A regular Waffle House experience - no complaints here. same menu as every other waffle house i've ever been to

Waffle houses just hit every single time. It's one of my fav spots to go to whenever we go down south. Growing up, when road tripping down to Georgia to visit family we always looked forward to our stops here. Hash browns are always gonna slay here so I got a hash brown bowl with sausage, egg and cheese. As per usual they call out the order, upon receipt of you giving it and they sling your breakfast right in front of your eyes. And it always hits the spot. This one lived up to all of our expectations and my nostalgic sentiments. Can't wait to get to another.

Waffle House has become an iconic presence on the culinary landscape here in the southeastern United States. It seems that their familiar logo beckons in all of its bright yellow neon glory road-weary travelers, partying college kids, parents with kids in tow, hungry workers seeking a casual and quick sit-down meal and just about everyone else from every walk of life. Since Waffle House opened its first location back on September 5, 1955 in Avondale Estates, Georgia, it quickly established itself by offering a consistent selection of food and by being open twenty-four hours a day. This particular location is just off Interstate 95 on State Road 16. The staff was friendly enough and added to the experience. For me, the biggest appeal of Waffle House has always been their hash browns, which you can get basic or topped with a variety of toppings such as chili, white sausage gravy, cheese, ham, onions and so many more items and you can combine these toppings in a multitude of ways. Add a couple of eggs and bacon and you have a great breakfast feast (even if it later at night). I myself can see the strangeness that I have never had a waffle in a business where waffle is in their very name, but I prefer a more savory breakfast than a sweet one. If you are in the southeast United States, odds are you have probably passed a Waffle House location. It seems that they are on almost every major highway exit ramp and strategically placed throughout most cities and towns in the southeast. If you see one, give them a try.

One of my faves. All you could ask for in a breakfast. Eggs over medium. Chocolate chip waffle , has browns eggs over medium and black coffee. Excellent service.

Angel at Waffle House what a delight - love her attitude.

Wonderful new restaurant - food was fresh, cooked as expected and the service was top notch. Angel was our server and she was a delight, great attitude and personality, alone she made the visit that much better.

Glad we did! We ended up walking there and it was easy to get to. When we walked inside, we were able to get a table inside right away. It was clean and cutely decorated. Our server came by quickly and got our drink and food order in. I ordered the breakfast tacos (comes with 2 good sized tacos) - sooooooooo good! They hit the spot! What got me... it had goat cheese on it! It was delicious. My husband got the fish tacos and he said they were good too! Definitely a great place for breakfast and lunch if you're in the area!! Apparently they have some great bloody mary's too!

For our visit this time they said about a 30 minute wait which was actually 20 minutes. The vibe of the place is very cool with the old jukebox and a bar as well as tables both inside and outside. We were seated outside this visit which was fine as it was shady. I had the corned beef has with hash browns and 2 sunny side eggs. The corned beef is full of shredded corned beef with just a small amount of potatoes. The hash browns with onions were nice and crispy as I asked and the eggs were cooked nicely with the right amount of run when broken. My wife has the Classic Breakfast which is somewhat similar to what I had but with no meat. Hers was done nicely too. Thanks for a nice visit and see you the next time we're back to St. Augustine Beach!

They recently reopened in…read moretheir new location, and the space is beautiful -- stylish, welcoming, aesthetically gorgeous, and just full of great energy. The service was excellent, and the food has that fresh, thoughtful, farm-to-table feel where you can tell care is going into what comes out of the kitchen. For me, one of the biggest highlights was how seriously they take gluten-free dining. I had warm, made-from-scratch gluten-free biscuits with pork belly and a peach bourbon jam, and oh my goodness -- absolutely to die for. Everyone at the table enjoyed them. It is not often that you find a gluten-free biscuit that feels like you are getting the full experience rather than settling for an alternative. I was also impressed by how many gluten-free options they offer. Even their po' boy can be battered with rice flour. Our waiter explained that the chef is gluten-free and that they are very mindful of guests with celiac disease, including separating food preparation when needed. That level of care is a huge plus. And it wasn't just the gluten-free food that impressed us. One friend ordered the meatloaf sandwich and received a seriously hearty piece of meatloaf. My husband had the BLT with pimento cheese on thick sourdough bread, and it was excellent. We also heard that the chicken and waffles, offered during dinner, are a must-try -- so that may be calling us back! The cocktail menu was another win. The drinks were creative, original, flavorful, and clearly thoughtfully crafted rather than just the standard options you see everywhere. Everyone in our group seemed genuinely happy with what they ordered, which says a lot. Beautiful atmosphere, excellent service, creative drinks, fantastic food, and some of the best gluten-free options I've come across. Five stars all the way. I would absolutely return to The Floridian and work my way through more of that gluten-free menu!

The outdoor painting said it was one of top 25 places in the country for burgers so I felt like I had to try a burger. The menu has about ten different burgers to choose from, as well as other sandwiches , salads, and even about ten breakfast items. All of the names of the items have a car reference since the restaurant was previously a filling station. The decor also has a car ambiance. I chose the mustang burger. It had American cheese, bacon, bbq sauce and an onion ring on it. It was very tasty. Side options were fries, coleslaw, sweet potato fries or onion rings. I went with the onion rings. Portions on the burgers and the sides were very good.
