The night manager has a horrible attitude. She's on some sort of major power trip. I am a frequent customer (and excellent tipper) and EVERYTIME I have been there she has been rude and unkind. One night I was there, a waitress was almost in tears stating how mean and catty she was and that it was awful to work when she is there. Last night she called the cops on my partner and I for singing to music we played on the jukebox. She asked us to stop singing and we did. We were waiting for our food and instead she sneakily called the police on us to kick us out for no legitimate reason. Even the police did not understand what the issue was. Again I say, MAJOR POWER TRIP. She hates anyone having fun and being happy. She is a miserable human being that needs to be fired. Do NOT set foot in this location. Go to the Abita Springs one instead. The wait staff there is so warm and friendly. We will ALWAYS go to that one now. So disappointed and will be contacting corporate. read more

This location appears to be rather new based on the fresh looking concrete parking lot and the outside appearance of the building. The inside seems even newer, very nice. The smell was not good because it smelled too much of cleaning products instead of breakfast being cooked. I ordered my usual two eggs medium with hash browns & extra onions plus two sausage patties and toast. The food was great and delicious. Service was excellent and friendly. If you are from the Planet Earth, you understand what Waffle House is all about. If you are from a different planet, google that stuff. I won't waste my time explaining the basics. This is the newest Waffle House in St. Tammany Parish. Am I sure about that claim? Not really, but I've read some of your reviews. Accuracy is not always paramount ya heard me? I was somewhat shocked by how fast this location went from woods to fully functioning breakfast place. That quickness in building does not mean the staff are fully up to speed just yet. My first, and so far only, experience came as a to-go order. I wanted a three egg fiesta omelet and large side of bacon so I called ahead. It was super loud in the background and when I arrived, the place was packed. Luckily the server at the register had my order ready, but that is where the weirdness began. WH always uses some sort of weird system to fill out the form hey use to tally your bill. I never have any idea how much it is supposed to be. The server used her phone to tally the total rather than the cash register which seemed a bit odd. When she quoted me the total it seemed a bit high, but I just paid and rolled out. When I got home and decided to eat my food, it was good, but not what I ordered. The order of bacon was most definitely a small and the omelet was tiny with undercooked veggies inside. What a letdown. I am guessing this WH will improve as time goes on, but my experience sucked. read more

