I had such a great experience at this Vons on 3/30/26! I've been a bit under the weather so I stopped in to grab some meds. One thing I really like about this location is how convenient the set up is for when you need medicine they have a section right up front near the checkout, so you don't have to walk all the way through the store. It made this trip super quick and easy, and thankfully it was exactly where I remembered it. I didn't plan on doing any shopping, but of course I spotted a few good deals and started grabbing more things than what I came for. I didn't even grab a cart since I thought I'd be in and out, so I ended up juggling everything in my hands. That's when an employee noticed and came over with a basket for me because he probably seen me struggling lol. It was such a small gesture, but it genuinely meant a lot and helped so much in the moment. I really wish I caught his name because his customer service was amazing. All this to say, the store was very clean, the workers were friendly, and it's a really spacious location. Definitely a great experience and I'll be coming back! read more

The Vons digital coupons are useless because you can't get internet service in the store. When you show the cashier that there is no service in the store, they are annoyed when you ask them to add the discount code to your order. I shop at least three times a week and cannot get the best price unless I use the app. Since the app will not work in the store, I do not get the member discount. I have shopped at this store for nine years. I only purchase fill-in items and get the bulk of groceries online or at other stores. This store is under stocked with dirty carts and floors. I typically like this store. It's bigger than the others and carries more stock. I go there last Saturday AM and wanted to try their cranberry orange stuffed chicken breasts for $5. Very good deal. Drove 2.5 nearly 3 hours in traffic to visit my Mother who had a traumatic accident. Wanted to picked up a floral bouquet and well, this was the closest place I knew by her home. The floral department had many different beautiful floral arrangements. My daughter picked two out and we wanted to see if both could be arranged together. The cost didn't matter. We also saw a Get Well Soon balloon that we wanted to purchase. Since there wasn't anyone attending there service area, we walked over to Customer Service. Also, no one attending the area. Therefore an employee noticed my daughter & I standing in front of the counter and asked, if we needed something. With the flowers in our hands, I asked if these flowers could be arranged. His response was, 'The floral people have I think already gone home for the day'. Then he went back to bagging groceries. He didn't bother to try and find anyone... or even a manager to assist. Never had a bad experience shopping here. Some workers sometimes can't answer my questions, but it's a lot of the younger ones. Vons ALWAYS has killer meat deals, especially when it comes to the holidays. I typically get my RIBEYE steaks here for $8 which is a steal. They have limits per phone number, but I stock up when I can. A lot of people mention that Costco is cheap for buying steaks, but no way it compares to Vons during the sales. You can get additional discounts by "clipping" the deals via the app. On my visits to Vons, I typically save 50+ % on my groceries. My favorite locations where I've had great shopping experiences are the Eastlake pkwy location and the Otay Lakes Rd! read more

This Starbucks I ordered a Trenta strawberry açai refresher with no ice and asked to it to be topped up. He said it would cost extra. I said that's fine and this is what they gave me. When I tried saying something to him he goes well that's a policy like well you charged me for the extra top off so what's going on? He goes that's a policy. I got then you need to fill it up. He goes no and then try to have me kicked out of the store. I told him if you're not gonna fill it up then reimburse me the extra money that you charged me to top it off. WARNING: Do not join Fresh Pass. Two times in a couple of months after joining Fresh Pass my order has been delivered to the wrong address - despite me including I have 3 red pots at the front door and the cross streets since I live on the corner. It took over 6 weeks to get my credit card refunded on the first wrong delivery. The second 1 is being processed - so who knows. Keep in mind when you join Fresh Pass, some of the fresh items that are in the store are not available, so if you enjoy those items, forget about it, you will need to go to the store. Then you find they are not instock there. While trying to talk to the person (this time Miles) who processes the refund, the phone reception is so bad that you can not understand what is being said. Same was true for the first frustrating time. Also, almost every single order I have made has had at least 1 item unavailable, so good luck trying to buy items to make a recipe without having to return to the store. read more

Never in my 28 years of living have I witnessed such inhumane behavior. I witnessed a young woman struggle to leave the store with her PAID items. The rep held her cart hostage and refused to give her purse back, despite showing a receipt. The entire store was uncomfortable. You could pierce the tensity with a knife. This could have easily been avoided if the staff wasn't just standing around like idiots and making the situation worse. There is such a thing as communication. The store rep in question was a woman with dark hair and I pray that she is being fired as we speak because there is no excuse for such disgusting behavior. This woman had zero empathy and made me feel physically ill with her flagrant lack of respect. The following review is based on my experience with the pharmacy. The staff is great and they're quick. The only main takeaway is the schedule the pharmacy runs on. They have a 30 minute lunch break sometime at noon, from 12:00PM-1:00PM, so you never really know. Aside from that, great customer experience. Store wise, the cell reception sucks(not their fault) but bring back Baja Blast. I need my Baja Blast. Put it in the cooler by self checkout too. Vons is great! It's a good store, what can't be great about that? They have mostly everything you'll need. It's not sold in bulk like others store because some stuff you don't need in bulk and they stuff you do need you can't find at that bulk store. Where I could see improvement is to have more registers open but I completely understand that you need more employees to that. Listen I worked at a Lucky's/Albertson's back in the day and I appreciate anyone who works at these places. For the most part, people suck, and dealing with them sucks even more. People feel entitled and when they're upset, it's not the job of these fine Von's folks to take care of them. If they don't have what you're looking for... go to another store. It's pretty simple. Due to Covid -19 they have a one way in and one way out route. So if you need to get to the veggies or floral shop you can't just walk in and make a right turn and get to the aisle you want. You've got to get your steps in and walk the circumference of the store to get there. I'm here to pick up a package. Few days ago a Vegas hotel sent a message saying I could pick out any wine I wanted since we're in quarantine. So I chose a French Bordeaux and Italy's number one selling Bianco. Then they sent it here. How fab is that? Easy process and pick up. I didn't know this non grocery service was available at this Vons. I love coming to Von's! I'm originally from Texas and Von's is the closest thing that comes to HEB back at home. Love how this grocery store has everything that I need, from food, to drinks, to toiletries. This store is right near my house and is quick and easy to get to. This grocery store is located in a good shopping center with vast parking all around. Once walking in you get a warm nice lighted grocery store with the smells of fresh bread and baking goods also beautiful flowers and balloons to choose from. Row after row there is so much to choose and so many great deals all around. Also make sure you join the Vons Club membership to get amazing discounts and special offers! Sometimes there are multiple customers waiting until an employee finally decides to come out from a door at the back of the meat department. We've been using their delivery svc with no issues x over a year. Suddenly, there are massive problems. 10 days or so ago, no delivery at all. Nobody knew why. We waited all day, it never came, nobody knew why. It took 10 days to get a refund. Last week, 4 items not delivered. As of today, still no refund. Today, they double charged us on 4 items. Once again, it will take a week or 10 days for a refund. I am unable to go into the store to shop so this service was a lifesaver for us and suddenly, nobody knows why but it's completely FUBAR. Husband talked to the store manager, he blamed the fulfilment center, etc etc. At this point, I have to try Ralphs. Of course, I am just out the money for the annual delivery fee at Vons though. Whatever corporate did with the app and the shopping delivery, change it back! read more

