For a business expense, I needed a legible receipt from the pump, but didn't get one I could read. Attendant said I could get a reprint inside the store. Not happy to do this, as I was working, but went inside. Customer service rep. wrote down my member ID and disappeared in a back room. After 10 min. I had him paged. Said he's working on it. 10 more minutes, paged him again. Now his supervisor is involved. They can't figure out how to reprint a receipt. She finally comes out and says they can't do a gas purchase reprint for 24 hours because the gas station and warehouse use different systems. WTF?? So I wasted the better part of an hour trying to get a receipt that I should have been able to get at the pump. Nobody knew anything, and they don't communicate. Left hand doesn't know what right hand is doing. TOTAL INCOMPETENCE!! Management needs to get their act together. This was a miserable experience that should never have happened. In this crazy age of inflation and uncertainty ... I can always count on the following: the lowest price gas in all of San Diego is right here (even lower than other Costco locations.... That is their mandate). I can also count on people moving through quickly and with curtesy. I can also count on the helpful attendant, who I learned met her boyfriend at this location (ok, they knew each other from the past, but they reacquainted right here). Smallest Costco gas station located not very far from Chula Vista mall, definitely not gonna get gas here during day time, they only have about 8 rows of, each has 2 gas pumps that fits 4 cars on both sides, it would be a nightmare to get in the line during busy hours, and the tricky part to get back on the road will even harder as on coming traffic on the other side and you only have one exit to squeeze into. The ideal time would be 9-9:30 pm before closing time, they have small spaces but they make up on the gas prices. read more

Why do I keep coming back and why have they not updated the stalls? This one is conveniently... inconveniently located off a main street in Chula Vista, Broadway. Where they no have limited access if you are coming from the south, you need to Make a u-turn and get back in the big line that Leads stretches across and down Broadway. Not to mention coming on a day they are refueling, which is a yeah BUT hope you have time to just sit. It has been a good 15 minutes and there are still 3 cars ahead of me waiting to fuel. The upside, its Costco gas ... so ot is cheaper than other locations im the area but this location seems like a busy location... how is it not updated? They updated the H street location and I feel like adding another gas stall so there is a minimum of 3 would make this location flow much better. Maybe its just me. FYI this location is in the same shopping center as Costco but not next to or in front of Costco, in fact it is im front of Walmart... the design is a bit funky as cones separate the lanes, so trying to gage the fastest one (hint - none are faster) is a bit of a challenge. Going early in the morning makes a lot easier for me to fill the gas before going to work. I'd you go after store opens, weekend or the end of your working hours , you ll like to end up in LONG lines . The bad part is the parking space and lines when it comes to filling the gas. At anytime you plan on refilling the gas at Costco, it is always nice to know which gas tank is vacant or occupied by looking the electronic light. This certainly helps a lot read more

The lowest priced gasoline in Chula Vista. The lines can seem to be too long. But it's not as bad as it looks. The average wait time is 15 minutes or so. It is conveniently located in a parking lot near the Costco Warehouse. There are always one or two attendants to assist you with any service issues. read more

So far the best deal in town is at Costco, There are nay-sayers out there that would insist that you don't get good quality gas when you purchase at Costco. My question is... compared to what? Gas is definitely cheap here, the lines can take up to 15 mins but that not a problem. I don't mind the lines here. Tends to go fast.

I love Costco gas! It's so cheap compared to the other gas stations, but the only catch here is the long lines. Other than that, it's great! The reason why there are long lines is because there are only two stalls per aisle, but what's great about Costco gas is that they have extendable hoses that can be pulled across to the other side of your car. This way you can just pull up to the shortest line, pump your gas, and go! It doesn't matter which side your gas tank is on! But to avoid long lines, go on off times like 10-11am or 2-5pm. You know, the times before work/lunch, after lunch, before rush hour when everyone is on the way home. read more

