For my 100th review I was waiting to find a place with great customer service and yummy food. Well here it was! We arrived and ordered ice cream with our little ones. It was a delicious experience. The store was clean the young ladies were kind. Everything you would expect on a family outing searching for a sweet treat. Yes, a little pricey, but today it was worth it. Had the worst customer experience on 07/16 at around 9:40pm. I've live in Eastlake all my life and visited this location hundreds of times but from the moment I walked in not only was I not greeted, I wasn't acknowledged until I spoke. The girl without glasses was who served me (of the two associates) and while I understand I came in during pre-closing, the store is still open, why should I be treated any less than another customer? She didn't say anything at all besides confirming my order and if I wanted my receipt. She threw her serving spoon into the sink after finishing my friend's order as well. I also work late nights and customer service too but this? She was so so rude for absolutely no real reason at all and I will definitely be sharing my experience here. read more

Last night around 9:15, my friend and I went to order the new Dubai Chocolate Sundae (which apparently they didn't have even though there were signs all over) and we were not greeted whatsoever. One of the girls who was working had an airpod in and was just waiting around not even asking us if we were ready. She had a blank stare, didn't even look at us. I had to ask her if she was ready for us, even though they were clearly not busy. We asked if we could get the sundae and she said they didn't have the flavor. I understand places run out of things or don't have it. I also understand that people have bad days. I just did not appreciate the service we were given and the attitude that the girl had. It was very unprofessional. read more

I went here one night at 9:45, which i realize is late because they close at 10, but not late enough to make an order that would push them past closing. i asked for two shakes which seemed to really inconvenience the two workers when we ordered them. She tried to ring us up after handing us the two shakes and i stopped her and told her we were going to order two more, to which she rolled her eyes, sighed in my face, and then proceeded to rudely ask what flavors for the last two. When we finally finished with checking out, we were ONE FOOT out the door when she sighed very very loudly, practically yelled. Then when we were NOT EVEN FIVE FEET AWAY from the facility she yells "you've got to be f**king kidding me!!". In case you guys didn't know, we can hear you perfectly from right outside! Maybe you're right though, how DARE we inconvenience YOU with doing YOUR JOB within WORKING HOURS at YOUR WORKPLACE that YOU applied to work at. If Alyssa is your server, run in the other direction fast, before she can roll her eyes in your face. read more

I ordered a chocolate Oreo ice cream cake 9" round on 6/21/23 I received the confirmation number via text and the store charged me $49.99 for it. Today I went to the store to pick up the cake and for my surprise they didn't have it. The employees went back and forth with questions that didn't make no sense. Long story short I have to pay for another cake because they NEVER found it. I'm going to file a claim to get my money back. This is the second bad experience with Baskin Robin. I rarely comment on ice cream joints and I've been at this location at least 2 times a month but tonight was particularly busy. Trinity was getting slammed as she was taking care of a big order before and her partner was handling the mobile orders. When she got to us she was very professional even when more people came in as well as her partner and she took good care of us. In fact I've been getting the banana royale every time I come in, same style with nutty coconut ice cream. But no joke or as the kids say nowadays, no cap, hers was the best One made. Like I said I rarely comment on ice cream places but me and my sister enjoyed our experience tonight. Thank you Trinity! read more

I am not a ice cream guru but I did enjoy their ice cream (had basic flavors the day I went). The flavor that I wanted they didn't have the day I went and the Oreo and cream was just about out but I made due with getting one scoop of the Oreo and the other scoop was chocolate chip cookie dough. Since I got two scoop I did get a free waffle cone. Also ordered a Reese's cup sundae (wasn't as pretty as the picture) but was told it was delicious. They offer ice cream of course, milkshakes, sundaes, cakes and cookies you can make into a cookie ice cream sandwich! The building is small but they were able to accommodate several people that were flowing in. They have sitting areas inside and have a few sitting tables outside as well. They offer military discount when you show ID. They also have a discounted price when you come in on the 31st of each month. read more

Okay, the flavor of the month was "Boston Cream Pie!" What else needs to be said. It was delicious, that's what needs to be said. For reals, I imagine "Boston Cream Filling flavored mousse ice cream, chocolate ice cream, and pound cake pieces all wrapped together with a chocolate swirl." (Baskin Robbins, 2018). That chocolate swirl so much reminded me of that chocolate ganache that coats a traditional Boston Cream Pie. I thought the ice cream was very successfully, and yes I felt like I was eating a slice of pie. The pound cake was the cake and the mousse ice cream was the filling! Great stuff and great idea! read more

