Incompetence doesn't do it justice. By far the WORST customer service experience. Over 20 minutes of wait time to pick up prescriptions. Have been on hold for over 30 mins and pharmacy has hung up twice. Spoke to the manager and they just transferred me back on hold. read more

I love this Walgreens! It's so conveniently located! Every time I go here I find what I need, and their store brand offers huge savings! The pharmacy is pretty quick too and very kind! I've had photos printed here and each time they were ready before the "promised" time! Win win! The drive thru pharmacy can sometimes take a little while but not much, I usually go inside and pick up my rx and I feel like it's quicker that way. Idk maybe just my luck Oh I also always walk out with stuff I don't need too it's like going to target where you walk out with a bunch of stuff you didn't plan on buying. This would have been one of the best pharmacy in Eastlake/Otay Ranch area. Unfortunately, it's the worst. I have used this pharmacy for almost 20 years and witnessed the decline in "customer service ". I finally switched over to another pharmacy. For all of you (maybe 90%) who have used this pharmacy will agree with me for the 1 star given. Long story short, I switched a year ago. My doctor's office made the mistake of sending a prescription to them. I called today and after waiting on hold for 15 minutes to try to transfer to my new pharmacy, the tech tells me to call the new pharmacy and request the transfer. What??? Why couldn't he complete the transfer? I know for a fact that either pharmacy can do the transfer. Besides their horrible customer service, I am so glad I made the change!! read more

Nightmare Store. Rare combination of Incompetence and uncaring employees l had 5:50 appointment for vaccine. Like a dummy I arrived early, making their incompetence even more painful, ha! Spoke with several employees. They took two people in front of me. The second guy told them I was waiting. They told him they had no one waiting. This was after I spoke with them (3) times and they took my insurance card. And address. I'm very polite so maybe they just felt like they could just walk over me and ignore my multiple interactions. I've always had a great experience at this WALGREENS PHARMACY. The employees are very nice and extremely helpful. They work hard to assist everyone, but you do need to be PATIENT with the waiting time since they are always busy EVERYDAY. Sometimes I have issues with my insurance, like high co-pays or medications not being covered, but I know that's not the pharmacy's fault--it's my insurance. The staff does their best to help, and I think people just need to be kind and understanding. A little patience and respect go a long way! also I recommend you guys calling first before going to the Pharmacy to check your prescription. read more

***This review is for the PHOTO department*** I've placed a large order for some photos, and they were all messed up, zoomed in, and poorly handled. When I uploaded the photos online, I did not edit them at all. All of the photos fit in the frame. I was extremely disappointed because I spent a lot of money to get these photos printed. When I tried to call the location... I asked the person on the phone what my options were. Am I able to get a replacement batch? Am I able to get a refund? I know Walgreens has a policy for their photos. The girl told me that I would have to go through every SINGLE photo and get those exchange' out or I could return the photos to get my money back. I ordered almost 700 photos, why would I want to do that? She was not helpful at all. I called the 1-800 number and the Customer Service Agent informed me that I could get my entire photo order replaced WITHOUT having to go through every single photo. I do not recommend getting your photos printed out here. They will just blame the machines for messing up and not provide you with better solutions or customer service. Also, when I opened the box the photos came in, there was TRASH in it. It was obviously from when the photos were getting cut, but at least take pride in your work and remove them before it goes into the Customer's hand. read more

This review is for the photo department! I've been developing my disposable camera films at Walgreens for about 2 years now (~2-3 times at this location) and never had a problem. However, this most recent time, I guess there's been a compatibility problem with fiji film cameras ... so I received the hard copies of my photos but not the CD that it usually came with. Mark (one of the managers) was very helpful and thorough in explaining the situation to me. Walgreens had photo scanners that I was able to use to scan my photos to a CD. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to scan all of them as I had to head out for work. However, Mark took it upon himself to individually scan my photos and had my CD ready for pickup the next day. Just wanted to say THANK YOU MARK for your patience and kindness ... truly appreciate your help you're the best !! read more

