I got too busy yapping so I missed out on taking pics of my food. But I had a lovely meal. This was my first time at any canopy road cafe and it was pretty good. I had French toast (just the regular but the cinnamon roll French toast looked really tempting). It was just slightly crispy around the edges and I love that. So often I will get French toast that's a little too mushy. This was great. I also had a side of bacon. Also crispy! I was pretty stuffed but I did also take a bite of my hash brown. It was delicious too and if I had more space I would have eaten it all. The coffee was great diner/cafe coffee. And if you enjoy that type, you'll know exactly what I mean. I drank it black and they also gave me a cup to go! We did have to wait a couple minutes for a table but not long at all. They turn over tables pretty quickly! Our server was wonderful and really on the ball. Our food came out pretty quickly too, in spite of them being quite busy. It was a little loud in there but not so much we couldn't hear each other. I do like that they have counter seating as an option! We needed a table this round to spread out coloring materials lol. But the counter looks like a nice place to sit too. Fun, cozy little cafe. Met a date here for breakfast. Enjoyed excellent service from Amanda! She was very friendly, helpful, and efficient. The food was great, perfect portions. I had a veggie breakfast skillet... lots of garden veggies with pepper jack cheese, home fries, and English muffin. (I've also tried the BLT Benedict which I loved... avocado, bacon, arugula, and tomatoes over English muffin, topped with poached eggs and creamy hollandaise sauce!! Very yummy!! We drove to this location to meet with family on Christmas Eve. We were nervous we were going to have to wait a long time for a table because we had 8 people, and it's a small place. We got lucky and got seated in under 10 minutes. Our waitress already had waters on the table when we sat down, which was super helpful. We got our order in fairly quickly, and it also came out quickly. Everyone loved their food. The only reason I'm taking a star, is the waitress never filled anyone's drinks or really asked us if we needed anything. I had to ask for refills, Togo boxes, etc. it's not the end of the world because we had a great time and the food was great. However, I'm a server myself, and those things are important for good service. We would return for sure. read more

Came to breakfast here for the first time. The coffee was very good. I had the churro waffles were good as well. The sausage sandwich was just okay. The grits were good. Not liking opening up 3 small packages of butter to put on the grits. Avocado toast was good. The kids waffle my grandson ate it all. The bathroom was only one for men and one for women. I had to wait for 10 minutes to use the men's. The person that came out worked there and went back in the kitchen. I don't understand how you have a restaurant for 50 people and have 1 bathroom. The place was clean and our server Kohl was very good. Bill was $85 with tip for 3 people and 3 year old grandson. Not much food on the plate in my opinion. read more

Great place for breakfast! We frequent the location on Phillips Hwy, and came to the 210 location for the first time today. We were immediately greeted and sat at the bar top. It is larger than the other location with great natural lighting. It's very clean and we got lightning fast service! The pancakes are top tier and the biscuits are so fluffy and buttery and delicious. We will definitely be returning. read more

First time there amazing food and service. This time the service was still perfect but we tried new items. My wife tried the French toast. Looked like thin diet bread cut in half so basically 4 pieces that total did not add up to one from a normal breakfast place. Sw breakfast burrito was good but after you cut off the ends that were tortilla only the rest of Meal had me hungry before noon. This sounds like an owner issue trying to keep costs down but with portions like this I think customer count down will be a bigger problem read more

The food was so good! I had flash-fried churro waffles, and it was so filling and delicious, I also got a side of the pecan-smoked bacon, which was salty and crunchy. Been here a few times now for breakfast and always receive above average service and a great selection of breakfast items to choose from. Their pancakes are terrific and eggs, breakfast meats and potatoes are always cooked to perfection. Nice modern cafe atmosphere with a simple decor and clean restroom facilities. Booth seats could use recovering with several now showing cuts and ruptures and some light fixtures could use a dusting. My friends and I have started a "Breakfast Club", where we meet bimonthly for breakfast and conversation. Each time, we try to visit a new spot, and this last Thursday, we went to Canopy Road. The menu is overwhelmingly full of delicious things from light/healthy to straight up decadent. There was a whole section dedicated to Signature Pancakes, which sounded more like desserts, and while I couldn't commit to ordering one for myself, I suggested we order one to share as a "breakfast appetizer." This idea was met with enthusiasm and I highly recommend. We got the Blueberry Cobbler Pancake, which was light and fluffy, and full of blueberries, topped with a perfectly balanced compote and a side of whipped cream. From there, we all got the Italian Avocado Toast. This was thick slices of multigrain bread, toasted with smashed avocado, everything but the bagel seasoning, tomato, goat cheese and balsamic glaze. It's served with a fresh fruit salad and the whole thing was divine! Next time, I'll be trying a more traditional egg breakfast, but we will be back! read more

