We stopped by Sharky's Waterfront Grill while visiting Humble, Texas, and really enjoyed this place. The decor immediately gives you that laid-back seafood spot vibe with the fishing nets and a nautical stuff hanging from the ceiling. We started with the fried calamari, which was really good and cooked just right. Then we decided to go all in and ordered the Whale Shark Platter. And yeah the name should've been our warning. This thing came loaded with seafood-stuffed crab balls, fried shrimp, a seafood-stuffed shrimp, catfish, oysters, hushpuppies, fries and coleslaw. Definitely more than enough food, and we pretty much sampled a little bit of everything. Everything was hot, crispy and seasoned well. The service was awesome too. Friendly, attentive, but not hovering over the table every five minutes which I appreciate. Overall, great food, cool atmosphere and good service. Sharky's was definitely a good find while we were in Humble. And if you order the Whale Shark Platter, just know what you're getting yourself into.

My family and I went for Memorial Day and sat on the patio! The weather was great and they had a special, $14 Margarita Flight! Great price and very good, especially with the hot weather. I ended up ordering the Hook, Line and Sinker Platter. It came with 1 catfish, shrimp, fries, coleslaw, and oysters. The oysters were fried but they were small, I would skip on the oysters and get extra shrimp! Otherwise, I highly recommend!

This is a nice restaurant with waterside seating, which is great on a nice day. The food is very good and the wait staff is friendly. There is a great selection of adult drinks that you can enjoy after a long day.

Sharky's was a fantastic dining experience! We ordered the shrimp and blackened redfish both were absolutely delicious. The shrimp were fresh and perfect, and the redfish was AMAZING! 10/10 The staff is great every time! Highly recommend!

Another review where I find myself outside of my usual areas for food. I was with family this Labor Day and was looking for a restaurant after our visit to Angel Lagoon. From our search, we decided to visit Sharky's Waterfront Grill. This was about a 30 min drive. From the initial visit, I was definitely surprised of the location of the restaurant. It is overlooking Lake Houston and also in a nice shopping center. We were a big party and couldn't pass up on the view outside. The staff are nice and attentive. We started off with the fried okra and calamari. They were nicely fried and light and the sauces were great compliments to add that nice flavor touch. I did something counterintuitive and seeing a majority is seafood on the menu, I went with The Great White Shark burger. What drew me was the name but also the little excerpt that read "not for wimps" I definitely was up for the challenge and my parents did not raise a wimp. That Great White Shark burger is huge with the works plus bacon and cheese. You definitely would need to be like a Great White Shark and devour it like Jaws haha. In short, I enjoyed it. Overall I enjoyed the visit to Sharky's Waterfront Grill. Nice area, nice view, and definitely worth breaking the seafood restaurant rule to pick the burger. No concerning remarks but I would like to see how they are on a typical day where the area is much busier since we visited on a holiday. If you are in the Kingwood area, it's a good visit. You do not need to bring your harpoon for any sharks in the water, just your appetite.

Nice ambiance and scenery if you sit outside. If you walk outside you might even spot some turtles. It was busy when we arrived but the wait time wasn't long. There's also a parking garage if you can't find street parking. As an appetizer we tried the tostada ceviche. It has jalapeños so it was a like spicy. They're not heavy as an appetizer which is good. The fish was a bit salty though. I got the macadamia crusted mahi-mahi which was very good and it was a good sized piece. I also got to try the salmon, which I thought was good but the person that ate it right it was a little over done. It's a great place with a good sized bar with tvs to watch sports. The drinks sounded good but I didn't get to try them but I'll be back to check them out. Everyone that works there was nice and attentive.

Great spot for casual lunch, happy hour, or dinner! It's right on the water and has both indoor and outdoor seating. Parking isdirectly in front of the restaurant. The food here is yummy! They have seafood and bar food. It's quick, casual, and tasty. They have a really fun drink menu as well!