This Von's is conveniently located in a plaza situated within Otay Ranch. Plenty of parking. Wide selection of goods, especially fresh quality meat, all with reasonable prices. Best of all, Bridgette is the most amazing cashier I have ever met. She is always pleasant ,positive, energetic, helpful....even when she is very busy .  She always greets you with a big  smile and treats you as a valuable Von's  customer. Your early morning rush will surely be greeted with pleasantries and well wishes for the day by her. She would offer plastic bags, will genuinely ask how are you doing and would always utter a compliment to everyone passing by, whether the teen girl's ponytail, the boy's sports or school project and will show interest on the adult shopper's cooking. She is a multitasker which means she is talking but getting the job done. This grocery I believe has easy self-check-out and has a good space. The items are easy to locate. I've been disappointed by the management here lately. Specifically, rewards/coupons are not being applied to orders and after speaking to a manager about the issue, they are unwilling to help. On two separate occasions I have been told that a manager is either unavailable or the assistant manager is unable to honor coupons if they do not ring up in the system. Absolute abysmal service stood at the deli counter for 10 mins with employees looking at you not trying to help you. Wanted to get a sandwich and some specialty meat. Too busy discussing their daily lives to even be bothered to help with customer service. Same with the bakery almost completely empty with zero assortments to choose from. Management was just standing around and not trying to enforce any type of work ethic. Bridgette the cashier is probably the best thing in the entire store. Make her the manager then we will know customer service will be adhered too. She is phenomenal and is probably the only reason this store receives any type if business. Whomever the manager is needs to be engaged with the employees and customer service. I go here because it is less than a 5 minute walk. I have been shopping at this Vons since they opened and have always been happy with the service the employees provide. Yesterday was an exception and I'm seriously thinking about going to a different store due to the terrible experience I had with a 'manager' a woman, sorry to say. The day before I had purchased a ham and noticed I had been charged the regular price of $4.99 per pound totaling about $30 and not the sale price which was .77 cents per pound. I called Vons to ask what I needed to do and a guy named Michael, who was very helpful and courteous, said all I needed to do was bring my receipt and that they would give me the difference. I returned the next day and asked to speak with Michael. One of the clerks called her manager, a woman, and I explained why I was there. She first said the ham was not at the price I told her--I said I could go and bring the sign that reads .77 cents per pound on the Just4U, which is in the Vons application that I use all the time. Another worker brought the ad showing the price I stated and I also showed her the app on my phone so she could see I had downloaded the offer. That didn't work either. She then tells me that I had to bring the ham to see the weight and that they would give me the credit owed. By then I was upset and I left the store and said 'thanks for nothing' A few hours later I returned with the ham, my receipt and asked for my money back and didn't want the ham anymore. Who has time to be going back and forth with a ham on these days of COVID. I'm 65 years old!!! I told this 'manager' that Michael had said I didn't need to bring the ham and that the problem could have been solved doing some simple math on the cost of the ham if a pound was $4.99 and I'm paying $30. I wasn't going to do the job she needed to do as a manager. the 'manager' said very rudely that Michael was not a manager. Perhaps this Michael needs to be promoted to manager since he was nice and helpful. This so called manager did nothing to help. So dissatisfied. If I ever go back to this Vons I don't want to see this person. Even with a mask I can recognize her. So upset it ruined the plan I had to cook this ham. Who made this woman manager?? She definitely needs to learn skills from fellow employees such as Bridgette or Michael. read more

The store is nice and clean. I like their floral department. The girls that were working helped me out with a question I had regarding a plant I purchased. I wasn't sure about how much water to give it. They also answered my question about how often I should water it. In addition to plants, they sell bouquets, balloons, stuffed animals, and other cool stuff that would make nice gifts. I like going here when I need something like fresh produce. Their produce is usually pretty good, including their organic selection. Be prepared to spend more money here. Their prices are pretty high. However, they have lots of items on special. Sometimes their flyers have coupons. For additional savings, sign up for a Von's Club member. The savings really add up! I wish I could rate this store higher. I rate it 3 stars, because for me, it's uncomfortable to shop at this store due to the freezing temperature inside! Other than that, it's very nice. read more
