I visited this location on the morning of Fourth of July. First of all, it's great that they actually are open on this day. I was able to walk right in and they had so many sales on merchandise and apparel that I was excited. I really appreciated that they had so many varieties and selections of Independence Day bathing suits. This visit was great because I found a couple of new items in the apparel area that the other Walmarts did not have yet. Yay! Great store with great items. The downside is that they did not have enough cashiers for the customers that were there. I literally saw about 20 workers just walking around the store. And then they only had self checkouts open, which was weird. With this many customers, you should definitely have enough cashiers to check them out. The self checkouts were way backed up and I think the line went about 22 people for each self checkout area. read more

SHOPPERS: PLEASE CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS BEFORE LEAVING THIS WALMART! I'm sharing my experience so other shoppers can be aware and carefully review their receipts and card transactions. In mid-summer, I went to this Walmart to purchase items for dinner. I split my payment between my Cash App card and my University Credit Union card. During checkout, the register froze, and the cashier called a manager for assistance. A manager named Shelia told me that I had not paid for my items, even though I showed her my receipt. She repeatedly stated that I had not paid and walked toward another register saying this out loud. I found the entire experience humiliating, especially while my already-paid items were being held onto by her. I was ultimately charged twice for the transactions. Shelia told me the charges would fall off my cards and advised me to return the following week if they did not. I later returned to the store to resolve the issue. I asked to speak with a manager, but after waiting nearly 10 minutes, I was not assisted. I subsequently contacted Walmart Corporate to report my experience, but I did not feel that my concerns were taken seriously. Unfortunately, the issue happened again. Last Tuesday morning, an employee named Leticia was checking receipts at the east entrance/exit. She stated that I had not paid for my paper towels. I told her I had paid and willingly showed my receipt. To leave the store, I ended up paying for the paper towels a second time. Please check your receipts and your bank/card transactions before leaving the store. My experience resulted in me paying for the same item twice, and I have screenshots of the receipts showing the duplicate purchase. I hope Walmart will take these concerns seriously and review its checkout and receipt-verification procedures so other customers do not experience what I experienced. read more

I went to the Otay Ranch Super Center Walmart at 9:15 PM on August 1st. I picked out some clothing. I went to the dressing room to try something on to find the right size. I was told they're locked at 9:00 PM. There were plenty of employees but none would open the changing rooms. The store doesn't close till 11:00. This seems like a poor policy. read more

I went to this location on 1/4/26 and was told I wasn't allow to hold an item while in line. However, the associate allowed all other customers to hold their items. When I questioned the employee, she told me it was policy. This is a lie. Typically, items can be placed in a box which is unlocked once it's time to pay if you continue to shop. I noticed another lady wasn't allowed either to hold an item. We are of the same ethnicity. Profiling is disgusting. read more

I have used the Walmart app for delivery with great success for about 2 years now. For some reason my usual delivery order was automatically changed to a pickup due to a glitch. When I showed up it wouldn't let me check in. I saw Emilio walking around and asked if he could help. He informed me that he had never seen anything like this before. Nevertheless, he used my phone and his work phone to work the problem. Order came out pretty fast after that. So, I know exactly what I'm getting into whenever going to Walmart. A massive store carrying everything I need. Low prices. And everything that comes with it - not always the most organized, low/out of stock, and crowds. The parking lot here is massive and manageable if you don't mind parking far away. The app also helps with locating items and checking out. Before Christmas, it had everything we needed albeit with empty shelves and even someone taking wrapping paper from our cart. I don't know why I keep giving chances for them to improve their customer service, I end up disappointed every single time. I frequently utilize the drive up feature to park and pick up my groceries. Every time I pick up, I end up waiting no less than 20 minutes. Usually it's closer to 35 minutes. I could go in a get my groceries myself in less time. Lesson learned after a year of wasting time waiting for them to bring my groceries out. I'll stick with target I guess. I'll pay a higher price but at least the wait time is less than 10 minutes. read more

