What poor service! Rude and unprofessional counter clerks! Today, around 2:30 pm, me and another customer were waiting in line while three employees weee behind the counter. One was helping a customer and the other two were on their cell phones. Neither of them looked up to see if customers were in line. I asked, "Are either of you working?" The older Latina looked up begrudgingly, "No! I dunno if she is!" The younger Caucasian girl looks up at me and looks back down on her phone. If they are off the clock, have them wait in back. This is one of the closest gas stations in the area where I live. It's not too bad. The only issue is that its right in the corner and there's usually an abundance of traffic since it's right next to the Main Street. Non the less it's ok. Once arriving you will probably notice a wait for the pumps depending on the time you arrive. There a good amount of pumps and the cleanliness of the establishment is decent (nothing to complain about). As for the price I believe they raise it a little since there isn't really another gas station in the area, so I believe they raise the prices for that reason. The mini store inside is just like other gas stations with their drinks and snacks to choose from. I believe the good thing about this location is that it does have free air and water for your car, so there's a good note. read more

Went inside to purchase gas and the manager Karla was their cleaning and restocking while a line of 9 to 10 people waited because the current cashier was assisting a diff customer. Who was in the mist of a long process of cashing in his scratchers. I asked her can you please help him theirs a line she goes yea i know. Then after she starts helping the line i said ill wait for him she goes i wasnt offering you help. Then she tells me i dont know what your problem is?. I said you see a line you help out thats good customer service. She is extremely rood and should not be a manager with that type of attitude. You dont treat people like that especially a paying customer. She left her fellow teammate dealing with all the Chaos and didnt bother to lend a hand. That is not leadership. If I could give this place zero star I would. I had problems getting a car drive through car wash from this place last year but I guess I didn't learn my lesson and I based my car wash decision on convenience of location. I went to pay for it with my card and the car wash died before it even started. It just went to dryer. I went and took my 13 month old out of her car seat, went inside with my baby and reported the issue. I am so livid at how I was treated. The person in charge Adriana acted as if I was a swindler. Immediately asked "how do I know that that's what happened?!" And I when I asked if she had a way to look at transactions lo and behold there was a way! This is going to be the first of many negative reviews from me until Chevron Corp. gets their insurance company, Broadspire to respond to my claim. Next review will include more detail, but just to give you a snapshot of the conflict I experienced with this location, I went through the car wash with my new car, came out, noticed my roof racks were discolored due to the chemicals used in the tunnel. I filed a claim, and their insurance company concluded that there was insufficient evidence that their car wash cause the damage to my roof racks, even though surveillance showed me going through the car wash. Getting in and out of this gas station is a humongous pain in the rear. There needs to be a better way to manage the traffic in and out. After the renovation, some of the pumps don't work right. I was using pump 10; I had to use both hands to get it to work. I had to use one hand to forcefully push the nozzle in, and use the other hand to pull on the trigger to pump gas. HORRIBLE customer service! I was trying to exchange my Gatorade this morning and it became the biggest show. I didn't have a receipt because I said I didn't need one when I purchased 2 Gatorade's and I guess that was my downfall. They told me they needed to look up my transaction to do an exchange it up on the computer. I didn't think it was going to be so difficult. They had poor Jenny looking transaction by transaction because their system is old (their words). I feel like if I told them I didn't ask for a receipt they would have had Jenny looking in the trash for my receipt. Even the other cashier had a face of pity for Jenny because they had her tapping the screen looking one receipt at a time- it had only been 15 minute!, I only went to wal mart and came back. I would have just bought another one but I didn't have my wallet. What really sent me over the edge was the so called manager talking about me a couple of feet away. She told another staff member "people usually know what they want when they pay". It felt like she thought I didn't speak English bc I was speaking Spanish and wouldn't understand what she was saying. REALLY?I was speaking Spanish because the staff speaks Spanish! This came from the "manager"! which is so unprofessional. Not leadership