Love coming here to this location. It's right near home and it quick and easy rather than running into a large super market to get something quick. The location is easy to find and the parking is great since it wraps all around the store. Once walking in you get a pleasant vibe from the lighting and usually a warm welcome. There are various isles you can choose from with several option that suit your everyday needs. From Beauty Supplies, to snacks, to office/ school supplies. This business will most likely have what you need. The employees are very helpful and are usually nice and greet you with a smile. There is a reward program so be sure to sign up so you can rack up your points and get great deals. Unexpectedly the best customer service I've ever had at any Walgreens. We went in to have some last minute pictures printed for Christmas. What we needed was more complicated than initially expected. Nikko, Isabella and Mark went above and beyond to help us get exactly what we wanted. They were very patient and really did a great job on our pictures. Strangely enough, while waiting for our pictures we ended up finding a couple last minute gifts there too. I rarely shop at Walgreens, NEVER imagined finding gifts there. I honestly never noticed all of the products they carry, like cologne?! Actual brand names?! Reasonable prices? Walgreens where have you been all my life?! I would have never noticed had we not come in to THIS store and received the excellent customer service that we received. We will now be coming back for more than just printing pictures. Everyone at this store is so attentive, the store was also surprisingly very organized considering it was just a couple days before Christmas. Definitely recommend shopping this store. I was at the pharmacy with a line of 30 mins to get my prescription meds. They told me to comeback in two hours to pick it up. When I came back, there's a line inside of the pharmacy, so I decided to go out and used the drive thru instead (Thats after 15mins waiting inside the pharmacy). Once I get to the window, they told me my prescription meds is over the counter and its not covered by my insurance (30mins in the drive thru waiting), I was going to pay it but they didn't prepared it. They told me to go back again for another 30mins. I wish they told me my meds is over the counter to begin with. If this store were well trained and cared about their customer, they could have gave me a courtesy call and warned me about it. They wasted my time, I hope you don't waste your time with this Walgreen. So please, don't experience my pain and stay away from this store. read more

Average at best. Nothing stands out. I would still go here for my pharmacy and medicine needs. 1). Customer Service. They always make it a point to greet every customer upon entrance. Once the lines get long, they call extra cashiers to help with the back log. This is what I would expect from any location though. 2). Pharmacy. Ordered medicine here to include out of city prescriptions. Was processed without any problems. The only thing was that I was with my senior citizen uncle and the pharmacist kept on asking about old addresses and phone numbers that he doesn't remember. I offered to show my uncle's ID as proof but they insisted on asking questions instead. Doesn't make sense since the ID would suffice in my opinion. Maybe pharmacy rules- not sure. I am not in the medical field so we ended up playing address roulette until they were satisfied and gave my uncle's medicine. 3). Others. Plenty of parking. Offers other last minute things that you may not be looking for but is convenient so you don't have to go to another store. Convenient location, good selection. This is for the pharmacy department. I made my appointment for a COVID booster for today, 11/29 at 5:15pm, and was told by the staff that they couldn't provide me a free booster after I told them I was insured through Keiser. The staff wouldn't explain to me why that was after I asked over and over what the reason was for; all they could say was "due to our company policy" and "because we're not contracted through Keiser." I even told them that I wasn't requesting them to run my insurance nor did they explain how they would have known I was even insured in the first place. I didn't provide them with my SSN, so how in the world was Keiser supposed to be informed? After getting a sorry a$$ apology, not getting any detailed information, and being told it would cost me $107, I left very disappointed. No where on their website does this say that information AND they are in violation of the U.S. Department of HHS that states directly on THEIR website the following: "COVID-19 vaccines are available for free to everyone 6 months and older living in the United States, regardless of immigration or insurance status." read more

We came here to pick up some essential things for the home especially some orange juice and a couple of frozen stuff. I was in need of some shampoo and conditioner. They had the smell good shampoos and conditioner on sale. I must say you can find good deals if you look hard enough. Majority of stuff in here still seem pricey. Aisles were clean and organized. They were selling some Christmas stuff and gift stuff. I definitely like looking around in the store. The worst part was the scanner ripped us off of some money. We had to look at the receipt again to make sure they didn't over charge us and sure enough they did. They gave us a $15.00 gift card for all the over charges. I wish we didn't have to go back and waste our time getting our money back. At least we were reimbursed. If you shop here, make sure you calculate your items so that you don't get ripped off. That was the only negative but overall a descent place. read more

Pharmacy, all the ladies are funomical, again no one says no. Great store to shop in , has everything you need. Ok, I guess I should finally write a review considering I'm practically here almost every week. The staff is truly amazing. They're all so extremely helpful and truly the most friendliest bunch. The pharmacy is by far the best one so far. The staff is extremely professional and quite competent. I've never had any issues whatsoever. This is a great place to pick up all of my sweet tooth cravings or when I need to stock up for snacks for the movies. They have a great selection on cosmetics, nail polishes and hair products.