If you know me, you know my favorite meal of the day is breakfast. Why? I don't know, I like pancakes, I waffles, I like eggs, home fries, etc. I also love coffee. So maybe those are good reasons why I like breakfast. Anyway, was super excited when I heard Canopy Road opened a new location in St. John's in the old EarthFare plaza. We headed there on a weekday, so we could hopefully beat the weekend rush to grab breakfast. I arrived, put our name on the list and proceeded to wait outside. I was a little bummed to see that they didn't have any outdoor seating. Why? Perhaps this was planned prior to COVID, but was hoping that for safety reasons, people's comfort level, etc., was hoping they'd have at least a few tables outside as an option, but alas, no outdoor seating. The wait even on a week day was 30-45 minutes, so be prepared to wait for a seat. When we were seated, we were greeted by our server, who promptly took drink orders, gave us menus, and was very accommodating. After looking over the menu, my sister and I decided to split our meals, so we could give each other half. I opted to get the Reese's Pieces pancakes and she got the BLT benedict. When I asked the server if they had a children's menu, he mentioned they did not, but they can make "Mickey" pancakes, so I opted to get our little one that (you also have the option of getting any of the speciality pancakes as a single or double). Our food came out fast and everything was piping hot. I couldn't wait to dig into the pancakes. Let me tell you: light, fluffy, and decadent. Each bite was better than the next. They were so good, I barely used syrup. The BLT benedict was rich, flavorful, and the eggs were perfectly cooked. One of my other favorites about Canopy Road is the coffee. I love their iced coffee! It's a large portion and very robust. We brunch hard here in Jax. Brunch is many meals to many people. For some, it's a hangover meal to help recover from a hearty party the previous Saturday night. For others, it's late morning meal to start a lazy Sunday Funday. For me, brunch is an excuse to eat dessert for breakfast. We stopped by Canopy Road Cafe in St Johns to partake in this time-honored tradition. We started with a Cinnamon Roll, a Canopy Road specialty. It came out warm and steamy. I really wanted some alone time with this cinnamon roll, but had to share it with Mah Wife. This tender roll was drenched in so much cream cheese frosting, it slowly flowed down the side. My first bite was a perfect combination of roll, icing, streusel, and powdered sugar. Some icing dripped down my chin, but I didn't care. I wiped it onto my finger and licked it clean. Like I said, for me, brunch means sweet, so for my "entree," I got the Fat Elvis. A pancake studded with banana slices and bacon pieces. Squeezed all over the top is a smooth peanut butter drizzle. Hunka hunka burnin' love indeed. I got a side of over-easy eggs and corned beef hash just to break up the sugar rush. My more health-conscious wife got the Italian Avocado Toast. Whole grain toast topped with smashed avocado, tomato slices, goat cheese, balsamic glaze, and Everything Bagel seasoning. I guess someone had to be the adult at the table. We were in the area and my hubby was craving breakfast so we had to stop. When we arrived the place was packed we were advised it would be a 30 minute wait but we're actually seated within 5-10 minutes. From the moment we walked in the door to us leaving the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Everything we ordered was delicious! We ordered a cinnamon roll to share, I had The Dakota which is steak and eggs, I added I side of tomatoes and substituted the toast for grits and a coke. My husband ordered the Beaumont skillet and a coffee. The cinnamon roll was not overly sweet and super soft, a great way to start brunch. My meal hit the spot! The steak was tender, juicy, and a perfect medium steak. My husband enjoyed the skillet however he said in his opinion it would have tasted better with large chucks of ham instead of the thin slice ham. We will be returning in the future as there are many options available on the menu. If you are in the area you should definitely come in. read more

Looking for somewhere good for breakfast, and thought Canopy Road. Had not tried this location before. No wait up at the bar. Yay! Sat down, greeted and asked what to drink.. coffee! Lots of choices on the menu. I ultimately went with a boring pick of eggs, potatoes and bacon. But I did add the French Toast. The nice part at the bar... coffee refills and done often. Alright realistic review for these negative Nancys. The wait is semi long so if you're one of those humans who just can't wait then bring some patience because the wait time is absolutely worth it. Everything is cooked to perfection and the crab cake Benedict as an OG Maryland girl have to be the closest to home taste I've had. We also ordered the quesadilla and the mutt and the owners are very involved which is a fresh if breath air and we had amazing service. Ask for Sarah! Will be back for sure. read more

This place is delicious, friendly staff and super clean. They must be very popular with the locals because it was packed, not one open table at any given time to be there early or get ready to wait. I had the breakfast burrito and substituted the chorizo for bacon, it was very good but on the smaller size. My other guest had the country fried steak and it looked good and he loved it, it was a large size. My last guest enjoyed the berries and cream French toast, while it was good, it shouldn't be called "berries" and cream French toast, it literally had 2 berries, not more, wish I was lying so my guest was still hungry after her breakfast, a bit disappointing given the price of $14 for 2 French toast (1 croissant cut in half). Will I be back, more than likely but it won't be my #1 choice when dining in the area. read more
