    Grilled chicken pita with Tabouli
    Maya C.

I really wanted to just have a nice lunch brought to me because I didn't have time to stop and run out for lunch. While I know that I should always try to make time to go take a walk I'm afraid to lose track of the several bug fixes and projects I'm working on at the moment. Oh yeah, you know what I did ;) I went to a delivery app on my phone and searched for a place that would deliver to me quick. This place was not far and had a relatively short delivery timeframe. I figured some kinda sandwich would suffice but not one with a whole lot of bread. Pita bread sounds nice but a camel rider, my go-to, is not an option today. Time to try something else. That's when I saw the Grilled Chicken Pita (diced seasoned chicken breast, sauteed onions, peppers, mushrooms, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo). I went with this and a side of tabouli, sat back and waited. It arrived on time and I tore into it immediately. The chicken was warm and phenomenal. I even liked how some of the mushrooms were a little charred from the grill and added to the flavor of the pita. I was very happy with my choice and now I know where to go again if I have a hankerin' for a good lunch.

Great spot to stop by and grab a bite. They have daily specials and friendly staff. It's not fancy at all and most of the people work in the bldg they are in or the surrounding bldgs I have also had their steak in a sack and it is quite tasty served in a pita with lettuce tomato provolone and mayo

Centurion Cafe & Grill - Cool breakfast place!

This inconspicuous "hole in the wall" cafe is tucked away in the CIT building off Deerwood Park Blvd. A nice place to grab a delicious piping hot breakfast after my morning Y workout! Their made to order omelets are savory delicious and I highly recommend the Western Omelet with ham, Western veggies and your choice of cheese. Make it a combo and you also get grits/potatoes and your choice of toast along with a large cup of coffee. The cafe opens sharply at 7AM Monday through Friday and also serves lunch. Give them a try if you want a delicious breakfast away from the Town Center maddening morning rush hour crowd!

This Cafe is a short walk from my office and the food is consistent. I normally go for the Triple Decker with a side of potato salad which sets me back about $9 bucks but it's more than enough food for lunch. I have also tried the buffalo chicken wrap which everyone raves about but it's just not for me. The burger is okay as well but I prefer the Triple Decker over it for my carbs intake. They also deliver. I believe it's $15 min but not sure the distance.

This is my "go to" if I am on the way to work and didn't have enough for breakfast. Located a very short distance from where I work (near Johnson & Johnson / Vistakon, it is right next to Chase, and all the office spaces off of Deerwood Park and Southside Blvd. The crazy thing is (to me) that not many people know this place exists unless they heard about it by people who frequent the location. This is a good cafe that has a variety of choices for breakfast (grits, eggs, all type of breakfast sandwiches, etc). It also has a good lunch menu although I have never been. My coworkers and I like the "breakfast bowl" which has grits, a meat (sausage, bacon), cheese, and an egg. I also like their "power ciabatta" which has a white egg and spinach along with some good pesto. The staff is quick and very courteous. I've called in an order on my way in and I've come in to have a seat in their dining area.. both offer excellent customer service. I highly recommend this place if you're close by.

They have a hard time getting your order right...if you do come for carry out (or get delivery) then be sure to check it first.

Kind of intimidating but the owner was so very nice and invited me inside to get a coffee. The most delicious thing I ordered was the Mediterranean sandwich! The bread was crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. It was filled with prosciutto, tomato, cucumber, and pesto/tzaziki sauce, so good! The iced caramel latte was classic and delicious as well. The decor inside was like an European slash Middle Eastern vibe. I ended up relaxing, reading, and staying here for over an hour. Will definitely be back!

It's an interesting environment. People drink beer at the outside tables and coffee at the inside tables. There is lots of comfy seating: tables, benches, couches, comfy chairs. And in the center is a huge TV where they play sports programming from their region. Pretty much all of the customers are Albanian, so you get some stairs coming in. The owner is cordial and makes your food/drinks quickly. I've actually never tried the food since I always come here full, but the coffee is good and reasonably priced.

It's the kind of coffee shop where you can grab a great cup of coffee, sit down for a bit, and actually enjoy the atmosphere. The space feels modern but relaxed, making it a nice spot whether you're meeting a friend, catching up on some work, or just taking a break from the day. The coffee here is excellent. You can tell they take their beans and roasting seriously. The espresso drinks are smooth, rich, and full of flavor without being overly bitter. They also have a nice selection of specialty drinks if you're in the mood to try something a little different. They offer a good variety of breakfast items and pastries as well, which pair perfectly with the coffee. Everything tastes fresh and well prepared--simple but done right. Another thing I appreciated was the friendly service. The staff is welcoming and efficient, and the overall energy of the place feels very positive. It's also convenient that they have a drive-thru if you're in a hurry. All in all, Brass Tacks Coffee is one of those local spots that keeps people coming back. Great coffee, good food, and a relaxed environment make it an easy recommendation if you're in the Jacksonville Southside area.

Experience to say the least. Now I know that La Petite Paris is SO GOOD in person at the restaurant. A big part of it being good at delivery is the way the restaurant packs the food. And they did an INCREDIBLE job. Everything was as fresh and tasty as it is in the restaurant. Each meal was packed with care to make sure it arrived safely and didn't fall apart or spill or anything crazy. And... coming in clutch... they wrote the names on each order. It's always tough with like 10+ people to be certain everyone gets the right meal. They made it easy. I also got a latte to go halfway expecting it to be room temp or so when it arrived. But it was still HOT! So they timed things very well. Also really good. Their lattes are always awesome. I had the fig, bleu cheese, and walnuts croissant. It's my favorite thing to order here.
