They have everything I need in this location. And if they don't, their competitor (Walmart) is just down the street. I like this location. I've been here during Black Friday and I managed to find parking and didn't have to walk too far. The Drive-Up pickup process was incredibly easy and super convenient. I ordered my stuff last night and it was available for pickup this morning at 7am! I checked in on the Target app and as soon as I arrived an employee was out with my order. They recommissioned a dozen parking spots for Drive-up orders, so it made the entire experience pretty stress free. I'll be doing this again. read more

Not sure who's bright idea it was to "remodel" and add an Ulta inside. There is an Ulta down the street...why ruin the target and cram everything together to accommodate something that was not needed?! I went in and could not find half of the items I was looking for. They've done away with aisles and put up weird space saver type clumps of shelves. It is terrible and nothing is easily accessible, even if you can find where things were moved to. I'm done. Not sure where to start with this but yesterday November 5,2022 my wife child and I were shopping at this target and we went to the back of the store where the Christmas decorations are located we walked through all of the aisles browsing and the last aisle we looked in was the ornament aisle my wife was in front of me and my child was in the seat In the shopping cart I was in the back of them following and all of a sudden I heard one ornament fall to the ground and I looked behind me and as I looked all of the ornaments shot off the shelfs crashing to the ground I checked the next aisle and it was completely Empty. Unfortunately this is my local target. Store is never stocked! Pick up orders are ridiculous! I've waited many times for more than 20 min. Today was the icing on the cake. I got to the store at 5:10 and waited until 5:55 to get out of my car and ask the employee about my order. At this point I had already seen a few cars get there after me and leave before me. She was beyond rude, told me that next time I could go inside the store for my order and wanted to argue on my arrival time. Thankfully Chloe was another employee working the drive up orders. New Management needed!!! Every time I come to this target bad service and no customer service. Missing item in the pick up and the two girls giving the orders out skipped me 6 times. I had to get out of my car to say excuse me I was here before all 6 of those cars. Then the girl checked me off before my items even came out. I overheard him speaking to one of his employees as if degrading them What is the only way to manipulate his employees to do the work the way he deemed necessary. I felt very uncomfortable with the position he placed me in all I needed was to to buy toothpaste. I did not feel it was necessary to undermine and discipline his employees in front of A loyal customer like me. Curbside pickup was an absolute nightmare. Ordered 4 items from the target app for curbside pickup and was told it would be ready in less than 2 hours and that I would get an email/text when ready. After 3 hours of waiting I called the store to ask if it was ready- 2 separate departments never answered. I finally decided to just drive over because the store was going to close in an hour and I needed my items before the next day. The lady at the pick up counter was extremely unfriendly and did not care whatsoever. She told me they were backed up more than 6 hours. When I asked about the phones she said "like I said we're busy". She barely made eye contact with me during the interaction and made me feel like she was dismissing my concerns. I ended up cancelling my orders for pickup and finding the items in the store myself. (I usually would have gone into the store myself but I'm a front line worker and am too tired after my nursing shifts) I understand businesses are short staffed but that's no excuse to be rude to customers. I would have completely understood if they were too busy to do curbside pickup, but if that's the case I should have been notified it would be late or never able to place an order in the first place. The app definitely needs to be updated so false timing won't be a problem in the future. I won't be ordering curbside pick up from here any longer- I'll be sticking with Walmart for my curbside pickup orders in the future. read more

One of my all time go to's beside the Target in old Chula Vista. I do like this one better for the parking, however, they do not have a pharmacy at this location and it is never not busy. The customer associates are friendly and they just got new shopping carts (that's how much I shop there). I don't know what to say.... I'm sucked into the Target vortex, and there's no getting out. But God I miss the days before self-checkout. Today, there was a HUGE line at the one checker who was open. There were two other cashiers, but they had their lights off and were trying to leave and do other stuff. Someone dared to ask one of the cashiers to stay open and she got a ration of poop in return. (I'm not blaming the cashiers. I'm blaming the management for deciding one cashier is enough to service a giant store and pressuring the other cashiers to get other work done on their shifts.) I understand self check out saves money for the store and for a select few, it may be preferable to interacting with a real human. But for at least half of the customers, check out with a human is far preferable--maybe they have a disability, kids to keep track of, a lot of items, alcohol, etc. For the love of God, staff your check out lanes. read more

I love this target! It's a smaller location which is perfect for a neighborhood store. I moved from Point Loma. Which had a huge target on sports arena blvd. Yet they seemed to always be out of stock on everything. And the people were rude. That's when you were able to actually find someone to help you. This location is the complete opposite. Honestly I loved coming here until the other night I witness two workers from target coming out from Nightshift to their cars when out of the sudden, one of them grabs a cart and pushes it to a black SUV. The cart did hit the car and he proceeded to just get in his car. I confronted him about it, he said straight up it was his friends car that's why I hit it and I said well if that your friend that's not a good example to put out there mostly because he works there ! I did tell him I was going to report him the following day. When I went to target to ask, I got helped by two very polite females but when they got my information, I got contacted by the security footage and they pretty much told me that it didn't look like that in the video and and to me, I honestly felt like they called me a liar ,I honestly don't think that's the way to treat your customers. At the end, I pretty much just said OK because you can just feel that they didn't care because because I got told more than one person saw the video, but it's funny to me that cart still stayed next to the car proof for them. Target is usually known as the upper Walmart. But non the less I see it as a regular shopping center with the exception that it's red and smells of popcorn when walking in. The parking is vast as usual since it's a good size shopping center and there is various shopping cart spaces for people that don't want to walk far after stocking up tgeir car (even if lazy people still leave their cart in the lot). Once arriving there are various employees that are happy to help. The layout is just as usual from all other Targets and as I stated before the smell of popcorn is satisfying when walking in. There is mostly everything you need here from clothing, entertainment, kids accessories, food and many other things. There are plenty of registers for checking out so there's not usually a line for check out. There are bathrooms for everyone and if you're in the mood for something to eat there are various restaurants around this location. read more

I love coming to this Target location. It's pretty huge! There's even a grocery section here. We came here to pick up a few things. My daughter ended up getting some toys. I picked up a razor and shaving cream. There were certain things on sale. They have a lot of selection and the store is pretty clean. You can never walk out of Target without buying something. If you have a Target credit card, you save 5% of your total on your receipt. I managed to find everything I need here. There's plenty of parking in front of Target.
