We had absolutely excellent table service by Leah no h at the end. Congrats were absolutely excellent and I had my normal meal there but it just carried an extra bit of love. It was very busy. It was backed up and it was crowded and they still found a way to make sure that there was excellent customer service from the time we walked into the door until the moment we walked out. It's easy to serve well when there are fewer guests, but because the place was absolutely teeming with people, they had the foresight to double-check every order to ensure that we were enjoying our meal to keep our glasses full and to also manage and maintain excellence throughout. This takes thoughtful leadership and a high degree of teamwork and as I said and watch them encourage each other cheer each other on connect and listen well. I love Waffle House there isn't nothing like it a good cup of coffee a waffle and delicious bowl of cheese grits can make your day right. This location is by far my favorite out of most in the area, this place has a friendly and attentive staff and for most the cleanest Waffle House that I have been. Every time I come to Waffle House I order the grand slam 2 eggs over easy, double bacon, white toast, grits with American cheese, and waffle. When you get a waffle you have to get get blueberries or pecan in it it's amazing. Grits may not be everyone's thing, but I learned to love it by adding cheese and on some occasions adding diced Ham in the grits with cheese is heaven and their coffee is crack it's that good. It's enjoyable when seeing a open kitchen watching your food being made nothing like seeing your eggs being cracked on the griddle and your bacon sizzling under a press I love seeing cooks work. First, I LOVE Waffle House, they are reliable and consistent and simple. I don't really have any complaints other than it was very apparent they were in a rush to fill food service delivery orders before customers dining in. Our server had a bit of an attitude, it was midnight, maybe she was tired, I surely was, so I excused it. Food was not disappointing at all, it never is. The people who work here simply do not care. I heard one of the waitresses talk about a customer and how they did not tip. You cannot demand a consumers money. It's simply service and here it's horrible it's a shame that you have to choose other places to eat b/c of service. Last time, I called and got a recording that they are not accepting call in orders. Today, the same lady picked up the phone. Who normally is below standards, when it comes to waitress manners. I assume they do this to a lot of customer to avoid phone calls at the location near the beltway and 59, The Waitress told me she appreciated the tip, because people don't normally tip for call in orders. My mom was hunger, I was hunger. We walked in and sat down. Everyone behind the counter said "Good Morning" which I thought was nice and of course meant they had all seen us. That is when it went south fast. We sat for 15 minutes and no one ever brought a menu or asked for our order. I would say they were busy, however, three people came in after us and they were served immediately. I am not saying that these folks were served first because they were African American, but I found it interesting that they got their food and no one had even taken our order. After fifteen minutes we left and went to Humble City Cafe. Where there was the same amount of diversity and were served right away. Arrived at noon and didn't get one of our waffles until 1:10pm, I get it that it can be a little busy but having to wait for an hour for a waffle? Come on now. We came to the waffle house on wilson road. Service was bad from the start. We sat and waited more than 5 minutes for anyone to come to our table. It was not busy so there was no excuse. Our waitress finally came, but the whole time she was on her phone, ( she had her ear piece ). She made no conversation with us, when we asked for condiments , she grabbed them and walked off still talking on her ear piece. The establishment was dirty as well. Flies everywhere. **bugs crawling in the food** My sister and I stopped in to eat around late at night. We both ordered hashbrowns and biscuits and gravy. As my sister was about to eat her hashbrowns she saw little bugs that appeared to be baby roaches crawling in the hashbrowns. We informed the server who stated that she needs to let the manager know that the bugs are "still getting in the food" and she thought they had fixed the issue. We both could not finish the food... she took my sisters hashbrowns off and charged us for the rest of the food even though we did not finish our food. read more

Dont expect a welcome. You walk in, no one greets you. Your family just stands there and speaks up that no one has seated you nor a "I will be right with you" out of curtsey. While we are telling this to a lady she goes right up to my husband's face and yells WELCOME and starts laughing sarcastically. We are finally seated we are watching this guy constantly scratching his head while touching all the clean plates mind you all the dandruff thats landing all over the his working area. We definitely walked out of this place, definitely needs better management keeping an eye on their people and making sure that customer service is being implemented. Came in at 12:20am with my family on July 3rd, 2020. It was the worst experience we have encountered at a waffle house location. The cook leaned on the counter 10 mins after we had put our order in, without making our food he then walked out of the kitchen. The waiter, Devin, then apologized to us and said he would cook our food. The cook had an attitude since we walked in and seemed to have refused to cook for us. Our order came out wrong but did not get upset as the waiters looked frustrated. We ended up leaving both waiters a $10 tip each, and thanked them for at least trying. We were the only hispanics in the restaurant and only our food didn't get prepared by the cook. This seriously has to be investigated. read more

Wow.... what a complete train wreck of an establishment. No one washed their hands once after grabbing dirty dishes, sneezing or coughing into their hands and wiping it on their pants, touching our menus, money and then going and grabbing our plates and cups and silverware. All handling was unsanitary, they were holding our cups by the rim that we touch our mouths with and silverware by where we eat with... this wasnt just one of them... ALL OF THEM. After we were sat, two other tables who were sat after us got their drinks AND food before we even got our order taken. The waitress took our drink order and hung out flirting, play fighting and giggling with the cooks instead of getting our beverages. Eventually we got our meals, literally one item at a time. Three plates of bacon came out and placed individually, two waffles placed down 5 minutes later and so on... except NONE of my food came out until everyone else was almost done.... Needless to say, she got my food order wrong. And there was black stuff in my apple juice as well as green stuff that looked like mold in my eggs. I was with family and didnt want to make a big stink, but I hope to God i dont get sick tonight. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Let me preface this by saying I've been a WH lover for years now, as well as a waitress since i was 15. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had. We walked in (party of 4) and it was packed except for one booth. It was clean, just had 2 stacked dirty plates on them. There was a guy (assuming he was playing host of sorts) with a clipboard and asked us for our name. We asked if the booth open was reserved and he said no, that he was just waiting on someone to clean it. 2 empty plates? I'll pick them up myself!!! Nonetheless we're waiting for about 20 minutes to have these plates picked up. When we're finally seated, we're assigned a waitress in training (i know how hard it is to be a waitress training, been there many times myself) so I was already being patient and lenient. She didn't put our order in for 15 minutes, I watched as she just walked around with our ticket still on her book. We waited 45 minutes for three hash-brown bowls, and when they came out, they were wrong. Had to wait an extra 15 minutes for our bacon that was supposed to be in our bowls. I know that this wasn't completely the waitresses fault, she didn't seem to have much help at all but overall i've never had this bad of an experience at a WH. Will not be returning, and i feel as though writing this review is pointless as i've seen many like this one. Putting their personal business out in the place of their employment. Nonetheless, I still tipped especially because we are in the middle of a pandemic and I know for a fact businesses are hurting. Got home and my order is INCOMPLETE. Missing my bacon, no condiments, etc. I seriously hope the owner of the franchise will do something concerning the issue(s). Maybe a better training! My experience here was meh.. me and a friend went here at about 2 in the morning and the service was pretty quick and friendly; however, the hash browns were burnt and my waffle was some weird shape like the batter didn't fully encompass the waffle making machine when preparing it. I wasn't really pleased with the display of my food when I got home nor was I happy about the burnt hash browns. I mean, it was 2am in the morning, would it havr killed them to make more hash browns before putting them into my to-go box? I might give them the benefit of the doubt and go back, maybe not.