I received a delivery order of groceries where they only delivered 20% of my order. I was here when the delivery driver was dropping it off and she said that was all the store packed and that it wasn't her problem and drove off. I spent an hour on the phone trying to get a refund which they make nearly impossible. I will never use Walmart for delivery of groceries and I cancelled my Wal Mart Plus Membership. The Eastlake Walmart Supercenter is my go to for all my shopping needs. Seriously everything is super expensive now a days and I really feel like my money goes further when I shop here for grocery's and household goods. Not to mention it's so convenient. Their bakery is super cheap too and the cupcakes are actually really good, $13 for 24, can't beat it. They even have a Subway, nail salon, & a cellphone store. Their photo print service is the cheapest you'll ever find. The employees have always been so nice and helpful towards me, I have no complaints. I feel like they do a good job with keeping the store clean. A lot of people on here complain of there new check out policy, you know, I just don't sweat the small stuff. I rather get my groceries here and show a receipt then pay twice as much at Ralph's or Vons. read more

Walmart is going down the toilet. First you lay off a bunch of cashiers because you want us to go to self checkout. #1 where's my tax return for being a cashier at your business?? #2 now you're shutting down self checkout registers but NOT replacing the cashiers so now all the lines are backed up. Today only 2 self checkout registers were open in a lane that has 8 and only 2 self checkout registers were open in each lane of 4. The lines were crazy at it was early. Visited 2 days ago, this is my local Walmart, I've seen bad and good, I have seen the growth and changes this store has gone through since it first opened--I could write a lot-- BUT what I really want to talk about and give a HUGE THANK YOU, is to all the Senior (Yes, THEM) workers at this store. They are the kindest, helpful, polite, they greet you at the entrance, they make cordial eye contact, they pay attention and smile at the registers, they engage, they say have a nice day when we leave the store, etc!!! In this community there's PLENTY of grocery stores, I've visited them all --and NONE has more courteous Senior workers like Walmart SuperCenter/Eastlake-- and to them, Kudos! They work hard, and they should be recognized--because some, not all, of the younger workers really lack of Customer Service skills--so I THANK all the Senior Workers, I want to let you know that I Appreciate you, I look forward to you greeting me , the smiles, the small conversations, etc. because you all are a great part of this community and what makes this particular Walmart a place many of us want to go shop. read more

Eastlake location seems to show potential as you walked in, you could see a kiosk machine from Gains cleaning products asking if you wanted to get a free sample. That's cool. They do have some unique stuffs to offer here, based on the Netflix hubs on Walmart app, this place were stocked with all the Squid Game and Cobra Kai merchandise for a very low price, comparing with other locations , they got the better deal on Netflix shows license shirts $7.88 instead of $12.99, not bad at all, but they didn't have my size, and I will make sure to save the tag for scanning. They got some cool items from books to collectibles and toys plus hardwares. Overall it was great variety of choices to shop here. Will come back to check out if I am in the area read more

Paid for same day pick up for a canvas. Received a text at 4:30pm that the canvas was ready. Arrived at the Photo Center at 6:30pm and was told it would be ready in an hour. Weird that I was already charged for the canvas for being complete but ok. Returned at 7:30pm, the same staff said it wasn't ready and there was nothing he could do because he didn't know how to finalize the order/canvas. Went to customer service and they told me there was nothing they could do either because I was already charged? I don't normally go to Walmart because there's not really one close by but I always getting really excited to come here when we're in the neighborhood. I feel like this Walmart is the nicest that I've been too, it's always so clean and really well organized. My husband was really excited too, I love their baked good section, 50 cents for mini pies and really inexpensive snacks, snacks that would be a little more expensive if you were to purchase them at Ralphs or even Target! The one time they did answer they told me it was there and this was around December when they said they had it but u went a low and behold he said it hasn't been shipped in a while and won't be shipped to that location and yeah I did look for other locations and no the dvd didn't get shipped there either. Had the loveliest time today at my local Walmart I had to purchase some electronics at the electronics department and was helped by the sweetest young emo boy I believe his name was Renatto. As I approach the electronic section, she greeted me with a nice warm smile, and asked me if I needed any help finding anything because I looked rather lost. I smiled and said no but then I asked him where the TVs were to which I purchased three big TVs. And he helped me bring each and everyone of them out to my car. Reviewing Online Pick Up specifically here: The online portal was easy to use and user friendly when moving to choose items throughout the store as well as requesting substitutions for the items if they are unavailable or out of stock. The time frames to choose when to pick the items up and what days are limited, but being that it is around the holidays that makes sense and they are transparent about this information. Now, when it comes to getting what you want, that is a whole different story. You will see in your app or email three different options; Unavailable, Fulfilled or Canceled. It is slightly annoying when very easy to find options are not available or marked as out of stock but regardless it is fine. The wait time can be long once you park in your spot, they will mark your items as "picked up." Thia is where it gets a little tricky because it charges you the correct amount when you don't have your items. Apparently (after speaking with an associate) this is done to "keep up" their time frames for corporate. Regardless, it's good to know for future pick-ups. read more