The crowdedness fluctuates some times it's jammed pack. Then sometimes it like oh shit look the line is short. Either way the gas lanes goes quickly. Love the prices, the time in and out, expect long waiting at peak times (lunch mainly) only two level of octane 87 & 91. I give it three stars because as required by law to offer free air and water to paying customers they fail to comply. Yet they send you to their costco tire center and make another line as if you were to inquire about new tires, wait for your turn just to ask the attendant for air, then wait for your turn again for the next spot available to bring your car into the garage. It's always hella busy here unless one comes very early or very late, but then, what does one expect when the prices are consistently some of the lowest in the area? Personally, I don't mind the lines, because they move quickly enough and the price is right. Costco Gas is comparable to other affordable gas stations nearby, within a few cents difference, but Costco is usually the thriftier option. If a car in front of you is taking a long time to pump, the attendants will usually wave you around to the pump in front of them if it opens up (if you haven't pulled around on your own already), since there are 2 pumps per line. The extendable hoses can also be pulled across to the other side of your car if your tank is on the "wrong" side, so you can usually just select the shortest line no matter which side your gas tank is on, to get through more quickly than you could at gas stations with non-extendable hoses. I've never needed their assistance, but if you need help with something, there are usually 1-2 attendants walking around cleaning off the keypads, waving cars into open pumps, and helping out anyone who needs it. That's more service than most gas stations provide! read more

Not the best gas station for Costco, but it'll beat the one in Mission Valley. In my opinion, this is the second worse defined by its location. When you enter in, the line can get really bad and it'll end up in a street lane, but thankfully, it's not a busy one like the Costco in Mission Valley. I'm surprised this is one of the few Costco gas station that has 2 gas pumps in each "lane", most of the Costco locations have 3 gas pumps in each lane. This place is like a rip in the space time continuum. Costco Gas here is defies logic because it is so awesome. This gas station exists in an area that has Costco, Walmart, Big Lots, AND Target all within two blocks! Don't kill yourself yet. Yes, I know all of these stores cause traffic to be "nuts to butts" and trying to get parking in any one of the stores will make you reconsider your faith in humanity. Somehow, this gas station is always running smoothly and the line is well organized. This is probably based off the two usually guys I see. The filipino guy and the mexican guy (sorry, I don't know your names) are always respectful and helpful. Despite the labyrinth you must negotiate to get here (crazy traffic in the area, the weird location which seems to be in the armpit of the parking lot), once you are in line you are good to go. For the most part, people obey the attendants and the premises is usally douche free. I am talking about people acting like d-bags, but as far as any real douching going on, I have yet to conduct enough research. The only negative (minus 1 star) is that there is usually one broken pump. This is either a mechanical problem or a card reader problem. This gas station is usually cheaper than thew Navy base and the line is always shorter than H St. If you are feeling frisky, this gas station is definitely worth the demolition derby it takes to get here. read more

If you are traveling to Mexico and a fan of cheap gas then look no further than this Costco Gasoline station which is a stone's throw away from Mexico. My friend and I were on a daytrip to Baja and before heading out I did a little research and found this Costco Gasoline using my handy dandy Yelp application on my Iphone. This Costco Gasoline station is no different than others. These pumps were positioned which would allow a long line of folks to lineup and wait their turn. This Gasoline station is also located in a parking lot with a Wal-Mart, Starbucks and several others stores. On the day of our visit my friend and I were heading out directly from the gas station across the border and wanted to load up as much gas as possible, mission accomplished. I found the gas prices on the day of our visit to be $0.15 - $0.20 cents cheaper than the surrounding station. The pump I used seemed to be new and I had zero problems with the pump reading my Costco card and/or debit card. I only add that information because of past issues at other Costco Gasoline station where no matter what you did the pump could not read card (s). I will be heading back to Baja soon and when I do I will make sure to hit the Gas station up right before hand. During the time of my visit the pumps were manned by a Costco employee who was walking around and asking customers who were moving slowly or unfamiliar with operating Costco pumps if they needed assistance which I thought was nice. read more

Everyone is here that lives in the Southbay, filling up, creating traffic, and the huge line becomes to stressful!
