It's a shame that I had to order a second entrée to receive my free chips and queso. First of all the discount needs to come faster than 24 hours because when I first join the rewards program, I bought a family pack of food then I asked if I could get a complementary chips and queso so I wouldn't have to drive all the way back over to the area and I was told no twice. The code came 24 hours and it has an expiration date on it of two weeks later so I had no other choice back but to drive over to 1960 all over again. I just think it's sad that we have to spend so much money to get a so-called free item. I did ask the customer service agent to double up that the free chips and queso coupon be sent sooner than 24 hours to prevent us from having to buy a second entrée in order to get it. I had a very disappointing experience at Cheddar's. I ordered the Classic Cheeseburger with no lettuce or tomatoes because I am allergic to tomatoes. Despite making that clear, my burger came out with both lettuce and tomatoes. I sent it back, expecting the mistake to be corrected. Instead, the second burger arrived with bacon, and I do not eat pork. At that point, I had completely lost confidence that my order could be prepared correctly. I ended up not eating anything and left the restaurant hungry and frustrated. The manager did apologize, which I appreciated, but unfortunately an apology didn't fix the fact that I never got a meal. To make matters worse, the service was extremely slow throughout the visit. I understand that mistakes can happen, but getting an order wrong twice, especially when it involves a food allergy and dietary restrictions, is unacceptable. I left a $15 tip based on the service we received, but a male waiter confronted me about the amount. His approach made me feel pressured and uncomfortable. Regardless of the tip amount, no customer should be confronted or made to feel intimidated over their decision. Tips are voluntary and should reflect the service received. If employees are unhappy with their wages, that is an issue to address with their employer--not their customers. There are other jobs that may offer higher pay, but confronting guests over a tip is unprofessional and unacceptable. This was my first time trying this restaurant and I was not at all disappointed! I had the grilled pork chop dinner with broccoli and cheese rice and a loaded baked potato. We also got the triple sampler app with chicken tenders, cheddar bites, and spinach dip. The service and waiter were really good. My only complaint were the cheddar bites that were poorly fried but we sent them back and they came out great on the second round. The pork chops were seasoned to perfection and the broccoli cheese rice was 10/10. They also have honey butter croissant rolls that are complementary with your meal and can be ordered in half to dozens. This is a great restaurant for causal dining, families, couples, etc. The decor was gorgeous and chic. It reminds me of a Texas Roadhouse but slightly better. We came here for a large family dinner after a graduation ceremony so it was after 8 pm. Because we had eight people, we couldn't join the waitlist online, instead it said to call. I called, and despite there being prompts about joining the waitlist the person who I was directed to told me that they didn't accept waitlist calls. Given that it is in the instructions online and also in the prompts, I was a little put off by that but thankfully, we didn't have to wait long when we did arrive. Our server was great. I forgot her name but she was kind, friendly and quick. Speaking of quick, our food also came out quick with the exception of the pot pie which came out in the right amount of time for it to cook properly. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. To top it off, we were seated at a table where the floor was leaking and we had a puddle of water under our feet for half the meal till we asked them to move us and we just picked our new seats. Every person dining gets one complimentary honey butter croissant and in my opinion, they're just okay. The chicken tenders were large and came with 4 pieces. I believe they use the same fried batter on majority of their fried foods which tastes fine but I personally got tired of it because it was a lot of crust. Flavor wise it tasted good. The baked potato was your average potato, my only complaint is that it could've been softer. And for the house salad, I really enjoyed it! The ranch was homemade and the lettuce was crispy, cold and fresh! To complete my meal I sipped on a strawberry lemonade and it was very good and came with fresh strawberries and puree inside! My 1st time here, been seeing this place many times. The place was packed for lunch on Sunday. The ambiance was OK, food wise wasn't that great. Service was good, our waitress was very friendly and courteous. When I was taken pictures of the restaurant trying to promote on Yelp but was stopped by one of the manager. The blackened so-called fish had no seasoning at all, did not taste like fish at all..I don't know what it was! The green beans were so greasy and SWEET, it made my glucose level in my body go up. Last night me and a friend went to Cheddar's and I must say that the food was on point. Our server brought out her best personality and she was very attentive and helpful. The did practice social distancing and masking. The parking lot was packed with people just looking to hang out and grab a bite to eat. So the overall experience was much better than some of my previous visit to Cheddar's. But the food was crazy delicious last night. And I brought my leftovers from last night and help eat that today.