actions. Disrespectful. After 5 minutes I just had to stop Jenny's torture- it wasn't her fault and I told her I didn't want to waste her time. I stopped by here to get gas on my way home. Their prices are higher than some of the other stations around but not by much, so the convenience was worth, since I was just a block away. Anyways, the ATM machine thing was easy enough to use, but don't take your time because people seem to get frustrated if you take to long pumping your gas. I HATE this gas station. Want to know why? I'll tell you. Let's start with the fact that it's always too crowded and the layout makes it so that you get stuck. The computers go down 1-2 times a month meaning the only accept cash. You would think they'd put a sign out but no. They just sit inside until you come in then tell you. If you don't have cash, too bad. The pumps themselves are usually broken so that you have to hold the handle down 1/4 of the way. If you squeeze too hard, it trips. I found that out the hard way when I though I had filled up but only had 1/2 tank. But the real reason I hate this place? The staff are completely rude and unhelpful. I've already talked about how they don't put out signs when the internet is down. Most times I go in, there's 3-4 people behind the register with only 1 register open. Everyone else is standing there talking while the line is 5-6 people deep. I went in today to ask for change for the vacuum ($1.75) and they couldn't do it because they didn't have enough. Mind you, 4 people working, 1 register open, and they were closing one of the other registers. Why do people go there? It's the only station in the area. If there was another station close by, I'd use it. The staff there knows it which is why they don't care. Rarely go inside the convenience store, so won't try to review that. Car wash is eh, ok. Doesn't touch the tires/rims and the dryer's time isn't long enough to adequately dry off a mid-sized car. Gas, it's expensive here but it's the only gas station in Eastlake besides the Chevron at the Target/Lowe's shopping center and the Mobil across the street in the Vons shopping center. We have to take it, regardless. Be wise and fill up during normal work hours. Once you wait until after work, it's crazy. Drivers are fighting each other for gas pumps, trying to sneak their cars around you, encroaching on you as you stand and pump gas. Friday nights after work, don't even bother to fill up. You might just end up with a dent in your car from someone trying to get in or out of the area. I nearly got slammed today. Usually a decent place. Sometimes the line takes a little bit but it's never been so bad that I haven't wanted to wait. This is the closest gas station to me and also the closest place to grab any tobacco or liquor items if I'm just looking for 1 or 2 items and a quick trip. Only annoying part is the bald guy who takes his job way too seriously. I always bring my friend in with me to buy dutches and a truly or a beatbox to sip on. It's never been a problem until baldie asked for both of our IDs in order to make an alcohol purchase. But every time I buy dutches and my friend is with me they don't ask him for his ID. This is the closest gas station to my house, but it drives me nuts when I have to come here because this really not a good gas station. Here is the list of problems this gas-station ALWAYS has: 1. Okay, so I'm guilty of still going here to get gas. I try to avoid people as much as possible, especially the employees. The other night I walk in to buy my girlfriend a Monster. I noticed there were monsters spilled everywhere, so I grab a monster, then talk to the attendant. I kindly let him know that there's a spill in the back of the store, and he looks a little frustrated as he scans my purchases, then says, "hold on a second." The next five or six minutes, this guy goes to clean up the store in the back. A line forms and customers are getting angry at waiting for this guy to finish mopping. You can pump your gas, get a car wash, then a mili second drive to Starbuck's to grab a coffee, then drive accross the street to walk around with your coffee and window shop at the Otay Ranch Shoping Center . The few times I was here the staff was pretty much useless. I remember I tried to use their vacuums (when they had them) and had to break a dollar for change. I walked in to the front counter and asked for change mind you I was the only one there. Someone walked in a second after and the clerk told me to wait until that customer paid for whatever they needed to get which made no sense. In fact a few more people walked in and the clerk told me I would have to wait a bit longer. He made me wait about 10 minutes for something that would have taken 5 seconds to give me change. Needless to say I haven't bought gas here since. In fact I avoid the Eastlake/Otay Ranch gas stations if I can because I found cheaper options by driving slightly further for gas. Not that Chevron has ever really done anything to me, but I am a Costco Gas fan and I feel like I am cheating when I get gas elsewhere.