This was absolutely the worst experience ever. We ordered two single scoop ice cream and a small (regular) shake. I have been going to Baskin Robbins but never to this location. My shake (if I can even call it a milkshake) does not taste good, is watery, and does not have the right flavor that I asked for. I asked for half Jamoca and half Chocolate. The employee immediately said no, yet the owner said it was okay. However, the employee still did not do it. I am very disappointed. read more

If I had the option to give no stars to the girls who work here I would. Are you kidding me? For my birthday I came here and got not one but two free scoops and didn't even have to show my ID or the app. Came 25 minutes out here for my brothers birthday today and they couldn't find it in their hearts to give him a scoop for free. Used to be one of the small things our family looked forward to each birthday because we love Baskin. Guess not anymore! Try hiring some girls who can show compassion and maybe we'll come back. The ice cream sundaes and banana boats are great, service was excellent and indoor ambiance was good.

Been by here just a couple times... Lots of flavors to choose from... You can also get sundaes, Ice cream sandwiches, shakes, and smoothies.. Currently here on a Thursday evening after 9pm and there's been a steady flow of customers.. The kids working have been friendly and helpful with offering samples and taking our orders.. It's small, a row of small tables along the wall and a couple tables outside. It's clean. This time around, I ordered a scoop of Snickers, bits of the candy bar and thick swirls of caramel. This ice cream (and the rest of their ice cream in general) is pretty sweet. Super duper sweet. Their kid scoop probably would've been enough for me!... I ordered an ice cream cake from here a few months ago.. One of the "ready to go" cakes in the freezer. I wasn't a huge fan of it at all. Still my fav ice cream place & now my fav location for ice cream & fav Baskin Robbins. My kids & a lot of people love NuYo or Cold Stone or other places but not me. I like keeping it Old School & just get some good Ol Baskin Robbins & a Chocolate Chip Sugar cone baby! Frozen Yogurt from Nuyo? Nah, that's too healthy for me, just give me some real ice cream man! And the Ice Cream Cakes here are on point! And I like buying the little buckets of Chocolate Chip they sell to take home. Yeah it's a little pricey (I remember it being cheaper) but hey it's worth it. I'm glad I found this location cuz a lot of Baskin Robbins have gone under & the ones left are pretty gettho but not this one. This one is real chill & nice & they got seats & tables to eat outside on sunny days. The times I've been here the customer service has been good & friendly. The kids working here are always nice, Ice cream with a smile what else can you ask for! (Well they can turn down the heater down a little inside it can be stuffy inside at times). I mainly come here at night by myself right before I go to the gym so that way I can burn it off right away & I won't feel guilty for eating great ice cream. An extra 5 min on the bike at the gym will make my guiltiness go away. I will continue to come back with or without my kids & if my kids come they know I don't share my icecream. Baskin Robbins - My girls enjoying Cotton Candy Ice Cream! And they didn't want to share with me.... - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Chula Vista, California

What's there to say about the 31 flavors offered by this national brand? Not much. Ice cream is ice cream. If you don't like 1 thing, try another. If you don't want ice cream, have a milkshake. And if you're lactose intolerant, what are you doing with your life? Get out of here! As for this particular location, it's okay? Small area. Staff could be nicer. These kids make it obvious they don't want to work the closing shift. Besides that, clean place. Good options. Nice location in the Eastlake shopping center across from Target in Chula Vista. Walk in. Treat yourself. Enjoy. read more

I wouldn't say this is the best ice cream that I've had, but if you need ice cream and want the experience of someone scooping ice cream for you, Baskin Robbins is the place to go. They are literally everywhere! They now make these super cute creations to make the ice cream look like a mermaid, unicorn, or monster. I thought it was a great marketing ploy to keep the youngsters asking for mom and dad to take them to Baskin Robbins. The staff was nice as always. read more

We came here for ice cream since that's all my daughter could eat. She had a dental procedure done since she had like two cavities. At this point, my daughter couldn't even sit up. We managed to help her. Anyway, I got one scoop of cherries jubilee. It was pretty good with chunks of cherries in it. My daughter had the cotton candy flavor. She loved her ice cream. I love ice cream on any day. I got to sample this flavor. I forgot what the flavor was but it was pretty good. I almost got cookies and cream or praline. I love all the ice cream flavors here. It depends on what mood I'm in for ice cream. There's a few tables along the side of the wall and a single restroom in the back. The ladies working here were nice and very informative. I would definitely come back here if I'm in the area. Good place for ice cream! read more