OMG went in this morning with my daughter it's the week before school starts and I was looking for a daddy daughter breakfast date. the two employees who were actually working there this morning were either high or shellshocked or both. It seems they had a 10 top walk in 10 minutes earlier? five minutes after sitting down I haven't even gotten a hold of the menu, much less a glass of water or coffee. When I realized that it was taking 10 minutes to get the number of hash brown orders for the other table correct, I knew it was time to leave. So Let me start this by saying.. I totally ordered from here after working a 14hr shift as a "Chef" meaning I was on a Hot line all day cooking myself... with that being said I am not by any means JUDGY.. I always tip, I RARELY SEND FOOD BACK, etc etc.. because I get it. And I know I mean it's Waffle House sooo expectations are not too high.. but that's my point. WHY NOT? Come on Waffle House.. your still a restaurant you still have servers.. you have potential.. but this night now way.. they had 4 cooks on the line, 3 people taking orders and I'm pretty sure some manager of some sort... I tried to call to order ahead( to avoid what eventually happened anyway) no one answered , I get there, two blocks from where I live, I order within like 3minutes.... "Wait for it" you know, The call out.. the infamous Waffle House call out of what you just ordered... "waiting...waiting...waiting.. I hear nothing, I see NO spatulas banging around.. no eggs being cracked.. no smothering or covering of anything at anytime..I'm a patient person... so I wait "benefit of the doubt" then I see the head cook and another cook walk from behind the line and around the corner... Oh.. I know what that means... that means NO ORDER.. aka SMOKE BREAK! So I let them go outside, I do not stop them... AGAIN, I GET IT.. but I do round up the young man that took my order, and I said"umm hey, did you put my order in, I mean I don't see anything happening back there.. your two cooks just went to smoke... and I've been here going on 45min Now... SOOOOOO.. He then with panic retrieves my ORDER (the yellow ticket) from his apron pocket.. YEAH YOU GUESS IT... never put it in never called it out, so he then reaches for his phone and I'm assuming shoots a text, two cooks return.. and then I basically had to verbally tell them what I ordered... I was not happy... 1hr + later... guy bagged my food, and at this point I just wanted to be done. And before you go saying "why didn't you just go somewhere else", well I'm a cook I'm a chef I get off at the time that all other places are closed.. and the last thing I wanna do is have to cook something when I get home.. if ya know, ya know. Anyway this was the first time I DID NOT TIP A SERVER.. but I'm not a complete jerk, I gave the cook $12 tip because honestly it wasn't his fault and he made my food as quick as possible... Well my waitress forgot about our syrup, she touched my bacon in front of me, she seemed like she's ready to retire. This wasn't the first time she served me and my friend but she's just mean and doesn't seem all too inviting. We really don't like when she serves us. Ok. This is a waffle house. It is never going to get more than three stars. I have been here three times prior. The first time was so bad we walked out. The second time, the grill cook threw a fit and walked out. Tonight it was great. Why? Well the grill cook was amazing. He knows what he is doing and so does annelise the waitress. Kudos to them. I went to waffle house after a night of enjoyment and decided to have a meal with my son. The date of this meal was November 13, 2021. Our waitress was named Skyler. I ordered the steak and cheese sandwich along with hashbrowns which was $10.50. Also we ordered two coffees. The sandwich came with hashbrowns like I said and then I decided to add her another hash brown which would make it a double hash brown. I asked for smothered covered chopped diced chunked along with chili. My son ordered three eggs scrambled. Our ticket came to $24.50. I proceeded to ask Skyler how she came up with that. I ended up having to ask the manager why I was charged the amount I was charged. She told me we ordered four eggs +4 cheeses. Each egg would've been a dollar apiece along with cheeses it would've been two dollars. That is not what we ordered. We only ordered three eggs not four and no Cheese Even though Skyler said we asked for extra cheesy eggs which was not the case at all. She asked if we wanted to fix this. We shouldn't have had to ask if we wanted to fix it they should've fixed it all on their own. Highly disappointed and was charged eight dollars for something that we did not order. I have been to this location a number of times since it opened. I think they have finally found their groove. Initially, I received my food and had to wait for utensils, a few times they got part of the order wrong. My last 3-4 visits have been uneventful, order correct and good service. I am glad they have finally become consistently good. read more

Went in a couple of nights ago at about 6 in the evening and the place while only having 2 customers was filthy and a portion of the seating area was closed off. The staff just looked at us and then completely ignored us and kept on talking to each other. We couldn't sit down as every table and the counter was dirty from previous customers. We walked right back out and will never return. If you can't operate and staff the place properly than close, but don't leave customers hanging. If I could give no stars, I would. 1 star is too generous. read more

My wife called in to place a take out order today. She was asked if she would mind holding and before she could respond, the phone was placed down on the counter with an open line. My wife sat there listening to the ambient noise of the restaurant for 15 minutes as I called in and got the "were sorry but were not taking take out orders message." ridiculous!!! read more

Literally the best waffle house I have ever been to. I went at like 10 on a Thursday night( last night). They were clearly understaffed at the time, but our server waited on promptly and also cooked our food so we left a 10 dollar tip on a 11 dollar meal. My gf and I were also about order about of stuff a la carte, but the waitress pointed out that we could actually order the all star and some stuff and it would be cheaper. good waffle house :) clean, yummy, and majority good service. the only problem is this absolute bitch who works here- old(ish) woman, short gray hair, forgot her name but i'll update the review if i ever get it again- she has an absolute stick up her ass. waffle house is open 24/7, this one is in MANDEVILLE where roughly nothing else besides a couple gas stations are open between 2-4 AM, why criticize someone for being not-sober? she kicked my friend out for not having shoes with her, and on a separate occasion grabbed and moved my wallet without asking. she is the only reason this waffle house would ever deserve less than 5 stars. it's such a disappointment she works here. when i see her in the store, if there's any other options open i go somewhere else. read more