I had a bad experienced in walmart eastlake .The worker / cashier forget to scan and remove the security lock for the item 4 items that i bought .and 1 of the item i bought is a 2 set a sweater and a shorts pants with both has security locks. I am not sure if the guy is a stupid i saw him removing the lock on a short pants and the other lock for the sweater he did not and didn'tscan it.. went the persons check receipt on the exit . the security lock didn't trigger the alarm. I don't know why it did not make a noice .. so i went home and when i check all the groceries and the clothes we bought i saw it was not removed the lock and it wasn't even scanned. I called them but nobody answered. So we went to Wal-Mart and paid for the clothes !bad people sometimes do bad things!! I just hope and pray for him for doing that to me!!!! I was coming into Walmart for a quick pick up and brought my service dog with me like always, was stopped by the front employee who required proof of service dog and was asking what kind of service dog she is. I placed an online order on 6-25-25 and it was supposed to arrive at my house the same day from Eastlake Walmart. I received a text at 3:36 pm saying my order would arrive at 3:55 pm. At 3:49 pm I received another text stating that my order could not be delivered! I called Walmart and spoke with a customer service representative and she stated that my order was damaged so the driver took it back to the store. She said they were going to deliver it to my home as soon as a new driver was assigned. Four hours later, I called back and another representative said a driver was just being assigned and would be here shortly. The next morning, still no order, at 7: 23 am I received a order cancelation from Walmart, with no explanation. So I placed another order only to be told several hours later by a Supervisor that they wouldn't deliver it because they couldn't find a driver! Several days before, I placed an order for a few items and had them brought to my home. The yogurt was warm, not even cool and the ice cream was so runny it was completely liquid!! I'm not sure what's happening with Walmart delivery anymore!! Not good or consistent!! I've canceled my Walmart Plus subscription. I won't say much as I don't want to waste my energy on Walmart, but this particular Walmart is a total joke, their debit machines are so out of date they reject certain debit cards. So if you plan on paying with a Chase Debit card SAVE YOURSELF A TRIP!!!!!! They won't work but what took the cake is what one of the managers suggested I do after 30 minutes of wasted time. She said "you can go to Chase on the other side of the parking lot and go get cash." This was my experience with curbside pickup today: I arrived and parked in my stall and checked in. Waited for about 10 minutes and the got notification that my item was picked up, which was clearly untrue because I didn't have any item on me. Went outside to ask what the deal was and was told to wait in my car, it should be out soon. Waited 10 more minutes and got fed up so I went inside to customer service and waited ANOTHER 10 minutes in line hoping to be reasonably helped by CUSTOMER SERVICE, only to be rudely dismissed with a "That's not covered by us here, you're in the wrong area". I think the girl working realized how rude she sounded so she then followed up with a "you need to go to their offices". Like how am I supposed to know there's offices specific for curbside pick up. Instead of going to the offices, I asked the same employee in the parking lot again what was up and he said he'd look into it and got my info. He's the only one that did anything right. Some where along the line they messed up but he managed to get my item to me. I was so frustrated, I just said thanks and left. Afterwards I noticed that the spout of the water bottle was messed up and wouldn't close because it was missing a lid. 1/5 experience, and the only thing that gets the 1 is the guy that helped me. read more