I totally understand working retail and fast food. However, this location closes at 10pm. I arrived at 9:45pm the door was locked. When the staff member came to the door they said "we are closed" I asked if they close at 10pm and the staff person said "we close at 10pm but we need to clean up" I asked does your store close before 10pm and they were rude and just stood there. I don't understand why customer service is so terrible. I am a patient and kind person...but if your store closes at 10pm they should still provide service. Unless the policy is they stop serving ice cream before 10pm. I've been to BR plenty of times around this time. It's ice cream! read more

This location deserves a 5-star review ONLY when Arlene and Trinity are there. Arlene somehow makes the ice cream shakes taste better than when others make shakes, and both Trinity and Arlene are consistently friendly and provide superb customer service. Their other coworkers tend to cater to customers who come into the shop AFTER the customers who have been waiting patiently for their turn in line (it has happened on several occasions, unfortunately). This location is usually well-stocked with ice cream flavors, frozen bananas, and cakes. And unrelated, but their restroom is clean and spacious--an underrated feature that is much appreciated. read more

Ordered my first cake from here & I loved it. Came out exactly as I expected it to. I love how you can pick out what kind of ice cream you want & you can also pick from white or chocolate bread. I got the white cake with the pistachio almond ice cream & everyone loved it. Not too sweet. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because I wish the tray that holds the cake was slightly bigger I had a hard time picking the cake off the table without getting frosting on my hands or messing up the decoration. I had to use a knife to left it up in order to slide my hand underneath it. You can order ahead online just make sure it's at least 24 hours in advance. read more

Came to this place to get a scoop of ice cream! Well its seem like they girl that served the ice cream payed for it! At first I thought maybe she gave me child size scoop by mistake. I ordered a custom cake online. When I went to pick it up, I walked in at the same time as another lady with her kids. They went to the end of the counter to look at flavors. Since I had already paid for the cake online, I stood near the cash register where 2 young female employees were standing. One was helping another family and the other had just finished a transaction. She looked right at me, and without saying a word, turned around, walked to the other end of the store yelling "I can help whoever's next" and then immediately asked the other lady how she could help them, without even an acknowledgment to me. That family obviously wasn't ready and took their time picking flavors. The employee kept making eye contact with me but refused to say, "We'll be with you in a minute" or act like she even cared about my business. After about 5-10 minutes (and no one else in line), the other employee asked if she could help me. I told her I was picking up a cake I ordered online. She came back with the box and passed it over the counter, above the other customer's head who was barely paying, and just said, "Thanks." When I've previously ordered at this store, they've always opened the box to make sure everything was correct. I took the cake to an empty spot on the side of the counter to open it and look at it. I wasn't satisfied with the sloppy handwriting and noticed it looked off from the pic online, but I didn't have time nor feel like I would get any type of decent service from these two. When I got home and pulled the cake out completely, I couldn't believe how sloppy and ugly it looked. The cake in the picture had distinct stripes on the side. This looked like they had just smeared another color all over the sides. The cake online had five pretty roses on the top. This cake had 4 sloppy swirls of frosting with red dots in the middle of the swirls (red doesn't even match the cake!!). The handwriting was crooked and sloppy and there was a patch of discoloration under the name. I was embarrassed to show this to my daughter-in-law who I had bought it for. To top it off, the cake was extremely dry and bland. I will never come back to this store. read more

PLEASE educate your staff that infection control and cleanliness is paramount to a food service. I was a customer on Friday, May 15, 2015 at approx. 8:45 PM. There were three employees. After we were served, two began eating ice cream while standing next to the ice cream coolers (who does this?!) and then proceeded to NOT wash hands (huge mistake) before scraping the bottoms of an ice cream tub onto the tops of a new ice cream tub that had been placed in the cooler...then cut bananas for a banana split when NO customers besides us were in the store (I can only imagine employees were going to eat that next). Though the store looked clean, this was disgusting. I'm sure they know to eat out of customer sight in the back and always wash hands for a multitude of reasons, but tonight, I personally witnessed this not happening. read more

I never really would go to Baskin Robbins, but once this location opened, I started going quite often. I've had everything from a cone, to a sundae, and even a shake.
