Although the place itself was fine and clean, the food itself was decent. I had a strawberry raspado. It tasted like food dye and sugar, no strawberry at all. My friend had the corn in the cup, she mentioned it tasted like it came out of a can. However my other friend that had their chips and ice cream said they were delicious. I come to this place every other day for my lunch and it's always the same thing that I have to wait 10 to 15 minutes to get my order due to the line being long. The reason why the line is long is due to that there is always only one worker in the front taking orders. I think that it would help having multiple works out front to get the line going. read more

A bit further down is ice cream, which I can fully attest to its goodness. The staff was friendly. Now, this is a Spanish business, mainly Latinx customers. I practiced my Spanish and threw in some English. Either would have been ok, but if you can, try your Spanish. It's a safe place to practice. The cheesecake ice cream is soooo good. This place is delicious! BEST Horchata! BEST Paletas! BEST Mangonadas! I got a Sandia Mangonada and it was DELICIOUS and the best I ever had. They also have regular ice cream they'll make shakes smoothies and I'll kinds of other Mexican ice cream treats. If you go on Instagram the owner is a third generation Heladodura which is a professional ice cream maker. The vibe here is fun and they have a large open space for seating. The whole place is colorful and decorated well. The TVs display the menu items. Combo specials, and highlight events. Pay attention to the menu for great offers sometimes that flash on the screen. I really like this place, a lot of good things but also a few flaws but they are kind of new & I'm sure they'll fix the kinks & get better & faster. But for now a solid 3 stars it is & that's good. They have a lot of different items to get from drinks to paletas, ice cream, Tosti Lokos, Chamangos & other items. The many choices of Ice cream are great, my favorites are cajeta, Tres Leches, pina & bubblegum. That Cajeta is on point & addictive! Tosti Lokos were good but it had mango which I'm not use too & it was mushy, next time I'll ask no mango extra cucumber & the chaca chaca in it is a bit hard. The chamango was good but the mango seem a bit mushy again, like it was puréed. Maybe cut the mango in bigger chunks. Tho the girls were nice the wait can be awhile, both times they were slow, so if you come plan too wait a bit & don't come starving because you will get hangry. But for the most part it's a good little Mexican desert/food spot & the kids like it so we'll be back for sure & get a Mexican banana split next time. read more

May 5th 8:51pm.... ( they close at 10pm) Went in to get some ice cream. Keep in mind 3 other families were inside eating. The young lady with the long ponytail asks if she can help me. I said yes I would like to get some ice cream. She tells Me .... "Yes, but only to go...ok?". I said " we would Like to eat here . There is over an hour before you close". She tells me no it's not possible. I ask why then all of a sudden she doesn't speak English. I ask for a manager . One of the girls accidentally says a name. The other in Spanish chastise her for saying the name. Then I say who can I talk to and I get " oh, I don't know". I ask for their names they say " huh , my name ? Oh I dont know ". Now all Of a sudden you don't speak English and Don't have names. I wish I could post the video. Unfortunately it doesn't give options form a video. I never usually leave reviews but this place was bad. For starters the tv's were down so no pricing was shown on any of their items. The ice cream had no flavor and it was melted when I got it. Mangoneadas were pre-made and sitting in the freezer. That was weird. Don't know how they make their nieve de Limon but that's not how it's supposed to taste. Maybe I got a bad batch? This place has changed decor, mostly furniture decor in the restaurant... no more are those bright colored booths in the middle of the restaurant... it is a larger open floor plan with a couple of tables... slightly in the middle of the restaurant. Of course at first glance, you see no line and think "awesome" it's going to be an "in and out" visit as you see only one person in line... but you would be wrong. There needs to be a minimum of two people working here at all times... I assumed that she was helping them and then it later became apparent that she was actually helping a group who sat down. There is no "greeting" when you first arrive and you are left to guess why it takes so long. I get that it's fresh and it does take time to make each item... but you can't expect that customers are going to want to wait. Nobody has 20-30 minutes to wait for agua frescas or nieve. Maybe that is why the line is no longer out the door. The sad part is the nieve and drinks are good, and the worker did apologize, but that shouldn't be on her. She was working as fast and she could with what orders she had AND ringing up every person at the register before handling the next persons order. Most other times I've come here, it's been 2 employees working and other in the background and it takes soooo long for the line to move at all. I am glad they made more space inside but it is the amount of time to make the items, mot time everyone is coming in as a family or a group of friends... which means multiple things from food to drinks. Customer service needs improved still and actual sufficient employees working, if not the owner should be on the register or helping. read more

I highly highly recommend this place for the soul purpose that the food is as authentic as the ones in Mexico. La Michoacana Plus has so many dessert options. I was at a lost, not knowing what to order. I chose two shakes (strawberry/banana and chocolate) and a banana split. I was sharing with my family. The customer service was great and the atmosphere (even during covid restrictions) was very energetic. Everything was delicious.
