Visited here on the recommendation of someone local, and we were very pleased we did! The style of the restaurant is like modern warehouse, and it's cute--maybe a bit loud. We were in the front and it was hard to hear the excellent music. There is also outside dining for when the weather is nice. Our server was MJ. She was very helpful in making our selection. She was efficient, and very attentive. I ordered the corned beef hash with home fried potatoes and everything was cooked just as I requested. My cranberry mimosa was excellent as well. Coffee was good and stayed full and hot. My husband had the ham steak with eggs and toast. The orange juice tasted like it was fresh-squeeze, full of delicious pulp. Wow! In at 10 am Sat and place was jamming. Located in well kept plaza with multitude of shops and covered sidewalk area you could walk around while you wait. On wait list for party of 2. They provided coffee while you wait and there's some seating outside restaurant while you're waiting. Wait was maybe 15-20 min not bad. Seated at table, clean and inside was modern and well kept. Greeted promptly by Kylie and drink orders takes and specials provided. Went with big boy breakfast- with hashbrowns as sub for one of the meats and it was a big portion of hashbrowns. Really like that. Service was excellent, as Kylie checked in on us frequently and refilled coffee timely. Wait for meal was quick and items were hot and correct no problems. The place it's nice Spectacular great service very knowledgeable with their menu The reason I'm giving 2 stars is very simple 1- kitchen staff not wearing hair net / except for two ladies who's who's were wearing baseball cap is ok 2- one man in the kitchen was touching his ear and face and didn't bother to wash his hands and touching food - LACK OF HYGIENE- he saw me and I was looking at him, and I didn't say anything- I prefer to do it here in this app instead, he was also not wearing hair net. Owner needs to pay attention to detail to see every staff member are performing their duties properly including their higiene while working and handling food for customers! I'm sure the owner don't want to know if clients suffered a serious illness due to lack of higiene problem. We came here for breakfast during the week. It's been a minute since I've been here and was excited to have breakfast at Grumpy's again. When we arrived we were shown our table. We were able to score the large round table with the lazy Susan in the middle. Our server was super nice, friendly, and was quick to grab our drink orders. I wound up ordering a hot cocoa with whipped cream. Our drink orders came out quickly and my hot cocoa was piping hot. It hit the spot. Onto food orders. I decided to order a short stack of pancakes. BTW their pancakes are HUGE with a side of bacon. My pancakes came out hot and delicious. They were HUGE and you get two of them. I wound up being able to only eat about 1.5 of the pancakes. Despite us going during a busy time, their method for keeping guests queued was fairly put together! Keep in mind, their intercom only projects to the breezeway outside the front door, so if you're waiting inside, keep an eye on the hostess stand. With it being as cold as it sporadically has been, the outside seating was delightfully warmed to keep us comfortable throughout our experience; I almost took off my jacket even! We placed our orders for a split-plate style experience and our dishes were perfectly suited for this. However, it seems that the request for two Au Jus' was a bit of a curveball for them, as the plates arrived 5 minutes after the mains were delivered to the table. Drinks will help that, though, and the Cold Brew Cocktails were wonderful and not overly sweet with our request of light whipped cream (: Once everything came together, it was ready set go! This was my first visit to any Grumpy's location and boy was I sold! The vegetable medley was so surprisingly refreshing with the addition of cooked cabbage. As the spice hound that I am, the Fried Chicken Benedict was a light heat, but ever so pleasant. The green bean side sang to my southern heart with the addition of a savory bacon presence and note. If you're all about sauce, maybe request more of the Spicy Hollandaise, as that did seem to be on the lighter side. The French dip was an absolute winner for me though! The Au Jus was absolutely DRINKABLE; the perfect blend of bold and comforting for this sandwich. Wait staff was warm and present throughout and I have no complaints, as it seems there's one server per the entire porch-side. Overall 10/10 will visit again! read more

Finally tried Grumpy's on a Sunday morning. Super busy and people lined up inside and outside even with the pouring rain. The wait wasn't too bad for two people. Got seated at their outside covered patio. Even with it busy, our server was attentive and checked in multiple times and refilled my coffee at least 3 times. I ordered Grumpy's big breakfast with pumpkin pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage links and grits with cheese. It came with coffee. The pumpkin pancakes were delicious without all the stuff they topped it with. I don't like candy corn and didn't think it was necessary so I scraped it off. The eggs were decent and the grits were tasty. I added salt and pepper to both. Sausages were just ok, nothing special. Love the diner vibes and menu options. Clean restaurant, decent food and great service. We sat outside as the indoor seating was pretty crowded. My fried green tomato Benedict was very good though the hollandaise was a wee bit broken. Still was delicious. My husband ordered a standard breakfast plate with over light eggs. It arrived with hard scrambled eggs but to the waitress' credit, she ordered an over light even though my husband said not to worry about it. Great service here. We came in a busy time, it's Sunday 11:18am, it is packed! Everyone looks like they are having a great time in this joint! The employees are on point, chefs are communicating with their servers the servers are communicating with their chefs! It's awesome to see! Now just waiting on food. Okay so I had a plate that had 2 over and easy egg's, 3 bacon slices, hash browns, 2 blueberry pancakes with condiments. Third time is a charm!! Went with the family for a late lunch Sunday after church. The kids had the kids chicken and waffles and chocolate chip pancakes... they loved every single bite of their food!! The adults ordered Philly cheesesteaks, liver and onions, country fried steak and everything was well seasoned, hot and tasty! As always their freshly squeezed orange juice was AMAZING! The owner came to our table and we had a great conversation about how he started up the business and how he supports his staff members and cares for them. He even asked the kids if they were on the nice or naughty list and told them he hoped they get everything they wished for. Definitely worth giving it an another shot! Eva was an amazing waitress! The kitchen could follow instructions that she writes on the ticket like when you say well done hashbrowns, and they are still raw in the middle. There are not well done. Poor Eva went back to them twice about these hashbrowns and they were still raw in the middle. Yeah, avocado toast is mostly toast with very little avocado. I would recommend that you skip that. The food is generally really good. It's just that the kitchen needs to pay attention, especially when you have to wait as long as you do at this restaurant and pay as much as you do at this restaurant. read more

