The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming--truly a "come as you are" kind of place, which made us feel comfortable right away. The menu is impressively extensive, with something for just about any craving. We ordered breakfast, and everything was spot on--eggs cooked to perfection, food served hot, and my hash browns were exactly how I like them: perfectly crispy! The coffee was hot and kept coming, which is always a big win. A special shoutout to our waitress, Cassy--she was an absolute delight. Decided to try this local spot. Small but plentiful seating and a very quaint and family, friendly atmosphere. My server, Katie, and other staff were super friendly and very interactive with all the customers. Ordered a made to order omelette and a side; well-made, and as ordered. Leaving enough taste to enjoy, but not overwhelming where you can add S/P or other topping as desired. Katie was great and attentive and checking in to see if I wanted more coffee before my cup was even empty. Clean place, well kept, and busy for a reason. Will definitely visit again. read more

Sarah was our server. She had to be told to come to the table and then had an attitude when she got there. We had to keep telling her to bring the specific items to the table due to her not being attentive and actually listening to our order. Not only did all this happened she spilled hot coffee on my husband and blamed it on multitasking and didn't apologize! At checkout she was constantly talking to other people and tossed the debit card back to my husband. She wasn't very personable at all! Terrible service! I visited because I saw a bumper sticker that said "where the h - e- double hockey sticks (keeping the clean language) is black creek cafe? On a car from out of state! We are planning to travel to that state so I was surprised that Black Creek Cafe was just down the street (basically) in Middleburg Florida! First, yes it is hard to find! Second, it is kinda small with limited seating so if you have a large party you will need to call ahead. Third, they are only open for breakfast, brunch, and lunch - They *do* have non breakfast food options. We had 8 people and there were conveniently empty tables in a row when we arrived so we just pushed them together. The staff is courteous, friendly and helpful making you feel almost like you are visiting relatives. The The portion sizes were good and the price was fair. We went for breakfast but next time I want to try their lunch menu! Everything was delicious and everyone was happy with their meal. When we came in it looked like we may not gwy a seat it was so busy but when we got the door the waitress told us about a 7 minute wait but we were sat inless then 5 minutes. Small cafe style inside. Plenty of parking on the side. We went for a late lunch during the week, it was pretty crowded, but we were seated right away. They have a special for each day. One of us got the special with two sides and the other two got their hamburger. The special was good, the burgers where way better than expected. Their sweet potato fries and regular fries were excellent too. A lot of people were eating breakfast as their lunch and those dishes looked really good too. Today was busy, I think due to school being out but it was amazing how well Sarah and Cassie did juggling through the rush. Wanted a small local place before church and this place did not disappoint. The food is very fresh and so tasty. We have been back a few times and I have to say we have enjoyed our meals every time. They are not open for dinner but do serve breakfast all day, huge plus! The only down fall is the staff working tables etc. For this being a small town cafe they sure do not have that small town attitude. Some have a friendly smile but most we have watched seem to be there for the paycheck and that's it. Just missing that touch. But we will not let a few sour attitudes keep us from enjoying what the owners are working on with this place. We recommend a try! read more

I have never in my life heard of a grit cake and I was more than pleasantly surprised. I stopped in for brunch yesterday and returned today because it wad so delicious and filling. I haven't had scrapple in years and the chef sliced it thinly enough to make for a crispy shell while retaining a soft inner core. My compliments all around. From the country music at a comfortable volume to the super polite staff, REAL cream and butter, wonderfully brewed coffee (a dealbreaker for me) and good food. They even have orange marmalade. Changing review after a few visits. Unfortunately the next few visits it was a hard time getting a table because they were all piled night with dirty dishes. When we finally got a table cleaned off we continually had the same server that was TERRIBLE. once she drop the food off at the table she never comes back other than to drop the check so no refills or napkins. And we always missed a part of our meal... toast or eggs and etc. on the menu is AMAZING! Perfect home cooked breakfast and the service is quick! The only 2 "bad" things about this place is that it closes at 2pm, there's a lot of lunch items & they only have the plan coffee mate creamer option. read more

If you haven't been to BCC lately, GO! If you like mom and pop places, this is one you don't want to miss. It's small and busy pretty much all the time but tables become available pretty quickly. The staff are super friendly. The food is really good. REAL hamburgers, not pre frozen patties (which are still real but c'mon, a fresh hamburger is better, right?) They have complimentary puddings if you want them. The chicken salad is amazing...so much so that they sell it by the pound too. Breakfast is served all day if you're so inclined. I hear they are going to be open for dinner mon Monday's and Tuesdays later this month. read more