Came here for lunch. The weather was nice so we ate out on the patio. They had fans to provide a nice breeze. There is a beautiful view of the lake. There was a lunch special and a happy hour menu. I went for the beer battered fish and chips. They provide a healthy portion but could have used more fries. The fish was cooked perfectly. We had fondue for an appetizer and it was really good. The server was very attentive and got everything right. Perfect for a casual lunch date.everyone else said their food was very good.

This place is not that impressive at all, and the drinks weren't that great either. But it has a nice deck by the lake, so that's nice!

Sat at the bar for 15 minutes while getting looked at and acknowledged multiple times without getting helped at all.

I happened to be in Kingwood for my friend's engagement party and decided to stop by Cowboy Surfer…read morefor a night cap. I've been to the original location in Spring Branch, but this was my first time visiting this location. The bar is located in a shopping strip off of 59. Parking is plentiful. Unlike the original location, you do not have to scan your ID (if you've been to the Spring Branch location, then you know what I'm talking about). It was pretty early on a Saturday evening, so it wasn't terribly busy. I sat at the bar. I don't know the bartender's name that served me, but she was nice. I ordered the Kingwood which is a gin based cocktail with cucumber. The drink was fine, but it was a little tart for my preference. A splash of simple syrup would have balanced it out. I did request for it to be less spicy (it has jalapeño in it). They have live music, though when I was there, they didn't have a band playing. They serve typical bar food like burgers, salads, and nachos. The vibe wasn't quite the same as the location in Spring Branch, but it was fine. This is a nice option for craft cocktails in Kingwood.

Where board shorts and bootstraps come together to create a laid back and southern experience,…read morewelcome Cowboy Surfer. Ambiance: 5/5 Nestled in the shopping strip center off 59 HWY from the outside it blends until you notice the sign and you see "cocktail lounge" I believe it's a first the front of Kingwood and I got excited and had to stop in. Plenty of parking and casual attire is welcome. But if you want to don your full on spurs, Stetsons and swagger or your surf threads, go right ahead! Although I'm sure shirt and shoes are required and you'll probably get cold since there is no sun or waves inside. Once inside the theme is as the name of the bar is, Cowboys and Surfers. Plenty of seating from booths, tables and bar. And there's also pool table and shuffle board. There was a live band "Pack of Strays" playing and was enjoyable. The lounge has live music on certain days and a Happy Hour everyday from 4-7, so I will have to come back to check that out. Service: 4/5 I sat at the bar and bartender didn't really engage much, though I noticed him engaging with a couple of select groups. No I wasn't on my phone when I walked in, if anything I make it a point to be mindful when entering any place as to note my surroundings and also be able to tell what the vibe is like. Though the service wasn't necessarily anything noteworthy, which attention & engagement would've made the experience/review a 5, the drinks were specially crafted which takes mindfulness to make. Food/Drinks: 4/5 Their menu has multiple options when it comes to drinks and also offer some food selections. I didn't get to try the food, but saw some items that looked interesting and want to try. They also have a list of beers and wine, so again, something for every taste. For this visit I only had two drinks. Beach Break: 4/5 with choice of Gin or Vodka (I went with gin of course) it has a refreshing taste as it is shaken with fresh cucumbers and lime juice, it also has simple syrup. It was more tart than I would think it probably was going for. I did appreciate that they didn't go heavy on the sweetness, but would've liked it with agave as the fresh ingredients would go well with it. For my next visit I will likely ask to substitute with agave as they do have it and it was in my next drink. The Kingwood: 4/5 crafted with my favorite "Hendricks gin" and named after the neighborhood we live in, this cocktail is also refreshing and enjoyed more than the Beach Break. It went down easy, bartender did ask if I was good with the jalapeño that it's muddled with and this time I opted to only have it with muddled cucumber. Again refreshing and not tart so maybe this is the alternative to Beach Break. It is made with topo chico and Tajín rim. Overall it is a laid back environment, live music and the drink options are promising, it's a cocktail shop (candy shop). If you live in the area or find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor and come kick up your boots and hang ten.