My favorite place because of the home fries. Came in and sat at a small booth at 9 o'clock on Tuesday and waited and waited and waited plenty of staff and a few customers. Finally got up, went to the counter and got served. The food is amazing. I've tried many things on the menu and have loved it all. The service is great as well. Typically they have a long wait on the weekend but they usually get you in faster than the time they give. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the price. It's a bit pricey for breakfast food. Look to spend at least $50 for a family of 4 with 2 kids eating off the kids menu. A few dollars less per item and we'd go a lot more often. read more

I cannot believe this was my first time eating at Grumpys! Breakfast is possibly my favorite day and I have been missing out! Went on a Friday late morning. It was pretty busy which surprised me! But we were sat quickly. French toast is normally my go-to but I spotted a cinnamon roll on the menu and I am so glad I did. Often at restaurants it seems to me like they came out of a tin tray and were warmed up in a microwave. Absolutely not the case here. This cinnamon roll tasted fresh! And it was slathered in icing. Warm and gooey and absolute perfection. No notes. I also got a side of bacon so I could finish on a salty note and it was juuuust the right side of crispy and it was A LOT of bacon for a side. The coffee was also a perfect diner coffee and a great pairing with this breakfast. My friend went more of a lunch route with a Grumpys BLT. It was an excellent BLT. Also a side of potato salad (which of course I sampled) and that tasted like they made it pretty fresh as well. The exact right amount of mustard. I feel like with both the service and food they maintain more of a local diner feel even tho they are growing quite a bit lately. I would definitely go back anytime. read more

I think grumpy was grumpy back in the kitchen today. I was grumpy when I left there today. It is the worst lunch I have ever had in the state of Florida since I've been here for seven months ordered the hot turkey plate. They were out of white meat said dark meat only the dark meat was little scraps of dry turkey had been pulled off the carcass the dressing was spread on the bottom of the plate no flavor whatsoever. The turkey gravy was horrible. Had no flavor did not taste like turkey on the lousy mashed potatoes, which looked like they were a few days old. They served brown gravy. I can't even tell you what the vegetables were except I think there were some cabbage in there absolutely horrible. I had the tuna chicken salad plate. They were out of chicken salad so give me an extra skep scoop of tuna. The tuna was full of large pieces of red onion. The salad around it was absolutely horrible tomatoes look like they were left over from a hamburger slice Kalamata olives that should've been thrown a week away slices of peppers that should not have been on the salad, brown lettuce and lousy blue cheese dressing they put six packs of crackers on top of the salad. I guess to make it look good. Took a long time to get our order food was delivered. No one came back to check how it was had to ask for a check to go back, which I dropped in the garbage can on the way out never again. I have been to grumpy's for breakfast once before there was great. I feel sorry for Mrs. grumpy and quite honestly I feel sorry for the employees who have to put up with the complaints about grumpy's lousy food. read more

Firstly, the windows need blinds. Scorching sunlight will bake you if you sit in the wrong spot. We were on the wait list, got called and then the guy admitted he'd made a mistake and had a further 20 minute wait. Inside the restaurant there were a bunch of flies doing their thing. There's nothing visible to take care of them and patrons typically prop the front door open when they're waiting to be seated or to put themselves down in the wait list. We were a party of 4 who had a below average server and lackluster food. My whole party either had over or undercooked food. We had to send more than one plate back. Drinks soon ran empty, top-ups were of myth and legend. If the server had been attentive and frequent, some of this could have been avoided. I've been to several other Grumpy's. This one is not the one to visit, sadly. read more

I came here on a Saturday morning at about 7:45 AM. We drove 20 minutes because of the amount of good reviews. We were sat pretty quickly and greeted pretty quickly. The service was good. I ordered eggs Benedict with hollandaise on the side and opted for the home fries. My husband ordered sausage gravy and biscuits with a side of eggs and a side of meat. He opted for sausage links and it came with three ( they were the skinny links, which typically are my favorite). I had one of his sausage links, and it was not hot. It was barely warmer than room temperature. His toasted biscuit with sausage gravy tasted like it was a biscuit from yesterday. It was so hard when you tried to cut it with a fork at crumbled. He did say his second biscuit was a little better. My eggs Benedict was OK. I don't feel the holiday sauce was the best that I've had. I don't even know that it was actually made in house. But my home fries were horrible. They were room temperature at best and had a seasoning on them. There were no onions or anything other than potatoes were in their home fries. I ordered their specialty flavored coffee that was very good. I would not drive 15 to 20 minutes for their breakfast again.
