But the gas prices...OMG!!!. Some of the highest l found for this area. 3.89 per gal. for reg. gas paying cash. I made sure I got just enough gas to find a more reasonable priced gas station. Again, the gas station is modern, big and has a 7-11 onsite but in my opinion the gas prices are too high. I am only going to give a rating of 3 stars.

I like this location because it's clean. It also has a car wash where you can just drive through. You can either pay at the pump if you use your credit card or right before the entrance of the car wash. You can also go inside the 7-11 to pay the clerk for the car wash. If you show your card, you get a stamp. If you fill up your card, you get a free wash. After you get your car wash, you can vacuum your car. The vacuums are located near the entrance of the car wash . I come here because it's the only Shell close to IB. It's right near the 5 north. You can't miss it. My only gripe is coming in and out of the gas station. I normally exit the back way to avoid all the traffic going on the freeway.

Though not the cheapest gas in the South Bay (today unleaded regular was going for $4.49 /gallon,) Shell does offer good quality gas and you get a discount on the Plus or Works car washes if you put in at least 8 gallons of gas or more. This Shell also offers a convenience store, if you want to stock up on munchies and drinks before you hit the road. The car wash is not bad and I like that they have those soft bristle brushes at the end which gently caresses your now clean car, dry. The only reason I deducted 1 YELP STAR from this Yelp is because it kind of is lame that Palm Shell Carwash is right across the street from a really low-priced AM / PM Arco gas station on Palm Ave. This station usually beats the Palm Shell Carwash price by sometimes .15-.20 cents per gallon! I suppose if you have the time and the initiative, it pays to shop around down there for reasonably-priced gas. The car wash discounts are nice added incentives to fill it up with that blend of nitrogen-enhanced Shell gasoline that I know my car seems to love so well.

Not much to say about this gas station other than that it's refurbished (for lack of a better…read moredescription). Now USA Gasoline, but formerly AM/PM it now has new pumps and no debit fees. Payments can be accepted both indoor and outdoor. Because it's on the corner near a lot of stores (in particularly the 99 cent store next door), you see a lot of walkers frequently cutting through to get to the other side. Some are potentially homeless. It's not crazy out of control, but I personally would only gas up here in the daylight. It's on the corner not too far from 5N/S freeways. Getting out is tricky. One exit requires a right turn only which means you have to drive down a while before being able to make a u-turn (whomp!). The other exits into 4 lanes at a stoplight and requires that someone lets you in. Not convenient if you need to get over to the left turning lane to access the highways. Le sigh... But hey, if you need gas, you need gas. Prices here are mid-range comparing to other stations in the area. If it's not urgent, feel free to pass it up.
